Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025

Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Patrik L Johansson Played straight heavy metal drums in the school band Vital Force in Sweden, Iron Maiden covers a.o. same years songs came out and own material, later founder of [a=Sorcery] with other founding members; his 3rd cousin [a=Fredrik Nygren] who united with [a= Ola Malmström], [a= Magnus Karlsson-Mård] and [a=Paul Johansson] in a group then called Acid Queen, and thus [a=Sorcery] was born, heavily inspired by Mercyful Fate, Kreator & Deathrow a.o. (though Sorcery existed in the imagination of Patrik already in 1985 inspired by Celtic Frost a.o.); their second demo would have been named Rivendell as a theme with 3 Dark Angel type of music songs (those written by Patrik like the song Halloween on their first demo), the band however wanted to join the new grindmetal scene, Patrik and Fredrik left the band due to differences in music and all agreed that Sorcery kept their name; so he's not on the album since they changed genres in 1989 though he seems to be on the frontcover... =)>>> (fullbearded man) So later Patrik L Johansson founded Rivendell playing more technometal/fusion drums with highpitch singer [a=Conny Åström], bass player Petter Eriksson from Higher Ground and Peter Sjöberg who later on changed genre to growl vocalbands and became Peter Lake in Theory in Practice...(PL first heard of Mekong Delta from Patrik having all their albums and knowing some of the songs on drums, so they jammed some MD as well as playing Yngwie's instrumental style early on, later PL laid some solos on MD records...but early 90's they strived to be Swedens best techno metal band, at least in rehearsals they were, nowadays that style is heard in Mastodon and Anima Morte songs)...before their record deal they (as a trio: Patrik with Peter & keyboardist/bass player Matthias from TIP) used to have jam sessions with classical influenced music and fusion as Mahavishnu, Confessor a.o. and rehearsals in the Sorcery/Rivendell place with own songs in that genre, much in the same way as Patrik's favorite band Lamb of God started inspired by Confessor early 90's and as LOG later on circa 1999 He shares the same grandancestors in the 5th generation on his mother's side with composer Bo Linde who studied under an old favorite composer Lars-Erik Larsson, and was a friend of Hans Eklund from the same county; and just like Bo Linde he don't follow trends but likes music with a deeper meaning. Another relative he never met was [a=Wolf Johansson], his father's cousin who had the same attitude towards music. He learned drums though from the local big band's drummer [a=Rolf Andersson] at an early age, where Wolf played at times. Jazz have always been a big part of the rockbands he likes, any famous good rock drummer always have listened to jazz. During Wolf's last years they e-mailed about shared ancestry information. He also has named the local Viking society where he lives Fafner, and made english translations for his mother's local history society in the neighbouring village around which he also works with genealogy as an Ancestor Detector. Favorite TV-show (since no more good old american series seems to happen anymore) is Black Adder's sidekick as host in Time Team and the coolest fullbearded (like himself) ZZ Top-style men on TV, though a pescatorian...in Duck Dynasty.

Search Add 3 Sunisit Call it "space summer music." The original member of YOUNG GODS (Cesare Pizzi alias Ludan Dross) and sinusoidal techno champion (POL) launch concept band SUNISIT. Frontman-Shaman of the same Young Gods, Franz Treichler produces and mixes the duo's debut album. If a balearic sun rose in deep space, Sunisit would certainly be the soundtrack. In the early Eighties, Cesare invented techno-rock sampling with the Young Gods, where he played the funkier side of the dark splendor of the band. At the dawn of the Nineties, POL emerges from the swiss scene of electronic body music, dancing accompanied by pounding post-industrial apocalyptic visions.

Search Add 3 Czam Pascal Walter His project, based on the idea that electronic music is a blend of different cultures and music, started 20 years ago. 2012 he made Electronic Player records. Today 8 compilations, 20 ep, 100 artists from Europe and 150 digital tracks is out !! His musical vision in fusing a multitude of highly energetic musical styles. His unique style is something much more than the traditional "house" or "techno" music. He love experimenting by mixing up different music styles, which result in an unexpectedly good combination. It's a high deep energy inside. In the early 90s, the first « pirate » FM radios appear in the French West Indies. “102 Graffiti” (Guadeloupe), is where (dj Czam) started as a dj/selector and programmer. Working at the radio station, he often spent more than 10 hours of non-stop broadcasting. Also, thiswas where MASSIVE ATTACK’s single was first played and without even knowing it, he took part in their promotion.

