Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 4 | Pola Chapell | Pola Chapelle | Pola Chapelle is known for her film work on Goodbye in the Mirror (1965) and Windflowers (1968) and was married to Adolfas Mekas. In the 60’s there was a growing interest in folk music from other countries. Prestige Records who had made its mark presenting some of the greats of the jazz world, decided to create a label dedicated to international folk music. Pola Chapelle was asked by Kenny Goldstein, a producer at Prestige International, to record an LP of folksongs that would be representative of all the provinces of Italy and in as many dialects. Rooted in her enthusiasm for the music and language of Italy, she accepted the opportunity to express in song some of the love she had for the people and the land. |

| Search | Add | 4 | Stoneshoes | Nigel Rhys Watson | Blending the soul of indie rock and folk with the pulse of dub, the swirl of psychedelia, and the warmth of acoustic textures, I create music that’s as much about feeling as it is about sound. Each track is an exploration—looking into the past, learning for the future, and capturing the raw emotion that lives in between. In a world of AI-produced music, I make mine as live and human as possible. If it can’t be played unplugged, it doesn’t belong in my world. Guitars, harmonicas, and live drums drift through layered compositions that feel intimate yet expansive, earthbound yet cosmic. Influenced by the spirit of Pink Floyd, the ambient journeys of The Orb, and the modern groove of Jungle, Stoneshoes invites you into a genre-blurring experience where sound becomes space, and emotion becomes a journey. First Light is a genre-blurring odyssey through transformation, resistance, inner peace, and deep gratitude. Stoneshoes weaves together rock, folk, reggae, and psychedelia into a rich, immersive sound—where acoustic warmth meets electric grit, and melody gives way to atmosphere. From the slow-burning rise of “Wildfire” to the meditative pulse of “Dawn Patrol”, and the urgent call of “Now Is the Time”, this debut invites listeners into a space of reflection and renewal. Layered with lush guitars—plucked, strummed, echoed, and distorted—each track unfolds like a chapter in a dream rooted in reality. First Light is both a personal offering and a universal message: a reminder to breathe, to feel, and to move forward with love. Roundhouse Records is home to original productions and remixes from my adventures as Stoneshoes, Chickenskin, and Curry Goat Sound. |

| Search | Add | 4 | Toyboat Toyboat Toyboat | toyboat toyboat toyboat | toyboat toyboat toyboat is a popular jazz–punk ensemble from Portland, OR, in the United States. The band's music is simultaneously heavy, danceable, and provocatively unusual. Reviewers have described it as “Sun Ra meets Devo,” “Miles meets Fugazi,” and “Afrobeat meets the Melvins.” Jonathan Boober's review for allmusic.com claimed “if Raymond Scott, Martin Denny and Bootsy Collins decided to form a band at Ennio Morricone’s house, it might sound something like toyboat toyboat toyboat.” Travis Henderson plays electric trumpet reminiscent of Bitches Brew-era Miles. The rare photoreactive synthesizer, The Drum Buddy, invented by New Orleans' Mr. Quintron, is symmetrically matched with drum set and electric bass. Despite befuddling journalists' efforts to categorize their aesthetic, the combo have enjoyed happy pairings onstage with national and international acts including Pere Ubu. Drummer Mehmet "Memo" Vurkaç earned his PhD in computational ethnomusicology and brings Brazilian rhythms and Turkish funk to an already eclectic melange of influences. He has performed on numerous occasions with Pink Martini and Jorge Alabê as well as one-offs with Obo Addy, Vi Hart, Michael Spiro/Mark Lamson, an early MarchFourth Marching Band, and Brazil’s Olodum, and live radio braodcasts with Mirah and Fishbone. Vurkaç appears on Mirah's 2009 album (a)spera (K Records) also featuring members of The Decemberists and The Haggard. The band have played over 90 shows across the West Coast in venues including Doug Fir, Mississippi Studios, Someday Lounge, Dante’s, Rotture, Ash St., Valentine's, Berbati's, White Eagle, and The Know in Portland, the Funhouse, Highline, and The Mix in Seattle, the Stork Club in Oakland, Hemlock in San Francisco, and a recurring showcase in the Idaho/Washington Valley. Their first EP, AMPLE FiRE, was released at various times on LEGO USB, CD, and 10-inch record. The band's second EP, COMPLICATED BODIES, was released March 2017 on CD. |

