Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Sweet Scarlet | Sweet Scarlet | Sweet Scarlet is a Norwegian band based in Oslo, which has built a solid reputation for their powerful song structures and passionate delivery. With music that is largely based on a wall of sound and sincere feelings, the band is described by many as very un-Norwegian in their expression. In addition to over 2 million streams on Spotify, the music of Sweet Scarlet has felt the beginning of having a global audience, and has been played on radio stations in Japan, Canada, the USA and Australia, as well as Norway. The band has been through a 4-year creative rebirth that has resulted in new songs with a sound that is difficult to categorise without having to look internationally. Vocals and guitar: Cornelius Hermansen Vocals and guitar: Bård-Åge Nyland Pedersen Bass: Robin Richardsen |

Search | Add | 5 | Invisible Light Agency | Invisible Light Agency (now known as ILA) is Eldita Tarani and James Vernon. The group started in 2015 when a mutual friend and musician introduced the duo who quickly bonded over their love for the English/French band Stereolab, along with psychedelia and the creative process. Tarani, originally from Kosovo, was visiting California on a student visa. This left the group with uncertainty but also a mentality to enjoy their time working together since it wasn’t always a constant on-going opportunity. The group learned not to take things for granted with regards to collaborating and writing. While this sparked a sense of urgency, it also paved the way for playfulness with the creative process. Vernon has built a studio over the years and provides musical foundations. Tarani provides additional musical input on synthesizers and guitars as well as main vocals and lyrics. The songs are a joint effort and co-written. Their style has been described as “future retro, psychedelic pop, and dream pop” and has been compared to Vanishing Twin, Stereolab, Melody’s Echo Chamber and Corridor among their fans and friends alike.

In July, Bon Bon and the trio waxed ten tunes. Four of them ("I Drove You Into Some Else's Arms", "Do You Know How It Feels To Be Lonesome", "Building A Dream", and "I Just Had To See You Dear") were issued as Bon Bon and the Red Caps Trio. The other six ("Playin' The Field", "Riffin' With The Riff-Raff", "Must We Say Goodbye?", "Heaven Happens Tonight", "Too Bad", and "It Was So Nice Knowing You") were released as Bon Bon and the Park Avenue Trio. In August 1945, Bon Bon and the Red Caps Trio recorded "My Dreams Are Getting Me Nowhere" and "You'd Better Stop Playing With Fire". This time, the Red Caps Trio consisted of Steve Gibson, Romaine Brown, and bassist Israel Crosby (who had been with Fletcher Henderson's orchestra and had briefly been a member of the 3 Sharps And A Flat). November 1945 saw two records by the "Magnolia Five" (all four songs, led by Romaine Brown, had been recorded in September: "It Hurts Me, But I Like It", "Don't Come Cryin' To Me", "If You Can't Get Five, Take Two", and "Ouch!"). This was actually the Red Caps Trio (Steve Gibson, Romaine Brown, and Israel Crosby), augmented by musicians Walter "Foots" Thomas and Reginald Merrill (both sax and clarinet players). At that same session, they did the last Bon Bon and the Red Caps Trio recordings: "I Admit" and "Two Can Play That Game".

Search | Add | 5 | Kozmo Flex | Tariq Nasheed | Rapper/producer/author/documentary film producer from Los Angeles, CA. Tariq A. Nasheed (also known as "King Flex" or "K-Flex") was born on the west side of Detroit, Michigan on July 1st . He is an author, actor, and game counselor. He wrote the New York Times best seller The Art Of Mackin. Tariq moved from Detroit to Birmingham, Alabama in the early 1980s with his mother and grandmother. Due to slow pace and boredom of the social scene he saved money for an airplane ticket which cost $125 and decided to leave Birmingham for Los Angeles, California at age 17. A high school dropout, he was known as an infamous hustler and street legend in the Los Angeles area during the late 90's. It has been rumored that Nasheed was affiliated with the Los Angeles street gang the Crips. Tariq (then known as K-Flex or King Flex) became somewhat of a mediator between rival hustlers at that time. He created dating techniques that were a combination of what he learned from older hustlers and what he learned by reading psychology books. He called these techniques "G.I.C.2" (game, intelligence, and common sense; squared). Nasheed became what he calls a "game advisor," meaning he would teach these G.I.C.2 techniques to men and women on the underground scene. In 1999, Nasheed wrote a book based on his dating techniques called The Art Of Mackin, which has sold over 250,000 copies. The Art Of Mackin laid the foundation for the modern "seduction" industry. His followup book Play Or Be Played (Simon & Schuster) was catered towards women trying to learn "the game." In 2005, he released another book for men called The Mack Within (Penguin), and he appeared on TV shows such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with Conan O'Brian, as well as on MTV, VH1, and BET. Furthermore, Nasheed has a series of radio podcasts covering topics including dating, relationships, and social isssues. He now does sold out lectures and seminars around the country and he has recently released an instructional DVD called Mack Lessons. He has another book geared towards women that will be released in 2008 called The Art Of Golddigging. |