Search Add 3 The Rosellys Rebecca and Simon Rosellys Rebecca and Simon Rosellys have been part of the UK roots scene for a number of years, their live shows and two duo albums garnering deserved praise from musicians, critics and audiences alike. On September 7th The Rosellys will be releasing a new album, The Granary Sessions, on the UK independent label Clubhouse Records (Case Hardin, Redlands Palomino Company, Cale Tyson, amongst others). The album, recorded and co-produced in their home studio – ‘The Granary’ – by Alex Elton-Wall, lead singer, guitarist and songwriter of acclaimed UK alt country band Redlands Palomino Company, is their first full band release, taking the band to an exciting new level. Since an early age Simon has been immersed in roots music, both as a fan and a musician. He toured throughout UK, Europe and the Middle East as a member of the much-loved Cajun/zydeco band, Le Bon Temps Playboys, alongside his father Allan who now, unsurprisingly, plays pedal steel and resonator in his son’s band. Simon met Rebecca, a qualified doctor and herself an exemplary songwriter, in 2005 and since then they have been writing songs and performing as The Rosellys both here in the UK and on regular tours to the US in their trusty (near-legendary) VW van where they have built up a sizeable following of their own. The Granary, a converted barn in the heart of the Gloucestershire countryside provided the ideal location to record the new album. With Elton-Wall’s laidback, uncomplicated approach to recording the album was able to take shape of its own accord, slowly, organically and without any of the usual time restraints and complications with the input of fellow band members – Allan Kelly (Pedal Steel/Resonator) and Matt Kirby (bass). All of the songs on The Granary Sessions, like many of the great country records of years gone by, are drawn from personal experiences of love, loss, old true tales and endless hours on the road. For example the spirited opener, “A Thousand Miles”, was written after one such endless journey from Nashville to Texas whilst “Ashville 1784” recounts a true story of a soldier killed in North Carolina leaving his wife forced to run away with their baby. The exquisite voice of Hannah Elton-Wall from Redlands permeates many of the tracks here as a guest backing vocalist whilst Rebecca’s mother and father, Helena and Michael Rosewell, add piano and cello to further enhance the wonderful sonic hue. The alluring beauty and song-craft of “Maryland” a song paying tribute the lost genius of Eva Cassidy and beautifully delivered in Rebecca’s haunting vocal style and the deeply personal “Made A Choice” are two standouts on an album full to the brim with songs that once heard will be resonating around your head for a long time to come. It’s clear from the opening bars of The Granary Sessions that here we have a band not only totally comfortable in their own musical skin but, as a group of musicians all drawing from the same well of inspiration – an absolute love of country roots music – a band that really can reach for the stars. The musicianship throughout is both complimentary and intuitive to the songs, themselves wonderfully crafted tales straight from the heart. Make no mistake The Rosellys are set to become a major force on the UK roots scene and further afield and with the release of The Granary Sessions their already excellent reputation is set to be enhanced even further.

Search Add 3 Nyx Aether Nyx Aether At the core of Nyx Aether stands singer and main songwriter Mylene van den Weijer, who came up with the basic foundation for the project in 2010. Mylene had musical aspirations for a long time. Her urge to create something of her own grew into a set of musical and lyrical idea’s that had a distinctive dark energy to them. The concepts explored within the lyrics would touch upon paganism and occultism, but also on human qualities such as the choices we have to make in life and what is needed to become a truly free-spirited human being. For the musical side, Mylene got in touch with Tom de Wit (known for his work with TDW & Mind:Soul) by a happy coincidence. After listening to her ideas, he took up the challenge to translate Mylene’s ideas into a full set of songs. It only took a few months to create the debut-album thanks to the working chemistry between these two protagonists. The debut-album was called Entering Into Rebirth and was released into the world through Layered Reality Productions in the Autumn of 2012.

