Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Jamie Shew | “Forgive me if I don’t have the words. Maybe I can sing it and you’ll understand.” -Ella Fitzgerald Whether on stage or in the classroom, these are words that vocalist Jamie Shew seeks to achieve – to be able to project personal emotions and experiences through song. Jamie grew up in the Tri-Cities, a group of towns located in south central Washington State. She began her musical training at the age of four, when she was first introduced to the piano. The desire to sing was very strong for Jamie throughout her childhood; however, she was always needed as an accompanist. It was during her senior year in high school that her choir director gave her the opportunity to sing a Karen Carpenter solo. This was a pivotal moment – she was hooked. Jamie earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Washington State University and a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance/Jazz Studies at Western Michigan University. As a graduate assistant at WMU, she had the opportunity to study privately with one of her favorite jazz vocalists, Sunny Wilkinson, and perform and record with the renowned vocal jazz ensemble, Gold Company. As a jazz vocalist, Jamie continues to enjoy a dynamic performance career among many internationally recognized jazz musicians such as Larry Koonse, Darek Oles, Royce Campbell, Chuck Manning, Bruce Babad, Jeremy Siskind, Kendall Kay, Mike Scott, Matt Politano, Danny Janklow, Dave Robaire, Will Brahm, Joe Bagg, Steve Cotter, Jason Harnell, Dan Schnelle, and Josh Nelson. In her newest CD project, Eyes Wide Open, released May 2018, Jamie uses song to tell the story of her 20-year relationship with her husband, bass player Roger Shew, and the loss she experienced when he succumbed to cancer. The music follows the arc of her life from the early days of their relationship through Roger's illness and beyond. Jamie's extensive musical training informs her singing. Her timbre is warm and inviting, while her timing, phrasing, and ability to interact so well with the band reflects her years of study. Of course, it doesn't hurt that she's playing with some of the finest musicians in Southern California including guitarist Larry Koonse, pianist and Hammond B3 player Joe Bagg, bass player Darek Oles, and drummer Jason Harnell, who are all leaders in their own right. Jamie chose songs she had considered recording in the past, but now they took on new meanings for her. She wrote two original compositions and selected and arranged the rest with a lot of deliberation. Each song became a metaphor for her journey. Eyes Wide Open is a project imbued with love and loss but eschews mere sentimentality. Jamie doesn't just perform moving interpretations of these songs, she opens her heart and exposes the genuine, raw feelings that have propelled her to make this CD. Her innate musicality is showcased in her phrasing and tone, but it's how she reveals the depth of the human condition that sets this project apart. In addition to a rich performance career, Jamie is Coordinator of Vocal Jazz Studies at Fullerton College in Fullerton, California, where she teaches private jazz voice lessons, two levels of Vocal Jazz Styling and Improvisation courses, Music Theory, History of Rock and Roll, directs two groups in the award-winning vocal jazz ensemble program, and is the vocalist for the Faculty Jazz Cadre high school educational outreach program. She is also an in-demand adjudicator and clinician for jazz festivals throughout the country and internationally, has served as the past Vocal Jazz Chair of the Southern California Vocal Association, and has directed the California All-State Vocal Jazz Ensemble. | |

Search | Add | 4 | Manuel JdEM | Emanuele Misurina | Manuel JdEM was born in Pinerolo (Italy) on 27 th October 1986 and since his first years he showed a great interest in music and a natural feeling with it. When he was 10 years old he began to study music: piano and then clarinet. When he was 15 he bought his first vinyl. His talent was imminent and he had no problem in acquiring mixing skills and, in a few time, he began to spin his dj set, that was a 360° dance/club set, in several clubs. In 2004, he decided to leave House music selections and he devoted himself to Hardstyle music. In this year, he won a djing competition, which was organized at Guell Disco in S. Secondo di Pinerolo (Italy). In the beginning of 2005, Fusion staff was born: a staff, who organizes parties on Sunday afternoon at “Le Cinemà” Disco, in Roletto (TO - it), where he's still resident dj and Booking Manager. In 2005 he became part of Parhasar Staff, so he worked at Altavista (ex Cellophane) in Rimini, Domina in Toirano (SV), GOA in Avigliana (TO), DUE in Cigliano (VC), at Sundance Festival in Biella, Ultimo Impero Discotempio in Magliano Alpi (CN), Vogue Disco in Castelsardo (SS), L'Acropol in Paris - France and The Emporium in Coalville Leicestershire UK. Manuel is also the founder, with DJ Vortex, of Hardforum ( www.hardforum.org ), born in the beginning of 2005, which is a very important meeting point for Italian hardstylers. It creates a direct link between the audience and dj/producers. In 2005 Manuel JdEM has his “musical birth” and he spins his dj set on the best dance floors in north Italy . His live sets are appreciated for variety and musical selection concerning Hardstyle, Italian Style, Hardtrance and Jumpstyle. In his dj sets you can listen also to his personal tracks, which he produces in his personal music studio. |

