Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026

Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Later in life, Grish worked within the promotion and A&R department at the record label responsible for Technotronic’s success, was resident DJ at one of the hottest clubs in Belgium, hosted a weekly national radio show, organized and hosted some of the largest dance events in Belgium, and wrote a Belgian top 10 hit record – it’s safe to say this DJ / producer is a man of many, many talents. Grish moved to the US in 2011 and now lives in the heart of the Las Vegas valley, and his love for music is stronger than ever. In 2021, his worldwide debut release ‘After The Storm‘ hit #1 in the iTunes Trance chart in Japan and #2 on the Beatport Trance Releases chart. The follow up ‘Hold Me’ also reached the top 10 in the Beatport Melodic House/Techno chart, and was used in several viral TikTok videos with over 1.8 million views and counting. Grish has shared the stage at various Las Vegas clubs with progressive / melodic house legends like Nora En Pure, Avoure, Aname, Cosmic Gate, Nils Hoffmann, Maor Levi, Spencer Brown, Dirty South, Le Youth, Jeremy Olander, Gabriel & Dresden, Gareth Emery and more!

Search Add 3 President Blair John Myers This alias of Jon 7's is kind of an in-joke. In one area of Eugene, Oregon, the streets are named after presidents, but on the streets where they would have had to duplicate a president's name, they've named the street something else. One of those streets is Blair Blvd., which stretches from the hearing center to the trainyards, and courses directly through tweekertown, also known as Whiteaker. On this street, Eugene's finest toothless hookers roam the streets at night, and young people who have no idea what they got themselves into jitter, jaw and jabber til sunrise.

Search Add 3 Curse Of Samsara CURSE of SAMSARA was an epic metal outfit from Philadelphia, PA active from 2009-2015. Drawing influence from thrash, death, black and power metal, Samsara takes the listener on a journey through the bowels of consciousness, expressing in it’s dark form the legend of life as we know it, that which we've been fooled to believe. Twisting harmonic patterns intertwined with chunky speed riffage, rhythmic intensity, and melodic interludes forge the phenomenon of this heavy metal band.

Search Add 3 Deep Groove Soul Erick Prudencio One of the things that keeps this dude much hypnotized is overnight and those sounds that surround it. This has been one of the metaphors a bit strange since its beginnings in the world of music, since their backgrounds have been identified with the electronic music at an early age. It was so Erick gave life to one of their projects with the purpose of bringing more than dancing, something phenomenal that makes vibrate the feelings of the people. At 18 years of age he began to produce with different styles of music influenced by Techno and House music, bringing a constant practice that would lead him to do more things than he could have it thought. It was at this time, when it began with a second new project (since having a first draft in progress), and due to the influences of Soul, Funk, Disco music, as well as the music of the 80s and 90s was created in what has been called Deep Groove Soul.

Search Add 3 Enrique Casanova Enrique Valentín Casanovas canta-autor y escritor paraguayo.

Search Add 3 Arizenme Early in the year 2000 5 friends of mutual musical influences assembled to form a band by the name of Kayne who would soon be known better as ARIZENME. The original lineup for the band was Rian Smith-vocals, Justin Wood-percussion, Dale Dickerson-guitar, Seth Johnson-bass guitar, and Joseph Rodriguez-guitar. At first they were playing primarily cover songs with only limited original material. The band spent almost an entire year practicing and writing material before they played their fist live show. The band's sound soon met its audience in Houston's metal and hardcore scenes and continues to do nothing but grow in size. In February of 2002 guitar player Dale Dickerson decided to leave the band due to creative differences. After Dale parted ways with the band they had to rework a lot of their material so it could be played as a four-piece. After a few months of work the band had rediscovered their musical tightness and decided to go into the studio and record their first CD. In the later months of 2002 Arizenme once again pondered the idea of acquiring a second guitar player. In October of 2002 the band soon found the missing piece of their equation in long-time friend Daniel Caldwell. Since then Daniel has been a dynamic addition to Arizenme's audio onslaught. Arizenme welcomes 2003 with the release of their first CD. This self-titled debut promises to leave audiences hungry and anxious for more. Arizenme's sound can't be summarized in just one or two songs. Each song has something different and innovative to offer and no 2 songs are alike. The energy of an Arizenme show is constantly on the rise each show a little crazier than the last. When Arizenme plays, crowds move because their music is real and it's raw. "We put our hearts and souls into our music and we hope the crowd can appreciate that, and all we want from anyone is their respect." ~Joseph and Rian. Arizenme has shared stages with national acts such as The Dillenger Escape Plan, Prong, Mastadon, and Dust for Life as well as local bands such as Fault, Four, The End of Irony, Sore, and many others. Arizenme has come a long way in a fairly short amount of time and they plan to continue to do so far into the future.