Search Add 3 Geoff Healey Geoff Healey Singer/keyboardist/songwriter Geoff Healey was born in Queensland, Australia and began his music career at the age of 18, at the now-legendary Javeen-bah folk club in Nerang. He worked as a professional actor in film, stage and television before taking up music full-time in 1987, having spent several years as a newspaper and radio journalist on the Gold Coast and in Melbourne.
Geoff traveled to the US in 1990, spending three months songwriting in Nashville before heading to London and a series of dates in Europe. He returned to Australia in 1993 to finish work on his first independent CD album, 'The Path', then to Germany for sessions with producer Rolf Wetzel, resulting in the albums 'Wait For Me' and 'No-Man’s Land'.
In 1996 he released his fourth album, 'Geoff Healey's Love In A Suit' in Australia before relocating to Germany in 1998. Seven years of touring followed, culminated in the 2005 CD, 'Canvas Of My Memory'.
Geoff says his songwriting inspirations are many, and that he tries to not get stuck in just one genre or writing style. “I listen to everything; And If there's a bit of my story in a song, it's only going to be a bit. I'm more inspired by what I see and hear, and who I meet. I love creating a story or a feeling, or setting up an image - and then letting people read their own stuff into it”.
Geoff's new album, 'Wherever We Go, There We Are' was released in June 2020.

The vocals bark with a bite of the gospel gone grizzly, with flows sweet like freedom and the grit it takes to keep it. The lyrics bridge the generations from snotty teens to old farts without relying on nasty language. Dirty Sound! Clean Message!

Search Add 3 Senorenteamet Swedish religious song group. Senoren is a island, located in the Karlskrona archipelago. It has given the name to the singing group and is an important base and source of inspiration for everyone in the Senorenteamet. The senor team started their activities as a Christian singing group back in 1977, inspired by a similar group from Småland's Forserum. From a cautious start in 1977, the number of engagements increased over the next few years and the real breakthrough came after participation in the TV series "Nygammalt" which was broadcast on SVT, April 3, 1981. The great impact of TV at this time resulted in many new contacts, travel and performances. The senior team became more or less famous throughout Sweden overnight! With the ambition to offer song and music to all people, both inside and outside the church walls, the places they visited have changed over the years. The senior team has therefore been able to meet in e.g. The Church of Sweden, the Free Churches, summer and conference farms, community halls, pensioner organizations, care facilities, prisons, campsites, homestead farms, public parks, festivals, markets, shops and in streets and squares. The group has completed several longer tours in southern and central Sweden as well as in Finland. The Senoren team consists of 9 people, all from the Senoren Mission parish. On a daily basis, the group's members are employed in electronics/industry, healthcare, IT/consulting and trade. Involvement in the Senior Team therefore takes place during free time such as weekends, evenings and holidays. Of the current members of the Senorenteamet, the following people were already there from the start in 1977: Jan-Evert Manneklint ( bass, vocals ) Bengt-Inge Wiberfors ( guitars, vocals ) Roland Manneklint ( drums, vocals ) Lennart Manneklint ( keyboards, vocals ) Since then, the group has grown and today also consists of: Marianne Manneklint ( vocals ) Maria Wiberfors ( vocals ) Carina Manneklint ( vocals ) Solveig Manneklint ( vocals ) Mathias Manneklint ( guitar, wind, vocals ) Bertrand ( accordion ) & Irene Manneklint ( vocals ) are now no longer active in and have been an important core of the group throughout the years.

Search Add 3 Arm On Stage Italian project was born in a cottage between the suggestive and secluded hills of the Passo of Sassello (Italy). This is where [a4733507], [a6661440], [a2690771] and [a2749959] met and remained isolated for 10 days to improvise and to let free of their ideas – a process they called improvvision – each with its own instrument but with a new and empathetic approach to it. When they return to Milan they start working on their ideas giving them shape with [a3310217]’s drums rhythmical support and [a1023442]’s electronic aid, ten tracks between songs and psychedelic were born. Recordings were made live by [a302019] in the [l271997], to maintain the original strong sensations whilst performing and the genuine spirit of their original creativity. Although all the members of the band are Italian mother tongue, they decided to use English for this project and be open to an international public leaving behind their own individual life path. Sabrina Pria has contributed to the lyrics turning the improvisions in visions whilst Dave Muldon supervised the grammar and pronunciation.
