Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Stripmall | Stripmall create a dynamic Western-influenced prairie punk that is as delicate as it is aggressive. Reminiscent of a row of shops somewhere between almost and never quite. In the last miles of plastic backlit signage, never where you're meant to be, but a place you'll never forget. Stripmall evokes the place where frustration and hope exist. True Alberta contrast where the West meets the concrete. | |

And on "As Illusions Start To Fade" they show that this is not necessary at all. Because their new album convinces with varied songs driven by different emotions with an unmistakable and independent signature to each song.

| Search | Add | 3 | Steve Kovacev | Steve Kovacev | Mr. Kovacev has spent a lifetime with the Tambura ... over 50 years. In the middle 1930's, Steve Kovacev performed with the Marsovian Troubadors, a semi-professional group of musicians centered in Kenosda, Wisconsin, and led by Mr. Stanley Jambrek. Later he also performed wtih the famed Elias Serenaders, a group that toured the United States from one end to the other on the vaudeville circuit. After the War years, Steve joined the Duquesne University Tamburitzans as both tambura player and dancer in 1947. As a tambura player, he played every one of the tambura instruments at one time or another. One year he even played the little-known instrument, the 'celo-berde'. In 1952, Mr. Kovacev became the Assistant Director of the Duquesne University Tamburitzans. From that time to the present, he has arranged music for the tambura. A short time later he became the Treasurer of the Tamburitzan organization. In 1954, along with Walter W. Kolar, he helped to establish the Duquesne University Tamburitzans School of Music, a movement which has spread all across the U.S. with groups known as the 'Junior Tamburitzans'. He was chosen to be the Director of the annual Tamburitza Federation Festival in 1974. That same year he began to produce a long list of Duquesne University Tamburitzans long-play phonograph recordings, about 40 in all. With the Tamburitzans, Steve Kovacev has traveled to every state in the U.S. and 35 countries around the world, always spreading the word about the tambura. Working closely with Walter W. Kolar, Mr. Kovacev has created the Tamburitzan Cultural Center in Pittsburgh and has helped plan the new Tamburitzan National Folk Arts Center concept. In 1970, Mr. Kovacev helped to establish DUTIFA, the Duquesne University Tamburitzans Institute of Folk Arts within which he has been teaching the Tambura, on a university level and for academic credit, for the past 14 years. He is the only person in the United States to teach the tambura this long for academic credit and he is still actively teaching at Duquesne University. Mr. Kovacev is presently an Assistant Professor at Duquesne University and continues to lend guidance to his first love - the Duquesne University Tamburitzans. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Jeff Blakely | Jeff Blakely | Hailing from the dark and dank streets of Detroit comes the often mentioned yet rarely seen, Detroit electronic music producer The Madd Roller AKA Dr. JiFFY. In the Roller’s early years he began experimenting with electronic music in a rare MOD format. The songs were heard by members of the underground industry and Dr. JiFFY was spawned. Years later he became the Vice President of the well-known and highly respected Detroit label, Electrofunk Records. Electrofunk Records was at its peek in ‘97 when The Madd Roller, then dubbed Dr. JiFFY, joined the forces of Mr. De’ and DJ Assault. It wasn’t until now that the often mentioned, rarely seen, Madd Roller has decided to rise into the lights. In a recent tour in The UK, during the EF Live tour, The Madd Roller stomped the crowed with immense beats and rhythms. Shortly after the UK tour The Madd Roller went into the studio with other great Detroit artists such as DJ Godfather and Mr. De’ to produce some deeply laced tracks to be released in succession throughout 2004. |

The idea of forming such a group first germinated in the brains of Richard Paquet and Michel Bessette, two long-time friends, who set out to find two other members. In December 1972, Carole Miville was introduced to them and "it clicked right away". A few days later, it is Richard Fortin who "embarks". After fierce rehearsals, they gave their first show in January 1973.

