Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Lucy Ishkhanian | Lucy Ishkanian Tankian | Internationally recognized pianist who performed in the major concert halls around the world to great acclaim, died in a hospital in New York City on April 20. She was 80. Her nine tours from 1962 to 1979 throughout the former Soviet Union was part of the "Special Prize" award she received from the jury of the Second International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. She also was sent on tour by the US Department of State Cultural Program and performed throughout the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Western Europe, Argentina, and the United States under the management of impresario Sol Hurok. In 1971, she was presented by Hurok at her debut at Philharmonic Hall (now Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center.) A native New Yorker of Armenian descent, she gave her first recital at age seven, two years after becoming the youngest student ever accepted to the Juilliard School Preparatory Division. She continued her education there as a scholarship winner for 15 years, and graduated with both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees. She also completed requirements for a PH.D degree at Columbia University. Among her teachers were Beveridge Webster and Rosina Lhevinne. She also coached with some of the greatest musicians, including pianists Mieczeslaw Horszowski, Yakov Fliere, Emil Gilels, and composer Aram Khachaturian who entrusted her with the American premiere of his Piano Sonata. Among her greatest achievements was the foundation of the Juilliard-Komitas friendship program in 1992, enabling gifted students from the Komitas Conservatory in Yerevan, Armenia to be admitted to The Juilliard School in New York to continue their musical education. Ms. Ishkanian was an honorary professor at the Komitas Conservatory, and served as president of the jury for the graduation examinations. Ms. Ishkanian also was a distinguished member of international piano competition juries around the world, including the First International Aram Khachaturian Piano Competition in Yerevan in 1997, the First International Rachmaninoff Piano Competition in Los Angeles, CA in 2002, as well as the Dorothy MacKenzie Artist Recognition Awards at the International Keyboard Institute and Festival in New York City. Ms. Ishkanian is survived by her husband, Hagop Tankian. A brother, Vahe, predeceased her. There will be a 40th day requiem service on Sunday at the St. Illuminator's Armenian Apostolic Cathedral, located at 221 East 27th Street in New York City, starting at 11:30am, after which there will be a musical tribute and a reception. Donations in her memory may be made to the Armenian Scholarship Fund at The Juilliard School. Published in The New York Times on May 30, 2014 |

Instrumentation was piano, xylophone, two banjos, and violin. According to the Columbia files, the band used the name "Borbee's Tango Orchestra" at its first session. When Columbia released the resulting record in June 1917, however, the company had renamed the band "Borbee's 'Jass' Orchestra" to capitalize on the new craze for everything "jass" or "jazz" after the Original Dixieland 'Jass' Band had a huge hit with their April 1917 release of [r10032046].

Search | Add | 2 | Mark Room | Mark Room has already begun with nine years to realize his love for music in the local marching band. Several times he wins the title „German Champion" with this club. But only to play the marsh drum was not enough – he deals increasingly with music theory. His own computer becomes like a small studio and the first sounds were arranged digitally. Furthermore he starts to play music in clubs, discotheques and on events. It is his special sound combination which makes the audible difference to other artists. In collaboration with a local studio the first release generated in the end of 2002. Promptly the track stays in various charts on top positions for several weeks. Exclusive Remixes for own use grade up Mark Room’s DJ sets and makes him ready for the international stage.

An enigma of anti hero sub culture, Nick Noro brings to you "Fleetwood Mac," his first crossover hip hop production, featuring lofi samples and abstractions that truly escape description. Nick Noro's stream of conscious verbiage has been described as a cross between James Joyce and Iceberg Slim.

Search | Add | 2 | Fielding Dawson | Fielding Dawson (August 2, 1930 – January 5, 2002) was a Beat-era author of short stories and novels, and a student at Black Mountain College. He was also a painter and collagist whose works were seen in several books of poetry and many literary magazines. Born in New York City, Dawson was known for his stream-of-consciousness style. Much of his work was lax in punctuation to emphasize the immediacy of thought. Additionally, dialogue would often be used to break this up. His lack of deference toward tradition in writing, other than that of the necessity to evoke humanity, often painfully raw, is what puts him in the category of many of his better-known contemporaries, such as Jack Kerouac or Allen Ginsberg. Dawson was still writing up until his unexpected death in January 2002. He had become a teacher, first in prisons like Sing Sing, at the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at the Naropa Institute in Boulder, where he taught regularly, and continuing on to work with at-risk students at Upward Bound High School in Hartwick, New York. He was recently called "The Best St. Louis Writer You've Never Read" by David Clewell, a professor of history at Webster University.

Search | Add | 2 | Firing Bullets | Richard Starke | Richard Starke was born in South Hampton and now resides in Seattle where he concocts some of the freshest experimental breaks this side of the pond. Starke is no new-comer to the world of production: he founded his first band at 15 after playing the guitar for only two years. After a brief signing to Giles Peterson's highly eclectic Acid Jazz moniker, Starke struck a deal with the High Llamas Sean O'Hagan. That in turn led to his full-length project Gideon Gaye. At this time he felt the urge to record something new. Not finding any likeminded musical mates in Seattle, Starke opted to use the late '90s musician's best friend: a Pentium 166. He downloaded and bootlegged software, and mixed in a 10-year supply of thrift store classics to create the music you have before you. Welcome to the new breakbeat sound of Firing Bullits |

She currently lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden. "I guess everyone's calling me a "horror artist" because I deal with difficult emotions and themes such as fear, angst, madness, rage and sorrow in my art. But I also use a lot of humour. Making my demons having fun on the canvas. You could describe my art as horror pop surrealism or dark lowbrow. My work includes mixed media, paintings and digital collages. I'm self taught, using my own techniques and constantly learning new stuff. Sometimes it works, sometimes it sucks, but that's all part of my self education. The fact that I'm also an art historian has definitely had a great impact on my art. But I’m mostly inspired by movies and film directors such as David Lynch, Ingmar Bergman, Alfred Hitchcock, Roy Andersson, Terry Gilliam and Tim Burton and artists like Hieronymus Bosch, Pieter Bruegel, Francisco Goya, Jean-Michel Basquiat and the masters of Disney Studio's in the 1930's-40's. All my collegues in the Lowbrow Art Movement are also inspiration sources."

Banned from most intergalactic venues, they’re here now to share their subsonic vibrations . . . Apply at the transportation portal, for your journey into the forbidden zone . . . The Lobsterbotomy awaits . . . YEAH . . . Search | Add | 2 | Julie Lavender | Originally from Chicago, Illinois, as a child, Julie studied piano and classical guitar. Later, she played steel guitar but developed her musical skills primarily as a singer. Her style artfully blends pop with touches of classical music structures and jazzy suggestions. As a songwriter, she draws upon her life experiences, many of which reflect her home environment as a child and her adult life as wife and mother. Her repertoire is an intriguing blend of her own compositions, pop, jazz and classical music. After spending some years resident in Southern California, where she played concerts in Los Angeles and the San Diego area, in the early 2000s, Lavender relocated to the New England states.
