Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025

Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

He began his career in 1924 as a concert singer and in 1925 was engaged as a concert and opera singer at the NORAG radio station in Hamburg, where he remained until 1929. He now also made his debut on the opera stage, and in 1930 went on engagement to the Stadttheater Magdeburg. After a successful guest performance, he was called to the Bavarian State Opera in Munich in 1932, where he was especially successful in heroic roles: as Lohengrin, as Walther von Stolzing in the "Meistersinger", as Rienzi, as Siegmund in the "Walküre" and as Parsifal. In 1935 he went to the City Theater of Kiel and sang at the City Theater of Essen in 1936-42. In the 1942-43 season he was again engaged in Kiel, after which he gave guest performances, but does not seem to have appeared again after World War II. Among his other roles are Florestan in "Fidelio," Max in "Freischütz," Tannhäuser, the title character in H. Pfitzner's "Palestrina," and Faule Hans in Alexander Ritter's opera of the same name. Guest appearances brought him success in theaters in Germany as well as in Switzerland; in addition to his work on the stage, he constantly continued his activity as a concert singer.records: Orchestrola, Adler (Wagner arias).

Known for turning everyday moments into club-ready flips, he builds his sound around sharp percussion, cartoon textures, and unexpected rhythm shifts. Born from the online underground, KnightTheProducer! doesn’t chase trends, he bends them, drawing from pop, trap, and game-inspired loops to create something both chaotic and hypnotic. His catalog moves fast, unapologetic, and always in motion, a reflection of a mind that sees sound as animation in motion rather than just music.

Search Add 3 Lucia Farinati Lucia Farinati (Italy/UK) is an independent curator and researcher based in London. She studied on the Curatorial Programme at Goldsmiths College (2004), London, Public Art and European Cultural Planning at De Montfort University, Leicester (2000) and History of Art and Aesthetics at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Trento (Italy) (1997). Her practice is informed by an interdisciplinary approach to working and collaborating with artists and by a production-oriented mode to framing contemporary art and curatorial practices. Her research is focused on the relationship between contemporary art and the public sphere, and listening at the intersection between sonic art and activism. Current projects include Come una possibilità di incontro, a series of collective readings of the book Autoritratto by art historian and feminist Carla Lonzi, produced for bip bop, a project by Rita Correddu and Elena Biserna, for Radio Fujiko (June 2013) and Ascoltando Camminando, a sound walk based workshop in collaboration with Brave New Alps for the Festival Futuro Presente, Rovereto, (June 2013). In 2012 she curated Nuovi Paesaggi - Sound Stories from Tuscany, five works conceived and produced for radio that narrate a territory and its cultural geography by Viv Corringham, Mikhail Karikis, Laura Malacart, Davide Tidoni & Allen S. Weiss, produced by Radio Papesse and Villa Romana, Florence, Summer 2012 Between 2002 and 2007 she curated many exhibitions in museums and art spaces in Italy and in the UK, including Framing Devices (Paola di Bello, Margherita Morgantin, Camila Sposati), The Agency, London; Tales of The City (co-curator) (Abigail Reynolds, Carey Young, Nils Norman, Zineb Sedira et al.), Arte Fiera, Bologna; Beating About the Bush (cocurator) (Peter Coffin, Gabriel Kuri, Hannah Rickard, William Speakman, Mark Aerial Waller et al.), South London Gallery; Rip it up and start again (Dan Davis, Richard T. Walker, William Hunt), Villa delle Rose, Bologna; Ursula Mayer, Monitor, Rome; Institution of Rot (curator of events by 16 Beaver and the Bohman Brothers among others). With the support of Arts Council England she initiated and co-produced two long term crossdisciplinary projects that investigated the social and urban regeneration of East London: We Sell Boxes, We Buy Gold (2007) a series of urban walks and field recordings made in collaboration with Jude Rosen, Alberto Duman, Louise Garrett and Richard Crow, London, which was recently presented as part of Sound Proof 5, London (August 2012); and Found Wanting (2003), a night bus tour in collaboration with the collective e-Xplo (Rene Gabri, Heimo Lattner, Erin McGonigle). She has been collaborating with the artist William Furlong since 2005, initially as an interviewer for Audio Arts magazine (interviews with artists Tino Sehgal, Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, Carl von Hausswolff and Leif Elggren, and Manuela Ribadeneira, 2005-2007) and subsequently as a curator. Through a series of site-specific exhibitions she investigated Audio Arts as an active arc hive. The exhibitions include: Speaking to Others: Who Speaks to Who, Villa Romana, Florence, 2013; Not Speaking the Language, Flat Time House, London, 2010; Hearing Me Hearing You, Plymouth Arts Centre, Plymouth, 2007; Extraction/ Construction/Abstraction, Sound Art Museum/Radio Arte Mobile, Rome 2006. In 2006 she organized and chaired the Symposium Active Archive at the British School at Rome, with William Furlong, the art critic Mel Gooding, music journalist Daniela Cascella, and curator Lorenzo Benedetti. The outcome of this research was recently presented at the symposium Off the Record: The history and legacy of Audio Arts Magazine on contemporary art, Tate Britain, 13 October 2012. Lucia is currently Associate Lecturer at Kingston School of Art and Chelsea School of Art (UAL) and also leads seminars on public art, curatorial practice, and cultural activism, with specific focus on sound, immaterial labour, and feminist practice. These have included lectures at Glasgow School of Art, London College of Fashion, Royal College of Art, London College of Communications, Wimbledon College of Art, Bergamo Fine Arts Academy - Accademia Carrara; Milan University Il Politecnico, and Tate Britain among many others. In 2010 she co-edited with writer Daniela Cascella, Transmission, a book commissioned by the Cut & Splice Festival in London and produced by Sound and Music and BBC Radio 3. Farinati has recently published "The Force of Listening", Errant Bodies Press 2017, a new publication that looks at the role of listening in contemporary conjunctions between art and activism, and was launched at Housmans Radical Bookshop in London in July 2017. In June 2016 she presented at the conference "Giving Life to Politics: The Work of Adriana Cavarero, CAPPE, University of Brighton. Recent conferences and presentations: Immurement, (Mountain of Art Research), Art Research Seminar, Flashpoint 1, Goldsmiths University of London. 5 October, 2017, and Incommon: Performing Arts in Italy 1959 to 1970, IUAV, Venice 19-20 October 2017.

