Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | The Goodkind | The Goodkind was born in Isla Vista, Santa Barbara in 1996 when lead singer/songwriter Tim Stone moved in with three friends in order to attend UCSB and pursue his English degree. His early band enjoyed instant success in the area playing nightly shows all over Santa Barbara. They recorded and produced their first CD "Strange New Life" which sold 2000 copies in just two weeks. They had radio airplay and were asked to play on the UCSB campus numerous times as well. Tim left Santa Barbara in late 1997 to attend a more academic school in southern California, UCI, where he earned his degree in 2000. While in Socal he met RJ Williams who worked with him at the original First Class Pizza location in VIlla Park, close to his families home. This pairing of Tim Stone and RJ Williams pushed the envelope of the earlier music to new heights. They recorded another 'quick' CD at Running Wild Studios with engineer/producer/songwriter Paul Levi entitled '5-4-5'. This was a five song CD which they sold for 5 dollars, hence the name. This CD also sold about 3000 copies in about one month, only due to the heavy work schedule that both members had to endure and the small number of shows that they were able to line up in between. Finally Tim and RJ decided to make a "real" CD, one that they would actually take more than three eight hour days to record. They enlisted the help of musician/engineer/producer Shawn Sullivan. Shawn was the recording/engineering instructor at Orange Coast College and began sneaking the boys into late night sessions on the campus and in a wherehouse space in Newport Beach. While recording, their early tracks were heard by another artist who was also recording with Shawn. He saw so much potential in the tracks that he took the boys under his wing and began paying for all of their recording time. This CD, entitled 'The Goodkind' sold close to 6000 copies in just two months. The amazing thing was that the band only played 10 shows in those two months and besides the random one or two sold to friends, all 6000 copies were gone after those 10 shows. The Goodkind has played shows at The Pond in Anaheim, The Galaxy Theatre, The Doll House in Fullerton, The Boogie, Hennessy's Taverns all over OC, private art shows, UC campuses, and many many other smaller venues in OC. Tim now writes and records his own music in his home studio in Huntington Beach and is looking for someone in the industry with 'clout' to help him get national and international exposure. Tim's early success and excellent music bode well for his future and the future of anyone willing to help him get to the next level. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | The Pacificaires | The Pacificaires are the Barbershop Harmony Society’s 1969 Far Western District Champions. The Pacificaires first formed in 1966 when Fred Dregne (baritone) and Al Huebner (bass) met with Mike Hemphill (tenor) and a new chapter member, Rudy Wissler (lead), to form a new quartet. Rudy had been a child actor from 1941-1950) appearing in 26 movies. His most notable appearance was in “The Jolson Story” where he provided the singing voice for the young Al Jolson. The quartet’s first contest was the 1967 FWD contest in San Diego where they placed 4th. In 1968, Al Huebner fell ill and was replaced by Bill Fritz as bass, he passed away soon after. The quartet qualified for their first international contest in the spring of 1969 and went on to place 8th that summer in St. Louis. In 1970, in Atlantic City, NJ, the Pacificaires were pleased to earn 3rd place bronze medals. They slipped back to 4th in 1971 in New Orleans. In 1972, in Atlanta, GA, they were very pleased to earn 2nd place silver medals. Some of their most popular songs that they competed with were “Cross That Mason-Dixon Line”, “Swanee”, “Waiting For the Robert E. Lee”, and many more. In early 1973, Mike had surgery and had to take a temporary leave of absence from the quartet. Instead, they decided to replace him with Al Mau, tenor of the Western Continentals. They repeated as 2nd place silver medalists in 1973 in Portland, much to their dismay. They released their one and only LP that same year entitled, “A Good Day”. This album featured many of their show favorites such as “It’s A Good Day”, “Ace In The Hole”, “Lost In The Stars”, and their very popular, “Jolson Medley”. The quartet placed 2nd for the