Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 8 | Nu No | Nuno Marques Pinto | Nuno Marques Pinto (NU. NO) is a portuguese actor and performer, who has been a presence in the portuguese punk scene since the 80’s. Finding his way in the world of underground theatre through the 90s and early 2000s, he eventually started working with sounds, focusing on the (de)construction of language and the manipulation of pre-recorded spoken materials. The voice is the main instrument, moving from repetitive eccentric vocalizations to abstract electronics landscapes, using repetition, distortion, noise and screams in a way that sounds unheard and liberated from schemes or clichés, giving precedence to the pre-verbal forms of language to disturb its functional logic. He produced a handful of ultra limited cdrs and tapes, as well as some noticeable live performances |

| Search | Add | 8 | Deep Memories | DEEP MEMORIES is an One Man Band from Americana - São Paulo - BRAZIL founded by multi instrumentalist and producer Douglas Martins in 2016. After leaving the Brazilian Death/Black Metal band DESDOMINUS in 2005 Douglas Martins remained composing material. The result came to be Deep Memories. In musical terms, the compositions demonstrate cadence, heaviness and different nuances, mixing melody and aggressiveness with beautiful guitars duets, an atmosphere that refers to great icons of Death, Doom, Gothic and Progressive Metal with vocals varying from speeches, singing, choirs and the most pungent screamed and guttural. The lyrical thematic revolves around the very name “DEEP MEMORIES”. Douglas Martins talked about it: “When we read these words, we are immediately referred to memories of very significant moments of our existence as illnesses and death, disappointments, obsessions, moments of panic and depression and if we speak in psyche, we have totally inaccessible records in our memories that store lapses few explored by the human race". This is the lyrical theme of DEEP MEMORIES: Expose what these memories produced, produce and still influence in the direction of the intellectual, social and spiritual character of the human race. The debut album was recorded, produced and masterized by Douglas Martins during some sessions between 2016 and 2018 at AJM Studio in Americana - São Paulo. On June 21th, 2018 was released in all social medias the first Music Video from the song “The Bitter Taste of Illusion”. The receptiveness was great among the worldwide headbangers and specialized media. On July 3rd, 2018 was released by labels Heavy Metal Rock and Misanthropic Records an promotional EP containing 2 songs taken from upcoming full-length album. “When the Time For My Last Breath Comes” and “The Bitter Taste of Illusion” were selected for this release. This EP is called “IN TOO DEEP…”. On September 17th, 2018 a Lyric Video for “When the Time For My Last Breath Comes” was released. This video was produced by Razia Vídeos. The full-length album “REBUILDING THE FUTURE” was released simultaneously in Brazil, Japan and Russia in September 21th, 2018 by: Heavy Metal Rock and Misanthropic Records (Brazil), Invasion of Solitude Records (Japan) and GS Productions (Russia). This album is also available on all digital plataforms (SPOTIFY, DEEZER, iTUNES...). Douglas Martins also developed the front artwork from Brazilian and Russian editions. The Japanese edition has an exclusive front artwork developed by CadiesArt (DragonForce, Doro Pesch). On November 6th, 2018 was the release date of a new lyric video for "Suffocating Grayish Darkness". This video was produced by Igor Sacilloto, who worked on the videoclip "Lying in State" of Megadeth. “REBUILDING THE FUTURE” was nominated as one as the best 2018 releases in Brazil by some specialized media like METAL NA LATA, HEAVY METAL THUNDER BLOG, ROADIE CREW MAG, ARTE METAL BLOG and CANGAÇO RÁDIO ROCK. | |

