Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024

Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

The common ground was pop punk, but over the course of some shows around town and two recording sessions, they forged their own direction from that starting place. Eventually their directions diverged. From their promo bio: "The synthesis of something ugly and something pretty is what Quassi Go-Go is all about. Like a monster in a miniskirt, Quasi Go-Go bring influence from California, the Notherwest, and the Midwest, and rock melody and riffs in a catchy blend of songs."

They turned their lyrics into action in the streets and created the movement Y’en a Marre which made the former President to step down. Even if Hip-Hop is their base, you can find pop, rock, heavy metal, Afro funk in their music. They are consistently looking for ways to reinvent musically. Now they have found a perfect ally on Waliyaane Band, a band of eight versatile and talented musicians with whom to explore for new sounds. Keurgui is well-known in the African continent but it has a wider audience since they’ve performed in main european countries (France, Denmark, Germany, Spain), Japan and in USA in festivals like One Mic in Kennedy Center (D.C) or Trinity International Festival (Conneticut). Keurgui has won numerous awards—best hip-hop album of the year, best-selling artists, and best band at the Hip Hop Awards Festival in Senegal; nominated best band of the year at the Sunu Music Awards; nominated for the micro d’or award (gold mic); nominated for song of the year, Tube de l’année, Rfm Radio; nominated for African Hip Hop Awards in South Africa. Their last album, a two-volume collection to be titled Encyclopedia has become one of the most covetet albums on the continent and acts as a loudspeakers of social and political issues across Africa. Search Add 2 Minus. Minus is a sign of the changing times... And their time is now. Minus will not be ignored. After spending the last couple years gigging endlessly throughout New England, the boys have developed a style all their own, best displayed on their new EP "Care Factor: Zero." Tracks like, "Idiot Me" and "Relapse" stand out as very well written tunes that play over and over again in your head. Minus's single, "First Stone Cast" has been receiving consistent college air-play and the band has been recognized by major radio stations as a front-runner in the area's music scene. Minus has shared the stage with many of the biggest metal bands to grace the East Coast. The list of bands reads like a major tour, with such names as Massachusetts's newest upstarts Reveille (Elektra), New York's hard-core kings, Biohazard (Mercury.) and OzzFest '99 performers like Drain STH (Mercury), Static X (Atlantic), and Puya (MCA). Minus has been described by C.M.J. Magazine as a ".post-apocalyptic groove-core motherf#@ker." and by The New Haven Advocate as ".melodically charged, intensely emotional hard-core." Minus's style appeals to a diverse crowd, as fans of all ages faithfully show their support. To say they take control of a crowd would be a harsh understatement. The energy that pours out of Minus is intense and has to be witnessed to truly be appreciated. Whether you like music that kicks your ass with immediate hard-core abandon, or trippy grooves that drench your mind like an infectious resin, Minus will deliver.
