Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Shrink Trip | Shrink Trip was formed at Drew University in Madison, NJ, circa 1989, originally by drummer Bob Joyal, guitarist Andrew Hurford and guitarist/vocalist Marc Beschler. Taking their cue from a variety of musical sources, most predominantly Camper Van Beethoven and the Butthole Surfers, with occasional forays into Bad Religion-style hardcore, Shrink Trip wanted to play a kind of psychedelic punk rock that would appeal to their mixed crowd of friends, which included punks, hippies, and plenty of in-betweens, as well as reflect their interest in, shall we say, alternate states of mind. The original line-up was filled out by Nick Boyle on bass. In 1990, Boyle was replaced by Mike Thomas, who added a funky dimension with his bass work reminiscent of Fishbone and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. This line-up recorded the 'Puce-Colored Glasses' demo. For a while, they enjoyed being part of a mini-scene concentrated at Drew University, with several different on-campus bands playing joint shows at the university's coffee house The Other End and at outdoor seasonal events. Thomas subsequently left and was replaced by Jeff DeSmedt, a veteran of the multi-faceted band [a=Roadside Myth]. Not long after this, Beschler switched to concentrating purely on vocals, with Peter Bonnell of fellow Drew band Skeevy Jeets joining as the second guitarist. This quintet recorded the 'All-Purpose Creamy Head' demo, which included the song 'Curse,' a track composed by all five members that reflected their then-intense love for Fugazi. Founding member Hurford left the band a while later, to be replaced by Jason Johnson on guitar. This line-up recorded the 1993 'The 'O' Single' for Oculus records, with Bonnell deciding that it would be his last effort with the band. A while after this, another founding member, Joyal, also went on to other things and was replaced by long-time friend of the band Django Phillips, who had also done the graphic design for 'The 'O' Single.' This line-up of Beschler (vocals/guitar), DeSmedt (bass), Johnson (guitar) and Phillips (drums) played gigs in New York and New Jersey for a time before ultimately going their separate ways. DeSmedt went back to working on Roadside Myth, recording a full-length CD album, 'Surreal Woman and Other Songs', in 1995 that included appearances by Johnson, Joyal, Phillips and Beschler. Johnson went on to spearhead the jazz rock project Fern Hill and, more recently, Last Native, and Beschler and Phillips joined up with Jennifer Werner and Dominick Nervi to form the mid-'90s stoner-punk-metal outfit [a=Nancy Sumatra] (originally called Guttersnipe). | |

| Search | Add | 3 | El Gordo's Revenge | El Gordo's Revenge was a suburban St. Louis band formed by two 15 year-olds when they realized playing Ramones songs was a lot easier than trying to play Iron Maiden songs. An early proto-EGR featured four students from Parkway Central High School in Chesterfield, Missouri. This lineup formed when acne-ridden Kevin Schneider and corpulent Matt Picker noticed Black Flag stickers on a nearby locker. They soon recruited the inhabitants of said locker despite the fact that neither Mike Virag, who looked 30 when he was 16, nor Adrian Martinez, a Mexican Jew, had ever played drums or bass. After winning their high school's battle of the bands (but getting disqualified for cursing and breaking a microphone) and playing something called "the Psycho Pera", Adrian and Mike moved to Seattle. (at some point the band briefly played with drummer Aristotle Kumpis or Tallis for short. His name was immediately bastardized to Aris Twat-hole or Phallus for short. He left to play in a Nirvana cover band) Kevin and Matt soon found replacements in bassist Nate Pionke, who was fat, and drummer Collin Smith, who was as black. This lineup saw the band play its first "real" shows and a select few consider it superior to later versions largely due to the zany antics of Collin Smith, who enjoyed telling racially-charged jokes that belied his African-American heritage. Collin also had a penchant for leaving his drum kit at the end of the show and strutting around in nothing but rhinestone boots, a sequined black cape and a blonde wig. Eventually Mike Virag moved back from Seattle after his girlfriend cheated on him with Larry from The Degenerats (who, ironically, EGR later played with in Kansas City) and began playing in the band once again - this time on guitar, which he's better at than bass. For some reason Nate and Collin quit or were kicked out or something. Matt Picker switched from guitar to drums and young Matt Wicks, another Parkway Central student and pals with Matt's little brother, joined on bass. This is the most well-known lineup of the group and showcases their growing musical talent as well as their increasingly esoteric and arbitrary songwriting style. The band's unique blend of classic punk and hardcore, hard rock, early rock 'n' roll, heavy metal and utter nonsense made them one of the top St. Louis bands of the mid-to-late 90s. During their three year reign of terror, they put out 3 cassette only albums, a 10" LP and a few compilation tracks. The band also played with some of the top national acts of the day, including the Promise Ring, Subhumans, the Donnas, Groovie Ghoulies, Mr. T. Experience, the Loudmouths, Very Metal, Acid Flesh, Zvook, and even played Cottleville hardcore fest '97 and Warped Tour '98 - where they were offered a record deal on Lookout! EGR broke up in 1998 in part because their bass player began listening to far too much hip-hop, but mostly because the band as a whole was sick of playing crappy songs about tacos and Bronson Pinchot at breakneck speed. | |

The band formed in 1981 and released this one very scarce single (originally housed in a stamped sleeve) in 1983. The A side "Cathy Come Home" is a great pop song while the B side, "All Smashed Up", is more appealing to NWOBHM collector types. The band eventually grew to a five piece adding Mike Ward on bass, Terry (TNT) Thomas on drums and Robert Millar on guitar. After several failed attempts to break it big in London they split in 1984. Phil Jones subsequently formed the band [a2051223]. In 2013, Mark and Phil began working together on new and original Chartered Hurricane songs with the potential of an eventual album release and performed live again on December 13th, 2014. The album 'Touch The Rocks' was released on 24 April 2021. Founding member [a3615255] died on 27th January 2019 (aged 59) and [a2051222] on 19th August 2020, shortly after completing his recordings for the album. | |
