Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Monkey Nenufar Monkey Nenufar is a musical project, underlaying the story telling of a strong and unique friendship between Ben Vedren & Leiris. Procrastination EP would be their first release to come out in 2014 on Cabanne’s label Minibar which received superb feedback and set them instantaneously into a solid space in the micro-house music scene. They have also releases on labels such as Reduce Records, Discobar or Rotate. They have played live in venues such as Concrete, Hoppetosse, Club der visionaere, Botanica party Sweden or Gazgolder in Moscow. Minimal and energetic, their musical style can be hardly categorized as every tune is producing its own reality, but they have certainly developed an identified signature in their music easily recognized and felt.

Search Add 2 Jerome De Pietro Jerome Di Pietro After studying electro-acoustic music Jerome taught himself to play drums and joined his first band. Training as a tape-operator he worked alongside [a=George Chkiantz] ([a=Led Zeppelin], [a=Jimi Hendrix], [a=Rolling Stones]) and was soon engineering his own sessions. Armed with the knowledge of the recording studio as an instrument in its own right, he collected his own equipment and started making music. Within a year he was working for the UK band "[a=Dodgy]". As well as programming on ‘[r=412266]’ he produced the additional music which dovetails the album tracks and contributed b-sides and dance mixes. He joined the band for the UK leg of their album tour then returned to the studio to remix the whole of the album. The result, '[r=11765341]', was well received on its release although it was overshadowed by the band's well publicised split. It is available as disc 2 of the greatest hits compilation 'Ace A's and Killer B's'. Post [a=Dodgy], Jerome continued working with Nigel Clark - their singer, bassist and main song writer. Together they collaborated on the music for "2by4", “Refuge” and other film/tv soundtracks. The pair also worked on ‘fader5000’ – a band and multimedia project for which they recorded the unreleased album ‘Make Believe Love’. As ‘Baroque Dub’ Jerome has produced a number of eclectic underground releases. The album ‘It’s A Lifestyle Thing’ is considered by many to have been at the forefront of the bootleg and mash-up scenes. A part-time member of the Birmingham (UK) hip-hop/funk/reggae collective ‘Munchbreak’, he is also integral to the live experimental space funk of ‘FuzzMagic’. He now runs a netlabel promoting predominantly digi-dub and mixtape releases.

Search Add 2 Leon Heale Australian jazz bassist and vocalist. Leon grew up in South Gippsland, Victoria and played guitar. He moved to Melbourne in the late 1950s and swapped to bass. He took lessons with Lyn Challen and had a residency on Hayman Island with some seasoned professionals. Around this time Leon met Graeme Hall, who introduced him to the jazz work of Bill Evans which he adopted. In the 1960s he spent a lot of time at sea playing in the orchestras on cruise liners (to Athens, Southampton – New York, Las Palmas, Bahamas) along with residencies in London, Ipswich and Scarborough in the U.K, Dacca, and Kuala Lumpur. These contracts required Leon to learn electric bass and singing arranged group vocals. In between these cruises and residencies overseas there was work on ABC series Boomeride, as well as playing with New World Trio – both of these featured folk style music. Leon is a group vocals enthusiast and was in supplementary vocal groups attached to Brian May's ABC Showband weekly recording output including The ABC Singers, The Kevin Hocking Singers. Throughout the 1970s he was also the bass player in jazz bands, The Garry Hyde Four and Garry Hyde Tradition. From the mid-70s Leon played with many well known Australian jazz figures, including James Morrison, Frank Traynor, Bob Barnard, Joe Chindamo, Graeme Hall. In the 2000s Leon’s interest in community orchestras redeveloped and found him playing symphonies and concertos with the Frankston Orchestra, Zelman Orchestra and Maroondah Symphony Orchestra.

Search Add 2 Simbad Segui Simbad Segui Born and raised in Paris, where his reggae-dub roots were fed with hip hop through years of graffiti raids, and with techno and house after listening to Laurent Garnier, at 17 Simbad Segui chose the city of Cordoba to call it home. Since 1996 he started djing at clubs and cultural events. Tightly linked to the development of the local electronic music scene, in 1998 he co-organized a series of interdisciplinary events called Mundo-Mix, one of them taking place at the Contemporary Art Center of Cordoba. Many clubs from Buenos Aires gradually began to demand Simbad on the turntables. After his debut in the world famous Clubland nights at Pacha, his visits to the capital city of Argentina suddenly multiplied. Apart from playing at every local Creamfields edition, he"s also played big events such as Brahma Beats, 1Live! and SonarSound Buenos Aires 2006 featuring Isolee and Warp"s Plaid, among other artists. His talent often jumps abroad: he played many gigs in Mexico, Uruguay, Brazil and France. Through the Dialogo Beat collective formed by visual artists, writers and musicians, Simbad has programmed and played different events with such guests as fellow Canadian artist Mike Shannon. To his regular commitments around Cordoba, and the whole country, he adds two monthly residencies at Peek-a-boo and Lokitas, where he"s played with the likes of Phil Stumpf, Someone Else and Serafin. His best selections can also be enjoyed in Buenos Aires: monthly at the Soup night at Bahrein club, with dj friends Carlos Alfonsin and Cristobal Paz
