Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 7 | Danyb | Danilo Braca | Italian DJ and producer based in Brooklyn, NY Music has always been a major part of the life of Danilo Braca aka danyb. His father was an avid record collector as well as a collector of vintage musical gear, an obvious influence on Danilo’s choice of career path. This exposure led Danilo to build his own music collection very early on. He started playing at parties around Italy in 1986, at the age of 13, just around the time of the burgeoning popularity of house music. While pursuing a career as a DJ, Danilo became highly skilled in the field of Sound Engineering and Music Production, working around recording studios in Rome until he decided to move to New York City in 2012. Having reached the city with the musical heritage that influenced him the most, he founded The Sound of New York City, a web radio station and recording studio where his activities range from music production to sound postproduction. In the last year, Danilo also created 2 record labels and released 5 EP that caught many ears in the underground community. His style as a DJ has remained very eclectic with the ability to blend Afro-disco, synth pop, Italo Cosmic, Garage House, Disco, Prog-Rock, Chicago Old School House and Philly vibes all in one set. 2018 promises to include many releases with an original solo project in progress remixed by Ashley Beedle, DJ Nature, The Revenge, DJ Spinna, DJ Rocca, and Radius etc |

As a teenager, Fred played in Draganic Tamburitzan Orchestra which was comprised of his brother Jim, Vinko Prezgay, John Krizancic and Emmeric Bennett. He studied for three years with Mr. George Genson the principal trumpet player in the New Orleans Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. Upon receiving the John Phillip Sousa award for outstanding bandsman, under the direction of Ernest G. Chachere, "HACK" Bartholomew attended Grambling State University on a full music scholarship. After serving in the U.S. Air Force Band in Tocoma, Washington, Hack returned to New Orleans and toured with Joe Simon's band. He then moved to New York City and his first band consisted of two unknown musicians, Niles Rogers and Bernard Edwards who later became the producers and leaders of the the 70s band 'Chic'. Niles is known to say, "Hack hooked us up." After 14-years in NYC. He moved back to New Orleans, to his roots in gospel music. Post Hurricane Katrina, where although his house was saved, his church was destroyed, he could often be found playing gospel songs outside Cafe Du Mondo in the French Quarter. He is a member of United Fellowship Full Gospel Baptist Church in New Orleans where he plays trumpet when he can. As of February 2023 he was actively recoding new material.

Search | Add | 7 | Lowball Jack | Jack Friederichsen | It all started with a fascination for rare records located deep in Texas pawnshop cut out bins. It came together one late afternoon at a back o’ town chicken ‘n’ whatever joint called Ludie Mae’s. A knife-wielding patron jumped into the open door of a long, black, early ’70′s oldsmobile. He was looking for cash and trouble. He demanded to know what the hell was on the numerous crazy-looking, home-brewed cassette tapes scattered across the dashboard. His shiny blade waved and danced all around the front seat. The front door of the joint busted open. A man in dark glasses and long dreadlocks came out walking fast with a cocked revolver in his hand. Gold teeth gleamed as he ordered the problem patron out of the car. With a quick gesture, two of Mr. Johnson’s boys hauled the freak out the window, and tossed him hard into the road. Mr. Johnson explained that life was bad for everyone, but this was his place. Something had to be done. He spoke with the cool and poise of a shaman as he slid his piece back into his waistband. All this took place in slow motion while throbalicious, deep fried grooves pulsated across the chicken shack’s rough gravel parking lot with a tremendous low-end thump. The world seemed… full of possibility. Some of it… even good. LOWBALL JACK (a.k.a. Jack Sprat), [Deceased and we are eternally bummed but so happy to have made music and history together] soaked up the heavy beats and twangy accents emanating from his native Texas/Louisiana border, and rode them all the way to the Big Nipple. He’s screwed lids on bleach bottles, hawked snake oil to rich people, managed some folk’s fortunes and other’s addictions to take the listener on journeys ranging from trip hop to monster fuzz to the cosmic American funk of “ALL JONES NO BUZZ“, “URBAN NOISE DIRTY POISON“, “PHOTO NEGATIVE“, and “BUG“. His fresh new EP, “UNDERBELLY” is covered with illicit downtown dirt. You can also find Jack playing guitar and co-producing Thirsty artists WITHERIN’ JOHNSON (“AND THE HORSE YOU RODE IN ON”), PARTY APES (“ERASE YOUR TAPES“) and LOS CONFABULATORS (“‘SUP “). He co-produced KELVYN BELL‘s ridiculously funky new “CUBED ROOT CURE” as well as the stripped down “ST. LOUIS BLU: KELVYN BELL PLAYS ACOUSTIC GUITAR” and the avant electric jazz monsterpiece, “FUNK 4 WHA CHA KNOW“. Jack also produced QUEEN ESTHER‘s acclaimed debut slice of Black Americana, “TALKIN’ FISHBOWL BLUES“. Follow LOWBALL JACK on SoundCloud Contact: information@thirstyrecords.com |

