Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 7 | Wind Fire | Progressive psychedelic trance duo project based in São Paulo , Brazil Wind Fire is a Progressive and Psytrance project created in September 2012 by duo 'Kromah' and 'Patrícia Leal', who live in São Paulo, Brazil. The duo tends to Progressive Trance, Psychedelic Progressive, Modern Progressive Trance and Progressive House. Innovation is the foundation of Wind Fire's work, its presentations are done in the LiveSet format, always joining a good mix with a variation of basslines containing a lot of groove and remarkable synths, thus making a good story. With over 12 years of experience as a dj player, Kromah has already gone through various national clubs and parties such as Pacha, Eazy, Clash, Club A, Privilege (Buzios), Mermaid, Hot Hot, Ice Club, Chameleon Resident), Eivissa, Club Nud at the Sirius parties, Summer Sessions,, Psy 4 Friends (Resident), World Oz Festival, Psyzone Festival, Trancendence, High Waterfall, among others. Over time, Kromah met Patricia and for the same affinities and musical tastes, they decided to form the project, which would become something that really made sense to their lives. They already have a considerable number of songs, being sold in all virtual stores of the world, by the labels Solid Recording, Ibiza Dance Music, InTrance, PanMusic. The time passed and with the evolution of their work, were invited in April 2015 by the label Plusquam Records one of the world's top seals create a new EP that will be called Evolution Continues, and thus joining great names such as Zyze, Hi Profile, Flegma, Liquid Sound, Fatali, Echoteck, Solaris Vibe, Sunstryk and others. Wind Fire was created by the meaning of 'Wind' as Wind being Patrícia Leal and 'Fire' as Fire being Kromah. These are elements that bring a symbology of greater energetic foundations to what the duo of artists believe. It is worth mentioning that the productions of the Wind Fire project are elaborated jointly by the duo and not only with the presence of a producer. Just as the Live presentation will be done only by the two components, not just by an artist!

Search | Add | 7 | The Ex-Bombers | The Ex-Bombers are a sinister psychedelic blues duo who play suspiciously resonant songs harnessing the thunder of electric 8-string bass and drums, a pair of wrecking ball voices, and a delightful kaleidoscope perspective of a world on fire. Since 2010 they have been amassing a cult following through their scintillating live shows and five electrifying vinyl releases on Cavetone Records. Thee Story: “Can you hear my heart beat? Whisper in my ear.” Each breath brings with it a shared collective consciousness until, hesitation... it skips a beat. Electricity charges the moment with its velvet touch and The Ex-Bombers begin the sonic ritual with an electric 8 string bass, a small drum set, and a unique blues-meets-garage-meets-jazz dual vocal attack. Their songs are both timely and timeless. The Ex-Bombers promotional photo complete with leather, cat print, and plastic wrap " A sinister extension of the late 60s sound, the pair would have been the house band for the leather club across from the Fillmore West. Think Grace Slick and Lou Reed took over The Doors, add the verve of first-wave garage psych (ex: Music Machine, Chocolate Watchband, Shadows of Knight), and stir in some of the most clever songwriting ever committed to wax. Primal pop hooks, unforgettable frenetic performances, and the type of honesty that only a funhouse mirror can provide. The Ex-Bombers have been a cult band in the making since their debut in a “venue” called the Snake Pit (a townhouse garage) back in 2010 where the decidedly non-punk pair dressed in all black ripped out a set of scintillating originals, perverted versions of covers, and let a pre-recorded VHS tape take the place of banter between songs. Everyone became lost in a shared moment. Curious looks turned to dedicated followers. Since that show, M. Keri Cousins (drums) and S.M. Nancy Walus (bass) have played anywhere with a power outlet on some of the biggest and the smallest stages at clubs, bars, breweries, art spaces, and even three weddings (Catholic, Pagan, and non-denominational for those keeping track). Along the way, they put out five vinyl releases on Cavetone Records that have been met with adulation and intrigue. The releases include multiple long players (“The Tightwire” [2012] / “Five Star Night” [2015] / “New Love Is Easy” [2021]) and 7” releases (Anti-single [2013] / Original Halloween tune [2018]) all recorded completely analog in the spirit of 1967 complete with the crazy concept of playing the songs live / together in a singular take. Known for the production of their albums, the pair have also been the invisible hands that have produced countless other bands' records. The Ex-Bombers continue to dedicate themselves to the craft of being musicians, chasing sounds, and writing songs that describe a kaleidoscope existence that is anything but vanilla.

