Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Has played jazz for many years with Per Sørensen - they started at the same time in BJ Swingband, which later became PS Swingband. Search | Add | 3 | Nono Manzanza | Originally from Kinshasa, Nono Manzanza began his musical career when he was very young. Very quickly, we find him in the Kinaxixi Musica group. In 1990, he settled down in Europe, joined [a=Diblo Dibala]'s Matchatcha. A world tour follows with his new acolytes. Then he decides to leave Paris for Orlando, in the United States where he will live for a year before settling permanently in Paris. He is often found alongside big names in African music such as [a=Papa Wemba], [a=Felix Wazekwa]. But it is his collaboration on [a=Kassav']'s Ktoz album that will confirm his talent and versatility. It is therefore no surprise that in 1999 he released his first album: Peace quite simply, a nod to the war that has been stirring the Congo for years. This spring 2015, he announced an EP, Carte sur table. There are songs in French and Lingala, his mother tongue. Between walks and current music, it is a real cultural mix that Nono offers us.

Search | Add | 3 | Travelers Aid | Based in San Benardino, Califorinia this short lived early 1970s band traced its roots to The Torquays. Under the guidance of record label owner/producer/writer Bill Bellman, The Torquays released a series of five singles during their 1964-1967 lifespan. Though they enjoyed some regional success, The Torquays never broke nationally and by 1968 they were history. A year later band members Ron Casdin, Eddie Perez, Danny Rentz, and Lance Sanvik reappeared as Travellers Aid. Produced by Bill Bellman (he also wrote, or co-wrote four of the ten songs), 1970's "Corduroy Roads" was originally released on the small Rock label.

Search | Add | 3 | Ryan B Hyeeze | Ryan Ballard | Hyeeze grew up in New Haven CT a.k.a. The Elm City. He developed a natural born talent to entertain large groups of people through acting. Professor Thomas Green of Yale University founded a traveling company that performed from school to school in the local areas known as Yale’s Open End Theater.Ryan quickly took notice and joined the company. He increased his experience with stage presents and public speaking and taking on the lead roles in two of the plays. With that held down for four years through high school, he wanted to share his personal views instead of other writers views to an audience. At this point in his life, he started writing poetry. Using the format of story telling over music, the poetry was formatted into raps. He describes stories everybody can relate to with humor and guaranteed to rock a crowd. Hyeeze sticks to real life issues of young minoritys growing up in poverty in high crime areas yet, the young artist can bring entertainment to any situation." He makes concept songs with a combination of word play make him more than capable to sell platinum records. Hyeeze quotes “ Ill never let a beat carry my lyrics, my lyrics will carry the beat.” If you take away anything from Hyeeze when he performs, it's the fact he always stays real and will always leave you wanting more. He is on a path to resurrect hip hop in a way that has not been done before. With that being said, the next time some one asks you who is Ryan? You can tell them that’s “ Ryan B Hyeeze he the homie coming strait from the ELM CITY!! |
Search | Add | 3 | Theopolis James | Ted Bunch – Vocals / Guitars / Keyboards Ted has been playing music since age 8. He has lived and made music in Chicago, Los Angeles, Houston, Austin, New York, St. Louis, Philadelphia and southern New Jersey. Ted is proud to feature the kickin’ rhythm section of Miles Holland on drums and Joe Jandura on bass. Miles brings song writing, lead and background vocals along with his monstrous talents on the drum kit. Joe’s thunderous bass playing is in the pocket, full bodied and rockin’, making this power trio large as marge. Ted can currently be heard fronting his next generation band EGO ALIEN. He’s also played with, recorded and/or produced a variety of artists including: The Ticket, Slackface, Thick, Trunk of Funk Productions, Second Line Productions, Black ‘n’ Decca, Soledad Brothers, Purity of Essence, The Chance Trio, The Jon Madof Trio, The Kevin Collins Quartet, Lazlo, Evelyn Aileen Bunch, The Water Tower Home Schoolers, Gank, The Highwire Gallery’s Jazz Series, MotherGod, Surge, Cryermouth, Sex In Violets, and LOS CONFABULATORS. Miles Holland – Vocals / Drums In 1997, a crack commando drummer was sent to the United States by a military court for a musical crime he did not commit. This man promptly escaped from a musical security stockade of endless stadium Rock to the Collingswood, NJ underground. Today, still wanted by the government, he survives as a drummer of fortune. THEOPOLIS JAMES had great guitar driven songs, no one else could keep the beat, so when they found him… they just had to recruit… Miles Holland* *Miles Holland plays courtesy of anyone who will take him. He’s thirty-something, almost six feet tall, and weighs 156 lbs. His influences range anywhere from stuff he currently has on his ipod to songs he heard on WXPN last night. Joe Jandura – Vocals / Bass Joe has been playing the bass guitar for over twenty years. He has been in several different bands and projects with the most recent being No Warning Shots, a metal band out of Bellmawr, NJ. He got started early with music at the age of four when he took lessons on the organ and later moved to the bandura (ukrainian string instrument). After that it was keyboards until the age of fourteen when a close friend got him hooked on the bass guitar. He’s been wrestling with the four (and sometimes five) string beasties ever since.

