Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Laércio Villar | Brazilian veteran jazz drummer. Few drummers are recognized and remembered as "master". In the village of Pessegueiros in the small town of Moeda (MG), 60 km from Belo Horizonte, the musician Laércio Vilar lives simply. Born in Belo Horizonte, he is one of the first jazz drummers in Minas Gerais. Today with more than 70 years of life and 50 years of a career full of resistance, Laércio is one of the oldest drummers still active in the state and in national jazz, being one of the local precursors of free jazz. In this half century of career, Laércio has played with great musicians, such as Toninho Horta and Chico Amaral.

Search | Add | 4 | The Hilarious House Of Frightenstein | The Hilarious House of Frightenstein is a Canadian children's television series, which was produced by Hamilton, Ontario's independent station CHCH-TV in 1971.[1] It was syndicated both in Canada and internationally,[2] and occasionally still appears in some television markets. In Canada, the series has not aired for several years. A quirky sketch comedy series that included some educational content amid its zany humour, the show's cast included Billy Van, Fishka Rais, Guy Big, Mitch Markowitz, Vincent Price, and Julius Sumner Miller.[2] Van played most of the characters on the show.[2] All 130 episodes were made in a nine-month span starting in 1971; the scenes with Price and Miller were all filmed within one summer.

Later Francisco Ruíz left Los Electros to form his group called Los Duendes with Juan García (bass), Resurrección Ruíz (timbales) and Leonardo Vela (lead guitar). At the end of 1973, the group Los Génesis was formed in Rioja under the direction of Pedro Rojas (second guitar) with Walter Paima (bass), Charlemagne Díaz (drums), Hernán Ortiz (tumbas) and Juan Díaz Salazar (vocals). Since they needed a first guitar and composer, they went to Moyobamba to incorporate Leonardo, who was replaced in Los Duendes by Crox Alvarado. In the mid-seventies they go to Lima to record their first full length for the label [l590237] but they can't record as Los Génesis because there was already another band with that name, so they changed to Siglo XX. After the group disbanded, Leonardo and Pedro Rojas moved to Moyobamba and incorporated musicians Alejandro Angulo (timbales), Alfonso Mori (bass), Víctor Villacorta (tumbas) and Walter Arévalo (voice). On this trip to Lima, the owner of the Volcán invites Leonardo to stay and work at the record company but the job in the record company does not satisfy him and so he returns to Moyobamba to join the Grupo Arco Iris by Javier Puerta with Jorge del Águila (bass), Alejandro Angulo (timbales), Víctor Villacorta (tumbas) , Ernesto Ríos (vocals) and Walter Arévalo (vocals). Towards the end of the 1970s Jorge Franco Prado contacted Leonardo to relaunch the Lima group Los Reales del Perú with musicians from Lima and Moyobamba: Alfonso Rojas (first and second guitar), Jorge del Águila (bass), Guillermo Alvarado (timpani) and Eduardo Vizconde (vocals). In 1980 Leonardo went alone to Lima and recorded two small albums with his own compositions for the label [l1799240]. For these productions he takes the name of Los Reales de Moyobamba, even if the truth is that he was the only one present and the label completed the group with local musicians. After this, Leonardo is encouraged to form his own group, for this he leaves Los Reales, where Alfonso Rojas permanently takes on the first guitar and the task of composing, Guillermo Alvarado leaves to form the Grupo Atlantic. In the early eighties Leonardo recorded his first opera as Sonido Verde de Moyobamba, the group incorporates Carlos Córdova (second guitar), Leoncio Vásquez (bass), Marcial Rojas (timbales) and Abner Carbajal (singer), the latter two from Los Rangers de Moyobamba. |