| Search | Add | 8 | Tony Teebo | Arthur Antone Thiebaut Jr. | Tony Teebo (aka, Tony Thiebaut), by age 13, had taught himself to play drums & piano, while living on the family farm, near Fort Scott, KS. At 17, in 1962, he joined the United States Air Force, right after graduating from high school. He graduated at the top of his classes in training & became a Medical Service Specialist. In November, 1963, he was Honorably Discharged, with Service Medals, Citations & Diplomas. Upon his return to Kansas, he formed his first band, “The Aardvarks,” a regional favorite for about five years. In 1968, his second band, “The New Survivors,” recorded at Hi-Fidelity Studios in Wichita, KS, on the Kan Wic Label. The bands first record, “The Pickle Protest,” written by Tony, became a #1 regional hit, & was quickly, picked up by Scepter Records of New York, New York. The record was selected as a “Bill Gavin Personal Pick,” along with “Hey Jude.” This was a first for any band from Kansas. The band’s label mates, included, B. J. Thomas, Little Richard, Deep Purple, Dionne Warwick & The Shirelles. Unfortunately, the band’s five-record contract with Scepter was cancelled after their manager cashed a $150,000 advance check, & vanished! 1970 - 1972, Tony was elected by fellow music students, as Student Director of the Fort Scott Community College, Stage & Concert band’s, as well at the largest, College Marching Band in the United States. Tony led this band down the field, at the televised, National Junior College Football Championship…the Shrine Bowl, in Savannah, Georgia, December, 1971. FSCC won against Mesa, AZ! While attending FSCC, he formed, “Shootin’ Bluz,“ with first-chair horn players from the concert band. This was a 7 piece group, & performed with a “light show,” produced by Roger Aldis…“Rogers Rainbow.“ 1972, while attending Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS, Tony auditioned & was given the position of lead singer with another horn band, “The Sensational Showmen.” This group performed a reunion concert, as a Humanities For The Arts, event in 2008, & were inducted into the Kansas Music Hall (2) Of Fame, in 2009. In the mid 70’s, he was signed as a solo, songwriter/recording artist with GRT/Catfish, Nashville. GRT released several singles, with the most successful being, “Rock & Roll Cowboy,” which topped Canadian Charts. Some label mates at GRT, included, Mickey Gilley, Jimmy Buffett, Van Morrison, Kool & The Gang, Steely Dan, & The Mamas & Papas. In 1975, Teebo was elected, under his legal name, as an ASCAP Songwriter, with ASCAP advancing him several, thousand dollars, to help his career. In January, 1981, Teebo’s recording of, “Welcome Home,” was played at the White House, in honor of the release of American Hostages, by the government of Iran. 1980’s: Tony was contracted to sing four-part-harmony on a Skeeter Davis, recording, & he recorded a set of songs with Janie Fricke singing his background tracks. He was also fortunate enough to record with the famous, Bobby Hardin Singers, & Hargus “Pig” Robbins on piano. Most of his recording was done at Producers Workshop, in Oklahoma City, with additional recording at Ojas, Studio 7, Benson Sound, Them Girls, & the Dick Wilkinson Studios, also in OKC. His “Kick-N-Lick” project, began at Ojas, continued at Billy’s Band Aid in Amarillo, & was mastered at the famous Bill Rase Studio, in Sacramento, CA. Tony also recorded at LSI & Woodland Studios in Nashville. In 1992, while living in Colorado Springs, CO, Tony wrote a performance review & interviewed The Marshal Tucker Band for Steppin‘ Out Magazine. The editor was impressed, & within a month, Tony had a ten-page, weekly section in Steppin’ Out, called Western World. Over the next several years, he reviewed many performers including, Billy Dean, Mark Chesnutt, Yakov Smirnoff, Wayne Newton, Toby Keith, Fess Parker, Johnny Paycheck, Chris Ledoux, Highway 101, Confederate Railroad, Waylon Jennings, Doug Stone, Glen Campbell, Ray Stevens, Andy Williams, Roy Clark, President & Mrs. Bush (Senior), Moe bandy, John Anderson, Johnny Cash, Jim Stafford & T.G. Sheppard, & penned dozens of informational articles dealing with a myriad of subjects. In 1997, Tony was contacted by Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, & contracted as lead singer with the Show Band, “Northern Lights.” The band played the main showroom, “Anchors Aweigh,” to a full-house of 735 cruisers, six nights a week. Other performers included The Captain & Tennille, &The 5th Dimension. He rates this experience as a career highlight. His first, self-recorded CD, “Timeless,” was released in 2001. This CD collected many, positive newspaper reviews & continues selling today. In 2008, he won First Place at the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival, for his instrumental composition, “For The Fallen.” 2012 saw the release of his second, solo CD, “Small Consolation.,” another critically acclaimed project. Teebo’s first self-recorded, instrumental project, “Earth Touch,” was released in 2012. This project was created to draw further attention to the continued destruction of the worlds Rain Forests. His music has been used for nearly two decades, in the television series, “Pay Back,” in Spain, & his various recordings are currently being played in all European & Scandinavian Countries as well as The United Kingdom & New Zealand. Tony has written, produced & performed dozens of regional, national & international “jingles.” A few examples being, Sonic Drive Ins, Shell Oil Company, The Cox Cable Network, & The American Dental Assn. Tony’s compilation, music projects, that include Children’s & Educational Music, have sold in the millions. Tony is currently working on a Civil War Music Project, an American History Music Project, & a Children’s Book with accompanying music. Teebo has also worked in a dozen movies, television series & NBC World Movies. Tony is the owner of Jammer Moth Productions, a full-service production company. |