Search | Add | 3 | Guarneri Del Gesu | Bartolomeo Giuseppe Guarneri | Bartolomeo Giuseppe "del Gesù" Guarneri (21 August 1698, Cremona — 17 October 1744, Cremona), or Joseph Guarnerius del Gesu, was a renowned Italian luthier, arguably one of the greatest makers of violins in history alongside Nicolò Amati (1596—1684) and [a=Antonio Stradivari] (1644—1737). Due to the scarcity and outstanding tonal characteristics of Del Gesu violins, they are among the most expensive and sought-after today. His 1741 'ex-Vieuxtemps' violin holds the world record for any musical instrument, sold in 2012–13 for over £10.5 mln ($16.4 mln). Giuseppe originated from a distinguished dynasty of luthiers, grandson of [a=Andrea Guarneri] (1626—1698) and son of Giuseppe Filius Andreæ (1666—ca. 1740). He apprenticed at the family's workshop with his elder brother, [a9044320] (1695—1762). Guarneri's earliest extant violins, dated circa 1715–22, "mimicked" the Stradivari pattern with slight modifications — a bold and controversial choice in his family's historical context. (Casa Guarneri suffered a catastrophic decline since [a=Antonio Stradivari] opened his Cremonese workshop around 1680. Even though Giuseppe's grandfather, Andrea Guarneri, also studied at [a=Nicolo Amati]'s bench, he adhered to the "Grand Amati" canon almost religiously and wouldn't dare to change anything — unlike Stradivari, who favored a trial-and-error method and gradually evolved his instruments to unprecedented levels of precision and finesse.) In pursuit of more creative freedom, both brothers subsequently left Casa Guarneri. Pietro followed the path of their uncle, Pietro 'di Mantova', and relocated to Venice around 1717. Giuseppe, however, stayed in Cremona and opened his independent workshop circa 1726, competing against "casa familia" on the home turf for at least another decade — an even more audacious and brazen move in the conservative world of Italian luthiers. (According to most sources, they remained close as caring relatives; for instance, Giuseppe moved back to failing Casa Guarneri circa 1731 as his father's health deteriorated). The nickname del Gesù, both for Guarneri and his violins, originated from il bollo del Gesù addendum ("the Jesus stamp") adopted in the mid-1720s by Cremonese scribes to easier discern between father and son's nearly identical Latin signatures. The "Jesus stamp" refers to the luthier's distinct label, which has a cross of Jerusalem and IHS abbreviation for "Iesus Hominem Salvator," or "Jesus the Savior" in Greek: Jo∫eph Guarnerius fecit Cremonȩ anno 17## ☩IHS. Del Gesu's open-minded and experimental approach grew more drastic and riotous throughout his career. Violins dated between 1737 and 1742 moved past the Stradivari's pattern and have a distinct outline with a flatter back and table, likely inspired by Brescian luthiers Da Salò and [a5568459]. He blatantly disregarded visual aesthetics and craftsmanship to achieve warmer, more vibrant sound (in stark contrast to most Cremonese luthiers, obsessed over flawless woodgrains and purfling techniques). Some of the latest del Gesùs would even have asymmetric F-holes, carved intuitively per the specific deck's vibration points. Over his relatively short career, Guarneri produced around 200 violins, two small violins (the 1740 'Fountaine' and 1735 'Chardon' violino piccolo), and the 1731 'Messeas' cello (with erroneous Giuseppe Filius Andreæ's label). Del Gesu died at 46 and had no children. Unlike Stradivari, who was revered and distinguished in his lifetime, Guarneri only gained deserved recognition posthumously. His violins have notably darker, "robust" and sonorous midrange, particularly 315 Hz—1.25 kHz (where Strads are typically most dispensable, thriving in 200–250 Hz band or above 1.6 kHz). The earliest admirer of del Gesùs magnificent sound was an Italian virtuoso [a=Gaetano Pugnani] (1731—1798), who praised the instruments in the mid-1750s (almost three decades before Pugnani's former student, [a1265314] (1755—1824), began campaigning for Stradivarius.) The great [a206281] (1782—1840) cherished his 1743 'il Cannone' as the most valuable violin, solidifying Guarneri's contemporary fame. Notable 'del Gesù' players ☞ [a=Ole Bull], played the "last" 1744 del Gesu ☞ [a=Jascha Heifetz], praised his c.1740 violin as superior to several Strads ☞ [a=Yehudi Menuhin], played the 1742 'Lord Wilton' and 1741 ex-Vieuxtemps, which he favored over the 1714 'Soil' Stradivarius ☞ [a=Anne Akiko Meyers], life-long loan of 1741 'Vieuxtemps' from the current anonymous owner ☞ [a=Midori Goto], plays 1731 'ex-Huberman' ☞ [a=Rachel Barton Pine], plays the 1742 'ex-Bazzini, ex-Soldat' since 2002, on a lifetime loan by the anonymous owner ☞ [a=Joseph Joachim], [a1147368], [a=Maud Powell], [a871323], [a=Zvi Zeitlin], [a=Leonid Kogan], [a=Isaac Stern], [a=Pinchas Zukerman], [a=Itzhak Perlman], [a=Henryk Szeryng], [a=Eugene Fodor], [a=Nigel Kennedy], [a=Henning Kraggerud], [a=Gidon Kremer], [a=Arve Tellefsen], [a=Salvatore Accardo], [a=Augustin Hadelich], [a2029521], [a=Arthur Grumiaux], [a1199356], [a=Michael Rabin], [a=Joseph Silverstein], [a=Robert McDuffie], [a=Rachel Barton Pine], [a=Sarah Chang], [a=Leila Josefowicz], [a4060029] (1716 violin), [a7052498], [a=Elmar Oliveira], [a=Ruth Palmer], [a=Charlie Siem], [a=Richard Tognetti], [a=Uto Ughi], [a361074], [a5155105] |

