Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 7 | Hans Funk | Hans Finkenzwitschl | Hans Finkenzwitschl was born in 1955 in the tranquil little town of Bad Gams in Styria. At the age of 10, his uncle, a travelling musician, taught him to play the accordion, but Hans wanted more - he dreamed of the big stages of the world and the vibrating beats of American music. When he heard the funk hit ‘Le Freak’ by Chic for the first time in 1978, he knew that this was his destiny. With a heart full of disco and ears full of funk, Hans moved to Vienna in 1979. There he got involved in the local music scene and desperately tried to get a piece of the ever faster burning disco star. Under the stage name Hans Funk he recorded several disco-funk singles between 1979 and 1983 in a tiny studio in Vienna's 7th district. Despite an unshakeable belief in his talent, however, he was denied his big breakthrough. After a chance encounter between two school friends and the passing on of the news to a new generation of music enthusiasts, the music of Hans Funk will be re-released in 2024. |

The Chicago-based group was together for several decades, most notably starring on the WLS National Barn Dance program, as well as local and nationally syndicated programs on the ABC network. Stokes was born in Springfield, Missouri but like many entertainers in the radio era he moved around a lot, living in Monticello, Indiana and Helena, Montana among other places, before retiring down in Florida. It was up in Montana in the early 'Sixties while working as a radio deejay that Tiny Stokes met a factory worker and aspiring country singer named Charley Pride, whose career he championed, introducing the future chart-topper to Red Foley, who helped then Pride break into the Nashville scene. Though not known as a solo artist, Stokes recorded prolifically with the Buccaneers, both on Decca singles and countless airshots; he was also known for the hillbilly hit, "Blackfoot Boogie," a Montana-themed novelty number he recorded in 1956 with a group called the Frontiersmen. (The song name-checks every country bar in the state, one by one, city by city, and is about as specific a shout-out song as you'll ever hear...) |

His second album "Options" (Mad Dog & Love Records) is a reflection of expectations and uncertainties which follow one chaotic relationship. aMinus’ atmospheric & eloquent execution of these themes melodically is exposed in the debut single "Don’t Mind Me Now", featuring Magritte Jaco, singer of Plateau Repas and the second: « I can Try » featuring Kaey. | |

| Search | Add | 7 | The Sundae Train | Formed in 1965 in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, the band was known as the Avantis before adopting the more whimsical-sounding name Sundae Train. Personnel consisted of chief conductor Joel Cherry, Bill Gheen, John Morgan, Galen Ramsey and Steve Fecker. The Joel Cherrypenned ³Love Affair² is an exciting build-and-release composition that clearly displays the talents of a up-and-coming songwriter with serious potential. ³Sing Sweet Barbara² is a sadly- forgotten Margo, Margo, Medress & Siegel effort that begs the obvious question: why didn¹t this record become a huge hit? The band¹s other single was released on the 20th Century label. ³Wake Up (Sleepy Girl)² b/w ³I Wanna Be² was co-produced by Dave Appell and Joe Tarsia and has stellar production flourishes that enhance the solid pop songcraft. The band later recorded one single, ³Pamela² (b/w same) as simply The Train, and released this Tokensco-produced recording on the Avco Embassy label. Credited to Arnold and Alfred Infanzon of the Canterbury Music Festival, the tune was long thought to be a CMF recording. Latter-day Sundae Train drummer Steve Fecker remembers the mysterious ³Pamela² recording session: ³We went down to the Ed Sullivan Theatre (where the Tokens had their offices) and I don¹t remember if we actually recorded in that building, or if we went somewhere else. But I do remember standing around the mic and singing harmonies with the Tokens, and that was really exciting. For me, it was as exciting as being there with the Beatles or somebody, you know? That was Joel singing lead on Pamela.¹² (This recording of "Pamela" can be heard as a bonus track on Canterbury Music Festival's "Rain and Shine" CD, released on Rev-Ola earlier this year.) In 1972, the Sundae Train ran out of fuel and morphed into Road Apple, a band that included future Starbuck keyboardist David Shaver. Today, Joel Cherry is Tanya Tucker¹s attorney/manager. After the demise of Road Apple, Steve Fecker went back to college and returned to Sunbury, where he currently works for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. | |