| Search | Add | 4 | William P. Young | William Paul Young | Young is the oldest of four, born May 11, 1955, in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada, but the majority of his first decade was lived with his missionary parents in the highlands of Netherlands New Guinea (West Papua), among the Dani, a central highlands people of western New Guinea. These became his family and as the first white child and outsider who ever spoke their language, he was granted unusual access into their culture and community. When he was six he was sent to a boarding school. Young originally wrote primarily as a way to create unique gifts for his friends, until his wife repeatedly urged him to write something for their six children in order to put down in one place his perspectives on God and on the inner healing Young had experienced as an adult. The resulting manuscript, which later became The Shack, was intended only for his six kids and for a handful of close friends. Young initially printed just 15 copies of his book. Two of his close friends encouraged him to have it published, and assisted with some editing and rewriting in order to prepare the manuscript for publication. After rejection by 26 publishers, Young and his friends published the book under the name of their newly created publishing company, Windblown Media, in 2007. The company spent only C$200 in advertising; word-of-mouth referrals eventually drove the book to number one on the New York Times trade paperback fiction best-seller list in June 2008. "The Shack" was the top-selling fiction and audio book of 2008 in America through November 30. Young's second book, Cross Roads, was published on November 13, 2012 by FaithWords. Young's Eve was released on September 15, 2015 by Howard Books. Young's latest book, Lies We Believe About God, released March 7, 2017. Like The Shack, it has been the subject of theological criticism. One critic, Tim Challies, says Young is a universalist, teaching that everyone is saved. |

| Search | Add | 4 | Spirit, Inc. | Spirit, Inc. was an ecumenical youth group organized in 1970 by Thomas A. Downs, a religious education coordinator for the Catholic Diocese of Davenport, Iowa. Although the group was inspired by the non-profit organization Up With People, Spirit, Inc. was Downs’ own invention. At the peak of its popularity in the early 1970s, Spirit, Inc. had between 70 and 80 members with a waiting list. The current membership is reported to be in the 20s. Founder Tom Downs began several similar groups, including a young Indiana-based vocal ensemble known as The We Together Singers, who released an album on the Staff record label around the same time Spirit, Inc. released their "Alive" LP on the same label. Several other offshoot groups were organized by people who borrowed Downs’ idea. Spirit, Inc. appears to be one of the few such groups which is still active. | |

She composes and sings folk songs for all circumstances (golden wedding, church, dance parties, etc.) and has a collection of more than 500 songs of her compositions. Note that all his songs are engraved in his head. One day, a certain Mr. Gagné from Laval University came to find her to get her songs from yesteryear in order to keep them in the archives. Without any papers, she recorded 159 songs for him. "It was a pleasure for me," she said. Then Radio-Canada came to meet her to interview her and sing her songs. There seemed to be a lot of interest in his rich talent. Soon after, an artist from the Bonanza company came to meet her and made her understand that she would end up losing everything if she continued not to want to sing on television. | Search | Add | 4 | Tulio Piva | Born in Santiago do Boqueirão (RS), on the border with Argentina, on December 4, 1915, Túlio Piva became known for his style of composing and playing the guitar. On February 11, 1993, samba gaucho said goodbye to one of its main representatives. Renowned for his unique guitar strumming, a talented composer and influenced by rhythms ranging from tango to samba, Túlio Piva marked the music of Rio Grande do Sul and of Brazil. The composer gained prominence for his pioneering spirit in composing sambas with a “gaucho accent”, with a poetic mix of his border influences, tango and Rio de Janeiro samba. A paradoxical artist: a gaucho descendant of Italians, who in his songs talked about life on the favela, tambourine and batucada. Author of songs recorded by renowned names such as Elis Regina, Elza Soares, Jair Rodrigues, Germano Mathias, Demônios da Garoa, Noite Ilustrada and Luiz Vieira, among Túlio's main works the following stand out: the sambas "Gente da Noite", known as the anthem of Porto Alegre's bohemia and the name of its famous nightclub, which operated for a decade (1980s) on Avenida João Pessoa. Porto Alegre/RS, "Pandeiro de Prata", the great winner of the II South-Brazilian Popular Song Festival (1968), and "Tem Que Ter Mulata", which received dozens of recordings and interpretations, including in Russia, the United States and Venezuela. Túlio Piva, alongside his fellow countryman Lupicínio Rodrigues, is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in popular music in Rio Grande do Sul of all time.

