Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Members: Francisco D'Uva Gerónimo Godas Rodrigo Godas

Search | Add | 10 | Hatch Show Print | Print and Design company in Nashville, Tennessee. Managed by [a2046300] from 1984 to 2018. William Hatch ran a print shop in Prescott, Wisconsin, where his two sons, Charles and Herbert, grew up learning the craft of letterpress printing. In 1875, William Hatch moved his family to Nashville where, four years later, Charles and Herbert founded CR and HH Hatch. Hatch creates uniquely designed posters for events. These limited edition Hatch prints sell out quickly and rarely are reproduced, making them instant collector’s items. Each print is a work of art created using the same letterpress technique today as the Hatch brothers used back in 1879. The hand-carved blocks that form Hatch posters are laid out in reverse on plates, inked and run through antique letterpress machines by hand. 224 5th Ave. South Nashville, TN 37203

Acompanhou The Supremes (Diana Ross), The Four Tops e Johnny Mathis. |

Search | Add | 10 | Borg Linz | borg SOUNDS Composing your own songs is an essential part of training at Pop BORG Linz. The foundation stone for this is laid during a project week at the beginning of the 6th grade - supervised by Gottfried Angerer and Günther Böcksteiner. During the 6th and 7th grade, pieces are written for 2 shows in the Posthof Linz. The 7th grade songs will be recorded on CD in a final project week. Ensemble and recording management: Wolfger Buchberger and Georg Wild. Mix/Mastering: Wolfger Buchberger "Music is the common language of humanity." Henry Wadsworth Longfellow For musically gifted students, an in-depth examination of all areas of serious and popular music on an auditory, analytical and practical level is made possible. Piano, guitar, electric guitar, drums, saxophone, vocal lessons (voice training) and violin are currently offered in instrumental lessons and are taught in small groups (3 to 5 students). This enables largely individual support for the student. The compulsory elective subjects music education and instrumental lessons offer the opportunity to deal with individual focuses theoretically and practically with smaller groups. In the 6th and 7th grade, the choir or instrumental ensemble is compulsory. This ensures a further deepening of the practical skills learned in music or instrumental lessons and enables the students to make targeted, cross-class music-making at a high level. The equipment of the school, which is unique for this area in Upper Austria, with a large number of pianos, instruments in every area and technical systems, enables a comprehensive musical education, which can be expanded even further in non-binding exercises. The technically very well equipped ballroom with its variable stage is regularly the scene of concerts and musical performances by the students of the BORG. IMPORTANT !!!: Interest in music of all styles in the practical and theoretical area. Joy and willingness to perform when singing, practicing, making music together and presenting in public.

Search | Add | 10 | The B.B.C. Wireless Military Band | The B.B.C Wireless Military Band, later renamed the B.B.C Military Band ran from September 1927 until 1943, with a repertoire largely made up of orchestral works. It had a staff arranger Gerrard Williams and was conducted by Walton O'Donnell, succeeded in 1937 by his brother, Major P.S.G. O'Donnell. ( It is possible that this change of conductor led to the dropping of the word Wireless from the band name) The band proved immensely popular and had original pieces written for it by, amongst others, Alan Bush and Gustav Holst. The B.B.C decided to axe the band in the 1940s and despite much protests it gave its final performance at 9.40 pm on Tuesday, 16 March 1943.

Search | Add | 10 | The Northern Illinois University Jazz Ensemble | NIU Jazz Ensemble is a [l=Northern Illinois University] orchestra established in 1969 by [a=Ron Modell], which has long been considered one of the best college jazz bands in the world. The Orchestra participated in many international festivals and performed with such artists as [a=Dizzy Gillespie], [a=Louis Bellson], [a=Clark Terry], [a=Tito Puente] and [a=James Moody]. Not to be confused with [a=NIU Jazz Lab Band]. When Modell was assigned to create a jazz program at the University from scratch, he already had some experience: before joining the NIU, he successfully established a stage band at [l=Southern Methodist University] in Texas. NIU Jazz Ensemble played the first concert in October 1969, only six weeks after the launch. Under the talented leadership and with a strong cast of musicians, the orchestra quickly rose to the national fame. In the summer of 1977, NIU Jazz Ensemble joined Dizzy Gillespie as the featured performers at the annual conference of the International Association of Jazz Educators (IAJE) at Dallas. In 1983, PBS aired a documentary called A Year in the Life of the Greatest College Jazz Band in America about the orchestra, which won two Chicago Emmy awards. NIU Jazz Ensemble traveled to Europe that summer and appeared at the famous Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. The live recording of that concert was released in 1984. The ensemble performed at the 54th annual Midwest Music Clinic in Chicago with saxophonist [a=Jimmy Heath] as the guest artist, and at the 28th annual IAJE Conference in New York with trumpeter [a=Wynton Marsalis]. In the summer of 1996, the NIU Jazz Orchestra returned to the Montreux Jazz Festival as [a=Quincy Jones] big band with guest artists [a=Phil Collins], [a=Patti Austin], [a=David Sanborn], [a=Gerald Albright], [a=Chaka Kahn], and [a=James Morrison]. With his contributions to the seminal classic hip-hop films "Wild Style & "Style Wars", various music videos & his tour of duty in Baltimore where he, like a "messenger of style" single handedly kick-started a graff-scene that still feels his influence today, his place in the history of graff-dom is secure. In addition to designing several t-shirts, album covers, & logo work for various artists including: THE FUN LOVIN' CRIMINALS, THE BLACK CROWS, CAMP LOW, GRANDMASTER FLASH, SLY-n-ROBIE'S TAXI DJ. LINK, SKARhead, etc. ... etc. & creating the classic "YO! MTV Raps' logo, his work has been, & continues to be seen in various publications & art galleries globally.

