Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 4 | Imago Mortis Photography | Sean M. Palfrey | “Classy Occultism” – Terrorizer Magazine, Sept 2008 Sean M. Palfrey (°1986, Detmold, Germany) AKA Imago Mortis makes photos, films, mixed media artworks and sculpture. By referencing the traditions of alchemy and the occult, surrealism, gothic romanticism, grand-guignolesque black humour, and symbolism, Palfrey creates his work through experimental and often labour-intensive processes which can be seen explicitly as a personal exorcism ritual. With the motto “Art is Dead | Death is Art” Palfrey distils the macabre traditions of fine art found in the surrealists, dada, romantics, pre-Raphaelites, and medieval eras to create dark conceptual photography and films; utilising elements such as infra-red, low-key lighting, long-exposures, double exposures, and traditional analog methods. Palfrey also creates alchemy and occult inspired paintings as well as sculptural taxidermy through the crystallisation and oxidisation of skulls, bones and shells. Sean M. Palfrey currently lives and works in Lincoln, UK and is available for selected commissions. Biography graciously provided by Mr. Corbin Grimm (2017) |

| Search | Add | 4 | Oscar Burnside | Oskar Szafraniec | Oskar Szafraniec a.k.a. Oscar Burnside (born in Poland in 94') - is a musician, producer and live performer. Since the age of 10 experimenting with music and sound. Oskar's first remix was released on Italian label NuZone Tools when he was only 13. He released his own track on the same label called Dark Side in 2008 and many more tracks with Der Hut (Germany), Shufflemood (Argentina), Frequenza Records (Italy) and other labels around the globe. Since then he's been DJing in clubs and on the festivals, studying music genres, history and spending most of his time working in the studio. In 2010 he released his first and immediately controversial LP album - 'The Suicide' on Dirty Stuff Rec. and another ambient self-released 'Water under dream'. In 2011 he was chosen by the Kluboterapia Awards as one of the top 5 Polish Artists. When he was 17, he dropped out of school to move to Berlin. It was a turning point for Oskar, finding new inspiration, meeting new people, partying every weekend and working on music and touring with UK producer, A Guy Called Gerald. Since then he started to focus on performing his own music with 2 laptops and singing live. He visited many countries around the world, in 2013 he's been touring in Japan with A Guy Called Gerald and had several gigs in Russia and Europe. Oskar finally decided to cast off the Burnside moniker and work as Oskar Szafraniec. Since 2014 he brings more instruments on the stage as he's performing with Roland Aira machines, midi controllers, microphones and laptop. He is very inspired by the people he meets, open minded, curious about different cultural perspectives and that's how he developed his personal, unique sound. |

