Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Technicolor Noir | Technicolor Noir | TECHNICOLOR NOIR .. Noir as in "Film Noir", Movie buff, band songwriter & guitar player Astro's favorite film genre. And Technicolor as in "Technicolor Dreams" but, Noir. "Technicolor Noir" is the sub-genre where the Film Noir is shot in color... Hollywood colors! But, the story of the movie remains dark... which should be telling concerning our music versus our lyrics. A relatively new project, Technicolor Noir are from Paris' underground garage-rock scene; members feature : Astro, founder & lead guitarist, a veteran garage-rocker who previously played in the Tribe, Bang!, Scope, Bouton Rouge and numerous short-lived bands in-between... Eric, another veteran, but of the Paris indie pop-rock scene, mostly as ex.drummer and bassist in touring underground French singin' Power-Pop band, "La Moutarde Me Monte au Nez", with a record of 4 LPs; he now plays drums in Technicolor Noir... Yves, the original bass player who previously split after recording the group’s first 45 on “Dig The Fuzz’s Singles Club” limited issues is now back in the fold. He still leads, on the side (on guitar & vocals), his own Paris garage-rock band “Les Guillotines”, who had the privilege of being the first record released by the French indie label “Requiem Pour Un Twister” on their early subsidiary “Croque Macadam”. That label has since issued some records by “Triptides”, “The Proper Ornaments” or “The Young Sinclairs”... and Seva, direct from Russia, lead guitar and co-founder of the Karovas Milkshake, one of two of the most proeminent Russian garage-rock bands (the other being close friends, the Thunderbeats! ); he plays second guitar, alternating rhythm and leads, he sings lead on some tracks too. There you have the NEWEST line-up of this garage Folk-Rock project which started out as "Cloud Pilots" in 2013... ______ Members' bio. : Yves : likes singing about Guillotines (in French! ) and hunting wild ducks and boars when not singing hymns in churches on sundays! Dresses like a French Art Nouveau gentleman-detective (Hercule Poirot… with assorted mustache! ) and collects rare Garage 45s. A deerstalker cap would make his day, I presume. Seva : Russian spy and I with a French alibi. A delivery boy by trade, he fixes bicycles on the side but, after a past life making Karova Milkshakes, he really loves to quietly cultivate vegetables in his own backyard and occasionally teaches Jazz, writing musical scores. Currently Charging a Wave of Surf instrumental music… Astro : After watching late nights one too many Film Noirs, he had a bad Technicolor Dream that he should write garage-rock songs in his living-room... but, does so sporadically. He used to Bang and Scope out plans but nowadays, more often likes lazing around, listening to old records and going thru thrift-stores and bric-a-brocs on …lazy sunday afternoons; he’s a professional unemployed. An original Eastern halfcast « man-in-black », he hates Western patriots but likes their red, white and blue colors! • Eric : When not wearing casual jeans, tees and sneakers in his leisure time, bangin' on drums in his garage or breading children on weekends, he is the original Suit... the Man of Real Estate ! The only grown-up in the band who has a licence, drives a car around, takes care of business and manages the group’s budget. The most experienced of us all with 4 albums recorded under his belt... he is the Captain of our ship! |

Search | Add | 5 | Banda Unió Musical De Torrent | Banda Unió Musical De Torrent | Spanish wind orchestra from Torrent (Valencia) founded in 1973 by [a6086302]. It was the joint of Asociación Musical “La Clásica” and Banda de Música “Patronato De Juventud Obrera”. Also Junior orquestra since 1982, string section and chorus section since 1995. |

Search | Add | 5 | Judge Doom | G.P. Bailey X | N.V.One (My) Bio: (In Short) Born in Billings, MT and Raised in Southern California. N.V.One (The Naturally Violent One) had been in the system starting at age 6, which was also around the same age he witnessed his babysitter beat and murder another child right in front of him, creating what would be the beginning of an extensive list of mental health issues. Spent most of his life in and out of jail, until inevitably receiving a prison sentence in 2010 while living in southern Colorado. After being released from the Colorado State Penitentiary in 2015, he started working on his true passion once more, that being, Violent-Aggressive-Hardcore-Hip Hop. While not vacationing the judicial system, he spent most of his time crafting intelligent lyricism and clever rhymes to create Hip Hop with a Requiem for a Dream/They Live/Clockwork Orange Feel to it and establishing himself in the Hip Hop community as well as forming friendships with some of Hip Hop's other troubled greats. |

Search | Add | 5 | Jason A. Pizzolato | Jason A. Pizzolato is a musician from New Orleans, LA. Guitarist, composer, electronic music producer, digital visual artist, & rare-music archivist. Co-founder of, and guitarist for, the infamous New Orleans death metal band Apostasy from 1990- '96. Apostasy recorded a well-received cassette in 1993 called "Unholy Conversion" which was sold & traded throughout the tape-trading underground of the 1990s. Josh Eustis (Nine Inch Nails / Puscifer / Telefon Tel Aviv) was a vocalist in the band for a brief period. The band's live shows were notorious: audience members were often bombarded with raw meat, buckets of cow blood, maggot-infested dead birds, & other grisly items. In 1994, the band performed their final show at the Abstract Bookstore & Café alongside friends' bands Hangnail & The Satanic whose lineups included members of Flesh Parade, Crowbar, Mule Skinner, Eyehategod, Paralysis, Pantera, & Superjoint Ritual. A massive brawl broke out in the audience halfway through The Satanic's set, causing the show to end abruptly before its full completion. The show is considered by many to be legendary in New Orleans underground music history. After some years of musical inactivity, he began writing songs on guitar again in 2007. In February of 2013, he started an electronic music project called Mind of God, which is influenced by the likes of Scorn, Coil, & early SPK. Mind of God produces heavy, beat-driven, dark ambient dub. The project has received impressive accolades from Tristan Shone (Author & Punisher), John Everall (Tactile), members of Eyehategod, Loincloth, Nine Inch Nails, as well as Heathen Harvest Periodical, Tironas Magazine, & other notables. Several MOG albums have been released by various record labels, & the project's videos can be seen on YouTube & Vimeo. Apostasy appears in the book Tape Dealer, which was released by Seven Metal Inches Records in 2020. The book is an ode to the origins of Death Metal and the tape-trading phenomena, covering the years 1984 to 1994. Apostasy has a two-page spread in the book, including an interview with Pizzolato in which he discusses the recording of the "Unholy Conversion" demo, what gigs were like in New Orleans in the '80s & '90s, & the underground tape-trading network.

