Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025

Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 ANTDUAN Antonio D ANTDUAN is an Israeli, Thailand-based electronic artist who first became interested in music back when he was eight years old. He particularly gravitated towards electronic music as he began composing and creating his own original tracks; merging aspects of Techno, Deep House, and various sub-genres to form his unique sound. To date ANTDUAN has nine Single/EPs released on his online discography: ‘Deep Forest’, ‘Moon Shadow’, ‘Do You Remember’, ‘Liquid Dream’, ‘Rain Drops’, ‘Mind Control’, ‘Perpetual (ANTDUAN Remix)’, ‘Coming to You’ and ‘Propaganda’. One of his most successful tracks, ‘Rain Drops’ (2020), amassed almost fifty-one thousand streams on Spotify alone. With all nine releases dropping since the beginning of this year, there’s no denying the fact that ANTDUAN is developing some serious momentum moving into the second half of 2020.

Search Add 2 Charles Harold Bernstein Charles Harold Bernstein Born in Los Angeles, Charles Harold Bernstein was a child prodigy pianist who performed as soloist with orchestras by the age of nine. At the age nineteen a serious health problem put a halt to a promising career. The need to turn his life in other directions led to a career in business. However, in spite of the demands on his time in the world of commerce, the need to express himself in music remained a driving force in his life. Bernstein began composing in 1970, plunging into an intense study of harmony and theory and working closely with such artists as violinist Yoshiko Nakura (founding member of the Tokyo String Quartet), violist Milton Thomas, and violinist Adam Korniszewski. Ironically, having begun his musical career as a pianist, Bernstein does not use a piano for his work nor does he write for it. He has produced an impressive range of music - from extended solos for violin, cello, oboe, clarinet and flute to quintets and eight works for orchestra – several of which have seen performances in the United States. Bernstein’s chamber music is performed in Europe and North America and some of his music is recorded by such well-known musicians as violinist Ivry Gitlis. A number of his chamber works have recently been released on the Centaur label. Bernstein is currently working on a tone poem for baritone and orchestra to a poem by D.H. Lawrence.

Search Add 2 ישראלים\פעולה\סקס Israelis/Action/Sex is an Israeli rock band founded in Tel-Aviv in 2005. This is the fifth group in which the singer Maor Cohen is a member as a vocalist. The band members are three former members of the band Zikney Tzfat; Maor Cohen, Yuval Keiner and Tom Mokhin, and Tamir Shkolnik who accompanied Cohen on his two solo albums. The band's style, which includes songs influenced by rock bands from the 1960s and humorous lyrics, is reminiscent of that of Zikney Tzfat. The band launched its debut album, "Kings of the Sex", in 2005 as an independent production, and until 2007 it was sold only at concerts.

Search Add 2 Sicknest Polish Progressive Metal formed in 2011 in Katowice / Sosnowiec. The SickNest band was formed in January 2011 on the initiative of Gipson (guitar), Dave (drums), Sergei (keyboards) and Pilot (vocal). In April, Banan (guitar) joined, and Hipis (bass) soon followed. The adopted name reflects what happens musically inside the band. Each of us is original in its crazy way, which gives you the opportunity to create unique music. In 2012, the band recorded a demo, where they were placed two completely different music pieces, showing the potential of the group. The material has been well received as evidenced by reviews, attendance at concerts and invitations to support, among others Jelonka, Kata and Turbo. At the end of 2014, work on the first full album, titled Reality Imprisoned, was finished. 8 highly progressive tracks inspired by many metal genres, which also contain a dose of other styles of music. The main assumption was the lack of restrictions in creating music. An original approach to playing, the originality and complexity of the tracks characterize the music path that the SickNest band follows. After a series of concerts accompanied by the legends of the Polish and foreign metal scene, the band drops Hipis, whose place is replaced by Krzysztof "Mazi" Mazurek. Work on the next album begins. Meanwhile, the band leaves the vocalist Pilot, whose place after long months of searching is occupied by Michal "Ever" Ewertowski. The band is currently finishing recording for the second album, which will be released in the spring of 2018. Current line-up MIchal Ewertowski - Vocals Adam Banas - Guitars Pawel Cygan - Guitars Krzysztof Mazurek - Bass Artur Nowak - Keyboards Dawid Broniszewski - Drums

Search Add 2 Peter Maniette Peter Maniette was the man behind the legendary "The Wylde Mammoths", who in the eighties released two albums on the American label, Crypt Records. Crypt, had up to that point in time, solely released different compilations with the obscure sixties-bands, for instance "Back from the Grave". When Tim Warren (from Crypt), heard "The Wylde Mammoths" for the first time, he was totally knocked out and realised he had to help out the band. "The Wylde Mammoths" made two LPs and a handful of singles before they called it a day.