Search Add 3 Sheldon Pickering Sheldon Pickering is a composer/performer who strives to convey peace, joy, and inspiration though the music he creates and shares. He was asked by a studio engineer what he was going to be doing on a project and why. His answer was, "I don't know." At this point, Sheldon realized he had separated his art from any particular agenda and that he does it simply because he loves to do it. Music brings him immense joy and peace and if he can share those feelings with those fortunate to hear his music then it "adds to the fun." Sheldon resides in New Mexico with his lovely wife and four beautiful children. He considers himself extremely blessed to have been able to return the priceless gift of adoption to two of his children. When he isn't working or performing he can be found traveling, riding bikes, and exploring the immense every day joys of this life with his family.

Search Add 3 Wiener Blue(s) The Wiener Blue(s) deals with the meaning and processing of old and new Viennese songs and their historical background. Wiener Blue(s) shines with its inimitable, unique musical style, whether it be frivolous stories from the 1500-year-old Austrian fairytale country, cheerful anecdotes from the world of civil servants or the only authorized group to be able to set “Josef Weinheber”. Wiener Blue(s) interprets old Viennese songs (up to 250 years old) as well as contemporary Viennese songs, original compositions or mega hits by Austropop. No wonder, since there are two founding members of the legendary [a86413]: [a565213] and [a565212]. Eik with vocals, parodies and stories, Nino with violin, acoustic guitar and bass. [a746588] (percussion / guitar / bass) composed hits like "Hexen" (1st place in the Austrian hit parade) or "Ikarus", a hit by the Austropop icon [a280917]. [a1042694] (accordion / piano / vocals) founded the band "THE SOUL FAMILY" with his then wife [a446832] and [a446831] in 1994. A year later he started the acapella with Klaus Kofler, Wilfried and Eik Breit - a comedy project [a2148303], to which Nino Holm later joined. And last but not least there is singer Peter Steinbach. He claims "not to be a singer, just to perform songs". Well, maybe he doesn't have a “trained opera voice”, which would not fit at all, but he does a wonderful lecture and is sensitive to the lyrics with voice and facial expressions. With a lot of humor and Viennese charm, he also tells one or two interesting stories about the origin and meaning of the songs. Wiener Blue(s) has up to max. 60 appearances every year and never in front of empty houses. No more appearances will be undertaken - because "otherwise it will degenerate into stress and quality will suffer" - so says the tenor of Wiener Blue(s).

Search Add 3 Tearless Gothic Metal band from Croatia that formed in Autumn 2003 when Zlatko Kušter (guitar, vocal) gathered some of his friends (Marko Bregović, Zoran Ernoić) into a cover band. Soon after, the band started to make their own songs and develop their own musical style. At that point, Matija Brežni(keyboards), Josip Cujzek (bass) and Kristina Mojzeš joined Tearless. After a while, Kristina leaves the band, and Ivana Vuglač takes place as a female vocalist. In that period, they have recorded their first demo cd called "Reverie" (2005.), containing four tracks. They have made a few live gigs, but because of some personal reasons of band members, Tearless was forced to be put "on hold". More than one year of pause made Zlatko to gather another band, called Seed Of Evil, but performing songs that Zlatko wrote for Tearless. In 2007, Davor Kušen (lead guitar), Miran Špičko (drums) and Zoran Druško (keyboards) where the new members of SOE, the band that soon takes the name "Tearless" again. Lucija Geček joins the band as a new female vocalist, and after some while, another demo cd called "World Of Shadows" was recorded. Because of their personal problems, a few members of Tearless are leaving the band and from that time on, Tearless is trying to find new members to continue their work. Ivan Bahunek (lead guitar) joins Tearless, as well as Filip Babić (bass) and Luka Ivić (keyboards). Manda Sviben joined as the new female vocalist, Marin Borščak (drums) joined at the same time, and this formation represents the band in his best light. The affection for this kind of music reflects trought the fact that even that there has been lots of changes in band formation, all the guys and the girls in the band gave their best when they where a part of Tearless. In 2012. the band is gathering once again. With Filip Babić on bass guitar and Miran Špičko on drums, sisters Juriša, Antonija (keyboards) and Lucija (vocals), and Alen Horvat (lead guitar). Soon after, they recorded some new promo stuff and put it on a cd called "Deathwish". Alen was dismissed from the band and Siniša Godinić took over his place as a lead guitar player.