| Search | Add | 7 | Charles Charamba | Charles Charamba | Charles Charamba, the massively talented gospel musician was born in 1971 in Mudzi, a remote area in the eastern district of Zimbabwe. As he grew up, Charles discovered at a very early age that his major gift lay in music. Such was boy's conspicuous talent that at primary school he was the youngest member of his school singing group. Together with his seniors' they toured many places entertaining audiences of all ages and classes. The vibrant Charles converted to Christianity in August 1988.Thus began an era which today has become a phenomenon of pronounced multitude. The man belongs to Who's Who of the country's top gospel artistes. If the fame come across the border, who would be surprised? Charles is not a fly by night musician who thrives on plucking common hymns from various denominations. A highly inspired composer in his own right, he possesses exceptional writing skills that are virtually unmatched. Previous works like 'Jehovah NdiMwari Wedu' (1995) and the album 'Tinashe Akatendeka' (1997) bear open testimony to the man's God-given prowess. A humble and lovable character, Charles Charamba is no doubt one gospel giant who is bound to grow on and go beyond the apex, smashing all known historical perceptions.Even the sky cannot be the limit Brother! Keep on fishing them out. Notes on Compilation Album 'Muzita RaJesu Vol. 1. |

| Search | Add | 7 | Inna Sense | Jimi Dred (lead vocals, keyboards), Prince Patrick (lead vocals, DJ), Icardo Richards (bass and vocals), Junior Richards (drums and vocals), Stevie Marco (Guitar). In 1987, using Philadelphia as a base, the band developed a nationwide following touring from California to New York with plenty of stops in between with occasional trips back home to Miami. By the mid 90's, they had established themselves as the hottest act in Philadelphia and broke the international scene with tours to Jamaica and Europe. Their recording "Always Something There To Remind Me" hit #5 on the Hawaiian charts and was soon followed by "Let Your Love Flow", "No Matter What Your Color", and "Book Of Rules" from their 1998 self-titled release. Although they continued to tour, the majority of their time was spent at home where they rocked SOBE crowds 5 nights a week on Ocean Drive at Mango's Tropical Cafe in Miami, Florida. Their third album "4:20 Rough" was released in 2000. In 2007 they released their fourth album titled "Anthology", which included the hit song "Top Of The Line". Through the rigors of touring, Inna Sense has not missed a beat since they started in 1987. Since 2007 Inna Sense has decided to transform their music with a new sound called "Rasta Rock". Playing for crowds up and down the east coast, the new genre has been a huge success. https://ourstage.com/profile/innasense INNA SENSE: A BRIEF HISTORY - by Peter McEvilley (aka Swee'Pea) Formed in Aug. 1990 by John Paul Graham A.K.A. Man Called Scratch. Jamaican student in Gainesville Scratch, who had played with a few college reggae bands at UNF moved to Miami to search for better opportunities to play and promote Reggae music. There he formed Inna Sense, which consisted of Scratch, Prince Patrick (Jamaican), Peter Swee Pea McEvilley (Cincinnatian living in Miami), Jimi Dred (brought down by Scratch from Gainesville, originally from Ocala, FL) and Harold heavyweight Estime (Haitian). The band, with two weeks of rehearsal under their belts, left for Belize, Central America, for a month long tours. Belizean friends of Scratch who were well connected with the Belizean government arranged the tour. The tour was celebrating Belize's 10th year of independence. Plane tickets, transportation, and the government provided accommodations. The band played in nearly every out of the way little spot in Belize and was extremely well received. Many areas they played had not ever seen a live band from another country. Riots started to break out twice when Inna Sense stopped and the band was forced to play until near daylight to keep everyone happy. But, enjoying the beautiful country and feeling the effects of the local rum CANE JUICE (also one of the tours sponsors), the boys were happy to oblige. Excited by the tour and exhausted, the band returned to Miami where they almost immediately began playing at Tropic's which is now the All-Star Cafe. Friday night, Saturday, Saturday night and Sunday the band could be seen playing, always full of energy, enthusiasm, and always encouraging the audience to tune into the good