Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Emanuele Salazar | Manuel María Daniel Francisco De Paula Salazar Zúñiga | Manuel Maria Daniel Francisco de Paula Salazar Zuniga. Luckily for us, the baby that was baptized with this incredibly long name is currently known as Melico Salazar. Melico is the most renown Costa Rican artist of all times. He was born in January 3, 1887, son of Nazorio Salazar and of Rafaela Zuniga. His house was located only a block away from the National Theater, which is why he's said to have been born under the awnings of the theater. In 1896 his family moved to Cartago, where they stayed for fourteen years. Melico had a prodigious talent for singing, and he took the train into San Jose every week in order to participate in the rehearsals of the choir in the Colegio Seminario. The young boy then enrolled in the Escuela Santa Cecilia de Musica, which was inaugurated in 1894 in order to replace the Escuela Nacional de Musica. The Santa Cecilia school boasted amazing professors and artists, such as Melico's mentor, Joaquin Vargas Calvo. Salazar's talent was so apparent to his teachers that they encouraged him to sing in several places and for many occasions. The first written praises of the young artist appeared in the newspaper "La Aurora" on december, 1904: "There has been a great revelation tonight for the audience. Seventeen year-old Tenor Manuel Salazar. His voice is potent and solid, worthy of all praise". After this and many other favorable reviews, Salazar's local fame expanded, taking him to all of the provinces to perform in churches and schools. This young artist's career wasn't meant to be limited to national praise, though. On February 6, 1907, twenty year-old Salazar traveled to Italy with a meager $84 in his pocket. Here he stayed in Milan, where he studied with important teachers such as Castegnaro and Conrado. After studying with Gala Moretti in 1911, his international triumphs began. In 1914 he met and married his wife, Angiolina Viassone Cantero, from Turin. Angiolina or Lina as he called her, was introduced to Melico by another singer and she became her husband's most ardent supporter. In theaters where nobody was allowed to remain backtsage, Lina would stand or sit through her husband's performance and hold a pitcher of coffee that he drank during breaks. During the 1910's and 1920's his international presentations increased, as did his fame and recognition. Salazar traveled with his wife and members of different operas to Cuba, Central America, Venezuela, Peru, Brazil, Mexico and North American cities. He also visited European cities such as Barcelona, Moscow, Leningrad, Riga and Berlin. Among Salazar's legendary performances are: the Inauguration of the Rodak theater in Rochester in 1922, his debut in the Metropolitan Opera of New York in 1924, and his participation in the Aida Opera performed in the Polo Ground in 1937. In 1937 Salazar was ready to return to Costa Rica. Melico Salazar's brilliant career was at its apogee or greatest height from 1917 to 1930. In 1940 however, the great tenor hardly performed, except for very special occasions and upon the request of important figures. Fortunately for Costa Rica and for all of its aspiring young singers, the National Conservatory was founded in 1941. Melico Salazar, who was and still is Costa Rica's greatest singer was stepping down, but new talents were rising , due mostly to the Conservatory's opening. In 1947, Melico Salazar announced his support to President Calderon Guardia, but since the latter lost in the Civil War of 1948, this cost the artist dearly. His pension was suspended by the Figueres government and Salazar wasn't supported economically or morally until many years later. After returning to San Jose (he had been living in Cartago), Melico Salazar Zuniga, the greatest Costa Rican singer of all times, died in poverty on August 6, 1950. The man who had received innumerable applause and praise in theaters from all over the world, wasn't appropriately honored by the Costa Rican government until 1972, when a statue of his was inaugurated in Cartago. Later, in 1979, a project was passed in order to name the old Teatro Raventos, Teatro Melico Salazar, a name which it still holds today. As is the case with most great artists, Melico had to wait until after his death to be remembered and to be immortalized. |

Search | Add | 2 | Beatles Cine Club | The Beatles Club | The official Japanese fan club of [a=The Beatles] was founded in 1966, when the band visited Japan for the first time. Originally it was named Beatles Study Group (ビートルズ研究会), but in 1967 the group changed its name to "Beatles Cine Club" (while organizing screening events for The Beatles movie in Japan). The Club also released a few very limited, memorabilia-style releases exclusively for its members, and they are listed under [l=Beatles Cine Club] label entry. Beatles Cine Club translated lyrics to some of The Beatles albums, and those translations were published in the booklets for Japanese CD editions, with full credits going to a fan club. They also publishes a monthly newsletter magazine, organizes tribute events and participates in many other translating, writing, researching and publishing activities dedicated to the Fab Four in Japan. Currently this organization is called simply The Beatles Club = ザ・ビートルズ・クラブ, and sometimes they are credited like that. Please, use the corresponding ANV for such credits. Even though the fan club is dubbed as "official", it is not endorsed or certified by [l=Apple Records] or other right holders. But they are known to be in close contacts with [a=Paul McCartney], [a=Yoko Ono] and other people from The Beatles camp through all these years. For example, since 2001 The Beatles Club held an annual charity concert Dream Power John Lennon Super Live and Ono supported and advocated for it. Contacts: P.O. Search | Add | 2 | OMBRA OBSCVRA | Jorge Gisbert Soler | OMBRA OBSCVRA began producing electronic music at the early age of 15 along with a group of friends. He has grown up in the middle of the era of VHS, cassette tapes and CD-ROM, and he has always experimented to try to find different sounds giving value to the failure and the error. A few years after he forged his hobby and it became a necessity, he began experimenting with ambient music and noise, embracing and alternating with other musical styles over time. His unfathomable influences could be summed up in artists such as Holy Other, Nosaj Thing, Balam Acab, Dame, Adapt, Shlohmo and Christian Löffler among others. His music is an environmental landscape evolution that travels between different styles, such as down tempo, dub, ambient and even IDM, all deformed and compacted under his personal and characteristic of vision, which wants to ‘touch’ something within those who listen to it. OMBRA OBSCVRA is a particularly evasive and private artist, valuing the mystery surrounding it as a byproduct of stage fright and an initial desire to keep the project anonymous for as long as possible. Despite having performed in various festivals under different pseudonyms and musical proposals. |

