Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Asmodeous | Asmodeous is an old school Death Metal band from Chicago, Illinois. The band was originally conceived under the name Cessation in 1993 and settled upon the name Asmodeous in 1994. All having an interest in extreme, fast, heavy music, founding members Kevin Schenk, Manny Canchola, Steve McDowell, and Joe Fraser met while attending the same high school. The spelling of the name Asmodeous is a slight variation from the original spelling Asmodeus, a leader of demons from the Book of Tobit. Kevin insisted on changing the spelling of the name to distinguish the band from past literature and other groups already named Asmodeus. Tyrant of the Land features guest guitarist Jon Heaton, playing second guitar and some solo work on the EP. In 2001, the Chicagoland Death Metal scene suffered a very tragic loss by the passing of vocalist Kevin Schenk, who was also playing Bass Guitar for band In Pieces. In Pieces later changed their name to Dead For Days. Manny Canchola assumed Kevin's position on Bass Guitar in Dead For Days after Kevin's passing, to carry on Kevin's work and legacy. Search | Add | 4 | Michael Cullen Murphy | Michael Cullen Murphy | Singer Songwriter, living in the U.K. Born, U.S.A. 1967. He grew up in Nashville Tennessee and Centreville Alabama in the U.S.A. Moving to the U.K. in the late 1970s. In 2021 Nick Saloman of the Bevis Frond who was ceasing to release on his Woznorow record label and starting a new label, Blue Matter, heard songs originally intended for a self release; he asked to release the Lp on Record and Cd as 'All Change At The 5 and Dime'. His style is hard to pin down, but seems to be a combination of Country influences, Gothic Americana, touches of Folk and Folk Psych and with personal experience often at the centre of many of the songs. Songs which fit into the tradition of the Singer Songwriter. His lyrics are often concerned with the passage of time, love and family and utilise the imagery of the natural world to express these themes. His sound has been likened to Calexico, Iron and Wine, Bruce Cockburn, Nick Drake and Tim Buckley. He says he's been influenced variously by, Roy Harper, Nick Drake, Steve Young, Ashra Temple, Gong, George Jones, Townes Van Zandt, The Velvet Underground, Pentangle, Fairport Convention, The Handsome Family, The Trees, Anne Briggs, Bridget St. John, Earth Opera, John Martyn, Sandy Denny and The incredible String Band. |

Search | Add | 4 | South Side Posse | Legendary underground gangsta rap group from the southside of Kansas City, MO made up of Mon-E-G, Felony 6, D-Man (R.I.P.), Badger Kaine & several other rappers who were all members of a neighborhood crip set. Their debut album, which was released in 1995, is entitled "Ghetto Soldiers". It's a local classic. A must have if you like that mid-90's indie gangsta rap. South Side Posse returned in 2000 with "Anticipation Of Death". This album is dedicated to the late D-Man. It's another banger, featuring Brotha Lynch Hung & Loki from Sac-Town and E-Skool & Dun Deala from the Veteran Click. A third album, thought be called "Friends", was recorded in the early 2000's but it never came out... Of the members, only Mon-E-G pursued a noticeable solo career, releasing several albums & collaborating with Freeway on many occasions.

