Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | El Super Mini Combo Nacional | El Super Mini Combo Nacional | A French combo, but one with a very global groove -- a mix of funky styles and Cuban rhythms, served up with a few contemporary touches as well! The sound here is really unique -- sweetly jazzy one minute, and sharper-edged the next -- moving the groove from keyboard-driven funk to more acoustic numbers that draw on an older Latin heritage, with a bit of a Congolese twist -- all wrapped up with a fresh, enthusiastic sound that really sets the group apart. The percussion's especially nice -- and really gives the album a solid, earthy grounding -- and apart from the first track, which has a bit of a hip hop vibe, most of the numbers here feel like lost grooves from both the Cuban and Congo scene of the 70s. Titles include "Mira Flores", "Baila Mi Songo", "Smcn", "Amor Amor", "Mini Congo", "Ohcimini", and "La Boca Lionel (yoyo) Galletti: Chant lead, congas, percussions, choeurs. Manuel (Totoro) Gablain: Piano, Fender Rhodes, trompette, choeurs. David (Chichino) Beauval: Basse, guitare, choeurs Antony (Yapito) Breyer: Batterie, timbales, choeurs Invitados especiales: François (Mambo) Sabin: Saxophone tenor. Svend Povelsen: Harmonica. Nicolas (Bulotin') Auriault: Flute. |

The band one day to be resurected with who knows who members. Dr Space Toad will choose them. Captain and Monty have not been available for some time, too busy playing with The Damned. After making two albums with the band, "Time Machine" and "Venusiano" many concerts, various tours and performances in Festivals such as Glastonbury, The Big Green Gathering. a Festival in Belgium, The Marquee Club, London and other venues. Dr Space Toad then moved to Paris playing under the name of Paul Francis "le Troubadour" and occasionally coming back to play the odd gig with the band in The Astoria, The Real Music Club and other venues. His last gig in March 2023 with his latest up "Dr Space Toad's Electrick Dream" featuring ".The Mighty Xanthus" and "Monty OxyMoron" was a succes. Who knows what the furure holds. Space Toad. Search | Add | 2 | Matthew M. Bartlett | Matthew M. Bartlett was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1970. At an early age he was given as a gift the novelization of The Omen; not long after that, he inherited a worn copy of Christine by Stephen King. He fell deeply in love with horror: with the Universal monsters, with Hammer films, with the rented videos from the horror section of that almost-gone artifact known as the Video Rental Store. He began writing poetry while in the English program at Central Connecticut State University. An abiding interest in horror fiction led him to start a Livejournal page whose posts were his first forays into fiction: bite-sized tales accompanied by doctored daguerreotypes and his own photographs taken in Leeds and Northampton, Massachusetts. These posts centered around a long-dead coven using radio waves to broadcast disturbing and dangerous transmissions from the dark woods of Western Massachusetts. His inspirations are varied and the foremost are certainly not atypical for the genre: H.P. Lovecraft, Thomas Ligotti, Robert Aickman, T.E.D. Klein. Other authors he admires include Donald E. Westlake, Richard Yates, J.D. Salinger, and Hunter S. Thompson. He also draws inspiration from the radio monologues and shows of Joe Frank; the poetry of Philip Larkin, of Mark Strand, of Stephen Crane; the movies of Wes Anderson, of Ben Wheatley, of the Coen Brothers. He continues to write dark and strange fiction at his home in Western Massachusetts, where he lives with his wife Katie and an unknown number of cats. | |

Search | Add | 2 | Paul Mols | Paul Mols | As a kid I was always into music, especially rhythmic stuff. That's why it was almost inevitable I started to produce music. First with a free music maker-a-like program which I didn't like, so after 1,5 month I switched to Fasttracker II (who didn't). After I met Deester, he adviced me to switch to ModPlug Tracker which I still use after all these years. My mainproject is [a=Carnage], and I have a couple of side-projects. All of them are serious except for Garbage and The Evil Sons. In 2002 I saw that a lot of friends didn't have a smallest chance on a release, eventhough their tracks were very good, and definately release-quality. I decided to start my own label. It took me 2 years to get everything sorted out (I'm lazy sometimes :P). In January 2004 [l=Underground Society] was a fact and the first release was out. In the meanwhile I got a contract at [l=Zero Tolerance]. For me it's not a challenge to release on my own label, so I try to release as much as possible on other labels. But because I'm always very busy (and most of time I don't have much inspiration) the tracks are finished in a very low tempo. Still some nice things coming up :). |

Search | Add | 2 | The Gothic Cowboy | Melvin Litton | Born in 1950, Melvin Litton grew up on a creek-bank farm and small town in Kansas. A straight arrow out of high school, he entered the Air Force Academy in ’68 aiming to be a cold warrior/astronaut. But gazing out a window late one evening in the cadet library, listening to “Sounds of Silence” as the snow fell quiet on the darkened plain, he felt an urge enter his blood stronger than any dream of flying jet or rocket. Come Christmas he left the academy and with a wager won off a high-school buddy walked into a pawn shop and bought a $25 guitar. Within a month he’d written his first song and the following summer faced with dropping 150 bucks on a sweetheart’s diamond ring or a sunburst Gibson, he choose the guitar, lost the girl, soon found one better and kept on pickin’. A few years on found him singing regularly in bars and he took the handle “The Gothic Cowboy,” drew up a poster (which partly forms this cover), and rode solo as such over next 20 years through a maze of dead-end gigs, hitting Canada, New England, Colorado, Nashville, and Austin, finally landing back in Kansas. There, in his mid-forties, he formed The Border Band with guitarist Roger Holden and drummer Dave Melody. Again, over a 20-year jaunt they played their brand of rawhide rock ‘n country blues through 100s of regional gigs, shifting through more bass players than a spider has legs while putting out 5 CDs, all gaining fair notice on roots music sites and indie radio. Trail weary by 2016, he retired the band determined to ride out his days once more solo as The Gothic Cowboy. But he soon teamed up Mando Dan Hermreck and together they put out a double-disc “Between the Wars” in 2019. Nearing his biblical span, he offers “Bare Bones,” a 4-disc set of homespun songs from his youth, subtitled “Chance, Folly, Desire & Dream” and best described in the liners from the back cover: |