| Search | Add | 3 | Wired Masses | Wired Masses was a Detroit based rock band from 1992-2002. Wired Masses was formed in 1992 as an all original rock project. Combining the sounds from classic rock, blues, funk and pop, each song is a heartfelt force of its own, and was an example of the group's growth and inspiration. In the era of "metal hip-hop" and over-commercialized R&B, Wired Masses went their own direction. They brought back the showmanship that rock once purveyed. Wired Masses has released four albums of all original material. The first was a four song e.p. released in 1992. The second, an eclectic variation, was a full-length album titled "Buy Some Soul" (1994). The third, "Automatic Human Jukebox" (1996), was the first to actually capture the band's true essence. The fourth self titled release (2000) was a realization of the band's musical intentions. That plan was to tear down the wall between Rock and Soul. Each album showed the skill and growth of the band. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Esther Ford | Rev. Lady Esther Ford Carroll | Lady Esther Ford was a nationally renowned gospel singer, minister, tambourine player, playwright, and producer. Born December 30,1930 her musical career began at the early age of five. She was billed as the “Child Wonder Gospel Singer.” Ford sang with The Famous [a= Ward Singers], [a= The Stars Of Faith], and many other famous gospel singers. Around 1958, Ford, [a= Kitty Parham], [a= Marion Williams], [a= Frances Steadman], and [a= Henrietta Waddy] resigned from the [a= Ward Singers] to form [a= The Stars Of Faith]. Ford was also the group’s first manager and driver, and [a= Kitty Parham] helped secure the bookings, since she had kept the names of all the Ward sponsors and promoters written in a notebook. Ford was the first in many things including member of the first African American group ([a=The Stars Of Faith])to sing before the Pope at the Vatican, Carnegie Hall, and Radio City Music Hall. Pope Paul IV stated that he was so spiritually moved by Lady Esther’s rendition of “Come Ye Disconsolate”. In 1964, she also founded and recorded the first Interracial Gospel Group [a= The Exodus Singers]. The newly formed integrated female group recorded an album in the United States on the Savoy Records. Ford also recorded her first solo album, “Profiles of a Great Lady,” which was on the Nashboro Label. Nalgun momento, Mancini; a seguir, Man or Astroman?.

| Search | Add | 3 | Dee Dee Sea | Travis Sehorn | Dee Dee Sea crept from the bedroom to the underground scene of Montana as a youth quickly gaining a devoted following. Soon Dee Dee was opening gigs for folks like Magnolia Electric Co., Bill Callahan, Califone, C.J. Boyd, LAKE, Karl Blau, Your Heart Breaks, Jason Webley, Typhoon, Thao & The Get Down Stay Down and many others. After many years of touring with the Missoula Oblongata, a punk theater group and years abroad as an artistic international party boy, Dee Dee sunk into the swamp of New Orleans. No one heard anything for awhile... Now Dee Dee Sea has been tracked down in the woods of Maine in a homemade timber framed studio completely off the grid. The new album, I Saw the Awful Light In the Shadows of Joy is the first offering from the outsider multi-instrumentalist. Recorded entirely with sun power, all alone, this album reeks of slowness, of sand in the sheets, of lusty hangovers, of release and of looking back through the bottom of the wine bottle drank on the beaches of the world. The desperate pleasures told within weave in and out of consciousness and somehow drift up river to the mountains peak and sink deep into the earth... |

