Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025

Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Wendy Farrell-Pastore Wendy Farrell-Pastore Wendy "Darling" Blackwood is a photographer and backing vocalist most notably for the band Edison's Children & Rick Armstrong (Son of Neil Armstrong). Her stage name Wendy Darling Blackwood is a combination of being given the moniker "Wendy Darling" in honor of his song Neverland by the band Marillion in the liner notes of Marillion's album "Sounds That Can't Be Made" under Steve Hogarth's credits: "h would like to thank "Eric Pastore (Blackwood) and Wendy Darling". It is the first time that her new stage name "Wendy Darling" appears in any publication. The last name of Blackwood came in credit to her husband Eric Blackwood lead singer and lead guitarist of Edison's Children whom she married in 2000. Wendy has created all of the interior artwork, CD plate and album covers for every one of Edison's Children's 8 releases (4 full length albums, 2 EP's, 1 Making of CD, 1 Vinyl Release) and all 3 of Rick Armstrong (Son of Neil Armstrong/Bassist-Guitarist-Keyboardist for Edison's Children) as well as doing backing vocals for Edison's Children's, "Where Were You" / "Where Were You" (Jakko's King Crimson Mix) / "Seventh Sign" / "Seventh Sign (Single Edit)" on the Edison's Children albums "The Final Breath Before November" and "Somewhere Between Here and There". Wendy is co-author of the "coffee table book" 500 Ballparks" for Thunder Bay Publishing in 2 Editions in which Wendy personally photographed 500 baseball parks around the world. Search Add 2 The Bluemont Singers The group began as the Bluemont Singers, a folk group created in 1962 at K-State by Dimmitt and three of his fraternity brothers, Dimmitt said. They performed for university and fraternity functions and other organizations in Manhattan and the surrounding area. They even won a spot on Ted Mack’s “The Original Amateur Hour,” appearing on national television Jan. 6, 1963. However, a bigger break for the group came that summer when the New Christy Minstrels recruited the regular folk group at the Castaways Lounge in Kansas City, Mo. (Gene Clark, who would later become part of the Byrds, was one of the singers the Christys recruited.) The Castaways, suddenly left without entertainment, hired the Bluemonts to play out the month, then occasionally on the weekends and the following summer. About the same time, Schlosser, a talented bass player, joined the Bluemonts while still in high school. A Kansas City record company recorded them for a live LP album, “The Bluemont Singers at the Castaways.” Another highlight of the summer of ’64, Dimmitt said, was when Connie Stevens, who performed at Starlight Theater, stopped by and sang a couple of songs with the Bluemonts nervously backing the star of “Hawaiian Eye.” The group continued to play the Castaways and the Vanguard Coffee House, also in Kansas City, through their college days, but disbanded as they pursued graduate school and careers. However, Dimmitt and Schlosser, both attorneys, continued to play together in other groups, such as the Kaw Valley Skillet Lickers, the Barristers and the Shyster Mountain Gang.

Search Add 2 The Oak Street Ramblers Madison, WI Though their influences hail from much further south, the Oak Street Ramblers call home the East Side of Madison, WI. A bluegrass band in the tradition of Flatt and Scruggs, Jimmy Martin, and Hazel Dickens, the Oak Street Ramblers specialize in bluegrass stompers, classic country weepers, and originals that, lyrical content aside, wouldn’t sound out of place at a barn dance circa 1954. The band is comprised of Ian Alderman on guitar, dobro, and vocals, Annie Emmenegger on guitar and vocals, Jeff Kunkle on bass, Mark Schlutt on banjo and vocals, and Tina Thompson on fiddle. The Ramblers started playing out at the legendary Wonder’s Pub in 2004, and they currently have a monthly residency at the Harmony Bar and Grill. They have acquired a solid fan base, sold thousands of copies of their two albums, and have been voted a favorite Madison-area folk/bluegrass/Americana band on multiple occasions.

Search Add 2 L.B.R.P. Collaboration project between [a=Adam Matlock] and [l=Attic Shrines] label (original source material by Adam Matlock was modified and edited by Attic Shrines). "I want to speak about [L.B.R.P.] a bit as it was, as far as my dungeon synth work goes, a fairly unusual one in that it was a collaboration. I won’t go into to much detail, but my original material, recorded on 4 track in the course of 2 days, and submitted to Attic Shrines, who released it. But Attic Shrines headquarters, built as it is atop a huge deposit of unpronounceable minerals, is not a kind place to tapes. Something happens to them there - some entity, fascinated with the potentiality of analog media, takes them apart at a molecular level, and reassembles them without great care for accuracy. The result was corrupted, rearranged. Jazz people would say “Teo’d”. It was definitely an intriguing process for me as a composer and one I hope to embark upon again."

Since these breakthrough pieces, her choreography has been grounded in a rigorous and prolific exploration of the relationship between dance and music. She has created with Rosas a wide-ranging body of work engaging the musical structures and scores of several periods, from early music to contemporary and popular idioms. Her choreographic practice also draws formal principles from geometry, numerical patterns, the natural world, and social structures to offer a unique perspective on the body’s articulation in space and time. Search Add 2 谷口雅春 Masaharu Taniguchi (谷口 雅春) Masaharu Taniguchi (谷口 雅春, Taniguchi Masaharu, 22 November 1893 – 17 June 1985) was a Japanese New Thought leader, founder of [a=Seicho-No-Ie]. He began studying English literature at the Waseda University, Tokyo. In parallel, he also studied the works of Fenwicke Holmes, and subsequently translated Holmes' book, The Law of Mind in Action into Japanese. In 1929, after much study and contemplation, he reported having received a divine revelation followed by the healing of his daughter. This led in 1930 to the creation of a magazine, Seicho-no-Ie ("home of infinite life, wisdom, and abundance"). The movement grew during the 1930s, although was suppressed during World War II. In 1952, he co-authored a book with Fenwicke Holmes titled The Science of Faith. Taniguchi died in a Nagasaki hospital on June 17, 1985, at the age of ninety-one.
