Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Maysun MAYSUN offers immersive instrumental music that evokes melancholy, acceptance and hope. This project combines drums, synthesizers and sound design to create a universe where the digital and the organic merge. Releases include works such as Wanderlust II (2022), Waiting Spaces (2020), The After Mountain (2020) and more than 700 improvisational pieces between 2017 and today. MAYSUN’s work explores the relationship between the temporality and spatiality of sound. This project is based around the use of sounds from real life environment and transforming them into musical tones to be used in the creation of soundscapes. The sounds sampled are transformed using tape cassette, physical spaces, modular synthesis, feedback and effect pedals. This allows the sound to be altered in pitch spliced and stretched, adding imperfections and artifacts along the way. The compositions are created as if they were soundtracks to life events. This process aims to add depth to the listening experience by giving a sense of time and space throughout the music.

Search Add 3 Cor Meibion Mynydd Mawr A male choir - Mynydd Mawr Male Voice Party - started in the Tumble area in 1913, under the baton of Tom Morgan, Gwendraeth View, Tyisha Road, Tumble, though there is an earlier record of a choir of the same name dating back to 1908. This choir performed at the official opening of the Cross Hands Public Hall in 1911 and in its formative years, the choir was successful in competitions at Abergwili and Swansea. Tom Morgan was succeeded by Peter Edwards, Llechyfedach, Tumble who continued the success of the choir winning fourteen successive First Prizes in competitions most notably with its test piece - Protheroe's 'Crusaders'. The first appearance by the choir in an Eisteddfod was in Flint in 1969 when it gained Third Prize. The experience paid dividends when in the following year at Ammanford, the choir clinched the First Prize in competition with five others when being award 282 points - an unusual feature in that it was 8 marks ahead of all others. This exciting success brought glory to Tumble and the surrounding districts from which choristers were drawn as this was the first time a choir from the area had won First Prize at a National Eisteddfod.