Search | Add | 5 | Büchner-Kapelle | German music band founded and directed by [a10529086]. For the orchestra, please use: [a3604659] All information is from the following site (maybe someone can revise my translation errors): https://grammophon-platten.de/page.php?422 "Max Büchner was a trained music teacher and one of the pioneers of gramophone and cylinder recordings. He was one of the most frequently recorded orchestras in the imperial era. He was one of the first to understand how to arrange recordings so that the final product sounded good. Büchner was probably born in Berlin in 1862. His father ran a cloakroom and costume rental shop in town in the 1880s. The son Max Büchner was first listed in the Berlin address book in 1887 - profession: music teacher. It can be assumed that in addition to this activity, he has already directed an orchestra. Unfortunately, the old newspapers from the 19th century rarely mention the name (s) of the Kapellmeister at events. Little is known about Max Büchner's actual professional career. 1901, Büchner then traded as Kapellmeister. Resident at Fürbringerstr. 28. In the meantime, Büchner has bought the parental home. Presumably the mother continues to hire masks and cloakrooms. According to the obituary, Max Büchner made his first (cylinder) recordings in 1898. This was followed by many recordings for the Edison company in Berlin. The musician (including straw violin and glockenspiel) and conductor operated here as the Edison Symphony Orchestra or the Berlin Symphony Orchestra. Some of the recordings on roller were also released in the USA. The first record companies quickly became aware of this "funnel - suitable" orchestra. Many recordings were probably made without naming their names. The "Büchner Orchestra" could also be hiding behind the collective term "orchestra" on recordings from the turn of the century. With increasing popularity, the name Büchner-Orchester, Berlin appears more and more on the labels. The recordings that were made under the direction of Max Büchner must be in the hundreds - possibly even more. The obituary suggests - Max Büchner spent a lot of time in the recording rooms for a wide variety of companies. The well-rehearsed repertoire covered almost the whole range of required music. From light classical music to marches and folk pieces, to antics and cakewalk, there was hardly a musical genre that the Büchner orchestra did not take up. For the busy musician and quasi-king of the Berlin record studios, this secured a good livelihood with a high probability. Perhaps, however, he "took over" himself with all the jobs from the speaking machine industry; Max Büchner died in 1906 at the age of just 44 from complications from a cold."

Search | Add | 5 | Teldja | Saadia Bakhouch | Saadia Bakhouch known as Teldja ثلجة is an Algerian singer born in Aïn Beïda on June 12, 1953. The main merit of this great singer is in contributing to renew and divulge a musical style known as Chaoui belonging to the culture of the Berber people with the same name. The Chaouis (Amazigh: Icawiyen) are an ethnic group inhabiting the Aurès (Amazigh: ⴰⵡⵔⴰⵙ / Awras), a region located in the north east of Algeria, characterized by a rich history and by the mountain that gives the name to the region. Teldja proposes a revision of the musical heritage of this region, sometimes reinterpreting it using a classically Arabic orchestration, which still arouses various criticisms by various members of the Algerian Berber community who have always considered arabization as absolute evil. Very little is known about the biography of this artist whose art has been gradually forgotten. It seems she have begun to sing at parties and weddings in the early '70s. In 1976 she performed in the city of Ouenza in the company of the folkloric band, generating great appreciation and starting a brilliant but brief career. She has never left her region of origin and has lived between the cities of Annaba and Tebessa, recording several songs among which the best known are: "Ya Salah", "Talaa netsawar" and "Tiri tiri ya teyyara ". During her career she has collaborated with some of the best Algerian composers including: Rabah Driassa and Mohamed Boulifa. In 1984 she was invited for an official performance in the city of Constantine, since then the news about her disappears. |

Search | Add | 5 | TPMP | renjie zhao | TPMP is particularly good at deconstructing Techno, especially with a strong experimental approach to create conflicts with Techno, and after this experimental conflict, return to Techno's kernel again. TPMP is an electronic music arranger, mixer, mastering engineer and Eurorack modular designer. He is living in Chengdu a new upcoming Techno city in China. He was early on into electronic music and his production style is greatly influenced by BT, The Future Sound of London and Enigma. Later on, his style gradually turned to TECHNO (style wise he was influenced by Echospace, Basic channel, and Maurizio obviously). He implemented these various styles into TECHNO to form his own experimental style. Integrating EPIC, Ambient, Glitch into the core of TECHNO has always been his main focus. After trying a lot of modular music production methods, in order to achieve its own unique TECHNO experimental style, he began in 2016 to independently develop its own eurorack modular, accumulated a lot of understanding of the relationship between live set and modular world. On the spot, TPMP has always insisted on controlling through the Modular live set, using Modular's greatest possibility to build a unique and unpredictable on-site perception, making the live experience full of possibilities. His LIVE SET contains psychedelic modulations from varies modular synth. |
