These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

By 2008 the remaining trio continued to perform Dutch songs in the vein of Acda & De Munnick and Veltdhuis & Kemper. Their distinctive sound, three voices harmonizing, was already apparent on their debut album, 'Mijn Wereld', released 2006. In 2008 they released their second album, 'Eerst Is Nu Wel Klaar' as a full blown six piece rock band. The album was an improvement to it's predecessor in sound and songwriting qualities. Their third and last studio album 'Bijna Voor Elkaar' (2012) was another improvement but it turned out to be their last full album of new work. The follow-up was an acoustic live version of 'Bijna Voor Elkaar', recorded in an intimate setting for a small selected audience. The set was also filmed and released on DVD. With no recording contract and a breakthrough elusive the group called it a day in 2015, playing a farewell gig on September 12, 2015 in 'De Nieuwe Kolk' in Assen. After the break-up of Asman Jason embarked on a solo career beginning with the album 'Daggedachten' which got quite some airplay on the Dutch national radio. The follow up album was called 'Nachtgedachten' and continues in the vain of his debut album. In 2019 he was invited to record a live version of 'Nachtgedachten' in front of an audience in Nijend in the Dutch village of Anderen. After a relatively quite period of time Jason released his album 'Tussen Twijfel En Tijd' which shows Jason matured as a songwriter as well as a musician. The album has songs in various moods and styles, but are all recorded with a full blown and competent backing group. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | The Beagle Ranch | Beagle Ranch | Initially formed as a solo musical vehicle for frontman/songwriter Stephen Bandola, this Calgary, Alberta based band has evolved over the years to where it is now a fully functioning quartet. But let's take you back in time while introducing you to the members of the group. Bandola is formerly the bass player and co-frontman of early '90s college-radio favourites Citrus Park. With the Beagle Ranch, he set out to play and write melodic guitar-based music with a strong songwriting focus and an appreciation for the perfectly crafted 3-minute pop tune. Bandola's first quest for pop perfection manifested itself in the 2001 release "Starcrossed". Recorded at former Citrus Park bandmate Jeff Burns' recording studio, "Starcrossed" saw the Beagle melodic direction firmly in place. Shortly after the release of "Starcrossed", the Beagle ranks increased by one. Lead guitar/harmony vocalist Jeff Kushner formally joined Bandola. Also a Calgary music scene veteran, Kushner had most recently fronted his own group, "The Beauty Myth". The duo released the 6 track recording "Mr. Ordinary World" in 2005, and played around Calgary as an acoustic duo. 2006 saw the band add bassist Conan Daly to the lineup. A longtime friend of both Jeff and Steve, and former bassist with Celtic quintet "Scatter the Mud", Daly joined his fellow pop connoisseurs in their quest for pop perfection. While gigging frequently throughout 2007 & 2008, the Beagles still had time (with the aid of their drummer pal Josip Vulic) to record the 4 song "Christmas Time" E.P. The recording (again recorded at Burns studio) centered around Bandola's seasonal ode "It's Christmas Time". More recording and playing in 2009, (with help from their pal Miles Krowicki on drums) followed by an extended break in 2010 brings us almost up to speed. 2011 was a bountiful year for the band. They released their full length CD, "A Moment Away" to great reviews (ranked #21 by the Absolute Powerpop website (Florida) "Powerpop CDs of the year" - ahead of new releases by Sloan and Fountains of Wayne). They also welcomed drummer Dave Horrocks to the Beagle ranks. In addition to his extensive behind the board experience at Calgary's Sundae Sound, Dave is an accomplished percussionist, most notably keeping time alongside Daly in Scatter the Mud. 2020 sees the band on the verge of releasing a new recording. A relatively new project, Technicolor Noir are from Paris' underground garage-rock scene; members feature : Astro, founder & lead guitarist, a veteran garage-rocker who previously played in the Tribe, Bang!, Scope, Bouton Rouge and numerous short-lived bands in-between... Eric, another veteran, but of the Paris indie pop-rock scene, mostly as ex.drummer and bassist in touring underground French singin' Power-Pop band, "La Moutarde Me Monte au Nez", with a record of 4 LPs; he now plays drums in Technicolor Noir... Yves, the original bass player who previously split after recording the group’s first 45 on “Dig The Fuzz’s Singles Club” limited issues is now back in the fold. He still leads, on the side (on guitar & vocals), his own Paris garage-rock band “Les Guillotines”, who had the privilege of being the first record released by the French indie label “Requiem Pour Un Twister” on their early subsidiary “Croque Macadam”. That label has since issued some records by “Triptides”, “The Proper Ornaments” or “The Young Sinclairs”... and Seva, direct from Russia, lead guitar and co-founder of the Karovas Milkshake, one of two of the most proeminent Russian garage-rock bands (the other being close friends, the Thunderbeats! ); he plays second guitar, alternating rhythm and leads, he sings lead on some tracks too. There you have the NEWEST line-up of this garage Folk-Rock project which started out as "Cloud Pilots" in 2013... ______ Members' bio. : Yves : likes singing about Guillotines (in French! ) and hunting wild ducks and boars when not singing hymns in churches on sundays! Interestingly enough, it was a cover of Joy Division’s “She’s Lost Control” – which was included in Alive She Died’s single self-released tape titled Viva Voce – that was selected by the fashion brand Gucci, for their Cruise 2016 Campaign. Since April 2021, the film is screened at the Gucci Garden museum in Florence/Italy, and also within the Museum Virtual Tour via the museum’s website. The film was also presented at Gucci exhibitions in the cities of Shanghai, Seoul, Bangkok, Tokyo & Sydney. Since Alive She Died, Daphne went on fronting the bands Trespass, Atria, and Atria the Project, occupying a region respectively ranging from new wave to electro to alternative-rock genres. What remains intact throughout all her performances, is a voice characterized by emotional intensity and lyrics dealing with the imperfections and the fragile side of the human nature, darkness and light, love and trouble, fear and faith – all covered by a sense of melancholic victory over them. While freelancing as a voice-over artist, in the right here and now, Daphne is in the recording studio working on new songs, all wearing an alternative-rock outfit concealed by an urban-romantic authentic essence. |