vibe. In no time at all, Tropic's was packed to the brim with tourists and locals alike. It was a happening. Within a few months, Inna Sense was named the best Reggae band of Miami by the New Times. Now (1991) the band was working 8 shows a weeks from south beach to Ft. Lauderdale. They were building a great reputation and a large following. At this point Inna Sense started recording their first album United with legendary engineer/producer Karl Pitterson (Bob Marley, Steel Pulse). With new album in hand, the band decided to cash in their chips in Miami and hit the road. Using contacts they had met in Miami (mostly club owners from around the eastern US who, on vacation in Miami had said here is my card, call me if you guys ever want to play in....) The band began touring in up and down the East coast and Midwest. They built a nice following in cities like Cincinnati, Chicago, Grand Rapids Mich., Tampa, Washington DC and many others. During this period, because of exhaustion and minor differences, Man Called Scratch left to pursue a solo career. Immediately after their first tour, Inna Sense was offered a steady gig at a club they had played in Philly on tour. The club was KatManDu where they have played every summer since. After their first summer in Philly, the band decided to go west. They headed out to sunny Southern California. Here they met with local reggae promoter Roberto Angotti. Roberto was very instrumental in the careers of UB40 and Pato Banton. He had been out of the business for a while but decided to get back into it when he received Inna Sense's CD. He immediately took them under his wing (put them up in his house) and started booking them up and down the West coast. They played San Diego, L.A., Santa Barbara, San Jose and many others. At the end of the winter, the band headed back to Philly. Inna Sense has built a large following in Philadelphia where they eventually stayed for two and a half years (1995-1996). During this period, they spent much time learning the art of studio recording and worked on the initial ideas for there current self titled album. Also during this time, drummer Swee Pea, started his own record label, Swee Pea Records. The idea of the label being to give Inna Sense and other artists they had met on the road a home for their recorded music. Swee Pea records released Reggae Jam-1, a compilation of Inna Sense, Man Called Scratch, and friends. The album was not released in the mainland U.S although many copies were sold at shows. The album was, however, released in Hawaii where the label was able to set up a distribution deal. Coincidentally, the two songs on the album that received the most radio play were by Inna Sense and Man Called Scratch. Both acts have now released full-length albums in Hawaii where they are well known and are played on the largest stations (KCCN) in Hawaii. Inna Sense recently (October 1998) toured across the US mainland to California where they flew to Hawaii and played 5 shows on 3 different islands (Oahu, Hawaii, and Maui). Scratch was also on the shows, which was a nice addition and reminded the band of the early days at Tropic's on South Beach. The band was well received in Hawaii where they were special guest on the TV show Good Morning Honolulu (NBC affiliate) and did 7 different radio interviews. The album is selling well in Hawaii and will be released nationally on the mainland by Swee Pea Records (who are in the process of signing a distribution deal for the label) no later than this fall. Promoters in Hawaii are currently setting up shows for the band and Scratch for September of this year. Other highlights of the band¹s career include their trip to Europe where they played with Julian Lennon on a benefit for the Australian Rainforest. While there, they played for, met Prince Albert and Princess Stephanie, and stayed at Julian Lennon¹s house. Julian (or Jules as we like to call him) was a regular guest at all of their performances and was even seen late nights at a few afterhours clubs doing improvised acoustic sets with Peter Swee Pea McEvilley on the piano and Jimmy Dread backing him up on the vocals. Currently, the band resides in Miami where they are playing at Mango's and the Hungry Sailor and rapidly building a new following consisting of some fans from the old days and many new fans. They are planning lots of touring for the summer (including Hawaii) and are working on a new album. From https://web.archive.org/web/20000930041719/http://www.innasense.com/band_history.htm | |

