Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | yunam | Yunam is a Montreal based electronic music producer with a background in experimental, band and improvised music. As a passionate fan of DIY, he uses his free time to build analog synthesizers which he likes to integrate into his musical creations. His project combines modular synthesizers and Casios / toy keyboards from the 80s-90s, in order to recreate that musical freedom which is unique to improvisation, where meticulously created sounds and cheesy flavors of the past come together. From these improvisations, he composes musical soudscapes that combine the intensity of techno with emotional chord progressions, resulting in a sonic environment that evokes melancholy and science fiction. This can sometimes give to the listener the impression of being alone in space… | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Tribalife | Filipino hip-hop group Tribalife consisted of Geenuistick and Asiatik aka AL duMaurier. They have been a unit since '93. Boasting a b-boy background (both members are well-versed in breaking and graffiti, the Jersey-reared Geenuistick calls their style "universal" adding "we have our own unique personalities". Being Filipino, "you gotta come twice as hard", says Asiatik. The lack of local resources is frustrating, he admits. "It's hard to do a show out here because of too many knuckleheads". So the crew has had to seek greener pastures in the Bay Area of Los Angeles. Local promoter Alif "A-One" Reneau helped hook them up with Walter Taylor aka Eclipse 427 from Mixed Practice, who recorded "Destination Unknown" from Tribalife's self-titled EP. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Sandra Karina | Alexandra Gavaiskaya | Sandra Karina was born Alexandra Gavaiskaya in 1908 on the shores of the vast Lake Baikal in Siberia, where her father was stationmaster. Alexandra was the second daughter born to the young couple stationed far away from their home region of Rostov on the Don. In 1910, her father was transferred to the Russian built city of Harbin, in Manchuria, where he directed the railway's export department until his death in 1913. His widow and the two girls stayed on in Harbin where the mother found work at the export department after the Russian Revolution of 1917 wiped out the family's savings. It was a child in Harbin that Alexandra heard such famous singers as Karinskaya and Vertinsky and determined that she, too, would be a singer. Alexandra sang constantly, teaching herself by listening to the recordings of these famous artists and singing along with them. She also took her first voice lessons in Harbin. Her older sister Nina, an accomplished pianist, would provide accompaniment on the piano. Threatened by the Japanese occupation of Manchuria, the small family was encouraged by friends to move to Tientsin, China, which had a large Russian colony. Many had moved there as the Revolution swept across Russia, and much of the retreating White Army and their families, many Don Cossaks among them, took refuge in Northern China. Finding herself in Tientsin at the age of thirteen, Alexandra enjoyed the life of teenager: studying ballet, music, playing tennis, and attending a French Catholic high school for girls. In 1927 she married Basil J. Koulaeff, an artist and son of a prominent Russian business man. In the early 1930's they had a daughter, Elena, and soon the whole family moved to the United States where they all became U.S.citizens. Settling in Hollywood, California, Alexandra participated in the social life of the Russian-American community centered around the Russian Orthodox Church and the film industry. At that time, a good number of Russians were employed by the Hollywood studios as scenic artists, musicians, actors, dancers, and directors. Many found their way to the parties at Alexandra's home. She sang on stage, in films, and in a Russian nightclub on the Sunset Strip, that was frequented by the movie stars of the 1940's. It was at this time that she took the stage name of Sandra Karina. In 1946, Sandra Karina joined the USO group called the Russion Revels -- an award winning group of musicians, dancers, and singers directed by pianist Sergei Malavsky. Having separated from her husband, she was free to tour the United States performing in Veteran's Hospitals for two years. During the USO tour she was able to visit with Nastia Poliakova in New York and renewed a friendship that had begun years earlier. Nastia advised Sandra on the rendition of several songs and taught her the lyrics in the Gypsy language. Returning to Hollywood, she met and married engineer Michael Graves (born Michael Glushkov) a fellow Russian from China. She continued to sing and give concerts, and in 1954 she recorded the songs in this CD. Michael's young son Nicholas came to live with them and Sandra devoted herself to her family. Michael's work as a structural engineer took them all over the country to states such as Washington, Pennsylvania, and Mississippi where they lived for a number of years, finally setting back to the Hollywood Hills where Sandra Karina lived till she died in 2000. |