The three members of GemValleyMusiQ (22-yo Comfort Mphahlele aka Rushky D' MusiQ , 23-yo Phuti Makhafola aka Phuddy Jay and 18-yo Ofentse Mauwane aka Drumonade) kept some of the basic principles of classic Amapiano : mid-tempo BPMs, syncopated beats and energetic, party-oriented vocals. But they stripped out the warmth and sweetness of the original version and made room for robotic vibes an eerie feel of never-ending pressure. They produce mid-tempo house music, like regular Amapiano, but its swing sounds from another world : it's called the "clunk bass", and it's both dark and uplifting. Around it moves two-note motifs and drum patterns, with jazzy vamps and sunrise-ready synths. This is music you could almost chill to, but actually mental enough to make you go slowly crazy on the dancefloor. Recently, GemValleyMusiQ released the single Jozi Night which was considered as one of the hottest viral songs on TikTok last summer. And they remixed of the French pop band Phoenix. It's coming from the future, and this is now out on PSSNGR, a new label dedicated to emerging African electronic.

Search Add 3 Carnival Crash Carnival Crash was a relatively short-lived band whose members scattered into a veritable Who’s Who of New York post-punk bands: Swans, Live Skull, Ritual Tension, Chavez and others. Their legacy of recordings, compiled on “It Is A Happy Man” (Obelisk Records), stands the test of time. Born out of the late-'70s punk scene, the band emerged during the vibrant early-'80s New York City post-punk movement. John Griffin brought the Brooklyn streets, heavily steeped in doo-wop and rock’n’roll but with Captain Beefheart and Rimbaud in the mix. Norman Westberg came from Detroit, and brought that sensibility and an eagerness to plunge in. Ivan Nahem was the drummer in late-70s San Francisco punk band The Situations. All the players had been on board with the first wave of punk, but were now searching beyond that for something different in New York City, which, by 1980, was turning in a new direction. Without trying too hard to be earnest, and not lacking a sense of humor, the newly formed band had a certain darkness and intensity that fit the member’s new geography perfectly. Carnival Crash’s music isn’t anti-rock or Noise; there is melody and dramatic dynamics in the instruments and voices. Important influences, besides Beefheart, were Alice Cooper, Joy Division, The Birthday Party, Wire, Bush Tetras and The Contortions. The seeds of Carnival Crash were planted on the west coast. Ivan and his brother Andrew Nahem, along with Tom Paine and Mark C., had formed the band Crop while in California. Ivan, Tom and Mark then migrated to New York City in 1980, and soon began auditioning guitar players. But there were disagreements over direction, and Ivan eventually left the band, which later became Live Skull. He went on to form Carnival Crash with John Griffin, and recruited guitarist Norman Westberg, whom he had met at a Crop audition. With Norman in the band, they began gigging as a trio around their East Village home base. They performed at loft parties and the seminal noise rock/second generation punk venue A7, as well as more established and now legendary clubs, like CBGBs and Tramps. John and Ivan were both writing lyrics and singing, but were looking actively for a lead singer. When auditions didn’t turn up anyone, Ivan got up from behind the drums and became the band’s front man. Future Live Skull alumnus James Lo was brought in to take his place. In the short history of the band, there were two recording sessions. Still in trio formation, the first was in 1981 at George Kaufman’s loft rehearsal studio, employing his TEAC 4-track recorder. Ivan and John shared vocal duties. In 1982, when the band was a four piece, they went into Noise NY to record more tracks. Unfortunately, during these sessions the band split up. Ivan decided to release two of the tracks as a single (Edge of Night b/w Tell Tale Heart), which was critically lauded at the time. He used the moniker Ivan X. Norman Westberg went on to join Swans, which would become his home for many decades. These days he’s performing and recording solo. His work has been well-received and has a strong following. Ivan and his brother Andrew (who, incidentally, are the sons of major league baseball pitcher Sam Nahem) formed Ritual Tension with Michael Shockley and Marc Sloan. They persisted through the Eighties and into the early 1990s, releasing four records: I Live Here LP / Hotel California EP (Sacrifice/ILA), Blood of the Kid (CBGB/Celluloid), and Expelled (Safe House). Ritual Tension has recently re-formed. They are playing out and just recorded a new album at Mark C’s Deepsea Studio in Hoboken. The new album, called “It’s Just The Apocalypse, It’s Not The End”, will be released this Fall on Arguably Records. John Griffin continued producing work as a painter and musician; his most recent efforts can be accessed here: https://thegriffinmorrisseycatastrophe.bandcamp.com/track/crow . His goat Moondog was chosen as 2018’s WFMU mascot. Besides Live Skull, James Lo has played in the acclaimed band Chavez.