In the '00s, Astley founded Rain over Bouville, a poetry press, and was a member of the much-loved noise-rock group Sextodecimo (Oxford's greatest ever metal band, according to the local press). He has since graduated with Distinction from degrees at Ruskin College and the University of Oxford, and his poetry has appeared in a range of British and North American publications. His 2014 pamphlet 'Stones through the Windows to the Soul' is downloadable from this site. In 2010, Astley's short-lived gothic americana quartet Huck & The Handsome Fee embarked on a US tour that would inspire his three-part narrative album 'Alexander the Great: a Folk Operetta', which he describes as "A queer runaway myth of two young friends and their fall from grace in Dixie." Then, in 2013, Huck & The Xander Band partnered with PinDrop Music and adapted 'Alexander the Great' into a stage-show, which was hand-picked by The PRS Foundation for their New Music Plus development scheme. The show debuted at The Cambridge Junction in 2014 and has since been described as "Raw and powerful... an impressive display of visual flair and mesmerising songwriting." His debut release was 2003’s “Psik Theme/Flaccid Acid”, and he can regularly be found manning the decks in a variety of clubs. When not sat in front of a computer trying to make the bass just a little bit fatter, Tom can mostly be found slinging ink at his London studio under the name of T O M M Y F I E N D I S H,( www.tommyfiendish.moonfruit.com ) stroking kittens and painting from a fertile and twisted imagination. |

Search | Add | 7 | Stuart M | Stuart Moir | Stuart started out DJing in the 90s playing happy hardcore. Picking up his first set of belt driven Citronic turntables when he was just 16 years old before quickly moving on to Soundlab DLP3R direct Drive turntables. Stuart has been involved with the hard house scene since 2001 in various capacities; a DJ, producer and promoter and a web/graphic designer for many record labels… Vicious Circle, Energy UK, Deprivation, Passion, Short Circuit, Toolbox + more. Around 2007 he took some time out of the scene to concentrate on his business, however, he still had some slight involvement even from afar due to involvement with Toolbox Digital Shop and Moreonthedoor. Stuart has played at events such as Goodgreef, Insomniacz, Parlez vous, I LOVE VC, Rush, Detox as well as some older brands you may not remember Exodus, Toast, Native, Ground Zero, Binary amongst others! As a promoter, Stuart was one of the original promoters of Manchester’s longest-running hard house night Sin:ergy – originally every Friday @ Club Pehonix, Sin:ergy also put on a hardcore crossover night called Bonkas and hosted a boat party/rave in a castle. After Sinergy he started a night called PureFilth! The event started as monthly Thursday night and quickly progressed to a monthly Saturday. They also started a monthly student night called Filthy Thursdays. PureFilth! was the only club night in the north that concentrated on the harder side of hard house, in its day PureFilth! had a hardcore following putting on events packed with DJs with the 1st birthday being a highlight. A massive 20 hour, 2 venues, 15 DJs, an all-night party with artists like Captain Tinrib, Paul Glazby, Energy UK DJs, JP& Jukesy, Ben Stevens, Nik Denton Casper, Dave Owens Cally Gage & more. Stuart was also one of the original founders of Goodgreef’s official afterparty Early Doors and was one of the 3 promoters of an annual Cancer Research UK event @ The Sanctuary in Birmingham. Currently, Stuart is the main man @ Manchester-based Hard Dance club night Resurrection. Search | Add | 7 | Cpyridon | Spyridon Politis - Σπυρίδων Πολίτης | Cpyridon (pronounced: spee-ree-don) is the professional musical alias of Spyridon Politis; an independent singer, composer, and record producer. Born in Athens, he made his debut as a solo artist in 2016 through his four-track EP, ‘I’. The next five years produced a memorable series of singles for the artist. Those are Ineni, Will You Love Again and Those Nights. Life has always been full of music for Cpyridon. He began this journey at a very young age, performing folk music alongside a variety of ensembles. His interest in rock and heavy metal music began to form in his teenage years, which led to his involvement in the Athenian underground club scene. Some of his work in this era has survived through the single, ‘My Enemy’ from one of his former bands, My 3nemy. That particular track started his journey as a music producer and audio engineer. At just 18, he crossed the Atlantic Ocean to Toronto, Canada to pursue his musical aspirations. In his newfound hometown, he took part in the underground Rock scene as a singer and continued to sharpen his craft. Yet, a newfound love for Opera soon prevailed. So, he studied voice at the Royal Conservatory of Music under maestro William Perry. After many fruitful years in Canada, Cpyridon returned to his native Greece. This is where he established SunBoat Records. From then on, he has been releasing music and is eager to keep moving onward to more musical adventures. |

