Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | James William Blades | James William Blades is a composer, producer and sound artist whose work includes a wide range of productions across film, art exhibitions, documentaries, sound installations, theatre and fashion. James’ work fuse’s original composition with soundscapes, creating textural and detailed productions that aim to develop sonic narratives. Exploring the use of timbre, harmony and musical aesthetic’s, James looks to reshape the line between music and sound, and to try and establish sonic landscapes that create new moods and convey new meanings. In 2019 James collaborated with visual artist Sam Cannon, composing the soundtrack to the immersive experience, Forest Bath at Life Is Beautiful in Las Vegas. He also scored the music to Billy Gerard Frank film, 2nd Eulogy: Mind The Gap produced by Lauren Beck and was installed at the Venice Biennale In 2018 he was commissioned by the Victoria & Albert Museum in London to produce sound installations for three spaces across the museum, titled Threads, Resonances & Reconstruct. These pieces explored the way in which physical objects communicate with sound and music. Continuing his exploration with music, sound and space in March 2019, James composed soundscapes for Theaster Gates’ Amalgam exhibition at the Palais De Tokyo, Paris. James composed the soundscape score and additional music for Mercury Award winning Sampha’s film Process, directed by Kahlil Joseph. James continued collaborating with Joseph, working on Black Mary and Flypaper, which have been shown in the Tate Modern in London, New York’s New Museum and MOCA in Los Angeles. James was invited to Thread, an artist residency in Senegal run by the Josef & Anni Albers Foundation. There he worked producing music with musicians and recording music for fashion designer Grace Wales Bonner. Search | Add | 2 | Marcus Keef | Keith Stuart MacMillan | Marcus Keef is a pseudonym. His real name is Keith Stuart MacMillan (b. 1947). He changed his professional name to ‘Marcus Keef’ to avoid any clash or confusion with the slightly older and established photographer Keith Lionel McMillan (b. 16 April 1934, d. 22 March 2012, aged 77). The younger MacMillan obviously decided that a pseudonym would avoid any potential work issues and ‘Keef’ is an obvious take on the Rolling Stones Keith ‘Keef’ Richards, whilst the ‘Marcus’ aspect is of unknown origin. He seems to have started his career around 1968, working predominantly with Vertigo, RCA (Neon) and CBS labels. |

Search | Add | 2 | Ka$h 3 Embassy | Rap trio hailing from Atlanta, Georgia. Each music genre has a sound, a flavor an essence that makes it uniquely wonderful. Ka$h 3 is hip-hop music at it's best. This group of three, Khash,Tangoh, and N-Trigue, have been making music together since 1994. In that time, the seasoned music veterans have honed a sound that recalls the essence of hip-hop. Born out of lack, hip-hop was an outlet of expression for young African Americans. The expression was sometimes political and socially motivated, a means of providing resistance and a conscious voice to the struggles of an oppressed socio-economic class. The expression was sometimes fun and joyous, an escapist's genre providing a glimpse into the highlife and good times of African American life. Ka$h 3's music is quintessentially hip-hop. They have married the light and the dark, the ups and downs, the triumphs and the tribulations. They're the best hip-hop has to offer in one group of three. | |

Alan was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland in the sixties, trained as an engineer and started work in project management in the energy industry in the seventies. Working in this industry has meant that alan and his family have had to travel the world and live in many locations. Home is now perth, Western Australia, but he lives and works in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His photography is taken to another level and becomes more artwork than simple image capture. Alan describes it as trying to recreate what he actually sees in his mind when taking the photograph. Always a lover of digital art and image manipulation. Alan comes from a expressive, diverse and esoteric background of music, photography and digital arts influenced and guided by his father and his younger brother, [a416887], a pioneering electronic music and video artist as one half of [a2549] and [a2263]. Alan also featured as part of the perth based audio-visual band [a966460] taking up the visual duties alongside James on sounds. Alan's plan is to pursue image creation as a full-time career and already has one book published and is currently working on a second. Alan has exhibited several times in Delhi, India, and twice in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Alan is married to Carole with two children, Laura and Craig. |