Search | Add | 4 | Wendy Darling Blackwood | Wendy Farrell-Pastore | Wendy "Darling" Blackwood is an album cover artist / photographer and backing vocalist most notably for the band Edison's Children & the solo albums of Edison's Children's Rick Armstrong, the Son of Neil Armstrong. Wendy is famed for her dark vivid imagery featured not just on the band's album covers but in the accompanying 20 page haunting "lyrics & images booklets" that appear in every one of Edison's Children's full length albums, with each song, section or excerpt of the concept album, having its own personal "album cover" to give listeners a visual cue to what they should see in their mind's eye while listening to the music. Her stage name Wendy Darling Blackwood is a combination of being given the moniker "Wendy Darling" in honor of his song Neverland by the band Marillion in the liner notes of Marillion's album "Sounds That Can't Be Made" under Steve Hogarth's credits: "h would like to thank "Eric Pastore (Blackwood) and Wendy Darling". It is the first time that her new stage name "Wendy Darling" appears in any publication. The last name of Blackwood came in credit to her husband Eric Blackwood lead singer and lead guitarist of Edison's Children whom she married in 2000. Wendy has created all of the interior artwork, CD plate and album covers for every one of Edison's Children's 8 releases (4 full length albums, 2 EP's, 1 Making of CD, 1 Vinyl Release) and all 3 of Rick Armstrong (Son of Neil Armstrong/Bassist-Guitarist-Keyboardist for Edison's Children) as well as doing backing vocals for Edison's Children's, "Where Were You" / "Where Were You" (Jakko's King Crimson Mix) / "Seventh Sign" / "Seventh Sign (Single Edit)" on the Edison's Children albums "The Final Breath Before November" and "Somewhere Between Here and There". Wendy is co-author of the "coffee table book" 500 Ballparks for Thunder Bay Publishing in 2 Editions in which Wendy personally photographed 500 baseball parks around the world. Wendy has also worked as a Property Technician, Set Dresser and Picture Car driver on the Movies "I Am Legend (starring Will Smith", "Loving Leah", "Law & Order: Criminal Intent", "Law & Order: SVU" and "The Backup Plan (starring Jennifer "JLo" Lopez). |

Search | Add | 4 | Cubique DJ Cb | Thulani Mabena | Thulani Mabena aka “[a=Cubique DJ CB]” an African Deep, Soulful House, Hip Hop producer and DJ, hailing from a musical family. Thulani is highly influenced by his cousins Nathan Xulu "[a=Nathan X]", Mteya Xulu "Mteya" and father Calvin Xulu. Born and raised in Middelburg, Mpumalanga, South Africa. From his youth playing basketball for the national South African team for two years, Thulani’s music career began in the mid year 2005 at the age of 13, when Hip Hop was still a big part of Middelburg’s music scene. Recorded music for fun with artist like “Vague Rizemblenze, Osifiz Aeschylus”. With no success in the making of Hip Hop, Thulani had to depart from his deep art. Two years later he began doing his own music production, both Hip Hop & Dance Music. The Hip Hop lessened when the dance scene erupted at his hometown, that’s when his DJ career took place. In those days, if you were not a vinyl DJ it wasn’t easy to get into a DJ line up, let alone get paid for being a DJ. Met Nicholas Mboweni “[a=Cuebur]” who taught him more about music than anyone else could ever have. Vinyl DJ skills were self-taught when an influential DJ Ndaba Maseko “DJ Ndaba” gave him turntables as a gift for his birthday. Thulani has also been a prolific remixer throughout his career remixing songs for artists locally and internationally. Released music with labels such as Peng Music, Cabana Recordings by [a=Justin Imperiale], Nulu Recordings by [a=Antonello Coghe], Soul Candi, Melomania & artists like [a=Aphreme] & [a=Cei Bei] To Name A Few. Thulani is still doing a lot of remixing as it helps build and architect his production skills. Thulani is one of the artists doing music production for artists like [a=Troy Denari], [a=Amera Light] which are big names in the dance music scene, also doing Hip Hop production for artists like Golden Shovel of “Optical Illusion. 2011 Thulani then met a label owner “Jaguar Paw” who runs the label [l=DeepForestSA] which pushes artists like [a=Darque], [a=McGee Keys], [a=Garth & G-rel], Wishingsoul, [a=Floss], Musskid, [a=Kaylow] to name a few. Signed under the label and got recognized by other labels. |

Between screws and ships, Whitmer began mitigating the spectrotemporal constraints of the ’ukulele with the stochastic and bombastic properties of amplification under the stage name of williwaw. More than a quarter century later, williwaw continues to provide this most particular blend of amplified 'ukulele mayhem to all the stalwarts hep to its machinations. On numerous occasions, williwaw has also played sonic foil to silent reels o' film, and plays nice with others in the sandlot. |