Search | Add | 7 | Århus Musikkontor | Århus Musikkontor (often spelled Aarhus Musikkontor and sometimes with musikernes egen booking appended to the name) was a Danish booking and management agency located in Aarhus and operating under this name from 1976 to 2004, when it was renamed to [a=Skandinavian]. History In 1973, eight Aarhus bands got together and set up their own alternative booking agency, [a=Musikernes Kontakt], where they booked jobs for themselves and each other. In 1976 Musikernes Kontakt was transformed into Århus Musikkontor and employed [a=Sven Gaul] of [a=Taurus (22)] as daily manager. From 1976 to 1982 Århus Musikkontor was located on the first floor of the original "Musikernes Hus - [l=Vestergade 58]”. In December 1978, after the transformation into Århus Musikkontor, the agency consisted of twelve bands/owners: [a=Shit & Chanel], [a=Djursland Spillemænd], [a=Kræn Bysted], [a=Big Joe Band], [a=Ballast (2)], Hokus Poulsen, Hus Band, [a=Luna (44)], Minas, Solaris, [a=Taurus (22)] and [a=Baldur (5)]. The daily work in the office was handled by [a=Sven Gaul], [a=Lone Poulsen] (from [a=Shit & Chanel]) and [a=Ulla Berg Andersen] (from [a=Folkstow]), who also made booking agreements for 70-80 other Danish groups and soloists including well-known names such as [a=Papa Bue], [a=C. V. Jørgensen], [a=Secret Oyster], [a=Gnags], [a=Gasolin'], [a=Skousen & Ingemann], [a=Trille], [a=Sebastian (5)], [a=Benny Holst] and [a=Arne Würgler]. The idea of a musician-driven booking agency quickly caught on in other Danish cities, and by 1980 several sister agencies had appeared in Copenhagen (see [a=Københavns Musikkontor]), Aalborg (see [a=Aalborg Musikkontor]), Odense, (see [a=Odense Musikkontor]) and Esbjerg. The Musikkontor agencies joined together in a national organization, Samarbejdsudvalget for De Danske Musikkontorer (DDM), which set up a secretariat in Copenhagen led by the former booker in Aarhus Musikkontor (and musician in Folkstow), [a=Flemming Madsen (3)], and, among other initiatives, launched a national transport support scheme and published the magazine "Rytmetryk". However, in Aarhus it soon became apparent that the amount of paperwork and the requirement for fixed telephone time did not fit in well with life as a touring musician. For this reason, in 1982, the Aarhus board decided to professionalize the enterprise and on 1 September a young [a=Bo Andersen (4)] was hired (with a commission salary) to manage the office with 100% free powers. Soon after, Bo Andersen took the initiative to move from the Vestergade 58 location to a more quiet address at Borgporten and employed his friend [a=Stener Nielsen]. While Århus Musikkontor continued to grow, De Danske Musikkontorer closed in the late 1980's together with other Musikkontor agencies. Around 1988, Århus Musikkontor entered the management area and acted as artistic and business advisor for artists like [a=tv-2], [a=Lars H.U.G.], [a=Poul Krebs], [a=Michael Falch], [a=Fielfraz] and [a=Dicte] (see [a=World Perfect]), and by the 1990's it was one of the three major booking companies in Denmark. In 1999, the agency together with [a=tv-2] launched their own record company [l=Pladeselskabet Have A Cigar] with the intention to support and promote upcoming Danish artists. In 2004, [a=Brian Nielsen (5)], previously manager at [a=The Agency Group, Malmö] joined forces with Århus Musikkontor and it was renamed to [a=Skandinavian] in order to increase the international appeal. Search | Add | 7 | Cpyridon | Spyridon Politis - Σπυρίδων Πολίτης | Cpyridon (pronounced: spee-ree-don) is the professional musical alias of Spyridon Politis; an independent singer, composer, and record producer. Born in Athens, he made his debut as a solo artist in 2016 through his four-track EP, ‘I’. The next five years produced a memorable series of singles for the artist. Those are Ineni, Will You Love Again and Those Nights. Life has always been full of music for Cpyridon. He began this journey at a very young age, performing folk music alongside a variety of ensembles. His interest in rock and heavy metal music began to form in his teenage years, which led to his involvement in the Athenian underground club scene. Some of his work in this era has survived through the single, ‘My Enemy’ from one of his former bands, My 3nemy. That particular track started his journey as a music producer and audio engineer. At just 18, he crossed the Atlantic Ocean to Toronto, Canada to pursue his musical aspirations. In his newfound hometown, he took part in the underground Rock scene as a singer and continued to sharpen his craft. Yet, a newfound love for Opera soon prevailed. So, he studied voice at the Royal Conservatory of Music under maestro William Perry. After many fruitful years in Canada, Cpyridon returned to his native Greece. This is where he established SunBoat Records. From then on, he has been releasing music and is eager to keep moving onward to more musical adventures. |