Search | Add | 2 | Hordearii | A nickname given to gladiators who fought for their freedom. A thing we still have to do this modern day. The music made by Hordearii can be identified as Death/Thrash metal from the heart of the Netherlands. Because of the broad musical taste of the bandmembers, there is a big variety of styles that can be heard throughout the songs. Different breaks are mixed with intense blastbeats on the drum, while the guitarists keep playing different fast riffs. This combination gives a modern sound, wearing a leather biker jacket.

Search | Add | 2 | Carroll Righter | Carroll Righter (February 2, 1900 – April 30, 1988) was known as the "astrologer to the stars." He wrote a syndicated daily advice column for 166 newspapers around the world and was reputed to be an advisor to Ronald and Nancy Reagan. Righter, who liked to be called the "gregarious Aquarius,' began doing charts for Hollywood notables in 1938 and became a columnist in 1950. Righter was mentioned in President Reagan's 1965 autobiography Where's The Rest Of Me? and, according to former White House Chief of Staff Donald T. Regan, Mrs. Reagan turned to astrologers to help determine the president's schedule.[1] Asked specifically whether he believed in astrology, President Reagan said, "I don't guide my life by it" but he added, "I don't know enough about it to say, is there something to it or not...and I don't mean to offend anyone who does believe in it, or engages in it." When Righter was asked in 1985 if he consulted with Ronald Reagan on astrology, he replied, "No comment." Righter claimed he warned Marlene Dietrich to avoid working on a studio set one day because she might get hurt. His advice was not heeded and Dietrich broke an ankle while reaching out to save a falling child. Word of the accident and Righter's advice led other celebrities to the astrologer's Hollywood doorstep, ensuring his fame. Among those who sought his advice were Arlene Dahl, Rhonda Fleming, Jane Withers, Hildegard Knef, Joan Fontaine and Grace Kelly. At one point in the late thirties the then-young Robert Mitchum worked as a ghost writer for Righter. Righter wrote several books, including Astrology and You, the Astrological Guide to Health and Diet, and the Astrological Guide to Marriage and Family Relations

Search | Add | 2 | Sunni Nash | Sunny Nash | Sunny Nash began a music career at age 15 when she met Houston’s KYOK radio celebrity and media personality, George Nelson, who presented her a scholarship for winning the Miss Texas High Contest in 1965; she was a sophomore in high school. For her talent competition, she sang a medley of the 1964 R&B hit, ”Every Little Bit Hurts,” and the 1954 jazz standard, “Misty.” During the summer of 1966, George Nelson booked Nash to sing jazz and blues live on KYOK broadcasts with the Conrad Johnson Orchestra at the El Dorado Ballroom and Ray Barnett's Cinder Club with John Roberts and the Hurricanes. Nash shared Houston stages with blued-eyed soul singer, Roy Head, and R&B teen group, Archie Bell & the Drells. After she graduated high school in 1967, KTSA radio celebrity, Ricci Ware, arranged for Nash to audition for Abe Epstein Enterprises in San Antonio as a studio musician, background vocalist and recording artist. In 1968, Abe Epstein released Nash's country blues recording, “I Am Nothing Without You,” written by Ricky "Güero Polkas" Davila, then a songwriter for Epstein Studios and also a DJ at San Antonio's KEDA Radio Jalapeno, the nation's only conjunto radio station. Dubbed “Miss Soulsational” by Epstein, Nash was a Gulf Coast sensation from Texas to Florida singing a mix of blues, country and Tejano music. Nash went back to Houston in 1969 and got studio work writing, arranging and laying tracks, and singing in local nightclubs, and performing on ABC's "Dialing for Dollars," accompanied on piano by Paul Schmidtt. In 1972, Brunswick Records signed Nash as a studio musician, songwriter and recording artist. With Curtis Mayfield’s Super Fly soundtrack trio, headed by drummer, Quinton Joseph, Nash co-wrote and recorded “The 3rd Movement,” which now has a new generation of worldwide cult followers of old-school deep funk. After graduating from Texas A&M University in 1977, Nash was a vocalist, keyboardist, percussionist and dancer with Johnny Nash’s 1978 “I Can See Clearly Now” tour of the British Isles. Nash worked with Odell Brown, Marvin Gaye’s music director and songwriting partner of “Let’s Get It On.” In 1990, Nash wrote, produced and scored a University of Texas film, “We Have Something To Say,” nominated for a Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award. The film’s theme song won Nash a People’s Choice Nomination for Best Song for a Sammy Davis Songwriting Award. Currently, Nash is producing a catalogue of her original, previously unpublished songs, some arranged by Terry Battle, including "Nothing Really Wrong," now on SoundCloud |