third time in 1974 in Kansas City. Following this contest, the quartet decided to stop competing. They decided to retire from the show circuit in 1975 after nearly 9 years of singing together. However, in October of 1980, the quartet was asked to come out of retirement to help the struggling Napa Chapter with their show and they did. Mike Hemphill returned to the tenor slot for the first time in 7 years. This would sadly be the final performance of the original Pacifiaires as Fred Dregne would pass away on February 4, 1988 at the age of 61. The Pacificaires sang their last show to date in the early 1990’s with Chuck Brooks, lead of the Colonials, substituting on baritone. Mike Hemphill later created and released a CD of these final 2 performances. Today only Mike Hemphill and Al Mau survive. Mike is retired and lives in Loveland, CO with his wife, Jan. He still actively sings in his local barbershop chapter. Al Mau would later return to the Western Continentals and sing with them again for many more years. Today, he is retired and lives in Arizona with his wife of over 70 years, Alice. Bill Fritz died on November 23, 1996 at the age of 76 in Oregon. Rudy Wissler went on to continue singing solo gigs at Al Jolson tributes and continued singing barbershop in the local area where he lived. Rudy died on January 11, 2007 at the age of 78. In addition to all the competing they did, the Pacificaires averaged 35 shows a year in their 9 year career. Everywhere they traveled they all dressed alike and were jokingly confused for a bowling team many times. Today, they are remembered as one of the greatest barbershop quartets and many can still remember hearing them in person all those years ago. | |

Klik was a short-lived New Haven’s label that never really had much in the way of hits but nonetheless cranked out a small batch of absolutely great doo wop sides before the payola scandal of 1959 closed its doors. | Search | Add | 2 | Crash-N-Burn | Crash-N-Burn was a punk rock band from San Francisco, California, USA. (approx. 1984-1988) CnB was more than just a generic punk band as their music could also draw on free improv, metal, prog rock and funk. The original version of the band was: John Sanders: guitar and vocals Ray Houghton: guitar and vocals Amy Sanders; bass and vocals Jeff Gerard: drums This version of the band included a lot of free improvisation and noisy avant-garde influences in their music, along with plenty of California hardcore punk. Jeff was murdered by the notorious serial killers Charles Ng and Leonard Lake which led to PJ Hakimi joining the group on drums. With PJ on board the band went in more of a thrash metal direction. PJ quit and was replaced by John Lieb on drums and vocals, and soon after Ray quit the band. This new three piece version of the band leaned more in a heavy prog rock direction, often sounding like a punk version of King Crimson. John Lieb eventually quit the band and was replaced by Dean Menta on guitar and Parry Wolfe on drums. This final version of CnB took on more of a punk funk direction with a lot of influence from the emerging hip-hop scene. Crash-N-Burn finally folded somewhere around 1988 with John Sanders, Parry Wolfe and Amy Sanders moving on to start New Power Soul, a seven piece funk band. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | DJ K-Nice | Ken Fisher | DJ K-Nice experienced an epiphany upon the first Fresh Fest concert in 1987. While watching Run DMC and Whodini, and DJs Jam Master Jay and Grand Master D, he knew that he was destined to move crowds through music. "My roots are in that era," says the 6-foot-2 DJ, grinning. "I’m kind of old school, but I still got some new to me." The DJ pays homage to those roots on weekly hip-hop nights around town; he has a residence Thursday and Saturday at Rick’s Music Café (9565 Telegraph, Detroit; call 313-533-8000) and Tuesday at Marilyn’s on Monroe (498 Monroe, Detroit; call 313-963-1980). Coming up, K-Nice was just a white kid from Taylor, removed from the fast track of Detroit’s hip-hop centers. Until Eminem blew up, white guys weren’t getting much love on the hip-hop scene. Like other rising hip-hop artists, K-Nice saw racial lines blur with the success of Slim Shady. "Dr. Dre put his stamp of approval on Eminem and he’s off and running," he asserts. Yet, the turntablist is quick to admit that it wasn’t always easy. "There’s more skepticism when people first see me — until