Three times he was invited to the famous Italian TV show “Domenica In…” which was immediately followed by more TV. Meanwhile the press has defined him as the “genius in Jerry Lee Lewis' wake” Matthew started touring the most famous Italian clubs, including The Place in Rome, Le Scimmie in Milan, Barfly in Ancona, Naima in Forlì. During summer 2005, he was invited to a number of important festivals, including San Severino Marche Blues Festival, which he opened in front of 1500 enthusiastic people, and the Summer Jamboree festival in Senigallia. In November 2006, Matthew Lee released his first album “[r=9458218]”, produced by the Italian group [a643509]. The album was also recorded in their studios. | Search | Add | 4 | Flottans Musikkår I Stockholm | Swedish military band, Flottans musikkår i Stockholm, in its final years Andra militärmusikkåren, operated in various forms between 1522 and 1971. As early as the founding of the Swedish Navy by the then-regent Gustaf Eriksson in 1522, a number of musicians were employed for music service within the navy. During the following centuries, the band operated at the Stockholm Naval Station in various forms until its activities temporarily ceased after the entire then-band was killed in the First Battle of Svensksund in 1789. Musical activities resumed again in 1802 and in 1814 the band was formed in modern form. The band then belonged to the Naval Artillery Company in Stockholm until 1833 when it was transferred to the newly formed Marine Regiment. After a few years, the band developed into the Navy Band in Stockholm, which, in a reorganization in 1909, received a modern instrumental ensemble of 45 men. The organization was kept more or less unchanged until the 1956 music organization with effect from 1 April 1957 when it became part of the Marine Music Corps and one of three bands in Stockholm. Further reorganization took place in 1961 when the name was changed to Andra militärmusikkåren, which then became part of Militärmusiken. Since there were only two military bands in Stockholm at the time, the band performed in the Army uniform and also contributed to the staffing of Första militärmusikkåren's mounted division. When the military band ceased in 1971, the band merged with Första militärmusikkåren and became Stockholmsmusiken within Statens regionmusik.

| Search | Add | 4 | The Swamp Salad | Dave Donovan began his career in NZ playing alongside Mike Perjanik in several popular local acts before moving to Sydney in the late 60's. As an in demand session guitarist during the 70's he played with the cream of Australia's entertainment world including John Farnham, Don Lane and Marty Rhone. He appeared on more than 200 albums and played on over 8000 commercial jingles. In 1971 he stepped out on his own cutting the album On The Country Line as Swamp Salad, putting together prolific sessionmen plus vocalist Christine Barnett. This may well have been intended as a country/rock cash-in, however, the final result was nothing of the kind. Covers of ‘Witchita Lineman’ and ‘Ode To Billy Joe’ fit the ‘country’ tag well enough, but much of the rest is bluesy underground rock jamming covered in fuzz guitar and owing a heavy debt to Jimi Hendrix. The album is known with two different covers: one with a black-and-white band photograph and the other with a much more attractive full-colour psychedelic painting. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Moleras | Moleras | Moleras - this is handmade alternative rock from Aachen, Germany. The duo consists of Moritz Bas and Lukas Wynands. They have known each other their whole life and have always made music together. In 2017 they started a band called “Nepomuk” in which they gained their first band and stage experiences. They also started to write their own music inspired by the stuff they love. In 2019 they decided to put their own songs together for a record. They recorded their debut album “obstacles” in the practice room of and with help from their friends Boon Goon. The album is about personal struggles and tries to provide a way out of them. It is supposed to show the listeners a way to deal with their personal obstacles. Considering their release, they changed their name to “Moleras” and decided to start over again. The duo performs with a pretty unusual line up: guitar, synthesizer, bass, vocals, percussion and a ukulele. In order to gain a full band sound, they use loopers and a bunch of effect pedals. With those instruments they are able to create a unique sound and their performances become extraordinary. The friends are excited about their first release and can’t wait to get on the road to bring their music to the people! “When the breakdown is getting nearer, try to start anew and always remember: your only obstacle is you!” |