| Search | Add | 8 | Aldfrith | Daniel Rodrigo Vieira | Aldfrith, the name of a king of Northumbria (a mediaeval kingdom of the Angles) who ruled between 685–704/705, borrows his name to the new project of Daniel Disneycrusher (aka Daniel Death), encompasses dark ambient music inspired by Henrik Nordvargr Bjork (and his countless projects), Karjalan Sissit, Horchata (mainly from the album ISOLATED HOUSE), Samsa, Vestigial, Atrium Carceri, Desiderii Marginis, Raison D’être, Inade, Atrax Morgue and older experimental pathfinders like Brian Eno, Karlheinz Stockhausen, John Cage, Edgard Varèse and newer names like Arktau Eos, Opium Warlords and Blitzkrieg Baby. However, those are just nominal influences, since Daniel opted in not hearing such artists during the time he was creating From Northumbria to Mehrgarh (his first work), in order to seize the moment of alacrity, creating the layers of the songs often in just one take, rapidly editing, and not focusing in fancy editing. As of May 10th 2013, Daniel Death created another hard-to-get opus called Combinatorial Explosion May Result in The Curse of Dimentionality merging the very same elements that was used to create From Northumbria to Mehrgarh, but with more experimentations Moreover, Aldfrith is the creation of the artiste in his Dämmerung, questioning what is true art and what is not. What can be done in the field of music that still wasn’t been done. Trying to empathically understand why such a hive of so-called musicians perceive themselves as being “avant-garde” in this internet era where anyone in anywhere can produce stuff in such a light speed way that the ouvre is let to one to draw the line if it’s good or if isn’t. The whole point came from one question: what’s the point? While we still have truly innovative music being created, Daniel Death believes that’s not everyday that a new Frank Zappa or a new Sun-Rá comes out of the blue to leave their imprint in the history of music. |

| Search | Add | 8 | عزيزة جلال | عزيزة محمد جلال (ʿAzīza Muḥammad Jalāl) | Aziza Jalal is an iconic Arabic singer from Morocco, she currently lives in Saudi Arabia and is a Saudi national. Before fame and marriage, the singer dedicated her life to the study of music. Young Aziza Jalal studied music in Meknes before participating in a singing competition called Mawahib (Talents) supervised by renowned Moroccan singer Abdelnabi Al Jirari in 1975. During the competition, the singer performed songs of well-known Egyptian and international Arab icons, such as Shadia and Ismahan. In a singing career that lasted from 1975 to 1985, Aziza Jalal became a popular classical singers across the Arab world before deciding to give up the artistic scene for a life of piety with a Saudi husband. She was known to be King Hassan II of Morocco's favourite singer, and often appeared on Moroccan television and at state occasions singing nationalistic, pan-Arab, and Islamic-themed material. The singer had made a name for herself as one of the top Arab singers in the 70s and 80s. Not too little to late, her vocals have made headlines again as she astonished the world by singing a few verses from her song during the television show. Jalal’s song “Mestaniyak” was covered by Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram, one of the most popular Arab artists. The song’s lyrics come from the repertoire of the great Egyptian musician Mohamed Abdelouahab. The composer of the song was renowned musician Baligh Hamdi. Aziza Jalal, however, had several other famous songs, including Min Hakek T’atebny (You have the right to blame me,) and Houa El Hob Le’baa (Love is a Game.) Jalal’s early songs achieved commercial success in the UAE and in Egypt, and with the help of songwriter and poet Abdel Wahab Mohammed and artist Sayed Makkawi, among others, she quickly became a household name in the entire Arab world. n 1985, Aziza Jalal chose to leave the stage. Aziza Jalal married a Saudi businessman Ali bin Butti al-Ghamdi who gave her the right to decide whether or not she wants to retire. She didn't think much into it and decided to leave. She stated that wasn't a decision she regrets. The proposal suddenly ended her career in the music industry, leaving her fans disappointed, knowing that she could have added even more hits to her already impressive list of songs. May 22, 2019 marked a surprise for the Arab World. It was the day that Moroccans and fans across the Arab world had the chance to meet again with the prominent Moroccan arabic singer, Aziza Jalal, who was out of the spotlight for 34 years. The singer made her first appearance since 1985 on a television show aired by MBC television channel. The TV show is called “Likaa mina sifr” or “meeting from scratch.” In the show, the singer also wowed audiences across the world when she performed her legendary song “Mestanyak,” translated as “I am waiting for you” in English, with the same passion and maybe a little bit more. The interview with Aziza Jalal was also posted by the television show on YouTube. The interview generated more than 1 million views and thousand of comments. After a 34-year hiatus, Jalal returned to the stage on Thursday 26 December 2019 at Winter at Tantora.[8] Jalal's much anticipated performance started at 10 p.m. Aziza Jalal, who has kept a low profile for more than 30 years, rekindled emotions as generations were enchanted by her voice and songs. She thanked her fans “for coming to see me after a long hiatus. I’ve never been away from you, you have always been in my heart. I'm back today because of your love for me. I decided to come back to participate in these joyful events in our country.” During the concert,Aziza Jalal performed “Love is not a game” composed by Muhammad Al-Mouji and written by Mamoun Al-Shinawai, and "Waiting for you (Mestaniyak) which the audience enjoyed immensely. She also performed many of her classics. Her message to the youth was: “Hear us out because we are the past, and the past needs the present and the future, hear us out so that we hear you out.”. |