Search | Add | 4 | Cattywompus | Cattywompus | Cattywompus is an American rock band formed in 2001 in Los Angeles, California. Cattywompus is Jonathan Lennartz lead singer/rhythm guitar, Aaron Bateman lead guitar, James Webber bass/vocals and John Webber on drums. Cattywompus released its first EP entitled, “Backwards Evolution,” a five-track album. Around this time they added Kevin Webber, John and James’ father, on percussion adding a deeper dimension to the music. The songs were recorded at Hot Pie Studios in Pasadena, California. The tracks were recorded analog by the Webber’s cousin and studio co-founder Paul Gagliaradi in a whirlwind 2 days of sessions. The band held a CD release party in North Hollywood at a favorite local venue that was overpacked and ultimately shut down by the local fire marshal. Around this time they began venturing out playing shows further out in San Diego and Tempe, Arizona. Cattywompus followed up “Backwards Evolution” with the release of the “Wildfire,” in 2005. This EP was again independently produced and basic drum tracks recorded analog at Hot Pie Studio, but this time it received assistance from Los Angeles audio producer, Kent Hitchcock. The band had these tracks digitally converted to Pro Tools. After acquiring an abandoned Santa Monica recording studio for a few months and purchasing a Pro Tools console, the band took over producing the songs. This six-song EP garnered much attention and acclaim in the indie community and received reviews comparing the band to The Black Crowes and two of its major influences, The Rolling Stones and Neil Young. Critics noted the signature “tight rhythm section” of the band and the appeal to fans of both classic rock and modern acoustic rock. (rocknworld.com and allaccessmagazine.com) They began playing at larger venues in Hollywood including The Roxy, Key Club, Viper Room and The House of Blues. In October of 2005, Cattywompus embarked on its first tour. Within one month, the band played to fans at shows and live radio performances in nine different states—from California to Florida and back. The tour greatly increased the band’s fan base and led to radio play on college radio stations and attention on the internet. Sadly the excitement from the success of the tour was short lived. Not long after Cattywompus arrived home, Kevin Webber passed away from cancer. During this time of profound loss, a rush of writing took place. To honor Kevin’s love for music, the band got together with these new songs and brought in the guidance of Britt Phillip to return to the recording studio in early 2006. Britt had been a bandmate of Kevin’s in the 70’s and 80’s who had lost contact over the years. James reached out to him after finding his name on several hand written cassette tapes in Kevin’s collection. Soon after, Britt invited the band to record in his newly built home recording studio. Within a month they had a full length record, raw and ready to mix. “Gospel Hymns and Original Sins,” the first full-length release from the band, was released in early 2007. The LP was once again self-produced, but this time Cattywompus got some help. In addition to producer Britt Phillips work, Thom Flowers mixed the tracks in Santa Barbara and Evren Goknar mastered the album at Capitol Records in Hollywood. Reviews of the album observe the emotional charge behind the album as a result of Kevin’s passing but highlight the catchiness of the tunes and well composed harmonies which arouse a sense of nostalgia. (getunderground.com) After a sold out record release party at The Roxy in Hollywood, the band embarked on a short tour opening for Reckless Kelly up the California coast through Santa Cruz and San Francisco. In 2007 Cattywompus moved to Austin, Texas. During 2007 and 2008 the band played up and down Texas hitting as many iconic theaters, honky tonks and haunts as they could find. They played notable shows at Antone’s & Momo’s in Downtown Austin and as the opener for JJ Grey & Mofro at the Granada Theater in Dallas. During this time the band started recording a new song they had been closing shows with, New Wave Outlaw Politic, at The Recording Conservatory of Austin. For the first time, there was a slow down as the band had began new lives in a new city. This was also a time where they embarked on new personal adventures and decided to take a break after 7 years of writing, rehearsing, recording and hundreds of live performances. New Wave Outlaw Politic sat quietly, locked away, unfinished and unheard. Until now. Now the New Wave Outlaw Politic is out now! Find it and any of the other Albums and EPs on all your favorite streaming and digital services. |