| Search | Add | 4 | Downbeat Switch | Formed in 2002, disbanded in 2017. Downbeat Switch is a band of friends with a passion for music, life, and positivity. The group was founded in the Summer of 2002 in Mathews, VA by Wayne (bass) and Meredith (guitar, vocals). They moved to Richmond, VA for college that Summer and began playing with another Mathews High School friend, Michael Register (drums), who had also moved to Richmond for school. They began jamming and recording in Meredith's basement beneath his apartment in the Fan district of downtown Richmond. They soon met Bryan Clark (vocals), a Richmond-born vocalist whom they met through Meredith's sister. The band recorded and mixed their first L.P. entitled "Funk Shui", that was comprised of raw demo songs compiled on one disk which they released on June 29th, 2004. Blending rock, funk, reggae, jazz, hip hop, and folk in an eclectic ensemble of riffs, melodies, and grooves. With rhythms from the Caribbean, to Southern rock break downs, Downbeat Switch became known for their quick changes, tight rhythmic melodies, scat-like vocal harmonies, and high-energy live shows around Virginia. In 2005, Doug DeForge (keyboard, turntables), another Mathews, VA native joined the band and the band recorded a follow-up album entitled: "Seconds", which they released on July 6th of 2005. Downbeat Switch continued to tour around Virginia and North Carolina for the following three years until Doug left the band in the Fall of 2008. Tommy Vinson (keyboard), another Richmond-born musician and friend of Meredith's joined the group in the Winter of 2008. They began writing and recording in their new studio they had built in the West End of Richmond at Wayne and Meredith's house. Downbeat Switch released their third self-produced album entitled: "Run from the Sun" on June 5th, 2009. During the recording sessions of "Run from the Sun", the band brought in a talented female guest vocalist named Jenna Bayly, to add backup vocals to a few tracks on the album. She worked out beautifully in the songs she was on, and the band asked her to start performing shows with the group full time. In the Winter of 2010, Bryan left the group after 7 years as the frontman, and Jenna stepped up to become the lead vocalist with Meredith and Tommy singing backup. She brought a whole new sound and image to the band, and inspired the group to embark on a different level of musicianship. Jenna strived to diversify the sound and lyrics on new songs, while also staying true to the rich harmonies with Meredith that the band had always been known for. On October 1st, 2010, the band released an EP entitled: "The Red Door Sessions" that featured Jenna on lead vocals on 8 previously recorded and released songs from "Run from the Sun", as well as minor mixing and mastering adjustments were done. The EP was released for free at live shows and as a free download on several of the band's websites. "The Red Door Sessions" was very well received and the group was able to distribute hundreds of physical copies just within a few months. In the Winter of 2011, after 9 years as the co-founder and drummer for the group, Michael parted ways with DbS to pursue his career in marketing and embarked on an extensive U.S. tour with a promotion company. But with his recommendation and wholehearted support, the band asked their long-time friend and supporter, Rob Reardon to pick up the drumsticks. With Rob's diverse drum styles and seasoned skills, he was the perfect fit for Downbeat Switch. Shortly after Rob joined the group, Tommy stepped down as the keyboardist and was replaced by Sean Reese. A local Richmond musician who was eager to add his own flavor to the groups already diverse sound. Since then, the band continues to write, record, and perform their music for their fans all over. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Alfonso Caballeros | Alfonso Caballeros | Alfonso José Caballeros Solares, a DJ and music producer who has collaborated with Lazy Soul, Schalldeluxe, Aereotek, Creptonite, Egothermia, Black Drop and Fierce Animal records. His interest in electronic music genre began when he was thrilled by the electronic sounds and synthesized melodies of L'Amour Toujurs album. His firsts approaches with the local scene were given through national radio shows and in parties from the music collective Musica 502. As an artist he makes progressive house, techno, ambient, chillout and lounge genres. His firsts music influences were Stephane K, Superchumbo, Sergio Argueta, Azzido da Bass, Trancesetters, and Lee Burridge among others. Nowadays some of his favorite artists are Jay Lumen, Bas Albers, Ramiro Puente, Agent Orange, DJ Dextro, Rolando Hodar, Kostas Maskalides, Chicago Loop, Phutek, and Chris Craig. He has been on stage with Carlos Valdez, Guillermo Porras, Token Selekta, Gabriel Cazali, Dub Selector, Junglist Selektor, Badi Yalid, Rod V, Mr. Warpaint, Lainfiesta, Diego Pleitez, and Alejandro Rivera. For Alfonso "the local scene has had an important output since 2009. Several genres have become public and the lists of DJs and producers have become longer. Among them there are artists who have signed in various important foreign labels and the have known how to stay Guatemala afloat in the global scene. More support from promoters is needed in order to give a chance to the new artists who get into the scene; keeping a filter so the quality that's handled doesn't decrease. As a negative side there are more opportunities to close friendships, so this doesn't allow talented people to get known in the field. Guatemala has won a good position as one of the most prolific and important scenes in the Central American region." Alfonso recommends us the following local artists: Gabriel Cazali, Mncve, Alejandro Rivera, Wuillermo Tuff, Rod V, Lujo Prado, and Token Selekta. |

