Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Chasen Project | CHASEN Project originally started in early 1986 as the band CHASEN when Vocalist/Guitarist Mark Chasen and Lead Guitarist Jimmy Maropoulos decided to start a new project after both had spent time in the popular Philly/South Jersey band Whitefoxx. Chasen, a founding member of Whitefoxx, decided to form a writing team with Maropoulos. Chasen and Maropoulos had always worked very well together. Jeff LaBar had originally recommended Maropoulos to Whitefoxx after LaBar left Whitefoxx to join Cinderella. With bassist Donie Bufalo and drummer Jimmy “Feek” Ferraioli as part of the original lineup, Chasen, Maropoulos, Bufalo & Ferraioli went on to form the band CHASEN. Bobby Buerklin played keyboards for the band and sang backup vocals. The band is now known as CHASEN Project because a Christian rock group named Chasen is already signed to a record label. Mark Chasen studied Classical and Opera voice at Bryn Mawr Conservatory of Music in PA and also voice strengthening with Elizabeth Sabine in LA. Mark also studied guitar with teachers Chuck Anderson and Doug Marks. His Uncle Albert Harris Directed a play called “Stardust” which hit Broadway in 1990. His grandfather Charlie Chasen played guitar in a trio called Three Shades of Rhythm with Buddy Greco in 1945. The band CHASEN headlined shows in Philly at the Empire Rock Room and in South Jersey at The Galaxy for a while among other gigs, then later in 1986, Chasen and Maropoulos left for Los Angeles CA to work on getting a record deal. Through close friend Dan Hicks, auditions were held at MI for Bass players and Drummers. This is when the LA version of CHASEN formed with Chasen, Maropoulos, and new members, Bassist Tim Miller and Drummer Mike Brahm. Chasen’s father, Len Chasen was a former musician and began to manage the band and really did well for the band. Chasen headlined Gazzari’s night club on Sunset Strip, The Troubadour in West Hollywood, Madame Wongs in LA and they also played a show at the famous Roxy Theatre. They were photographed by Robert John (GNR) for their press kit. The band ran into legendary producer Kim Fowley (The Runaways). Fowley took an interest in the band and they spent months with Fowley in rehearsals and in Paramount Recording studios in Hollywood cutting a 3 song demo. Fowley produced the 3 songs; Gene Meros former Engineer on a few Van Halen albums engineered the tracks. Fowley was present at gigs and the band was doing well in LA/Hollywood. The band then went into the studio with Producer Neil Citron to cut 2 more songs. All 5 songs (Fowley and Citron produced) can be heard on this CD along with another 5 powerful songs. Also at that time Tom Keifer (Cinderella) was in LA and recommended an entertainment attorney to the band. In late 1987 Chasen and Maropoulos decided to go back to Philadelphia and re-form CHASEN back with Bufalo on Bass and added new drummer George Snyder. CHASEN then ended up in the studio in Saratoga Springs New York, got interviewed on a TV station in Albany NY and played a record company showcase in New York City. With Chasen, Maropoulos, Bufalo and Snyder, CHASEN played shows for another year and then the members of CHASEN went off to do other musical projects. This CD is dedicated to the memory of drummer Jimmy “Feek” Ferraioli. CHASEN is: Mark Chasen – Vocals/Guitar Jimmy Maropoulos – Lead Guitar Donie Bufalo – Bass Jimmy “Feek” Ferraioli (R.I.P.) – Drums | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Divin O | French Industrial rock band lead by Franck Stoll. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Torgny Sjöstedt | Torgny Nils Axel Sjöstedt | Swedish musician and author, born June 19, 1952 in Örgryte. In 1968, the group Love Explosion was formed with Sjöstedt on guitar and violin. The group also included Dennis Huntington as a singer and songwriter. Love Explosion performed three years in a row at the annual Gärdetfesterna in Stockholm. The band belonged to the play-yourself movement; no training was required to play. In 1971, the record label MNW released Bästa låtar med Love Explosion. The album was praised by the Radio Board and has been listed as a classic in Swedish prog culture in Jan Gradvall's book Tusen svenska klassiker. In the early 1980s, Sjöstedt and Huntington were responsible for the music for the Atelierteatern's production of Maratondansen with, among others, Babben Larsson and Claes Malmberg. In 1982, Sjöstedt was the frontman of the group Togges gossar; among the group's members were Ulf Dageby and guitarist Göran Berg. During the 2000s, Sjöstedt was active in the group Togges Band and collaborated with, among others, Torkel Rasmusson from Blå Tåget. In 2011, the publishing house MBM published Sjöstedt's book Vi hade rätt hela tiden. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Jack Briece | Jack Briece’s name has been, up until this point, barely a footnote in the story of 20th century avant garde and experimental music. Briece, not being one for self promotion, was more content to work on his music in private. His only release, 1984’s “Heterophonious Fool,” was self-produced in an edition of 50 cassettes and was never publicly distributed. Owing to a deep obsession with all things relating to astronomy and the esoteric, Briece composed “Heterophonious Fool” as a suite in five parts, it’s meter and melody determined by his readings of the I Ching. Despite these somewhat lofty inspirations, Briece instilled these pieces with a sense of playfulness, composing the suite for four overdubbed tracks of the same cheap Casio keyboard, with phased rhythm tracks and catchy, looping minimal melodies floating around the stereo field. One easily gets the sense of a joyfully creative mind at work. Briece sadly died of AIDS related complications in 1988, leaving behind very little evidence of his time as a composer. A somewhat nomadic artist during his life, he was the definition of a “free spirit,” so much so that he declined treatment for his illness, deciding instead to allow it to run its course. | |

Having been featured on Triple R, UNIFY, JJJ Unearthed, Brewtality and your neighbours basement, the band takes sonic inspiration from groups such as Jesus Lizard, Northlane and Fugazi. With each live show rowdier than the last; their unique brand of hardcore punk and heavy alternative rock is tailor made to erupt chaos in the audience.

| Search | Add | 2 | ScarLenn | Lenny Benaïcha | ScarLenn was born in 1986 in a corner of the province of Antwerp. At a young age he moved into the metropolis, which until today he calls home. As a twelve year old boy he was tempted for the first time by the rap rhythms but it took another four years before he truly realized Hip-Hop was about to become more than just his favourite music genre. In 2002 he found his way to the microphone, choosing an artist name for himself consisting of the English word for: 'scar' and his first name. The scar is situated on his right eye and defined a big part of the young man's life. The foster child, who found his real home with his foster parents, received a part Algerian blood and surname from his biological mother, from which he distances himself completely. Because of the name, the looks and everything else scarlenn stands for he was forced to get to know the less pretty sides of our society at a young age. The critical insight he developed as a result of that in combination with a unique vocal usage are typical for his style. |

Cream Idol is a crew of artists tired with the lack of creativity in general, everything you see: hit songs, TV shows and movies seem to be a remakes of something you have already seen.
