Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024

Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Conterm_red Conterm_red was founded in the late 90's by Winfried Strauss. He developed the music slowly from trackerbased computer music towards industrial and EBM. In 1998 Tom joined Conterm_red as vocalist and songwriter as well. After releasing the more industrial and lofi sounding MCD [r=1190541] Conterm_red changed their music style by including more and more electronic elements and went into the music studio Audiodrome in Mannheim to record their songs. The next EP [r=1190537] was released exactly two years after the first MCD. Today Conterm_red represents a hard, technoid sound without any vocals except sampled voices and a music style somewhere between Thomas P. Heckmann and Tragic Error.

Search Add 2 June Pace-Martin June Pace - Martin began her singing career at the age of seven when she performed with her sisters known in the Gospel arena as “[a824957]”. She continued singing with [a824957] through the 90’s, during which they performed at the Stella Awards and were nominated. Hailing out of Atlanta Georgia, Co-Pastor June and the sisters brought a new song to gospel music on the cutting edge of the industry. Although there are nine sisters, Co-Pastor June Pace-Martin in her own right, has a distinct POWER PACKED style. She exemplifies a passionate love for music as she expresses herself, on any platform lifting up the name of the LORD. She has also performed as a special soloist during the National and State Holy Convocation in Memphis and Atlanta respectively. In addition, she performed briefly in the 1997 critically acclaimed play, “Lord Have Mercy”, by David Talbert. Later Co-Pastor June captivated the TBN audiences, when she appeared as the guest Gospel Artist of Candy Staton’s “YES LORD” TV Show. Co-Pastor June was fortunate to grace the big screen in 2002, with a musical performance in the Gospel Movie “The Fighting Temptations” starring Cuba Gooding Jr. And Beyonce Knowles. In 2014, she appeared as a choir extra in the family drama film “Hamlet & Hutch.” June has sung all over the United States as well as in South Korea and Gatwick London. Yet, home at Restoration Revival Church of God in Christ where her husband of thirty-three years, Elder Dennis Lamar Martin, Sr. Is the Pastor, Co-Pastor June trains the choirs and leads Praise and Worship. She serves as President of the Women’s Department, Board of Trustee, Sunday School Teacher, Finance Officer and Co-Pastor. Outside of her other leadership roles in her church, Co-Pastor June’s musical credentials go on and on. She has preformed with Bishop [a350128], [a569446], [a41641], [a38202], Dr. [a4153094], [a178293], [a608389], [a1196820], [a118531], [a105452], [a879230], [a178301], [a178299], [a250067], and others. Search Add 2 Who's To Blame? Melbourne based melodic punk band and 3AW talk back tormentors from the late 90's to early 2000's. We took mediocrity to new heights with our bumbling shows and relentless prank calls to 3AW. We had some good songs and we had some average songs, we played lots of shows and played with some great bands. We broke up for awhile and then did a reunion show 10 years later and then again 10 years after that. We might write and record some new music one day, but we are pretty lazy and not very organised so don't hold your breath. If you like mediocrity at best then you are in the right place. Feel free to come to our facebook page and leave some abuse.

Search Add 2 Producto Nacional Spanish R.A.C band start in the end of '80's, beginning of '90's and it was a personal project of a NS skinhead from Madrid, he was the bassist. This is a good live record taken from a gig of the band in a college/hall of residence, included also covers in AC/DC, Lynard Skynyrd and Business songs. After Producto Nacional split-up, the bassist was one of the original members of Estirpe Imperial and he played bass on their first release, a 12" mini-lp with 4 songs. You can heard a very nice Rock 'n' Roll/Oi! sound and great songs like Tu Ciudad (covered by Odal today).

