Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | The Regal Line | The Regal Line is a drummerless trio hailing from Southern California. Taking the sounds of Country pioneers such as Jimmie Rodgers, combining them with the Sun Records sound of Johnny Cash in the mid 50's, and adding a unique style of their own, The Regal Line strives to bring back a sound not heard since that era. The Regal Line plays Gospel music from a time when Gospel WAS country and it was simple yet powerful. With [a=Jason Moody]'s baritone Johnny Cash style vocals and rhythm guitar, Barry Cavener's complimentary harmonies and Luther Perkins style flat picking, and Bobby Cavener's Bill Black style slap bass, The Regal Line brings the listener a truly authentic sound reminiscent of days long gone.

Search | Add | 4 | Ola Fresca | Weaving the musical bridges connecting salsa, Cuban son, timba, and funk, Ola Fresca, in it’s first 10 years and two world acclaimed, award winning, original albums under the direction and creative energy of Jose Conde, has evolved a swinging, fearless tropical Latin sound directly from Brooklyn, New York. From their rustic Cuban roots tinged 2004 debut Ay! Que Rico, to the funky, eclectic Best Latin Album in the 2008 Independent Music Awards, (R)Evolucion, the band meandered through a spectrum of Latin roots styles and instrumental formats and fused liberally, all while making music that was praised by many such as the NY TIMES for having an “emphasis on songs with characters, wordplay and mild social ideas…good for dancing and thinking!” The format of the band morphed from large “conjunto” ensemble to small combos featuring percussion, brass, saxes and flutes and sometimes Cuban tres, and then mixing in electric guitar, B-3 organ and even the funky drums of the Meters’ legend Ziggy Modeliste. In 2014 Ola Fresca settled as a trombone driven, power salsa octet. Featuring the sharp Latin dance focused new sound of the band on poignant, new songs about immigration, identity, drumming, and more by Conde and other NY based Latin music writers and collaborators, their new album “ELIXIR” has been funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign, and is in production and set for release in the Spring of 2015, with a limited edition vinyl press by Peace & Rhythm that followed to release Sept 2015. Since 2004 Ola Fresca has performed throughout the US, Canada, Mexico and parts of Latin America. Songs from the first two Ola Fresca albums have been featured in numerous widely released albums, films and TV programs including features on Putumayo and Rough Guide world music compilations to sync licenses on HBO and British Television programs. The band has been featured on NPR and BBC, Marco Werman’s the World and more. Notable venues that have featured Ola Fresca include Chicago World Music Festival, Montreal Jazz Festival, NY Central Park Summerstage, Bocafest in Veracruz Mexico, Green Apple Festival Miami, Santa Monica Twilight Dance Series, Kennedy Center DC, NY Global Rhythm Festival, New Orleans Voodoo Festival etc.

