Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Drawing inspiration from various music genres prospected from thrift /op-shop picks and dollar bin crates. Inspired by local and international releases Impede is eager to leave his own imprint and interpretation on the ever increasing Australian and international audience.

Search | Add | 3 | I Hail Taxis | Stephen Hill | Stephen Hill began recording cassettes of his own songs under the name I Hail Taxis from about 1994. He recorded about a dozen of these, many of them sadly lost, before I joined him on his "Purple Trousers" tape in 1997. By the end of 1998 we had released 3 more tapes, an EP, had grown to a 5-piece band, performed one shambolic gig, appeared on TV (on Channel 4's Under the Moon performing "Tartan Army", IHT's alternative song for Scotland's World Cup team), changed the name to "The Sluice Room Review" and split up. Steve had no musical influences and wrote songs purely for his own amusement. His audience was me and a few other friends to whom he'd hand out his self-dubbed tapes on his own Bring! Records. Later tapes were released on cassette-only labels Bacchanalian Revel and Low Voltage, and the "Subscribe!" EP on the even more obscure Umbababayee. But I don't believe they sold well, even by cassette label standards. Unencumbered by ambition, musical training or an audience, Steve was free to sing whatever was on his mind. And going by the songs, what was on his mind was: day time television, science fiction, UFOs (this was an era when crop circles were seriously debated), archaeology, the OJ Simpson trial, Scotland, surreal humour (how else to categorise "Rod Stewart and Emu"?) and, of course, girls. Steve was never very comfortable when the band started to grow or we talked of gigging or self-promotion. He was happiest scribbling his silly songs in his notebook and recording them in one take in his living room. Towards the end of '98 he disappeared and the band was no more. I heard a rumour that he'd moved abroad but I never got confirmation of this, and neither I nor any of our mutual friends have heard from him since. Wherever he is, at least we still have his music. The world of I Hail Taxis is one many will recognise; that of a twice-daily Neighbours watcher and dreamer who refuses to grow up. So put on your purple trousers, get the Etch-a-Sketch from the car, and get ready to do the freezing cold jig whilst listening to the World of I Hail Taxis! From the website. |

Search | Add | 3 | Nono Manzanza | Originally from Kinshasa, Nono Manzanza began his musical career when he was very young. Very quickly, we find him in the Kinaxixi Musica group. In 1990, he settled down in Europe, joined [a=Diblo Dibala]'s Matchatcha. A world tour follows with his new acolytes. Then he decides to leave Paris for Orlando, in the United States where he will live for a year before settling permanently in Paris. He is often found alongside big names in African music such as [a=Papa Wemba], [a=Felix Wazekwa]. But it is his collaboration on [a=Kassav']'s Ktoz album that will confirm his talent and versatility. It is therefore no surprise that in 1999 he released his first album: Peace quite simply, a nod to the war that has been stirring the Congo for years. This spring 2015, he announced an EP, Carte sur table. There are songs in French and Lingala, his mother tongue. Between walks and current music, it is a real cultural mix that Nono offers us.

Rather than just a singer/songwriter, he’s an integral creator: His multi-layered lyrics can remind you of Rufus Wainwright; but his love for colorful, cinematic emotional contrasts reveals a wide range of influences stretching from dark cabaret to 2000s piano rock (Coldplay, Muse). After playing with various musical ensembles, Day Felice got signed to Rexius Records in the beginning of 2018 and released his debut single “Autumn” last summer. The track earned him a feature on prominent Swedish blog Popmuzik and a warm reception among European audiences. (Words from www.rexiusrecords.com) |

Formed by members Skill-J (Ivan Merčep), Phlaggma-T (Rade Tanjga) and a third member Droop in 1994. Droop soon left the group and was later replaced by DJ Tweaker (Ljubo Čanić) who handled most of the production on their material. The group became more known in Croatian Rap community as they appeared on The Beat Fleet's 1997 debut album and the first croatian Hip-Hop compilation "Hip-Hop Generacija 2000" in late 1998. Later, they signed to Kondorcomm label to release their only album "Miš Impossible III". DJ Tweaker left the group while they were recording it in late 2000-early 2001. Due to the financial fraud by their label manager they disbanded in 2001 soon after the album dropped. Phlaggma and Skill re-joined forces in 2006 and began performing again as Dhirtee III Ratz , returning with some new recorded material. |

Search | Add | 3 | Neuf Voix | Elvio Seta | Neuf Voix, pseudonym of Elvio Seta, is an Italian composer specializing in sound synthesis and experimental composition. His work delves into sound and harmony perception, connecting the combination of avant-garde compositional systems and their alternative use. His technique focuses on a detailed analysis of the composition’s fundamental elements, deeply exploring both the microscopic structure of sound – thanks to complex sound synthesis and manipulation machines – and that of harmony and counterpoint, drawing on 20th-century avant-garde compositional such as dodecaphony and the microtonal system. |

Search | Add | 3 | Under A Black Sun | Under a Black Sun is a dark, experimental musical project that came to fruition in the fall of 2005. "Descend as Wolves" was the first of several obscurely, self-released albums that have come into existence. While the music typically consists of incessant, repetitous guitar chords strummed amidst a wall of hauntically evocative noise-scapes, the lyrics deal with recurrent themes of existential darkness, contemplative nihilism/nihility, as well as a seemingly ever unfolding occult philosophy. Bordering somewhere between neo-folk, experimental ambient and ritual noise, Under a Black Sun still manages to stand alone as a pioneer of a uniquely dark, personal and uncompromising musical niche.

Search | Add | 3 | KP Devlin | At the age of five when his parents took him to see a Pete Seeger/Arlo Guthrie concert, KP Devlin’s interest in music took root. His interest grew as he began to write poetry and while in college in New York in the early 90’s got his first guitar. Revering Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits, he started to write his own songs and began performing live in NYC. His first CD, Spirit of the Mule, came out in 1995. Since then he has toured the US and Australia and has received airplay in those countries as well as in Belgium, Holland, Costa Rica and other parts of the globe. In early 2014 he released his 9th CD, entitled Violescent. Of his work, listeners have said that it’s "eclectic, always compelling." He uses words not only for their meaning but because of the way they sound, completely stripped of meaning. Devlin strives to follow his own mystical vision and shies away from being constrained to one particular genre. As he says, "I just know that I hear music in my head and each record I make gets closer to sounding like that." In Violescent, to satisfy his fascination with ethnic music as well as early music, Devlin blends the two by his use of uilleann pipes, tin whistle, hurdy gurdy, viola da gamba and krumhorns. The result is distinctly Irish with a flavor of the renaissance. At the same time, he incorporates upright bass, drums and electric guitars to produce more of a rock context. In earlier recordings, he embraces a wide variety of ethnic music and instruments including Mexican (trumpets), Indian (sitar), Middle Eastern (oud), Chinese (erhu) and Greek (bouzouki). Accompanying him on Violescent are many fine musicians including Eric Bazilian (the Hooters, Joan Osborne) and Sammy Merendino (Cyndi Lauper). From that first inspiration when he was five years old, he has honed and continues to sharpen his musical sense into what is distinctly Devlin.