Search | Add | 7 | Gamma Men | Steve Gardner, Tom Gallego, Jim Grind, Don Simmons, Darrin Berlin, Dave Elizondo, Gary Meyer | The Gamma Men started in the spring of 1991. The band was more or less founded by Steve Gardner, who is probably best known as the editor of the fanzine Noise For Heroes, a magazine that ran from the early 80s until 1992 and covered punk, garage and power pop bands from around the world. Steve had previously played drums in the band Feeding Frenzy, which included a couple friends he worked with and his ex-wife on bass. Feeding Frenzy played a lot of punk rock standards as well as a whole batch of covers of late 80s Australian and European bands, and a fair number of their own songs. The band split up when Steve and his wife got divorced. After that, he tried out for a few bands but quickly decided that if he was going to be in a band that he was really going to like, he had better try to organize it himself rather than join something already going. more at URL |

Search | Add | 7 | Giuseppe Chelo | GIUSEPPE CHELO (Singer of Sardinian folklore). Born in Sassari in 1938, Giuseppe Chelo is still considered Osilese, as his origins are from Osilo, precisely from the district of San Lorenzo. After a period of careful and passionate apprenticeship, during which he listened to numerous established singers, Giuseppe Chelo happily made his debut at Cargeghe in 1958, along with Chiccheddu Mannoni and guitarist Adolfo Merella. After the official debut at Cargeghe, Giuseppe Chelo performed in Narbolia, this time together with Antonio Nuvoli and guitarist Nicolino Cabizza. But his usual companion became Tonino Canu, as the harmony between the two was as natural as it was perfect, and the performances benefited visibly. They basically represented two rather different ways of singing, but perhaps for this reason the evenings were enriched, brighter and above all interesting for the audience that followed them with great attention and renewed passion. The record production of Giuseppe Chelo is rich and of quality, with considerable public acclaim, which contributed to its success in most of the squares of Sardinia. His performances have landed in Italy and abroad, with great success, as in Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Montecarlo and in other European and Italian cities. We recall that like Terzetto Sardinian, together with Canu and Fara, he recorded several records with the Italian RCA, in Rome. With the name of Duetto Logudorese, together with the guitarist Pietro Fara, he then recorded some tracks on 45 rpm, always in the Italian RCA studios. Among these, the piece entitled "Mi giamana a soldadu", which turned out to be completely popular even with the youngest, was particularly successful. In addition to those just mentioned, the most important recordings concern an LP, produced by UP in Rome, called "The new company of the Sardinian song", recorded together with the cantadore Mario Firinaiu, the guitarist Aldo Cabizza and the accordionist Peppino Pippia; also, "Canzoni fra i nuraghi", produced by Aedo, recorded with Pietro Fara and Peppino Pippia; finally, "Cantos traditionales sardos", produced by the publisher Solinas, accompanied by Antonio Marongiu and Peppino Pippia. Giuseppe Chelo ended his prestigious career in 1989, after 33 years of intense activity. His performances are currently limited to very few occasions, such as special occasions and celebrations and commemorations of other artists. And also on these occasions his talent, certainly among the greatest of the Sardinian guitar song, returns visible and still appreciated. Info: http://www.cantosardoachitarra.it