Search | Add | 4 | Tico Zamora | American guitarist, songwriter and producer, born in 1967 in Washington D.C., USA. Real name: Torcuato Zamora. Tico Zamora began playing guitar at an early age. Starting at the age of eight, he received daily guitar lessons from his father, Torcuato Zamora, Sr., an accomplished flamenco guitarist from Almeria, Spain. After five years of apprenticeship with his father, at age 13, the young Zamora bought his first electric guitar, a Fender Stratocaster. Zamora was greatly influenced by his older sister's record collection, which included bands such as Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles and Aerosmith. Through countless hours of playing along with and emulating what he heard on those seminal records, he discovered his passion for the electric guitar. Too young to play in nightclubs, his first performance was at a Battle of the Bands in a local Washington, D.C. area game room where he won the competition. Shortly thereafter, he was asked to join H.R. ("Human Rights"), fronted by Paul Hudson, lead singer of the influential hardcore punk band Bad Brains. This was 16-year-old Zamora's introduction to the world of punk rock. After touring and recording in the studio with H.R. for two years, H.R.'s former band, Bad Brains, went back into the studio with its original band members and released a new album, I Against I. In 1987, Zamora moved to Athens, Georgia to start a new band, Gypsy Cab Company, and immerse himself in the thriving alternative rock and new wave music scene. Two years later, Maureen Tucker, drummer for The Velvet Underground, asked Zamora to play guitar with her in the opening act for Lou Reed on his New York tour across the U.S. and Canada. In 1990, Zamora played guitar in Mo Tucker's band and toured throughout many cities in Europe, including Berlin, Germany, where Zamora lived from 1991 to 2009. In Berlin, Zamora set up a recording studio and played with and produced many bands, some of which were part of the exploding electropop/electroclash music scene occurring in Berlin in the early 2000s.

Search | Add | 4 | Alinep | Ali Nepomuceno | ALINEP (Ali Nepomuceno) Born and raised in Manila, Alinep comes from a family where music played a vital part of everyday life, Alinep was put into music classes at an early age. From collecting tapes of jazz bands, collecting vinyl records and attending DJ events, Alinep started off being a fan towards the path of becoming a DJ. He started playing at small bars and lounges and soon was given the opportunity to play different clubs. In the long run, his music paid off and earn club residencies - currently now rep presents a club called Time in Manila. Alinep has shared the decks alongside Darren Emerson, Nick Warren, Yousef, Slam, Dave Seaman, Anil Chawla, Luke Fair, Jimmy Van M, Josh Wink, Umek, Joy Kitikonti, Timo Garcia, Nelski, Frank Mueller, Quivver, Xhin, Secret Cinema, Ramon Tapia, James Zabiela, Guti, Dirt Crew, KiNK, Satoshi Fumi, Alex Flatner, Martin Eyerer. Aside from gigging in his hometown, he plays around Asia - the World DJ Festival in South Korea and featured parties in Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and China. His tracks has been featured in different shows like "Outerspace" in Proton Radio by Satoshi Fumi, "Deep & Deeper" in Tunnel FM and "HEY! Muzik' by Michel De Hey. His music for Blacksoul also hit WMC Miami. Alinep's musical imprint in his dj sets and music production are very poetic and is rooted from deep house to techno, minimal to techhouse, Detroit to Chicago and the beat goes on and on defining his own club space. Aside from music production and djing, Alinep founded Manila Underground with Martin Lugtu and Pav Parrotte - a collective of local djs/producers/promoters and foreign-locals who love and live for non-commercial electronic music. More to his music vision, Alinep manages Asia Music, an independent record label based in Kuala Lumpur & Manila. Alinep is Asia's very own and one of Asia's respected underground DJs and music producers to date. His passion for his music work and his unique style of music blend has earned him recognition in the underground music community globally. Alinep is one of the newest artists of MakTub Music - a label run by Arjun Vagale and Logiztik Sounds. Recently his release entitled "Meet the Sponks" got massive support from the likes of Nick Muir and Richie Hawtin who played it Sonar Off Barcelona and ENTER at Space, Ibiza. Alinep's recent release under Tenampa Recordings entitled “Carriedo” and his EP for Berlin label, Tanztone Records are both well supported by common names like Michel De Hey, Ellen Allien, Chris Fortier, Owain K and many more. Aside from his upcoming releases, Alinep’s radio show, Manila Underground will be Monday monthly at UB Radio. More of Alinep in 2014, his track "Deepsomnia" originally from Funkfield Recordings then re-released by Love International is a BIG hit this summer. For 8 weeks, it was in heavy play by Richie Hawtin and also charted - reached and heard in Hungary's Balaton Sound Festival, Minus Showcase in Fabric London, TomorrowWorld in the USA and of course at ENTER at Space, Ibiza. |