After winning the African Hip-Hop producer of the year, in 2004, at the tender age of 19, his influence in the South African Hip-Hop industry escalated to great heights, crafting 'classic' material for some of South Africa's top acts. His strength lies in his ability to delve from genre to genre without losing the quality in music that he strongly stands for. Search Add 3 Rafael Kozub Rafael Kozub Rafael Kozub & Damian Kozub, Cracow (Poland) duo’s activity dates back to late 70’s. The twin brothers, multi–instrumentalists–Rafael and Damian, started playing when they were kids in a band Pantograf that was a part of municipal transport corporation. The brothers created their own band a bit later with their then bassist (later the lead singer and the guitarist of the Cracow blues formation KGB) Paweł Małysiak "Pawka". Their activity of that time as well as studio recordings were still little bashful. Between 1982 and 1988 they recorded their music on tapes at a home studio and distributed them in Poland and abroad in samizdat by three publishing houses: B.N.exp, ARS2, AML. In 1986 Rafael and Damian started another group Fragmenty R–27 (later called simply R–27) Encouraged by another band’s success (ZAOS) R–27 they continued their artistic performance for the next four years. The line–up changed over the years: Andrzej Jarzyna was the first drummer, Piotr Nodzeń was the second bassist and Darek Kaszubski played bongos, still the core members stayed invariable: Rafael Kozub (keyboard and percussion, vocals and composer), Damian Kozub (percussion, vocals, piano and composing), Rafał Walczowski "Walek" (bassist), Piotr Łabuzek "Buzer" (trumpet, vocals and synthesizer) and Paweł Ochel "Rudy" (guitar and vocals). The brothers gave a lot of concerts with this controversial band in their home town Cracow (at a club and Podwawelski Cinema, twice at Nowohuckie Culture Centre (NCK), at Wola Zoo Club and Białoprądnicki Manor House, etc.) They also took part in a few big events such as: in Skawina – "O.D.K" club , in Katowice – "Akant" student club, at a "Festiwal Muzyki Odjazdowej", "O To Chodzi" club in Rzeszów, in Warsaw – "Remont" club and at "Marchewka" Festival in "Riviera" club – together with the composer Zbigniew Lampart – the then manager of Ludwik Solski Theatre in Tarnów. The mistrust towards those vigorous performances, however very remote from post–punk culture, that the band would give, made R–27 abandon further tours and giving accidental gigs. Apart from tape recordings the brothers published numerous brochures, papers such as: Alter – edited with Robert Kramaric and features – later used by Henryk Palczewski in his guide ARS2. In 1988 the brothers started publishing cooperation with Mariusz Błachowicz and in the middle of 1989 met musicians: Ireneusz Socha, Arkadiusz Franczyk and Andrzej Kramarz (Kirkut–Koncept and Na Przykład) with whom they recorded "Sen Wczorajszy" in October 1989. On emigration the brothers pursued solo careers. Having settled down in Rhineland – Westphalia (Germany) they carried out their musical projects till late 90’s – especially Damian who recorded even till 2007. The projects have been published on tapes and CD’s. His later attempt to start a band with Peter Sohn from Wuppertal wasn’t successful.