Search | Add | 4 | SeezNation | Sizwe Jabulani Miya | SeezNation | Sizwe Jabulani Miya | born 1996, April 02 started out as a student who did public speaking, poetry, sketching, dance, and debate at school (around Alexandra Township), he lived with his Grandmother. His passion for poetry and debating, with the assistance of his uncles who listened to Rap music ignited his love for the art-form. That’s when SeezNation came to be! He used to watch other battle rappers doing ciphers at school, and that assisted him in perfecting his freestyle. A “battle call out” with a school mate who was considered the “illest MC” (Prodigy) at the time made SeezNation take writing seriously. The would later form a group known as “FBI” performing in school shows and hosting their own ciphers. They shared the same passion and started writing songs using ”Beats” from Rappers like Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Bishop Lamont amongst others. SeezNation started creating his own beats and got better as time went on. He would also book studio time to record his music. He relocated to Soweto in 2014 (White City Jabavu) to stay with his great grandmother, which affected the group (FBI) due to distance, during this time SeezNation would meet and collaborate with other artists/producers and later decided to release his music under his own record label Indygo Entertainment. His debut EP: My Moment features producer “39Thirty” and rapper “O2“. The EP was released on 1st September 2019, with more to follow. |

Search | Add | 4 | Pauline Oduro | "Paulina Oduro is a talented and evocative performer with over two decades of singing under her belt. Paulina moved to London at the age of nine, with her diplomat father and mother. Her interest in music began at an early age.Recognising her talent and enthusiasm for music, her parents encouraged her, in addition to her normal education, to undertake formal tuition in music, learning to play classical piano. Her main interest in music was to singing. However, as with most parents, they insisted on her having a more stable career. Paulina therefore trained as a nurse but after three years in that profession she felt music was her proper calling and at the age of 21, she quit nursing to become a professional singer. She joined a reggae band called Casanova and within six months they released their first single. Since then Paulina has sang with a number of reggae and soca bands. Her pedigree includes performances with such greats like Calypso King Mighty Sparrow, soca favourite Arrow, Lord Kitchener, Alexander O'neil and renowned Trinidadian singer David Rudder. Her silky smooth vocals have also attracted most leading Ghanaian artists to record with her. Paulina was also one of the lead female vocals with the Western Diamonds, the top Hi-life group in Ghana from the early to mid-1990s. Her solo debut CD, Woman Power, released in March 1999, was a reflection of her various musical influences and experiences over the years. It contained most genres of African music. Sung in both English and her native Fanti language in her inimitable vocal style, the CD could be described as the ultimate in modern African music. She has been shuttling Ghana and UK back and forth. When in Ghana, she performs alongside celebrated Ghanaian musicians like Paapa Yankson as well as up and coming artists. She also lends her experience as a quest judges to several competitions in Ghana. From http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/people/person.php?ID=618

Search | Add | 4 | Jagger Jack | Gael Huet | Jagger Jack has discovered the 'Thunderdome compilations' at the age of eleven. These early beginnings led him later to explore the world of Free Parties, mostly to see the Dj [a=Manu le Malin] playin'. He saw him at a 'Futuria', that felt just like a punch in the face. The urge to play his own music grew stronger until one day he scored his first set of decks. The will to play in public pushed him to participate in organising Free Parties around the french Alps. After a while he decided to organise legal parties where he could invite and sometimes play with djs of all styles and all origins. While other European countries can claim to support a vibrant electronic alternative culture the same can not be said of metropolitan France. With up to 5000 people gathering together the perception of local authorities toward "techno culture" and the resulting constraints are just killing it. As an activist for the industrial hardcore sound in France, Dj [a=Jagger Jack] created [l=Hardcore Deluxe Records], the label on which one he has already composed with [a=Pirate Mind] two Ep :"Share your agression part I " and "part II". Today influenced by "IST style", the Dutch gabber sound and the industrial sound generally, he deliver us powerful, melodious, structured hardcore, in the rather rare tones in France. Indeed far from the "frenchcore" and from the sound "tribe" in overproduction in our country, Jagger Jack proposes us a pleasantly surprising musical alternative with his compositions and mid-tempo mix. |