| Search | Add | 4 | Mordum Terrorist | "Ever felt at peace with the clanging sound throbbing against your head? The music fades away to senseless, monotonous pandemonium. You risk going deaf, but you only live this life once despite having just a single pair of ears. You decide to allow a few more minutes of this mayhem and then you decide to surrender. Inspiration suddenly seems more important than preserving sanctity or sanity. Rationalization flies into dead oblivion as you are born again; in the same body, but with a different mind. They called rock 'the music of the devil', little realizing that all humans are inherently Satanic as they are divine. The same people that loved wars, manipulation and all that jazz! Maybe they were right; but in being right they neglected their deep yearning for chaos. The kind that appears to be premeditated and synchronized and is still beyond control. The love for chaos is a necessity. Without chaos, we tend to undermine the need for its less-conceited better half - peace. Yet chaos remains the evil twin, the neglected sheep(I have issues with the term 'black sheep'), like Cain, the cursed one. Again, Cain existed so that Able would be favoured. I don't love chaos. I merely respect it." | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Mellotron Nights | Pablo Canalís | Mellotron Nights is a symphonic project by Pablo Canalís, where the Mellotron 4000D Mini takes center stage as the solo instrument. This iconic keyboard, known for its rich timbral palette, brings to life a work inspired by mythology and the occult, evoking cinematic and progressive soundscapes. The music of Mellotron Nights draws from the essence of classic horror and science fiction film scores, influenced by composers such as Bernard Herrmann, Jerry Goldsmith, Danny Elfman, Maurice Jarre, and Krzysztof Komeda. At the same time, it carries the legacy of progressive rock, reminiscent of Goblin, King Crimson, and Gentle Giant, while also incorporating elements reminiscent of video game music. This album is an atmospheric exploration that transports the listener into a hypnotic sonic universe, filled with evocative textures and enigmatic soundscapes. Mellotron Nights will consist of eight tracks, which will be gradually released in digital format throughout 2025 and 2026. The project will culminate in the physical release of a concept album that brings together all the previously released digital singles. |

| Search | Add | 4 | Styrofoam Duck | Minneapolis, MN. Styrofoam Duck had begun receiving accolades for its playful band name as well as their quirky live performances, in which an actual 6 foot styrofoam duck shared the stage, flashing its head light, heckling the audience and band-mates. With the release of the band’s first full-length CD on Modern Radio, “Emergency’s Only Friend”, The Duck and its band-mates agreed that perhaps the best thing for all involved would be to part ways. As the Duck pursued various lucrative solo endeavors, the remaining members took a greater focus on the music without the distracting, albeit dynamic talking duck. The band remained a three piece with the addition of Jason Powers before taking a more experimental direction and then disbanding all together. ([l71202]) | |

| Search | Add | 4 | The Out-Sect | The members of The Out-Sect all met while living in a Philadelphia junkyard. On weekends they would gather to drink beers inside a broken down 1982 GMC Caballero with a copy of Back From The Grave stuck in the car’s cassette player. Instantly being drawn to the trashy sounds of those pimple-faced mid-60s punks, they figured they could write a song half as good as any of them. And that’s just what they did! Using instruments they, quite literally, found in the trash, the band has managed to write a handful of deranged “songs” that will leave you asking yourself “What is that smell?” and “Dear god, can they just stop playing!?” | |

Their debut album, which was released in 1995, is entitled "Ghetto Soldiers". It's a local classic. A must have if you like that mid-90's indie gangsta rap. South Side Posse returned in 2000 with "Anticipation Of Death". This album is dedicated to the late D-Man. It's another banger, featuring Brotha Lynch Hung & Loki from Sac-Town and E-Skool & Dun Deala from the Veteran Click. A third album, thought be called "Friends", was recorded in the early 2000's but it never came out... Of the members, only Mon-E-G pursued a noticeable solo career, releasing several albums & collaborating with Freeway on many occasions. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Stoney Bone Child | Stoney Bone Child is vocalist and guitarist Stephan Miller, lead guitarist Allan Meier, bassist Craig Merrill and drummer Kevin Hart. All four are from Lake Forest Park and went to school together. Meier and Miller started the band while still in school in January 1992, with Hart and Miller joining a short time later. Last year they took their original songs into the local Chateaux recording studio and came out with the self-titled, 11-track recording produced by the studio's owner and operator, David Thompson. The music is a clean-but-crunchy hybrid of pop, rock and metal. The songs have lots of hooks and harmony, are sometimes almost orchestral in execution and are topped by Miller's high-reaching vocals. Miller, who writes most of the lyrics, says he draws material from his everyday experiences, although he tries not to get too complex or internalized. "I don't want to sing what only I can understand," he says. | |