Search | Add | 7 | Litia~Loe | Litia~Loe: Life In The Insane Asylum = Life On Earth LITIA=LOE (Life In The Insane Asylum = Life On Earth) formed in Chicago amidst the burgeoning house movement of the 80’s. Leon Williams, Daryl Wilson, and brothers Grant and Simeon Rogers would meet up every weekend to soak up the sounds at local clubs like Music Box, Medusa, The PowerPlant, The Warehouse, and Frankie Knuckles’ Dance Palace, where DJs would mix everything from disco to new wave, industrial to house music. After the clubs closed, they would retreat to Leon’s basement to experiment with synths, inspired by what they had just witnessed at the clubs. Wired with excitement, they would stay up all-night, jamming and sequencing beats together late into the next afternoon. Simeon was the technician of the group, programming drums, layering sounds, and finding the right synth textures. Leon was the creative wild card, coming up with conscious lyrics and vocal melodies and tweaking the sounds to be more expansive. Grant kept things anchored in song, composing and coming up with structures. Daryl helped compose a lot of the unreleased songs and was a great arranger and bass player, but decided to leave the band for personal reasons. With a Tascam 8-track Portastudio, the group would cut rough tape mixes of their tunes to share with friends who would DJ the demos around town. Influenced by groups like Nitzer Ebb, Bauhaus and Chris & Cosey, they came up with a track heavy with distortion and feedback. A tape of that track started circulating around the clubs, and legend has it that Lil Louis liked it so much he claimed it as his own. Realizing that competition was fierce in the DJ world, they decided to cut a record next time so they could lay claim to their work. This led to the release of Each Dawn Every Dawn, released on their own Facade label in 1989. The group distributed the record themselves, handing them out at clubs, and dropping them off at local shops and record pools. At the time, the record barely made it out of Chicago, but the group did have a few chances at notoriety. Once with Rocky Jones of D.J. International Records who offered a “Blood contract” for joining the label. The group declined. In the mid 90’s they had an opportunity to open three nights with Living Colour, but the night before, one of the keyboardists got stage fright and they had to bail on the gigs.

Search | Add | 7 | Orquesta 11 De Octubre | One of the best orchestras in Panama was on October 11, which was integrated with a selection of musicians from our armed institute. The 11 de Octubre orchestra was financed by the National Guard and in its early years it was destined for charitable functions. The director of this orchestra was Captain Víctor M. Paz, who in the fifties directed, with his brother Vitín, the orchestra of the Paz Brothers. The first foreign artist who recorded with October 11 was the restless Anacober Daniel Santos. Daniel recorded a full-length album with songs that today are valuable pieces for record collectors. Even, he himself intervened in the arrangements. The 11 de Octubre orchestra performed in Cuba, Venezuela and other countries of the Caribbean basin. He recorded another LP titled "Soberanía" where they sing Felipe Carrasco and the other vocalists of the orchestra. They imposed a musical style and one of their record successes was "Palomita Titibú". The National Guard had other musical groups as the group The Return and the Second Battalion that also reached popularity.