they see me work the turntables." Undaunted by early hurdles, K-Nice kept spinning and passing out his mix tapes to anyone who wanted to listen — mostly his high-school classmates. K-Nice acquired quite a few listeners. "I tried to learn how to scratch and learn how Jam Master Jay was doing it," he explains. "I would rewind Krush Groove [a 1985 hip-hop film] and watch it over again. That was my favorite." Seeing P-Funkster George Clinton brought about another epiphany. "That’s when it really started getting serious for me," he says. "I always wanted to be a producer, but I wanted to know enough to tell the engineer what to do. I wanted to work with artists and start a record label." K-Nice enrolled in the Recording Institute in Detroit, a local trade school for music recording and graduated in 1995. Three years later he launched Richter Scale Records. In each of the four years since the label’s inception, he has released a mix CD highlighting Detroit artists and producers. The most recent, World Famous Vol. 2, saw light in May and has already sold out of its initial pressing. "The CD features two of the hottest up-and-coming MC’s, Obie Trice and Sol," says K-Nice. The next Richter project, Blacklisted Volume 2, will drop in October. It will be one of the largest comps of Detroit hip hop ever released, a double CD featuring 14 producers and 39 rappers. "The first volume of Blacklisted focused more on the artist," explains K-Nice. "But Volume 2 will highlight several local producers including Money Mike, Sick Notes and Disaster." In addition to bringing together Detroit’s hottest artists and producers, K-Nice also had "sought out underexposed artists who were so dope on the street. Everyone needed to hear them." K-Nice has done time behind the turntables with several local artists, including the Fat Killers and Trice, who has recently signed to Eminem’s imprint, Shady Records. Marwon, of the Fat Killers, at a respectable 5-foot-10 and 305 lbs., testifies, "I love K. He’s real and he doesn’t pull any punches. He’s given local artists the opportunity to showcase their talent in an avenue that we wouldn’t normally have." K-Nice has also managed to fuse Detroit’s hip-hop underground with nationally celebrated heroes of the genre. For Blacklisted Volume 2, DJ K-Nice recently initiated "You Gotsta Chill Showcase Saturdays" at Rick’s Music Café. Every week, there is an open mic and a live performance around midnight by one of the artists on the pending Volume 2. World-renowned DJ Kid Capri will be brought in to kick off Volume 2’s release. K-Nice has his sights set on Detroit hip-hop becoming more of an influence on the world. He’d like to see Richter Scale become a major label. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Jacky Kingue | Georges Jacky Eyadi Kingue | Jacky Kingue, whose real name is Georges Jacky Eyadi Kingue, was born on 27 September 1987 in Yaoundé. He is the son of the late Robert Kingue and Mouto Ntonè Jacqueline Cécile, and grew up in Douala, within his maternal family. After a somewhat chaotic schooling, due to a lack of financial means, he stopped his studies in the fifth grade, when he was fourteen years old. From this difficult period, he kept the emotional memory of his late paternal uncle, Ngando Nicolas, thanks to whom he and his older sister were able to attend school until they obtained their primary school certificate. When he stopped studying, Georges Jacky Eyadi Kingue took on a series of odd jobs, while his mother struggled to support the family. A teenager's life made up of deprivation and resourcefulness. During these years, Jacky forged a warrior's soul, with his passion for music as his only weapon. And to do as the grown-ups do, despite his family's reticence, he tinkers with his own instruments, which he learns to play on his own. Like his friend, Francis Ngombe Matanda, he was passionate about drums and made his own with old milk cans and rubber from used inner tubes. Both dreamed of becoming professional drummers. Finally, in 1999, Jacky gave up the drums to devote himself to singing. He then took his first steps as a singer in one of the cabarets in his neighbourhood in Douala. Despite the lack of a fee, he played there every night after his day's work, under the protection of one of the group's managers, the artist Dany Mouandjo. Only tips served as a salary. But his real apprenticeship came a few months later, during a tour of the band