They planted 1973 to release a rock opera, called "El Señor Ninguno Cualquiera”, incluiding allong their already published singles (Ya Es Tiempo / Ya Es Tiempo; Amanecer / Escuchame) other songs, as the coup d´etat in their country came, cutting all their plans out, what would later guide to the dissolution of the band itself. Sadly, all the tapes of this future album (what they began to record 1972, and was actually thought to be their first LP) went gone, as the state label [l=IRT (2)] was take over, and destroyed most of the master tapes of the artist under this label. Members were: - [a=Soledad Domínguez]: vocals (1971 – 1973). - Alejandro Valenzuela: bass and vocals (1971 – 1973). - Jorge Arcaya: guitar (1971 – 1973). - Alfredo Bravo: drums (1971 – 1973).

Preferences in music: goa trance, psy techno, breakbeat. Collector of vinyl since 2000. As Alexander says - music has always been in our house, vinyl, then tapes, discs and again vinyl. In 1991 I heard electronics and everything was on the rise. The first synthesizers bought at the beginning of zero, it was Roland and began to record everything, and the project Syntez Atf was born. The first live performances began in 2008, together with DJ Begish. Now I'm playing syntez atf, like jockey or live on synth, writing music. |

Search | Add | 3 | Meadow Quartet | Meadow Quartet came into being in 2009 in Gdansk (Poland). The band tries to create the space, which can be diffused by influences of modern chamber music, jazz, improvised music and the most fundamental medium – traditional Jewish music. Meadow Quartet, at last, is an exciting challenge, its members are trying to follow the path which defies simple stylistic classification. Meadow Quartet denotes four outstanding musicians – four instrumentalists, each inspired by one of the above type of music, but altogether Meadow Quartet are four, synergizing in musical performance, personalities. The band has won the second prize at the 16th Festival of Polish Radio Nowa Tradycja (New Tradition) in 2013 and has participated in the events such as the International Jewish Music Festival in Amsterdam, Tzadik Poznan Festival, the Internationaler Hansetag in Lüneburg. Meadow Quartet at their concerts hosted valued musicians, including Jarosław Bester, Klaus Kugel, Tomas Dobrovolskis, Saulius Petreikis, furthermore band’s music was used in the movie Rosa Alba. In February 2012, they released their debut album entitled Unexpected. The second album, The Erstwhile Heroes with the special guest – Lithuanian percussionist Tomas Dobrovolskis, was released in July 2013. Gazeta Wyborcza described it as one of the most interesting releases of the year 2013 in Poland. By the end of 2015 they released new album David & Goliath, which was recorded during Meadow Quartet & Klaus Kugel’s concert in Gdansk on April 10th 2015.