Search Add 2 The New Day Country Band A progressive bluegrass band from Asheville, North Carolina, this group featured banjo picker Marc Pruett, who later became a solo artist and nationally-known performer. The full band was Richard Carpenter on drums, Wayne Carter (rhythm guitar), Earl Cowart (guitar), Boyd Dills (guitar), Mike Hunter (mandolin), J. B. Passmore (bass), and Marc Pruett on banjo and dobro. At the time Pruett ran a music shop in Ashville, while Cowart lived in nearby Franklin. Pruett cut his teeth as a performer playing bluegrass music in western-themed amusement parks such as Ghost Town (in Maggie Valley) and Franklin's Gold City; later he landed a gig with the Jimmy Martin band, which placed him on ahe national stage. I'm not 100% sure, but I think this was Pruett's first album.

Search Add 2 The Secret Church Orchestra Nouveau projet d’Ollivier LEROY (alias Olli &The Bollywood Orchestra), The Secret Church Orchestra propose un univers musical unique et moderne d’une grande finesse.

Search Add 2 Unsifted The story of Unsifted begins in 1999 thanks to the musical passion of four friends. Our first line-up, consisting of Dario on bass, Emiliano on electric guitar, Filippo on drums and Cristiano vocals and guitar, was already born with quite clear ideas about the musical genre with which to try our hand: melodic punk-hardcore. Today, in fact, after 4 years, we are doing nu-metal and there are five of us. But let's go back... The first times were not easy at all in fact we were 4 complete rookies, that is no one had ever taken, or almost, the instrument in hand; and I'm not talking about the first saw ... Anyway, without being discouraged by the certainly not exciting results of the first times we found ourselves to try, with a spirit of self-denial, sweat (especially Filippo) and fatigue, after some time we became familiar with our instruments and things improved considerably. In a few months we had already managed to reach our first goal, that is to do "Bullion" by Millencolin in a way that is not decent but acceptable. Then we were composing melodic punk-hardcore songs on repeat and, I swear, some of them weren't bad at all, one above all "skaters" (our most avid fans still remember her!). The germ of a new sound, however, was already creeping into the group and a short time later the first song was born that didn't fuck us with what we were doing, "Smelling plastic people", but it was a success. At our first concert, organized by the Godzilla social center at the Three Bridges, as many as 1 person came to compliment us in person and told us that the song he liked best was just that. From that moment our music began to take a slightly different turn and the group changed its appearance with the arrival of Marco on vocals in 2001, finally defining the genre musical; nu-metal indeed. But the soul and spirit of the first bands that inspired us have not been completely lost and recently someone told me that the reason they like us is that deep down in our music you can still hear the influences of the early days. And in fact he is not completely wrong. From the moment Marco joined the band, the live activity of the group began to be more frequent and, after getting to know us, as much as possible, in the Livorno music scene, in July 2002 we recorded our first self-produced demo which, despite its sonic immaturity, obtained excellent feedback from critics and some fanzines wrote about us: "... the 4 pieces contained in the demo connote and underline the thick and powerful sonority of the band, alternating with melodic spaces of remarkable workmanship. " With this demo we managed to accumulate other more interesting live experiences towards the end of 2002, including a truly unforgettable one at the central Telethon show in Piazza dei Cavalieri in Pisa. Beautiful because we were able to play to the fullest of our potential with an excellent system and high professionalism of the people who worked at the event, but above all because after us nothing less than "The cousins of the countryside" are mounted on the stage !! Executioner, what moments ... (With all due respect to the country cousins and their hairstyles ... At the beginning of 2003, like any newcomer group, we began to participate in the first competitions and events both at a regional and national level and thanks to the participation in "Sanremo Rock", where we won the regional selection that took place at the Blus Up in Venturina. , we were able to play in several well-known clubs in the province of Pisa and Lucca, up to the national final which took place in Sanremo in February 2003 (it was cold and we were dying) where, however, due to health reasons, our bassist he was replaced for the occasion by the very famous Daniele Catalucci (Virginiana Miller). In the provincial context, on the other hand, it is worth noting the excellent experience of the "rock emergency" competition which saw us reach the provincial final and consolidated our position in the Livorno music scene. Thanks to this event we got in touch with the organizer of the show who will supervise the realization of the new promo-cd that we will record in September
