Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Machet-T | Trevor Lawson | MACHET-T Recording Artist Born as Trevor Lawson DEF: A long, sharp, strong, durable, versatile, dual edge (serrated/razor)manifestation most commonly used to clear paths and change the dimensions of objects that are obstacles. WARNING: Has been detained for the capability of violent and deadly purposes. This particular instrument was forged in S.F., California on August 30, 1970, and spent its next few years in Seattle, WA and Erie, PA. In the woods of New Jersey,MACHET-T was tested by the cold weather, dense woods and hard water. These and other strenuous conditions may have caused some nicks and scratches, but no rust whatsoever. This northern tenure lasted 8 years until the migration south in '84. MACHET-T has been in (S.E. + S.W.A.T.S) Atlanta and Decatur, GA chopping out trails of omniversal consciousness for a decade and a half. Marked by hard-core sounds of all types, mostly Roots Rockers Rasta Reggae vibrations/dub poets such as Linton Kwesi Johnson, Mutabaruka, Oku Onuaru, Benjamin Zephania etc., Conscious Roughneck Hip Hop like KRS-ONE, Public Enemy, Poor Righteous Teachers, Shinehead, Asher D and Daddy Freddy, Mad Lion, Eric B and Rahkim, Ice T, etc., MACHET-T was branded with and aimed towards progress. This lyrical instrument was a featured artist with the group HIT EM QUICK AND HARD POSSE from '93-'95 and appears on the EP's RUFFNECK COME and PASS THE BLUNTS, in addition to the compilation album,HISTORY OF ATLANTA REGGAE VOLUME I on TechSound Records. MACHET-T signed an exclusive artist agreement with the Mindstate Entertainment record label in July of 1997 that lasted until the advent of 2000. This artist and BMI affiliated writer has a 12" single entitled OUT THE SHEATH featuring the songs HIP HOP SOUL with singer GINGER and lyricist JSIII, and QUEEN with singer/producer ROC and JSIII. This single was in regular rotation on WRFG 89.3 FM in Atlanta and was just the first cut off the 15 track album/compact disc DUAL EDGE BLADE officially released February 29, 2000. Hacking away at downpressors for many years now, the dual edge sounds of MACHET-T have been deeply penetrating straight to the heart of matters with roughly smooth vocals. MACHET-T has been tempered to keep us focused on the point! Band Members: Trevor Lawson known as Machet-T |

Search | Add | 2 | Blankface. | Chapel Hill, NC, 1997. A young, energetic band called Blankface emerged from a scene that had become synonymous with the term “indie rock,” giving it a much needed punch to the gut. Playing a mix of melodic punk and emo akin to older Saves the Day, Jimmy Eat World, or Samiam, the short-lived group only managed one short tour up the East Coast, but they were a staple in North Carolina and Virginia music circles. They played often, packing DIY spaces and mainstream rock clubs from Winston Salem to Richmond and, by the time they called it quits in 1999, had amassed such a following that they sold out the renowned Cat’s Cradle for their final show, a feat not many bands can claim even today. Their one and only full-length, “A Better Day,” is a time capsule full of roaring guitars, earnest vocals, and youthful exuberance – a document to everything that made them not just Chapel Hill’s, but one of the Southeast’s best kept secrets. Members went on to play with such well-known bands as Classic Case, He is Legend, and Milemarker.

Search | Add | 2 | Q-Sign | Athens, GA Q-Sign was formed by American Chris McKay and Irishman Tom O'Gorman on the banks of the Oconee River in Athens, Georgia in March of 1995. Soon after, the duo had added Andy Ainsworth on lead guitar to the permanent lineup and had begun work on the songs that would be included on Earth Loop And Goodness. In fact, "Stay Away", "Pepper" and "Twist" were put together within the first 24 hours that O'Gorman and McKay were writing together and the majority of the album's songs were written within the first 2 weeks. Brian Pridemore and Ken Slotkowski were the original rhythm section. Eventually, Michael Rietveld took over on drums from Brian and first Dave Chalfant, then Christine Reynolds played bass. Q-Sign played regionally for a couple of years and earned the distinction of being named one of Musician Magazine's Best Unsigned Bands In America before founder Tom O'Gorman moved overseas. The band's last live performance was on July 4, 1998 in front of 55,000 people in Atlanta, Georgia during the Peachtree Road Race and Q-Sign was seen on nearly all TV news coverage.