in the south-west of the country. He learned to use his voice as an instrument. Back in Douala after twelve weeks of touring, Jacky decided to leave the group to become a travelling singer. In 2001, at the request of singer Kaïssa Pakito, he joined the cabaret La Belle époque. He stayed there for a few months, before joining the Brasseries du Cameroun Orchestra. But in parallel to his musical activities, he decided to open a hairdressing salon in order to ensure a fixed income. He had learnt this trade a few years earlier from a friend. One evening in 2001, his singing talents were noticed by Prince Ndédi Eyango, one of the stars of Cameroonian music. The latter decided to produce his first solo album entitled Patou. The album was a success and Jacky Kingue became known to the general public. He received many awards, including the male revelation of the year 2002. Buoyed by this success, he left Cameroon that year to settle in France. In 2004, he released his second album Un pas de plus / One more step and parted company with his producer by mutual agreement. At the time, he wanted to broaden his horizons and fly on his own. But above all, he wanted to go back to school. He learnt about computers, in order to be able to make computer-assisted music. Anxious to improve his musical knowledge, he also attended the conservatory. Through hard work, he became not only a songwriter, but also an arranger. Over the years, he created a small production label (Kiharold Production), wrote songs and produced albums for other artists. In 2010, he released a maxi-single entitled En charge, which unfortunately did not meet with the expected success. Six years later, another maxi-single Open became a great success. In 2020, he scored withe a revived Chérie Coco, a song written a few years earlier. As soon as the single was released in March 2020, it was a huge success. After the aforementioned (maxi) singles, Jacky Kingue presented his new (third) album containing fourteen completely new songs on 14 November 2021 from Hotel St. Christopher's in Paris. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Jonny's Bomb | The band started and ended in Umeå in 1992 with Owe, Fredrik, and Johannes, who came from Änglarna (formerly Angel) and were still up for making music. Stefan and Johannes often hung out, and Stefan worked at Owes record store, SIDS Music, and played bass; they decided to do something together musically. A good friend and songwriter, Henrik Kjellberg, joined as a guitarist who was both sound engineer and guitarist with Stefan and Johannes's punk band Nasses Dieselknappar. The choice of vocalist was easy since Jonny sang with Stefan's band Ten Toes Up and was the best in town. Instead of rehearsing and having rockstar dreams, they built a studio with a lot of lent stuff (to Stefan Hansson's big annoyance) in Änglarnas rehearsal place in Västerslätt. Two sixteen or eight channels Fostex reel tape were placed beside Obbola-Peders mixer table, and a lot of Quadraverb were used. Henrik wrote 7-8 songs since they didn't have any, and they started a legendary recording session. The provisional studio became a hangout for parties and odd visitors for a couple of weeks, and eventually, the record was finished. The record was released on their label, SIDS Music, and was sold to other record stores by Henrik and Owe, calling the stores from the SIDS store. Henrik ended all the calls with "hugs and kisses". The band made two concerts, one in Vindeln with the original line-up and one in Boden without Henrik and Fredrik. The concert in Boden ended after one song after the organizer shut down. Jonny's Bomb was banned for life in the hotel after a destroyed hotel room and the arrival of the police. Henrik was arrested at Arlanda airport after he said to the security that he had a bomb in the guitar case - Jonny's Bomb. EMI Japan called Stefan and wanted to release another record, but it never materialized. The second album was initiated but never happened since everyone suddenly wanted to be a songwriter. Vocals - Jonny Lindqvist(Nocturnal Rites, Mogg) Guitar - Fredrik Fagerlund(The Facer, Diamond Dogs, Ulf Lundell, Tityo) Guitar - Johannes Nordström(Nasses Dieselknappar, Änglarna) Guitar - Henrik Kjellberg(The Facer, Catch, Doq.Squeeze, Toontrack- Drumkit From Hell) Bass - Stefan Sundberg(Nasses Dielselknappar, Ten Toes Up) Drums - Owe Lingvall(Nocturnal Rites, Village Road Film, Änglarna) | |