The Vienna Improvisers Orchestra's praxis of Instant Composition Conducting is based on a hand-sign vocabulary, in continuity with Lawrence D. Butch Morris' method 'Conduction', and has been developed by the VIO's artistic director and instant composition conductor Michael Fischer including absolute ad hoc creation by the ensemble as well as the conductor, no prepared or agreed parts/designs, no rehearsals but only a short try-out of the hand-signs before the concert, Instant Compositions unfold within 35-50 minutes, each concert presents a new ensemble constellation and usually also at least one new musician. The VIO has been a guest at festivals such as the Moers Festival, Wien Modern, Artacts Festival, at the Klima Biennale Wien, the Porgy & Bess Vienna and spaces of the contemporary fine arts such as Künstlerhaus Wien, Belvedere21, Vienna Art Week Festival and others. | Search | Add | 2 | Modern Day Drifters | Joe Churchill and Kristen Kelly met while involved in separate projects in the central Texas music scene. After the musical adventures they were involved with ended around the same time in the summer of 2006, they decided they should start writing some songs together. Soon after, they were performing as an acoustic duo. The Drifters were originally filled out with Derrick Dutton on lead guitar, Marty Mack on drums and Vincent Bryce on bass. Their debut album, The Highway Is My Home, was released in late spring 2008. MDD was the New Artist of the Year at the 2009 Gruene With Envy Awards. Joe Churchill left the group by March 2009 and Kristen Kelly briefly continued performing as Kristen Kelly and The Modern Day Drifters, but ultimately "Modern Day Drifters" was dropped entirely.

These are stories told simply and without frills, sung tenderly and yet hauntingly, poetic miniatures on quiet soles - and melodies that, once there, can no longer be shooed away. The chansons are embedded in playful arrangements. Sans Claire make sounds for the soul."

| Search | Add | 2 | Samuel Hubert | French Jazz Musician (Double Bass, Composition) Born: 1978 or 1979 Died: February 2024 Samuel Hubert emerged as a formidable talent within the French jazz scene, renowned for his mastery of the double bass and his contributions as a composer. His musical journey was rooted in the prestigious Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Marseille (CNR), where he honed his skills and developed a passion that would define his career. Throughout his career, Hubert collaborated with a wide array of musicians, showcasing his versatility and depth as an artist. Early on, he performed alongside notable figures such as Hugo Lippi, Olivier Hutman, Xavier Richardeau, and Laurent Courtalhiac, weaving his distinct sound into a diverse range of jazz styles. A pivotal moment in Hubert's career was the formation of the Switch Trio, alongside pianist Fred Nardin and guitarist Maxime Fougères. This collaboration was a testament to his innovative approach to jazz, resulting in two acclaimed albums that further solidified his place in the jazz community. His ability to blend seamlessly with his trio partners while asserting his unique musical voice was a hallmark of their success. Beyond the trio, Hubert's talent and creativity led him to work with other jazz luminaries, including Samy Thiébault, Karim Blal, Véronique Hermann Sambin, and Jean-Philippe Scali, among others. His recent work with Olivier Temime on the album "Inner Songs" (2022) displayed his continued relevance and artistic evolution in the modern jazz scene. Hubert's contributions to jazz were not confined to performance alone. He was a key member of the jazz band Wax, which released the album "Mollo" in 2023. His involvement in ten recording sessions between 2010 and 2022, as noted by jazz historian Tom Lord, underscores his prolific output and enduring influence on jazz music. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Supplices | French Black Metal coming straight from Occitan lands in the South of France where the sufferings of the medieval era and other sentences and tortures are expressed explicitly or in poetic form. Traditional instruments accompany some pieces in the desire to give an authentic side to the music as well as to the lyrics. The instrumental with epic and melancholic tones make this Black Metal unique and varied. Since Svart and Nosos first formed the band in 2015, Supplices concretizes its line-up in 2017 for concerts. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Alimori | Mihail Simeonov | Seeking creative freedom, Alimori is the pseudonym used by Mischa Blanos to shape new electronic territories for his compositions, be it progressive clubbing or ambient music. Born from the need to separate his acoustic-electronic music framed in the Neoclassical genre from other exploring genres, Alimori serves the artist in his endeavour to expand his travel on the pure electronic realm. He abandons the acoustic piano but transfers its soul by manipulating the machines as if they were acoustic instruments and infusing elusive yet deeply rooted classical structures. Back and forth through synths, drum machines, modulars and digital inputs, Alimori is set to voice out his appetite for jazz-driven techno club pieces and his attraction in creating sonic spheres of ambient music. |