| Search | Add | 8 | Paul Sol | Gonzalo Hernán Salas Eguiguren | He was born in the city of Loja in 1942. He had a sad childhood because he lived in some orphanages. "I grew up in an orphanage in Quito, then I was transferred to Cuenca, and when I was a little boy they took me to Loja -according to the origin of their artistic name." It occurred to me to put Paúl Sol in thanks for my childhood in the orphanage. from the city of Cuenca Juan Vicente de Paul and sun for the God who accompanies me. " In his student life he began to triumph in intercollegiate competitions singing rancheras. In 1963 he left Loja and settled in Guayaquil, where he began to sing on radio stations until he won an amateur contest of the 'Saturdays of Atalaya' program. By then he had already made friends with the young artists: Pepe Parra from Los Cuervos, Marco Molina from Los Corverts, César Augusto Montalvo, Pepe Morey and others. And he sang the fashion themes of the Mexicans Enrique Guzmán, Alberto Vásquez, César Costa and the French Charles Aznavour. But he considers that his professional life began one night in 1965 at the Olmedo theater when he was invited to the Ernesto Albán Show, which had the brothers as special artists. Miño Naranjo, the trio Los Brillantes and other artists who did not arrive in time to the theater. It was when the animator Lucho Gálvez threw it into the arena and Paúl Sol sang his song Si se ver llorar and the audience applauded him in a rage. "This is how Paúl Sol was born in the Olmedo Theater and in the Ernesto Albán Show," he says, adding that he then began to write his tragic songs that were a success when they recorded. In 1966 and 1967 he won three gold albums. Two for the simple Burlado / El baladí and the third for: If they see you cry / The night. "To get the gold record, you had to sell 50,000 copies, the whole country had my record that sold like hot cakes," he recalls. He thinks he had the acceptance of people because he was an original artist who did not copy foreigners. The audience was ecstatic with their superdramatic performances. "I started singing the tragic songs and I was on the floor," he says excitedly, "but always according to the meaning of the lyrics. If he sang If they see you crying, it would end in a corner, with Burlado I would go to the floor and break my shirt. I always asked that the theater be in darkness, only with the light of a reflector and I would go onstage from the corregidor's hollow because the theater employees raised me from below. The people loved that. It began with El Baladí and ended with Burlado on the floor and with a torn shirt. People said: "Poor thing, look like he cries, and it was the reverendo heat, sometimes I cried because of the emotion of the audience that applauds you standing, that's the greatest thing for an artist." I'm more Guayaquil than lojano because Guayaquil gave me the triumph". In 1970 he recorded his only long play Paúl Sol, the tragic baladista with twelve songs. He stopped doing it when he found out that they would never give him royalties because, according to the contract with this label, he paid for his artistic promotion. From 1974, he became an artistic representative and brought Los Angeles Negros, El Greco, Palito Ortega, César Costa, Leo Dan, and from 1980 to 1989 he represented the Colombian Lisandro Meza in 140 presentations throughout the country |