Search | Add | 4 | Cattywompus | Cattywompus | Cattywompus is an American rock band formed in 2001 in Los Angeles, California. Cattywompus is Jonathan Lennartz lead singer/rhythm guitar, Aaron Bateman lead guitar, James Webber bass/vocals and John Webber on drums. Cattywompus released its first EP entitled, “Backwards Evolution,” a five-track album. Around this time they added Kevin Webber, John and James’ father, on percussion adding a deeper dimension to the music. The songs were recorded at Hot Pie Studios in Pasadena, California. The tracks were recorded analog by the Webber’s cousin and studio co-founder Paul Gagliaradi in a whirlwind 2 days of sessions. The band held a CD release party in North Hollywood at a favorite local venue that was overpacked and ultimately shut down by the local fire marshal. Around this time they began venturing out playing shows further out in San Diego and Tempe, Arizona. Cattywompus followed up “Backwards Evolution” with the release of the “Wildfire,” in 2005. This EP was again independently produced and basic drum tracks recorded analog at Hot Pie Studio, but this time it received assistance from Los Angeles audio producer, Kent Hitchcock. The band had these tracks digitally converted to Pro Tools. After acquiring an abandoned Santa Monica recording studio for a few months and purchasing a Pro Tools console, the band took over producing the songs. This six-song EP garnered much attention and acclaim in the indie community and received reviews comparing the band to The Black Crowes and two of its major influences, The Rolling Stones and Neil Young. Critics noted the signature “tight rhythm section” of the band and the appeal to fans of both classic rock and modern acoustic rock. (rocknworld.com and allaccessmagazine.com) They began playing at larger venues in Hollywood including The Roxy, Key Club, Viper Room and The House of Blues. In October of 2005, Cattywompus embarked on its first tour. Within one month, the band played to fans at shows and live radio performances in nine different states—from California to Florida and back. The tour greatly increased the band’s fan base and led to radio play on college radio stations and attention on the internet. Sadly the excitement from the success of the tour was short lived. Not long after Cattywompus arrived home, Kevin Webber passed away from cancer. During this time of profound loss, a rush of writing took place. To honor Kevin’s love for music, the band got together with these new songs and brought in the guidance of Britt Phillip to return to the recording studio in early 2006. Britt had been a bandmate of Kevin’s in the 70’s and 80’s who had lost contact over the years. James reached out to him after finding his name on several hand written cassette tapes in Kevin’s collection. Soon after, Britt invited the band to record in his newly built home recording studio. Within a month they had a full length record, raw and ready to mix. “Gospel Hymns and Original Sins,” the first full-length release from the band, was released in early 2007. The LP was once again self-produced, but this time Cattywompus got some help. In addition to producer Britt Phillips work, Thom Flowers mixed the tracks in Santa Barbara and Evren Goknar mastered the album at Capitol Records in Hollywood. Reviews of the album observe the emotional charge behind the album as a result of Kevin’s passing but highlight the catchiness of the tunes and well composed harmonies which arouse a sense of nostalgia. (getunderground.com) After a sold out record release party at The Roxy in Hollywood, the band embarked on a short tour opening for Reckless Kelly up the California coast through Santa Cruz and San Francisco. In 2007 Cattywompus moved to Austin, Texas. During 2007 and 2008 the band played up and down Texas hitting as many iconic theaters, honky tonks and haunts as they could find. They played notable shows at Antone’s & Momo’s in Downtown Austin and as the opener for JJ Grey & Mofro at the Granada Theater in Dallas. During this time the band started recording a new song they had been closing shows with, New Wave Outlaw Politic, at The Recording Conservatory of Austin. For the first time, there was a slow down as the band had began new lives in a new city. This was also a time where they embarked on new personal adventures and decided to take a break after 7 years of writing, rehearsing, recording and hundreds of live performances. New Wave Outlaw Politic sat quietly, locked away, unfinished and unheard. Until now. Now the New Wave Outlaw Politic is out now! Find it and any of the other Albums and EPs on all your favorite streaming and digital services. |

Search | Add | 4 | Hiding Inside Victims | HIDINGINSIDEVICTIMS | Hiding Inside Victims was a Crust/Hardcore Punk band from the Los Angeles/Ventura County California area. The band began late 2008 with home recordings and jam sessions with Joaquin (vocals/drums) and Joe (vocals/guitar). Both previously had been singers in separate disbanded street punk bands, Initial Distrust and U.S.Brats. In 2009 the band played their first show at the Infest Warehouse in Los Angeles. After a series of shows in the Southern California area the band decided to look for a bassist and took Mike (BlisterUnit/Want but Mari) vocalist and guitarist for the spot. After set of shows Mike had a mutual parting from the band for his other career and musical endeavors. The band began again to search for another bassist and this time a second guitarist and found guitarist Chris (Schismism, The Last Priority) and bassist Ryan "Ratboy" (Throat Cancer). Founding member Joe left the band in 2011. The band completed their first Western U.S. tour with Dutch punk band Suicide State in May 2011 coinciding with a split release by the two bands which was released in the U.S. and Europe. |

Search | Add | 4 | Mordum Terrorist | "Ever felt at peace with the clanging sound throbbing against your head? The music fades away to senseless, monotonous pandemonium. You risk going deaf, but you only live this life once despite having just a single pair of ears. You decide to allow a few more minutes of this mayhem and then you decide to surrender. Inspiration suddenly seems more important than preserving sanctity or sanity. Rationalization flies into dead oblivion as you are born again; in the same body, but with a different mind. They called rock 'the music of the devil', little realizing that all humans are inherently Satanic as they are divine. The same people that loved wars, manipulation and all that jazz! Maybe they were right; but in being right they neglected their deep yearning for chaos. The kind that appears to be premeditated and synchronized and is still beyond control. The love for chaos is a necessity. Without chaos, we tend to undermine the need for its less-conceited better half - peace. Yet chaos remains the evil twin, the neglected sheep(I have issues with the term 'black sheep'), like Cain, the cursed one. Again, Cain existed so that Able would be favoured. I don't love chaos. I merely respect it."