Of humble rural origin, as a child showed considerable musical skills. Fame came soon, thanks to singing with a booming voice and, simultaneously, accompanied in a virtuous way with the bagpipe or the harmonium, getting to compose a repertoire of its own that is part of the musical heritage of Asturias and other territories. Thanks to that artistic multiplicity and its charismatic character, popular esteem was easily gained and, later, the poster of renowned artistic spaces. Dignified and made known outside Spain traditional Asturian music, as a pioneer in transcending beyond its borders through tours, recordings or radio performances at the dawn of the twentieth century. In 1889 an industrial firm took him to the Universal Exposition in Paris, on his first trip abroad, which gave him an important boost. The following year, he settled for marriage in the town of Libardón, from where the artistic name comes with which he passed to posterity. In 1900 he traveled again to Paris led by a brand of Asturian cider, to participate in the Universal Exhibition whose symbol was the Eiffel Tower. The success there obtained that the jury of the contest granted him the Medal of Merit, one of the many awards that he would receive in his career, as the one later imposed by King Alfonso XIII. In turn, the piper composed a song for the Prince of Asturias and was also received in audience by Queen Mother Maria Cristina and General Primo de Rivera. Its artistic apogee covered the first three decades of the twentieth century, with performances throughout the national territory that announced the "laureate and famous piper", according to the programs of the time. Later, he began his journey abroad, sponsored by the thriving Asturian industry of accordion cider and later on tournees on his own. In Europe he traveled through Italy, France, Germany and England and, in 1907, he arrived for the first time in America, where, until 1918 and in several trips from Spain, he traveled from the south of the United States to Argentina. In Cuba he coincided with Enrico Caruso (1873-1921), perceiving the same cachet as the famous Neapolitan tenor. In 1911 he attended the International Exhibition of Buenos Aires. He signed an international contract there with a New York firm to make recordings, an activity that began in 1909 in Spain, and that continued in successive years for several phonographic brands in Spanish and European studios. After attending the Barcelona International Exposition of 1929, his last sounded appearance was made that same year at the Ibero-American Exposition in Seville, shortly before his death that had great public repercussion. Since then, tributes are regularly held in his memory. Thus, in 2001, he was designated as one of the "20 Asturians of the 20th Century" in a popular contest organized through the Internet by the newspaper El Comercio in Gijón .

Search Add 3 Anne Collingham Anne Collingham was not a real person. It was made up by Tony Barrow in 1963 to help keep things simple at [l104714]. A variety of girls who worked at the fan club were used as 'Anne Collingham' for photos at the time. Tony Barrow wrote about this in the May 1983 issue of the Beatle Book Monthly: "I decided in June 1963 that the Club should have a Nation Secretary based in London at our Monmouth Street address. Until then, fans in the South had kept in touch through [a11055221] in Surrey whilst [a13414875] had looked after the top half of Britain from her NEMS office base in Liverpool. The name of the new National Secretary was given as 'Anne Collingham'. In fact, no such person ever existed. The 'Collingham' part came from part of my secretary's home address in Earls Court, and Anne was my wife's middle name. It wasn't done in order to deceive the fans. It was intended to be helpful. Clearly as the membership grew a full time office staff of clerks and helpers would be needed. There was little to be gained from confusing members by letter them receive replies from an assortment of people, especially as staff were coming and going all the time. So the simplest answer seemed to be to have Anne Collingham as the regular signature on all individual reply letters, on newsletters and on all the Club's printed stationery. There was another massive advantage. The press office and the Fan Club shared a single telephone number, COVent Garden 2332. As the publicity side of things became busier we were not only handling the Beatles but all the other NEMS acts ranging from Billy J. Kramer to Cilla Black. The telephone lines were being used more and more heavily. Therefore it was convenient to know at once if a caller wanted the press office or the Fan Club. If the caller asked or Anne Collingham, it was passed straight through to the right room to be handled quickly. Personal callers at 13 Monmouth Street always found themselves talking to come of Anne Collingham's assistants. Ms. Collingham herself seemed to eb permanently unavailable to meet her visiting members! The Fan club grew so fast that we took an extra floor of office space above the press office's suite of rooms. Here at least half a dozen full time workers coped with the mountains of mail. These peopel included Michael Crowther-Smith, tony Catchpole, Yvonne Sainsbury, Monica Stringer and Macy Cockram. By the end of 1963, Bettina Rose, the Surrey-based South of England Secretary, had been put on the full-time NEMS payroll and was working at at Monmouth Street as the colleague of 'Anne Collingham'. The two signed themselves as 'Joint National Secretaries of the Official Beatles Fan Club'. Bettina's physical appearance at Monmouth Street meant that at least one of the Club's chiefs was on hand to meet visitors in person."