| Search | Add | 8 | Borislav Vakinov | Borislav Vakinov | Borislav Vakinov (also known as "Witness True Sorcery" on the internet) is an artist, writer, blogger and a gamer based in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. A long-time reader of horror fiction, mysteries and existential philosophy. He is an independent researcher of the Occult, Western Magic and Esotericism, and he currently runs three musical projects in different genres. Borislav started out as a freelance graphic designer back in 2008/2009, where he mostly created album covers, posters, banners and logos for personal projects, as well as for various websites, clients and bands. Most of his late work draws inspiration heavily from fantasy, mythology, video games and design, objectivism, occultism and magick. He became very interested in the fields of the more fringe-end and weird side of life since his early childhood, while watching The X-Files and reading Stephen King's novels. Years later he became known on the internet with his DeviantArt page and YouTube channel. All of the artistic work he did in recent years led him into branching out into new territories and develop the necessary skills in order to grow as an artist and as a writer. He also has a rather varied taste for Art and he's heavily addicted to black and white movies, BioShock, RPGs, Jazz, Bluegrass and Country Music. These days, Borislav mostly writes books and works as a graphic designer for a living, but sometimes he also works on music and various art-related projects. In his spare time, he often goes for long hikes in the local forests and mountainous regions of his native home. |

It was an evolution of the earlier [a4766468] band that had released a rock album and a number of singles during the 1970's Zamrock era. Led by [a4764250], the band changed it's name to New Crossbones shortly after addition of [a2476244] to the band's line-up around 1980. The addition of Chris Chali led to a reinvention of the band's style and sound. In 1983 the band gained international attention at the Pan African Youth and Cultural Festival in Libya which led to the band receiving offers to perform at other festivals worldwide. Much of the band's output was via singles but they did release an album, [r8823132] in 1985. The band changed their name to [a1495713] that same year. Amayenge would go on to become one of Zambia's most successful Kalindula bands, surviving well into the 2000's.. | |

| Search | Add | 8 | Snakeye | Canadian rock band from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Formed in August 1971, the band was originally a collection of members from the area's four top groups. The group eventually signed a management agreement with H.P. & Bell (who also represented Canadian rock band Lighthouse) and inked a recording deal with United Artists. In the summer of 1972, Snakeye made their first trip to Ontario to begin an extensive tour that saw the band play universities and high schools along with lounge dates in Toronto and Montreal. Their first single, "Blue Feeling", was released in the spring of 1973. It reached No. 51 on the RPM 100 Singles Chart. They returned to Toronto to play with A Foot In Cold Water and April Wine before they headed back to the Maritimes to open for Blood, Sweat & Tears for four East Coast dates. In 1974, Snakeye toured with Ocean and The Bells and were preparing for the release of their first album. However, with the demise of Lighthouse, H.P. & Bell didn't seem as inviting to the band and they looked elsewhere for management and recording deals. In early 1975, the band released their first album, "Blue Feelin'", shortly after bassist Steve Russell joined the group. They would tour all over Ontario and ended the trip on a Maritime tour with April Wine to close out the year. In 1976, Snakeye was re-organized and began a new tour with Abraham's Children and Fludd. A year later, thinking the only way to make it in the music industry, the group moved to Toronto and proceeded to play every club and lounge before moving to Quebec in early 1978. After eight months and a new demo, the band returned to the Maritimes and continued to tour and communicate with various record labels. By early 1979, they laid the foundations of their own record label, production and publishing companies before renewing their affiliation with H.P. & Bell. By March 1979, Snakeye entered Dartmouth's Solar Studios and completed an album's worth of material by September, with band leader/vocalist/drummer Allard Barkhouse handling all production duties. The first single from the album, "Here I Go Again", was released in December 1979. The album, "Shape Up Or Ship Out", came out a month later, in January 1980. They also released "Reaching Out" as a single. | |

| Search | Add | 8 | Charles Charamba | Charles Charamba | Charles Charamba, the massively talented gospel musician was born in 1971 in Mudzi, a remote area in the eastern district of Zimbabwe. As he grew up, Charles discovered at a very early age that his major gift lay in music. Such was boy's conspicuous talent that at primary school he was the youngest member of his school singing group. Together with his seniors' they toured many places entertaining audiences of all ages and classes. The vibrant Charles converted to Christianity in August 1988.Thus began an era which today has become a phenomenon of pronounced multitude. The man belongs to Who's Who of the country's top gospel artistes. If the fame come across the border, who would be surprised? Charles is not a fly by night musician who thrives on plucking common hymns from various denominations. A highly inspired composer in his own right, he possesses exceptional writing skills that are virtually unmatched. Previous works like 'Jehovah NdiMwari Wedu' (1995) and the album 'Tinashe Akatendeka' (1997) bear open testimony to the man's God-given prowess. A humble and lovable character, Charles Charamba is no doubt one gospel giant who is bound to grow on and go beyond the apex, smashing all known historical perceptions.Even the sky cannot be the limit Brother! Keep on fishing them out. Notes on Compilation Album 'Muzita RaJesu Vol. 1. |