Search | Add | 2 | The Deadsilence Syndicate Band | [b]In The Beginning[/b] Two punks, Three dj's and a laid back bass scientist meander through the 1990's ears open to the ever changing audio that fills their soul spoilt city. Confused by genres, pigeon holes and evolving formats they seek more than the local sound system or night clubs can offer them. "It's not as good as a gig though mate" the scruffy punk explains to a dedicated dj one morning after a night of debauchery. "Ok, maybe" agrees the dj. "But who wants to listen to a fucking lead guitarist when their out on a Saturday night". "It doesn't have to be that way though". The scruffy punk argues. "I'm selling my drum kit, check this out" he reaches for a crumpled copy of Future Music magazine, scrambles through the pages and finally arrives at his destination. "Look, a real midi drum kit, one that finally works. As soon as I can sell them old pots and pans, I'm getting it. I'm gonna make drum'n'bass, real drum'n'bass, with real people and real instruments". And so he did. Times changed, things rearranged, technology grew and our young punks craved. One dj who secretly played the cello, discarded his antique for a new electronic one, our bass scientist keenly awaited the first midi bass guitar. I quote, "That really fucking works." Punk number two quickly invested in an electronic percussion device. Our dedicated dj brought along some powerful synthesizers and it wasn't long before they bumped into a suitable rapper spending his afternoons gibbering on street corners for shirt buttons. It was done. The whole band was electronic. Not a hint of traditional band stuff in sight. Intrigued? I hope so! The DSS Band are indeed a heavy-duty proposition, taking the gnarlier end of drum + bass, throwing in a smidgeon of electro, some cello, then adding furiously spat lyrics, the end result is a D&B / punk fuelled demolition derby, not for the faint hearted.

Search | Add | 2 | June Pace-Martin | June Pace - Martin began her singing career at the age of seven when she performed with her sisters known in the Gospel arena as “[a824957]”. She continued singing with [a824957] through the 90’s, during which they performed at the Stella Awards and were nominated. Hailing out of Atlanta Georgia, Co-Pastor June and the sisters brought a new song to gospel music on the cutting edge of the industry. Although there are nine sisters, Co-Pastor June Pace-Martin in her own right, has a distinct POWER PACKED style. She exemplifies a passionate love for music as she expresses herself, on any platform lifting up the name of the LORD. She has also performed as a special soloist during the National and State Holy Convocation in Memphis and Atlanta respectively. In addition, she performed briefly in the 1997 critically acclaimed play, “Lord Have Mercy”, by David Talbert. Later Co-Pastor June captivated the TBN audiences, when she appeared as the guest Gospel Artist of Candy Staton’s “YES LORD” TV Show. Co-Pastor June was fortunate to grace the big screen in 2002, with a musical performance in the Gospel Movie “The Fighting Temptations” starring Cuba Gooding Jr. And Beyonce Knowles. In 2014, she appeared as a choir extra in the family drama film “Hamlet & Hutch.” June has sung all over the United States as well as in South Korea and Gatwick London. Yet, home at Restoration Revival Church of God in Christ where her husband of thirty-three years, Elder Dennis Lamar Martin, Sr. Is the Pastor, Co-Pastor June trains the choirs and leads Praise and Worship. She serves as President of the Women’s Department, Board of Trustee, Sunday School Teacher, Finance Officer and Co-Pastor. Outside of her other leadership roles in her church, Co-Pastor June’s musical credentials go on and on. She has preformed with Bishop [a350128], [a569446], [a41641], [a38202], Dr. [a4153094], [a178293], [a608389], [a1196820], [a118531], [a105452], [a879230], [a178301], [a178299], [a250067], and others. You can find her vocal prowess on 12 gospel albums, with [a824957], [a5558237] & [a5258057], and [a824951]. Martin has definitely made her mark. She is an outstanding and anointed speaker, performer, entertainer, and Spirit Filled talent. She is also the mother to music artists [a3328636] and [a4324564].

Search | Add | 2 | Who's To Blame? | Melbourne based melodic punk band and 3AW talk back tormentors from the late 90's to early 2000's. We took mediocrity to new heights with our bumbling shows and relentless prank calls to 3AW. We had some good songs and we had some average songs, we played lots of shows and played with some great bands. We broke up for awhile and then did a reunion show 10 years later and then again 10 years after that. We might write and record some new music one day, but we are pretty lazy and not very organised so don't hold your breath. If you like mediocrity at best then you are in the right place. These guys have delivered a record that’s more concerned with honesty and reckless immediacy than with appealing to the masses, and that is particularly why I’m inviting you to get acquainted with their work and be inspired by some of the issues covered in their poetic lyrics.