Nine (9) of the twelve (12) songs on the album were produced by Ruler Divine and the other three by Rockwilder of F5 Entertainment (Red and Meth, Janet Jackson). On December 5th of 2000, Universal Music Group released the CD single "Washed Out" (Produced by Rockwilder) b/w "Queens" (produced by Ruler Divine) by QSR which didn't do well to UMG's surprise considering how much promo had been done by the artists. January of 2001 the group had been given an ultimatum by the record label to stay on as shelved artists or leave the agreement with severance pay. QSR chose the latter.

Search | Add | 5 | Charles Skilton | Charles Sanford Skilton | (b. August 16, 1868 Northampton, Massachusetts – d. March 12, 1941 Lawrence, Kansas) was an American composer and professor of music. A leading member of the American "Indianist" movement, Skilton tried to create a "genuine", national American music by borrowing melodies and rhythms from Native American songs, in the same way that some Classical European composers let themselves be inspired by the traditional folk music of their own countries. Skilton received his Bachelor of Arts from Yale University in 1889. From 1891-1893, he studied music at the Hochschule für Musik in Berlin. Afterwards, he taught music at colleges in North Carolina and New Jersey, until moving to Kansas in 1903, where he served as Dean of the School of Fine Arts at the University of Kansas from 1903-1915 and continued to teach organ, theory and music history afterwards. In 1915, a Winnebago student, George LaMère a.k.a. Chief Ho-ton-ga, awakened Skilton's interest in Native American music. Based on traditional Native American melodies LaMère shared with him, Skilton composed "Two Indian Dances" for string quartet, two pieces called "Deer Dance" and "War Dance" that he later used as parts of his four-movement "Suite Primeval," and three "Indianist" operas. |

Search | Add | 5 | Tri O Five | Tri O Five is one of the most successful Bulgarian club bands. Their style can be described as funky, groovy beats. In 2005 fate brought Dessislav Ivanov, Ilyin Grivishki and Michael Fleming together. A month later, the first track of the successful trio is a fact. "Let's Start Over" was recorded in the home studio of DJ Ilko, but the next three songs -"Got The Groove", "Back To You" and "Travelling" were made in a professional recording studio. In 2007 the single „Let's Start Over” was released on CD with remixes of the same song by different DJ-s . The three musicians decided that for the promotion a bassist will be needed and that’s when Antony Rikev (WahTony) joined the band. Soon after that came their first international success . They released the song "No Where To Go" with U.S. label Blockhead Recordings. In the beginning of 2011 Tri O Five conquered stages and festivals such as Exit, Elevation, Spirit of Burgas, Apolonia, Dixi Jazz Festival and Sozopol Fest. At this time the band also included the drummer Nikolay Danev, who is part of the band today. At the end of the same year was released their long-awaited double debut album - "Travelling (Day Break / Night Out)". In January 2014 the group announced changes in its composition ! Tri O Five split with DJ Ilko and vocalist Michael Fleming , but Marten Roberto joined the band, and Preyah joined as a guest musician. With the new format , the band is: Preyah - Vocal Nikolay Danev - Drums DJ Marten - Programming Desislav Ivanov - Saxophone Antoni Rikev - Bass

Search | Add | 5 | Clifford Harper | Illustrator from London. Clifford Harper was born in 1949 in a working class neighbourhood of west London. After a desultory education, expelled from school at 14, with a two year probation sentence, he began a series of low paid jobs. As a teenager he was drawn to the ideals of anarchism and a growing involvement in the ferment of the 1960s led him in 1968 to ‘turn on, tune in and drop out’. Having first joined a commune deep in the Cumberland border country, in 1969 he was one of the founders of the famous Eel Pie Island commune, once described as “on the edge of anarchy”. In the 1970s he became further involved in anarchist activity and began to work as an illustrator, mainly for the radical movement, and this led gradually to ore mainstream work. Since the 1980s his work has appeared regularly in all the major newspapers in Britain and has become one of The Guardian's most popular illustrators. Heavily influenced by comic books, Eric Gill and the narrative woodcuts of Frans Masereel, Harper’s style evolved in the 1980s into a bolder, more expressionist direction, with much of his later artwork resembling wood or lino cuts, although in fact he still mainly works in pen and ink. Harper has long-term health issues and suffered a heart attack in 2006.