| Search | Add | 8 | Howard Lovett | Howard W Lovett II | Howard W Lovett II (b. About 1950) is an audio engineer and co-owner (with his wife Lindy Lovett) of [l716272], also known as Studio South Productions. The studio was moved previously, and has been located two former locations (with no two locations ever being in operation at the same time): 1980 to 1982: [l=Studio South, Dublin, Georgia] Studio South was originally opened in Dublin, Georgia USA in 1980, until 1982 when Lovett moved his family and studio to Augusta, Georgia USA. 1982 to September, 2000: [l=Studio South, Augusta, Georgia] the studio was located at 2510 Peach Orchard Road in nearby Augusta, Georgia Lovett has been awarded for his work in producing content for local advertising campaigns, but he is probably best known for his work with jazz trombonist [a=Wycliffe Gordon] and [a=James Brown], who usually credited Lovett on his releases as "Mr. Howard Lovett." During one recording session with [a=James Brown], Lovett had setup a quick rough mix to playback the most recent take. When James Brown heard the playback, he liked what he heard, but Lovett protested, as he thought that a pass through a computer was needed to make the rough mix as good as possible. Mr. Brown put his hand on the engineer's shoulder and reassured him that his initial efforts were just right. "Mr. Lovett, the first time God does it. The second time you do it - I want God's version," he said. Background Lovett attended Florida Bible College in Miami in the late 1960's. He was singing with Joyful Noise, one of the earliest bands to play Christian folk rock. The group attracted the notice of the record label [l=Impact (7)] (the same label as the [a=Imperials]) and Joyful Noise signed a contract with [l=Impact (7)]. Joyful Noise's first album became an immediate underground success after the college banned it because of the drums on it. Howard Lovett met his wife to be, Lindy, at school in Miami. After their wedding, the couple moved to Dublin, Georgia USA., where Mr. Lovett worked at Pine Forest United Methodist Church as a youth pastor and youth minister of music and led Bible studies. In the 1970's, Howard Lovett and his family formed Loves Shares, Inc. and went on the road with a musical-comedy act. Their 4-year-old daughter, Lori, opened the show by reciting a psalm. Mrs. Lovett ran sound and some slides while Mr. Lovett appeared onstage with a sidekick, a gun-slinging cowboy puppet named Wichita. They never did any booking themselves. Word of mouth was enough to get them 225 to 250 appearances a year at churches, high schools and, once, a McDonald's at 2 a.m. But when their children indicated they wanted to be more involved in school activities, the couple decided it was time to limit travelling and look for other income. "I thought it would be fun" to build a recording studio, said Mr. Lovett, who had worked with studios in Atlanta and Florida. Small-town Dublin, Georgia wasn't ideal for such a venture, but groups came to their studio from all over the country. In 1982, Lovett released his album [r=4955881], which features a picture of his family on the back cover. Later in 1982, The Lovetts moved from Dublin to Peach Orchard Road in Augusta at the suggestion of one of their clients, an advertising agency. |

Part of the American vocal duo “Layton & Johnstone”, Johnstone, along with Turner Layton, sold ten million records between the years of 1924 and 1935. Layton & Johnstone were one of most successful vocal Duettists in the 1920s and 30s, performing for the British nobility at the most prestigious estates and halls. That was until 1934, when Johnstone was implicated in a scandal involving the wife of Albert Sandler, a Violinist in the Palm Court orchestra, the trial was described as follows: “An appeal by Mr Clarence Nathaniel Johnstone, the coloured variety singer, against an award of £2,500 damages to Mr Albert Sandler, the violinist because of the misconduct of Johnstone and Mrs Sandler was heard in the Court of Appeal. The suit came before the President of the divorce division, Sir Boyd Merriman, and a special jury on March 6 and 7, and Mr Sadler was granted a desree nisi.” Johnstone and Mrs Sandler were then married in December of 1935, a month after the Layton & Johnstone split. After which Johnstone returned to America with the former Mrs Sandler, moving into an apartment in Harlem. He found work as messenger for Western Union, 8 years later his wife left him, causing him to fall into a depression, for the next few years he worked as a janitor, dying in a sanitarium in 1953, aged 68. |
