Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025

Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Elemental Artificial Sphere The first get-together between Andre Fedorow, Evangelos Mihailidis, Daniel Salinger and Sven Arnold, who where later to become the band EAS, happened at a musician's party in 2003. André Fedorow, who was already known by the artist/producer name "Julian Styles", had various productions and releases behind him so it wasn't a surprise that he got the demos from Sven Arnold and Daniel Salinger that evening. Meanwhile Andre was taking care of various studio productions in 2004 and he came up with more and more ideas for own song material. For the live gigs that were to follow however, he needed the right musicians. Right from the very beginning it was clear, that Sven Arnold should sing the lead vocals. Daniel Salinger was already known through his demo that Andre received at the party. To complete the live band Andre had the studio click track proofed Evangelos Mihailidis in mind who he knew from previous studio productions. These musicians were asked and joined the project immediately. The first incarnation of the band EAS was born and this line up performed various gigs and released some CDs between 2004 – 2007. Sven Arnold left the band in 2007 and was replaced by Sascha Theel for a certain period of time. EAS performs music betweens rock, progressive rock, electronica and pop.

Search Add 3 Spam Animals Spam Animals is really only a convenient header for a series of ad-hoc collaborations which were done during 1986 & 1987. A lot of the material produced by this pairing was very much "tongue in cheek" and, to a certain extent, this puts the work in the category of a "fuck band" in that it was often about indulging in private jokes rather than trying to produce anything too serious.

Search Add 3 Hugh Ricks Hugh Alvin Ricks New Orleans artist (1939-2005) His designs for everything from early Jazzfest posters to Zatarain's spice labels, from the White Pages cover dedicated to the Aquarium of the Americas to the logos of the Hilton Hotel, were part of the New Orleans artistic landscape for decades. He applied his customary sense of dedication to his commercial art career, working tirelessly on a steady stream of high-profile commissions from the 1960s onward: The Crescent City Classic poster, the Albuquerque Balloon Festival poster, the Boston Marathon poster. He won so many design and art awards over the years that he eventually stopped entering such competitions. Ricks grew up in the Iberville housing project and lied about his age to enter the U.S. Marine Corps early. When his deception was discovered near the end of boot camp, he was forced to wait a few months before he endured the arduous training regime a second time. After his discharge from the service, he studied design at Delgado Community College while working as a security guard at NASA.

With over 10 years and over 15 bands of experience to his credits, Ra'id Khursheed is indeed a drummer of 'many trades'. He found a new musical home becoming a part of Negro Terror. Search Add 3 Arizenme Early in the year 2000 5 friends of mutual musical influences assembled to form a band by the name of Kayne who would soon be known better as ARIZENME. The original lineup for the band was Rian Smith-vocals, Justin Wood-percussion, Dale Dickerson-guitar, Seth Johnson-bass guitar, and Joseph Rodriguez-guitar. At first they were playing primarily cover songs with only limited original material. The band spent almost an entire year practicing and writing material before they played their fist live show. The band's sound soon met its audience in Houston's metal and hardcore scenes and continues to do nothing but grow in size. In February of 2002 guitar player Dale Dickerson decided to leave the band due to creative differences. After Dale parted ways with the band they had to rework a lot of their material so it could be played as a four-piece. After a few months of work the band had rediscovered their musical tightness and decided to go into the studio and record their first CD. In the later months of 2002 Arizenme once again pondered the idea of acquiring a second guitar player. In October of 2002 the band soon found the missing piece of their equation in long-time friend Daniel Caldwell. Since then Daniel has been a dynamic addition to Arizenme's audio onslaught. Arizenme welcomes 2003 with the release of their first CD. This self-titled debut promises to leave audiences hungry and anxious for more. Arizenme's sound can't be summarized in just one or two songs. Each song has something different and innovative to offer and no 2 songs are alike. The energy of an Arizenme show is constantly on the rise each show a little crazier than the last. When Arizenme plays, crowds move because their music is real and it's raw. "We put our hearts and souls into our music and we hope the crowd can appreciate that, and all we want from anyone is their respect." ~Joseph and Rian. Arizenme has shared stages with national acts such as The Dillenger Escape Plan, Prong, Mastadon, and Dust for Life as well as local bands such as Fault, Four, The End of Irony, Sore, and many others. Arizenme has come a long way in a fairly short amount of time and they plan to continue to do so far into the future.

Search Add 3 Jeff Blakely Jeff Blakely Hailing from the dark and dank streets of Detroit comes the often mentioned yet rarely seen, Detroit electronic music producer The Madd Roller AKA Dr. JiFFY. In the Roller’s early years he began experimenting with electronic music in a rare MOD format. The songs were heard by members of the underground industry and Dr. JiFFY was spawned. Years later he became the Vice President of the well-known and highly respected Detroit label, Electrofunk Records. Electrofunk Records was at its peek in ‘97 when The Madd Roller, then dubbed Dr. JiFFY, joined the forces of Mr. De’ and DJ Assault. It wasn’t until now that the often mentioned, rarely seen, Madd Roller has decided to rise into the lights. In a recent tour in The UK, during the EF Live tour, The Madd Roller stomped the crowed with immense beats and rhythms. Shortly after the UK tour The Madd Roller went into the studio with other great Detroit artists such as DJ Godfather and Mr. De’ to produce some deeply laced tracks to be released in succession throughout 2004.

Search Add 3 Aerolips U-Krist Sirichana & Darunee Janjan Suepongsa Aerolips are an Electro-Disco Synth pop duo comprising members of Slow Reverse; U-Krist Uzi Sirichana (Producer/Chorus) and Darunee Janjan Suepongsa (Singer/Keyboardist). They formed in 2009 and have since released ‘Make believe’ (2012) and regularly perform live and at parties as well as music festivals. Aerolips music floats in the air, driven by romantic electric beats based on 80’s electric pop accompanying a sweet lonely soul's trip to the nightclub. Aerolips are a synth-pop duo who formed in 2010, consisting of U-Krist Sirichana and Darunee “Janjan” Suepongsa. After the success of his dream pop band, Slow Reverse, U-Krist wanted to start a new electronic dance project, so he joined up with singer Janjan to create Aerolips. The results are a combination of sweet, playful female vocals, and a blending of vintage synthesizers with modern electronic keyboards, all together riding smoothly on energetic disco beats. Their music has simple melodies that are captivating and well structured.

Search Add 3 Kulturní Úderka Kulturní Úderka was founded in the 1990s. After Eda Ondráček left, Štěpán Dokoupil took up the singing and in 2003 released their debut album Rock’s Groove (Indies). At this time, the band established itself as a band that transitioned into the blues genre. The following years brought a lackluster period when the band was looking for energy and basically went through a creative crisis. The new era began in 2018 with the arrival of the Bosnian pianist Omer Blentić (Sarajevo Philharmonic). And since the bass player Mojmir Sabolovich stayed in Sarajevo for a long time, there was a comeback called Sarajevská Katarzija (Indies Happy Trails Records 2018). It kickstarted the band again, and the creative energy gave rise to the album Black Metall. Kulturní Úderka is again based in Brno, although it still goes to record in its favorite studio in Sarajevo. Currently, after the arrival of the drummer Lubomir Eremiáš and second guitarist Vladimír Sabolovič, the band has expanded the line-up and consolidated its classic groove.