| Search | Add | 3 | Ernie Goodson | Ernie Goodson (1910-1995) was a highly regarded jazz clarinetist and saxophonist known for his exceptional talent and contributions to the world of Dixieland jazz. Born in 1910, he began his musical journey as a self-taught musician, with his first performance in the Pit Orchestra of the Tampa Theatre at the age of 17. In 1930, he moved to Miami, where he became an integral part of the local music scene. Over the years, he played at various iconic venues, including the Olympia Theatre (now the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts), Flagler Gardens, Biscayne Dog Track, and numerous Miami Beach hotels. Ernie Goodson's career took a significant turn in the late 1940s when he joined the Preacher Rollo Dixieland Band, a band that gained recognition in the music industry. After the band's breakup in 1960, he continued to perform, collaborating with prominent bandleaders like Ted Lewis, Dick Stabile (for the Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis Television Show), and Skitch Henderson (on Steve Allen's Tonight Show). In 1968, Goodson embarked on a fruitful musical partnership with trumpeter Don Goldie. They played together at jazz festivals across the country, recorded eight albums, and their collaboration lasted until 1992. Ernie Goodson's music was not just about skill; he had a unique way of connecting with people. Described as "witty and charming" by his daughter Teresa Matthews, his warm and engaging personality left a lasting impression on those who had the pleasure of meeting him. Beyond his musical prowess, Goodson had a way of making people feel good and radiated positivity. Throughout his life, Ernie Goodson left an indelible mark on the world of Dixieland jazz, enriching the genre with his talent, versatility, and a knack for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere through his music and personality. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Pitshu | Alberto Matondo Manzambi | Alberto Matondo Manzambi a.k.a. Pitshu migrated to São Paulo, Brazil from Luanda, Angola in 2005 at the age of 20. With him he brought a unique voice for a kind of music unknown to him at the time. His musical occupation back home was singing Kuduro, a genre of popular dance born in Angola at the end of the '80s that continues to evolve today. Still getting accustomed to the third-largest city in the world, he befriended Jimmy The Dancer, a well-known personality in the Centre. Jimmy introduced him to the Dubversão Sound System, led by DJ Fabinho Yellow P since 2001. Dubversão had a regular Friday party downtown, playing roots reggae and dub selections rarely heard in the city at that time. In 2006, Pitshu brought his unique voice to the party - not versed in Jamaican music, his sense of melody, phrasing and cadence was a fresh, new juxtaposition upon the heavier tempo of Jamaican reggae and the psychedelic sounds of dub version. The combination worked famously and Pitshubecame the official MC for the party. This association also resulted in his first CD, "Basoda", produced and released by Dubversão in 2008. Victor Rice was another regular at the party since 2002, discovering it soon after relocating to São Paulo from NYC. Already an 'honorary member' by 2007, Rice brought his Strikkly Vikkly Dubsystem to the party for a special performance. Pitshu improvised deftly over one of the tracks, a King Django rhythm called "Nex Season", while the camera was recording. Rice noted the melody and invited Pitshu over to Studio Copan to develop and record the idea. This would become the first of many collaborations (and the opening track to the sophomore record). Pitshu would arrive at the studio nine more times over the course of two years, and in 2009 Dubversão's Yellow P and Mau would join Rice at the mix sessions. This, Pitshu's second full-length record, has already yielded a 7" single, "Jah Kona" b/w "Major Vikkly"[TRT-001], an instrumental version by Cedric I.M. Brooks(Tenor Sax) and Kevin Batchelor(Trumpet). Pitshu and Rice drew on a variety of source material for these recordings. Some of the backing tracks were created on the spot using real drum tracks from other songs, or a combination of loops and samples. The bass was always played by Rice, though sometimes written by Pitshu. Other rhythm tracks were entirely pre-existing productions that inspired the singer to find a melody. Pitshu jumps freely between languages - Lingala, Portuguese, French, and on occasion Kikongo, English and Swahili. It would take a very particular ear to to discern each and every word of his performances. Pitshu assures the listener that all lyrics are of a basic, positive nature: Giving thanks to the Creator, treating children well, respecting one another. An interesting exception is "Pastore", where he calls attention to those members of the clergy that would abuse their position in society for pleasure and personal gain. Pitshu can still be readily found singing at the parties in the centre of São Paulo - His old collaboration w/ Strikkly Vikkly sometimes comes to the stage, and he has started working with a live band, Massahara, as well. credits released Octo |

| Search | Add | 3 | Saskwatch Iron | Underground hip-hop crew from The Bronx, NY. Some Facts : The whole concept of this project, meaning the group's name, the album's name, the cover's idea, the 90's feel concept overall, all but the lyrics, is the brainchild of Gorilla Glock, who then proposed it to Magnetic, who brought along Tofu. No Beats without lyrics, no lyrics without beats, but if it wasn't for Gorilla Glock's vision, this album wouldn't exist. I believed in Saskwatch Iron and created it. I see a lot of people always taking too much credit on various projects everywhere, so as Gorilla Glock, I'm clearing things up, and thanks to all people who were involved in bringing a physical form to my concept. | |