Search | Add | 7 | Richard Groove | Gabriel Madrid | Since the 90's, Gabriel Madrid aka Richard Groove has been influenced with Hip Pop and Rap music, but through a small change of artists like Orbital and Kraftwerk, it gave him a small path to come other bunch of artists like Thomas Bangalter and Laurent Garnier that made him go to more urban sounds where the French and Disco House will mark him for life. This gave him the decision of becoming a dj and play this kind of music to the under side of the scene in Santiago ( Chile ) and using the dj nick " Daft Groove ". Through more homemade parties Gabriel starts to show the house genre with good results, but after contacting people in the Santiago's scene it gives him the oportunity to play at a real club with a good crowd as it was the " Bar Forestal " club. That's how his disc jokey work starts and where it comes more different oportunities to play in knowable clubs as "Cresta Negra" ( Rancagua ), " Punta De Lobos " ( Pichilemu ), " Pagano " ( Valparaiso ) y tambien tocar en eventos masivos como "Urban Rave " ( 2003 - 2004 - 2005 ), "Musica Desde El Oriente " ( 2008 ), Gay Parade Chile ( 2008 - 2009 - 2010 - 2011 ). Though his music creation didn't started until 2006 and it follows as a long process until 2010 where his sound production starting to really get well done and with mayor influences like Daft Punk, High Caliber, DJ Sneak and others. With a lot of work and much promotion, Richard Groove gave his first single called " Banged " and with this he signed more than one contract inside and outside of Chile, labels like Sugar Shock Digital ( USA ) and Agua y Sed ( Chile ). Gabriel continues to produce music as he still gives his mark as a dj in the chilean club's dancefloors. |

Search | Add | 7 | Litia~Loe | Litia~Loe: Life In The Insane Asylum = Life On Earth LITIA=LOE (Life In The Insane Asylum = Life On Earth) formed in Chicago amidst the burgeoning house movement of the 80’s. Leon Williams, Daryl Wilson, and brothers Grant and Simeon Rogers would meet up every weekend to soak up the sounds at local clubs like Music Box, Medusa, The PowerPlant, The Warehouse, and Frankie Knuckles’ Dance Palace, where DJs would mix everything from disco to new wave, industrial to house music. After the clubs closed, they would retreat to Leon’s basement to experiment with synths, inspired by what they had just witnessed at the clubs. Wired with excitement, they would stay up all-night, jamming and sequencing beats together late into the next afternoon. Simeon was the technician of the group, programming drums, layering sounds, and finding the right synth textures. Leon was the creative wild card, coming up with conscious lyrics and vocal melodies and tweaking the sounds to be more expansive. Grant kept things anchored in song, composing and coming up with structures. Daryl helped compose a lot of the unreleased songs and was a great arranger and bass player, but decided to leave the band for personal reasons. With a Tascam 8-track Portastudio, the group would cut rough tape mixes of their tunes to share with friends who would DJ the demos around town. Influenced by groups like Nitzer Ebb, Bauhaus and Chris & Cosey, they came up with a track heavy with distortion and feedback. A tape of that track started circulating around the clubs, and legend has it that Lil Louis liked it so much he claimed it as his own. Realizing that competition was fierce in the DJ world, they decided to cut a record next time so they could lay claim to their work. This led to the release of Each Dawn Every Dawn, released on their own Facade label in 1989. The group distributed the record themselves, handing them out at clubs, and dropping them off at local shops and record pools. At the time, the record barely made it out of Chicago, but the group did have a few chances at notoriety. Once with Rocky Jones of D.J. International Records who offered a “Blood contract” for joining the label. The group declined. In the mid 90’s they had an opportunity to open three nights with Living Colour, but the night before, one of the keyboardists got stage fright and they had to bail on the gigs.