Search | Add | 10 | Imaginatic | Cristiano Zatta | Born in 1968, Cristiano Zatta has always covered polyhedric roles in the audio and music field. For more than 30 years of his life he has worked behind the scenes as a producer, sound engineer and composer. He started his career as a freelance musician and engineer and then founded SkillMedia with his partners, also managing the recording studios, now well known as San Giacomo - Spazio d’Arte near Padova - Italy. In the early years he was mainly focused on jingles, advertising, sound design and audio post-production, a role that he has continued with. He then gradually widened his skills to music producer and composer for Sound Vision - production music library, whose catalogue is distributed all around the world for the audiovisual market. Like a natural evolution, he started working as a passionate producer for ImageSonika, whose most recent project really flourished his skills in contemporary classical and crossover music for film soundtracks, fusing the photography and video production of his business partner Michele Zangrossi. At last he released under the Imaginatic [retro archive] series a new re-publishing of his works as a producer and composer by the years. |

Search | Add | 10 | The Original Gospel Chimes | The Gospel Chimes started singing in the late 1950s, and their home base was Chicago, Illinois. Just who formed the group is a mystery, some sources claim James Cleveland, and others say Jessy Dixon. Both men were just starting to rise in the field of gospel, spreading their talents among the group as well as choirs. James and Jessy were a perfect match, they sang alike, both phrased in a modern quasi-pop manner on ballads. They were both composers' and wrote and arranged a number of the songs the group did. The harmonies they arranged for the Chimes mediated between 1950s gospel groups and the evolving choir sounds. The Chimes released four albums on the HOB label, before moving to the Savoy label, and in later years recorded on the Atlantic label. Some of the groups sessions also included Billy Preston and Alfred Bolden (Voices Of Tabernacle) on the organ. As with most gospel groups the personnel was always changing, the Gospel Chimes have included James Cleveland, Dorothy Norwood, Jessy Dixon, and Imogene Green (of the Davis Sisters and Caravans fame.) Two of the long stay members were Lee Charles Neeley and Claude O. Timmons. After his tenure with the Gospel Chimes, Lee Charles Neeley ventured into to the secular side of the music. His career lasted a few years and spawned a few minor hits for him during the late 60's and early 70s.

Search | Add | 10 | Fei Xiang | Kris Phillips | Kris Phillips was born in Taiwan in 1960. His father was an American diplomat and his mother a writer. He was first accepted by Stanford on full scholarship but dropped out after a year. He moved to New York in order to pursue a career in theater. He went to American Dramatic Arts Academy in New York and graduated in 1980. He made 3 movies in Taiwan in the early 1980s, but, at the same time, his singing career took off in a much bigger way. Kris made 13 records in Asia from 1981 to 1989, and every one of them was a best seller. In 1987, because of his American citizenship, he became the first performer from Taiwan to perform in mainland China's New Year's Eve variety show. It was an overnight success, and Kris dominated China's pop music for the next 3 years. He made 5 records in China between 1987 and 1989. Kris moved to New York in 1990 and was in the original Broadway cast of Miss Saigon. He also appeared in a few other Broadway musicals and plays between 1990 and 1995, but none of them was particularly successful. In 1995, he joined Andrew Lloyd Webber's touring company, costarring Sarah Brightman, in Webber's The Music of Night concert. The concert started in New York's Radio City Music Hall and then toured 43 cities in the US. The same concert was moved to Beijing in September 2001, with Elaine Paige replacing Brightman. It was the first time Broadway musical being introduced to mainland China. Kris Phillips also made a big comeback as a recording artist in Asia in 2000. He made two records in 2000 and 2002. He still is one of the highest paid stars in Asia today. Although he works extensively in Asia, Kris keeps an apartment in New York and considers himself a New Yorker. |

Search | Add | 10 | Los 33 | Panamanian rock band founded in Panama City in 1988. In 1989, they released their first EP, “Llévate Lo Que Quieras” (Take What You Want), including their best-known songs: ‘Múdate O Muérete’, ‘Alguien Te Espera’ and ‘Ya Ni Me Llamas’. In 1991, their first full-length, “Malas Compañias” (Bad Apples) and the single ‘Tengo Miedo’ became a hit in many radio stations. In 1993, the band released their second album simply titled “Los 33”, which became a fan favorite. In 1997, Los 33 found international recognition with their album “Renacimiento Letárgico” (Lethargic Rebirth). The video for the song ‘No Tengo A Donde Ir’ saw heavy rotation in MTV Latino. The band toured and shared the stage with [a=Enrique Bunbury], [a=Aterciopelados], and others. In 1999, after some line-up changes, the band returned with an acoustic album titled “Experimento Acustico” (Acoustic Experiment), which was well received by fans and critics alike. Two more studio albums were released: “Arriba” (2002) and “On” (2003), which show the band further maturing the hard rock sound presented on their first releases. In 2007, the band was voted the best rock-pop band at the “Sexta Entrega de los Premios PanamaRock”. In 2008, a compilation with their greatest hits, live tracks and brand new songs (plus a DVD with music videos) was released. After that, the band was apparently on a hiatus, however, they seem to be active once again, and they even changed their name to Los 44 in 2013.