| Search | Add | 7 | Grupo Illiniza | Grupo illiniza (also known as illiniza) is a cultural association from Ecuador centered in Popular Latin American music since 1979. It has been recognized as one of the most influential musical ensembles in the country. Grupo illiniza was established in 1979 in Quito city and debuted on TV by winning a national music contest. The ensemble was created with the idea of culturally linking and preserving the different nationalities and music of the communities that make up Latin America. It all began at the Instituto Nacional Mejía of Quito, a high school made up of city youth, some of whom were quite concerned about the reality of the time, and wanted to do something proactively in order to change things and influence people in a positive way. To talk about Latin America, its music and traditions, means speaking about its cultural identity. Only by getting closer to those communities that still preserve the roots of their nationhood and engaging with their different cultural manifestations (i.e. song, music, dance, art), can we begin to understand the reasons for their behavior, assess their roles in history and their struggles to preserve a millenarian, multicultural heritage that has defied the incessant alienation to which it has been subjected. Grupo illiniza has performed on stage next to musicians and dancing ensembles from Latin America, North America, Europe and Asia such as Inti-Illimani, Joan Manuel Serrat, Luis Eduardo Aute, Mercedes Sosa, Silvio Rodríguez, León Gieco, The Moscow Ballet, Piero De Benedictis, Alex Alvear, Los Olimareños, Los Visconti, Tito Fernández, Illapu, Gabino Palomares, Los Folkloristas, Pete Seeger, Holly Near, Bernice Johnson Reagon, Sweet Honey in the Rock, Vicente Feliú, Tania Libertad, Quinteto Tiempo, Manuel Capella, Grupo Raiz, Noel Nicola, Kosetsu Minami, Adrian Goizueta, Pueblo Nuevo, Jaime Guevara, Roy Brown, Carlos Díaz "Caíto", Luis Enrique Mejía Godoy, among others. The members of the group are generally invited to tour European or American countries with the purpose of sharing their repertoire which is varied and elaborate, demonstrating instrumental and vocal virtuosity in festivals and concerts that include performing genres such as fusion, world music, folk, Latin, trova, Afro Caribbean, Andean, Brazilian, and nueva canción, among others. In 2010 Grupo illiniza received several Awards in a national music composition contest entitled Canción de los Andes which is organized yearly by the Education Ministry of Ecuador. The categories include Innovation of Musical Genre and Execution of musical instruments. Throughout its long musical career spanning over 30 years, the Association has received several National and International awards as well as distinctions including trophies, gold and silver medals, certifications in European as well as American music and dance competitions, festivals and concert performances. They have also been awarded the prestigious title Ambassadors of Art and Friendship in Belgium. Two books and other publications cite Grupo illiniza as a reference in various musical genres. These include Andean Music and Ecuadorian Musical Groups. Grupo illiniza has been recognized by respected musicologists like director and musical composer Julio Bueno as being one of the most important representative groups of Ecuador's popular music. | |

| Search | Add | 7 | Danyb | Danilo Braca | Italian DJ and producer based in Brooklyn, NY Music has always been a major part of the life of Danilo Braca aka danyb. His father was an avid record collector as well as a collector of vintage musical gear, an obvious influence on Danilo’s choice of career path. This exposure led Danilo to build his own music collection very early on. He started playing at parties around Italy in 1986, at the age of 13, just around the time of the burgeoning popularity of house music. While pursuing a career as a DJ, Danilo became highly skilled in the field of Sound Engineering and Music Production, working around recording studios in Rome until he decided to move to New York City in 2012. Having reached the city with the musical heritage that influenced him the most, he founded The Sound of New York City, a web radio station and recording studio where his activities range from music production to sound postproduction. In the last year, Danilo also created 2 record labels and released 5 EP that caught many ears in the underground community. His style as a DJ has remained very eclectic with the ability to blend Afro-disco, synth pop, Italo Cosmic, Garage House, Disco, Prog-Rock, Chicago Old School House and Philly vibes all in one set. 2018 promises to include many releases with an original solo project in progress remixed by Ashley Beedle, DJ Nature, The Revenge, DJ Spinna, DJ Rocca, and Radius etc |

| Search | Add | 7 | Jesse Waldman | Jesse Waldman | One of Jesse Waldman’s most cherished possessions is a cassette of his grandmother singing the Yiddish folk song Papirosen to his mother. A remnant, like the abandoned guitar discovered in his parent’s basement, that drove his rock ‘n roll dreams out of the suburban sprawl of Thornhill, Ontario, and into the bars of downtown Toronto. A journey cross-country led him to mountains, ocean, and into the arms of Vancouver's Commercial Drive music scene. Now his home of over twenty years, the West Coast continues to inspire his lush imagery, sublime melodies, and outstanding technique. Influenced by folk and blues pioneers Townes Van Zandt, Taj Mahal, and Neil Young, Jesse has toured Canada, Western US, and the UK, performing everywhere from local pubs to soft-seat theaters, appearing at major festivals including Vancouver's Folk and International Jazz Fests. Mansion Full of Ghosts is Jesse's highly anticipated solo debut, an exploration of the city's vast duality, a backdrop of beauty mirrored by a fierce underbelly, and a need to keep a light on in the dark. |
