Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025

Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Calle Sexta Calle Sexta Pop/Rock Band from Lima, Peru (1986-1988) Just released a single called Quién Me Entiende (1987) with 2 compositions in an independent studio: A Pop/Rock song of simple and fun lyrics and with agile rhythm and the b-side in the style of the Kansas. The single gets an unexpected reception, surprising even the members of the group themselves, as it reaches the Top of the Lima Radio Stations. However, the group doesn't perform any concerts and all due to the lack of time of the members. That's why new songs were not on the air either.

Search Add 2 Eyes Turned Skyward Full electronic three-man project from Munich/Germany founded in 2010 by the members: Armin Dörfler (aka AD) Markus Lindwurm (aka Cygnotic) Matthias Köhler (aka Sal Ban) Characterized by 100% live and adhoc sessions, unplanned, unaltered, without pre-designed schemes or structures. Every live session is unique and not to repeat that way. Most Sessions extend to very long tracks. So e.g. the first release 'Border worlds' still represents the longest single release with 92 minutes. Subsequent to the recorded live session the releases are enriched with track names, artwork and sometimes a story line (e.g. 'Cosmodrome'). Eyes Turned Skyward represents a holistic musical flow "The whole is more than the sum of its parts.

Search Add 2 Ratt Pac Gangsta rap duo from Shady Oaks, in Jackson, MS, made up of Locsta & Rat Tat, who grew up together & teamed up in 1993. Ratt Pac released an album in 1998 through Monetary Records, entitled "The Home Of The Killaz And Crack". This release is simply one of the best album from the Magnolia State, period... It's some hard street tales about living in Jacktown over with great mic control over pure southern fried funk. Timeless album... Ratt Pac also performed the song "If I Fail" featuring R.M.C. on the compilation of Monetary Records released in 2000 & entitled "Survival Of The Fittest", entirely produced by legendary Freddie Young... After this they vanished. Don't know what they became...