Search | Add | 7 | Peter Shambrook | Australian folk-pop singer Pete Shambrook failed to attract much attention in the United States, despite three impressive albums in the early 1990s. Almost nothing was ever written about him in the usual media, except a positive review of his album Love Unseen in CCM. Rick Elias produced his debut project, and Shambrook toured America as the opening act for Elias and headliner Margaret Becker. Love Unseen was produced by music veteran Paul Clark. It opens with what would become Shambrook's best-known song, a straighforward rock number called "I Believe in You." Love Unseen also includes a cover of Van Morrison's "Whenever God Shines His Light." Then Shambrook resurfaced with another album on the Maranatha! label at the end of the decade. By then, he was serving as college pastor of Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Newport Beach, California. Peter has also sung on a number of other Maranatha! projects, including those associated with Promise Keepers.

Search | Add | 7 | Galaxy Unit | Zdravko Minev (In Cyril. Здравко Минев) | Galaxy Unit is a Goa Trance side project by Zdravko Minev - a member of the legendary thrash legend Crash, conquering the top of the Bulgarian extreme scene in the early 90s. Zdravko discovers a new vocation - the computers and it fundamentally alters his musical destiny. He is completely devoted to digital activities and although this is still a very exotic way to make music back in the days in Bulgaria, he encounters total empathy. Alongside with his most successful industrial project that follows - Alien Industry, where he plays one of the guitars and adds unique electronic flavors, he is also the beginning of another emblematic for the Bulgarian club and underground scene names – R.O.B.T.F. Although, the band becoming popular later with the unique Drum ‘n’ Bass progression session style in a couple of albums and many live performances, R.O.B.T.F. actually started in the mid-1990s in Zdravko’s living room. He was recording & mixing mad-ramping acid and goa influenced patterns, layered over an earth-pumping old-school analog beat. This “electronic amok” and the album release occasionally by a friend will become later the characteristic for the 1990s Bulgarian tech trance style that will influence other Bulgarian artists to come like Тибетски Сърца (Tibetan Hearts, etc.) and will overheat dancefloors for years. In late 2010s Zdravko’s curiosity and eagerness to experiment further with Goa Trance returned to the source and he started producing again under the name of Galaxy Unit when spotted and hunted out by the Bulgarian thematic label Goa Galaxy. Better is yet to come as the artist is still active in 2017. |

Search | Add | 7 | Maxwell Street Klezmer Band | The Maxwell Street marketplace was to Chicago what the Lower East Side was to New York. At the turn of the century, when the first major wave of Russian Jewish immigrants settled in America, Chicago's Maxwell Street became famous for its open-air Sunday marketplace crowded with Jewish pushcart-peddlers--an institution which has survived in the hands of fresh waves of immigration. The band was named in tribute to the spirit of Chicago's early immigrants. In 1983, Lori Lippitz founded the Maxwell Street Klezmer Band. In the years since, Maxwell Street has become the Midwest's most popular klezmer band, touring numerous times in Europe and performing throughout the U.S. including Carnegie Hall. Audiences of all backgrounds are delighted by Maxwell Street's high-energy performances that glow with warmth and humor. Our Performances have been staged across America and Europe. In 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2007 and 2009, the band performed concerts across Europe including in Germany, London, Munich, Vienna, Amsterdam, Enschede and The Hague. In 1998, the band gave their debut performance at Carnegie Hall and at New York's Damrosch Park at Lincoln Center. Maxwell Street has appeared on the PBS program "World Stage Chicago" in 1995, and was featured again on Public Television's "Artbeat Chicago" in March 1999. One of their songs was featured in an episode of ABC's "Saving Grace." Maxwell Street has been featured annually on Network Chicago's (PBS) "Do It Yourself Hanukkah" television special. Maxwell Street received the "Best Jewish Album" Award in 2004 in the Independent Music Just Plain Folks Awards. The band has recorded five CDs. Their 2008 release, "Eight Nights of Joy", features Hanukkah music with singer-songwriter Rabbi Joe Black. For more information about the band call or write: Lori Lippitz, 4025 Harvard Terrace, Skokie, IL 60076. Phone: 847-675-4800 Fax: 847-675-4880 E-mail: maxwellst@aol.com
