Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Julio Escalante | Porto based newcomer Julio Escalante, is a real passionist. Listening to Detroit's classic techno sounds all of his life, he suddenly discovered hidden abilities of creating his own music. Never learned, never even tried and never even had the interest of playing any instruments, he rapidly gained his knowledge of composing only using his computer, a controller and his Detroit influenced creative mind. He spends days and nights creating deeply detailed loops fitted under simply, yet melodic synths. Julio's musical career has just started, but may his music become big, he will always stay in the background...

Search | Add | 3 | Esther Ford | Rev. Lady Esther Ford Carroll | Lady Esther Ford was a nationally renowned gospel singer, minister, tambourine player, playwright, and producer. Born December 30,1930 her musical career began at the early age of five. She was billed as the “Child Wonder Gospel Singer.” Ford sang with The Famous [a= Ward Singers], [a= The Stars Of Faith], and many other famous gospel singers. Around 1958, Ford, [a= Kitty Parham], [a= Marion Williams], [a= Frances Steadman], and [a= Henrietta Waddy] resigned from the [a= Ward Singers] to form [a= The Stars Of Faith]. Ford was also the group’s first manager and driver, and [a= Kitty Parham] helped secure the bookings, since she had kept the names of all the Ward sponsors and promoters written in a notebook. Ford was the first in many things including member of the first African American group ([a=The Stars Of Faith])to sing before the Pope at the Vatican, Carnegie Hall, and Radio City Music Hall. Pope Paul IV stated that he was so spiritually moved by Lady Esther’s rendition of “Come Ye Disconsolate”. In 1964, she also founded and recorded the first Interracial Gospel Group [a= The Exodus Singers]. The newly formed integrated female group recorded an album in the United States on the Savoy Records. Ford also recorded her first solo album, “Profiles of a Great Lady,” which was on the Nashboro Label. Esther traveled internationally and nationally for more than 80 years using her voice to spread the gospel in song. Esther Ford at the age of 85 died in August 2016, and was the last surviving member of the original [a= Ward Singers] and [a= The Stars Of Faith]. |

Born Borgercompagnie (Veendam) September 26, 1879 – died Amersfoort February 27, 1972). He also used the alias: Jean Duverre. From 1905 to 1911 he was the conductor at Heerenveens Muziekcorps. In 1911 Van der Glas was appointed bandmaster at 3e Regiment Infanterie of Bergen op Zoom. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Muziekvereniging NEO Rucphen he wrote one of his most famous compositions, "De Feestmars", which has been published on gramophone records several times. Search | Add | 3 | Chartered Hurricane | Chartered Hurricane was a NWOBHM duo consisting of Phil and Mark Jones that gigged consistently and built up a large following in the Newport Gwent area of Wales in the early 80's. The band formed in 1981 and released this one very scarce single (originally housed in a stamped sleeve) in 1983. The A side "Cathy Come Home" is a great pop song while the B side, "All Smashed Up", is more appealing to NWOBHM collector types. The band eventually grew to a five piece adding Mike Ward on bass, Terry (TNT) Thomas on drums and Robert Millar on guitar. After several failed attempts to break it big in London they split in 1984. Phil Jones subsequently formed the band [a2051223]. In 2013, Mark and Phil began working together on new and original Chartered Hurricane songs with the potential of an eventual album release and performed live again on December 13th, 2014. The album 'Touch The Rocks' was released on 24 April 2021. Founding member [a3615255] died on 27th January 2019 (aged 59) and [a2051222] on 19th August 2020, shortly after completing his recordings for the album.

Search | Add | 3 | John Centinaro | John Centinaro is a long time Tampa area song writer and manager who's roots in music go back to the late sixties when he managed several groups. In the early 60's John was the manager of a local record store in Tampa called Ron's Record Shop, located at the Britton Plaza Mall. After a chance meeting with local youth Buddy Good, Centinaro began managing and producing Good's band, The Scopes. John was instrumental in getting there single "She's Got Bad Breath" & "Tears In Your Eyes", issued in the summer of 1967 on the USA label out of Chicago. The song features John and company doing a mersey-ish spoof on the topside, with a decent mid tempo song on the flip side. With his next band, 60's garage Band The Surprize, John managed and produced the band on his own Cent Record label out of Tampa, Florida. The band released there only single [r4928586], before breaking up and three of the members joining Centinaro's next project Mercy. Mercy were an American pop group from Brandon,Florida. They released a hit single hit on Warner Brothers Records titled "Love (Can Make You Happy)" which soared to #2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, and also peaked at #2 on the Adult Contemporary chart. Mercy had one other Billboard Hot 100 hit, the song "Forever", which reached #79 in June 1969. After Mercy, John hooked up with James Marvell & Buddy Good for there next venture as The Country Cavaleers. The Country Cavaleers were an oddity at the time, being Country & Western and yet both members sported long hair. “You’ve got to remember it was right after the movie Easy Rider,” explains Marvell. John was instrumental again in securing a record deal with MGM Records for the duo. John then went to work for Tone Record Distributors, a major record distributor out of Miami. He also worked as a booking agent for Buddy Lee Attractions in Nashville representing the likes of Hank Williams Jr, Willie Nelson, and Frank Sinatra Jr to name but a few. John's many years of experience has given him an in depth knowledge and understanding of the music business.
