Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

They are a former stage of [url=http://www.discogs.com/artist/4234996-Bristeil]Bristeil[/url], having over 15 years on the scene path with mostly English language songs. In 2012 the band released the first full LP [url=http://www.discogs.com/Hair-Peace-Salon-Gentleman/master/793754]'Gentleman'[/url], which received positive feedback from music fans and experts. The band members have no hurry to making music. The guys are still young and still having fun: self progress + satisfaction. :) Since 2007 the band has won several awards of rock-n-roll contests, their songs are constantly on-air. The band has taken part in many TV and live radio-shows and hooked a lot of festivals in Belarus and abroad. In mass media their music is described like entwined desperate energy with romantic notes of melancholy and sadness filled deep lyrics with soul uneasiness and plaintive hope for happiness. The music is intense, but melodic and lyrics are a kind of anthem to nobility, firmness and generosity with a bit of self irony and eccentricity. Hair Peace Salon music is imbued with absolutely perceptible emotions, a hook will be hardly to make a jump off from. :)

| Search | Add | 13 | Dawn Riding | Oakland, California While songwriter Sarah Rose Janko was growing up waiting tables & watching blues and rock & roll bands in her Dad’s west coast bar, Jasmyn Wong was learning to drum to Riot grrrl records & dancing her way through the underground SF goth scene, and Hall McCann was in the Northeast practicing harmonies to old country classics & sneaking out of the house. They each went on to live in different cities, find friends & temporary homes, travel long distances for love, learn about heartbreak, and eventually land in Oakland, CA, where the tough, lonesome sound of Dawn Riding was born. Though they grew up in separate realities, the ladies of Dawn Riding were all raised by the unapologetic, inclusive, gritty culture of the underground. It’s one of the only ways to explain how they’re a tough-as-nails country-folk trio who are indisputably more punk rock than Americana, and more southern gothic than country. Together they invoke the dark honesty of Lucinda Williams, the close harmonies of the Everly Brothers, and the hypnotic, dreamy overtones of Mazzy Star – a formidable soundtrack to long nights of slow dancing, and true stories of unknown legends. They make music for their friends, their lovers, and the unyielding spirit of the underdog. | |

Continuously experimenting in various media including acoustic films, videos, happenings, and collages, canecapovolto investigates the expressive potential of vision and the dynamics of perception, adopting original techniques for treating and manipulating images. Starting from film, from visual and sound experiments initially tied to super-8 shorts, the group draws on various audio-video production techniques, ‘sabotaging' the initial media image to catch viewers off-guard. A great deal of attention is paid to investigating the scientific communication model and its response in the viewer.

| Search | Add | 13 | Bob Bryden | Robert C. Bryden | Canadian songwriter, guitarist, and singer Bob Bryden began his professional music career some time in the early '60s. Over the next four decades he lent his impressive skills to a long line of different bands, appearing on numerous singles and albums with them. Other groups he worked with included the Outcasts, Benzene Jag, the Brick, Age of Mirrors, and the Christopher Columbus Discovery of New Lands Band. When Bryden formed new groups, he usually brought at least a couple of familiar faces along with him. During the latter part of the '70s and even into the early '80s, he tried a turn at a solo career that produced a few more albums. Bob Bryden was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Working with the group Reign Ghost, he saw the release of his first album in 1968. He next recorded with a rock band called by the unlikely name of Christmas. In 1977, Bryden completed his debut solo offering, The Displaced Years. It was released by the Open Heart label and only on cassette. He spent a decade working with other bands before a sophomore solo album hit the market in 1987. Along the way, Bryden appeared on nearly two dozen albums, some reissued years after their original release date. |

| Search | Add | 13 | Dixon House | Dixon House is a Canadian-American singer and keyboardist. Edward "Ted" Dixon House was born and raised in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. In the late 1960s and early 1970s he played in bands like The Hidden Fifth and then his own Ted House Trio. The trio were a popular house band and played continually in clubs around Victoria, Nanaimo, Vancouver and Abbotsford and did two summers on the BC Ferries. Ted moved to Vancouver in 1974. He continued to work with rock groups and joined the group, [a1030461]. In 1976 he and they caught the interest of [a267660] (Heart's producer) who recorded am album for the fledgling Mushroom label. The record never came out, due to the label's preoccupation with its star group, [a136201]. (One early member of Songbird was [a504644], now of Heart. Howard and Dixon have remained good friends, and Howard played all the guitar parts on Dixon's later solo album Masked Madness as well as co-writing several songs.) Dixon relocated to Seattle and moved on to another record label, Infinity, releasing an album "Fighting Alone" with his group [a1789819]. To support this album they toured much of the U.S. and Canada, sometimes as headliners-sometimes as the opening act, including opening for Rick Springfield. The band were not promoted well and broke up Mentor Mike Flicker, encouraged Dixon to return to the studio in early 1981 where he recorded a solo album "Masked Madness" with some of L.A. and Vancouver's finest session players. Soon thereafter the album was picked up for American distribution by A&M, but failed to sell. Ted went down to Hollywood and did some songwriting with Randy Misner of the Eagles and appeared on the Merv Griffin show before moving back to Vancouver as well as living in Japan for some time. | |

Elena Kalugina graduated with honors from the Omsk Music College in vocal class and three courses at the Correspondence Institute of Musician Teachers at the Moscow Conservatory. She trained as a choir conductor, but the war prevented her from completing her studies. In Omsk, she worked as a singer on the radio, as an accompanist in a choreographic group, led vocal clubs, and was the organizer of several choral groups. She devoted all her teaching talent to the professional training of vocalists and choirmasters, working at the Omsk Music School. Elena Kalugina trained a galaxy of gifted musicians. Almost all honored artists of Russia - singers of the Omsk Folk Choir - are students of Elena Vladimirovna. But the main work of Elena Kalugina’s life, with which she glorified herself and the Omsk region, was the creation of the State Omsk Russian Folk Choir. Having never been involved in folklore before 1950, Elena Vladimirovna managed to make a lot of recordings of Siberian folk songs within a few months and began processing them for the choir. During her trips around her native land, she collected many original songs and dance tunes. Kalugina’s invaluable merit was that in forming the repertoire of the Omsk choir, she did not follow the path of imitation of already known groups, but took as a basis truly Siberian folk art, preserving the original style of song and dance. The name of Kalugina is associated with the emergence of the very concept of “Siberian folk song”. Some researchers denied the presence of an original choral singing culture in Siberia. Through enormous research and collecting activities, Elena Vladimirovna was able to refute such speculation. She was also the first to use a truly innovative technique - a choral performance of a Russian song without a conductor, and this manner was picked up not only in the country, but throughout the world. Over the 10 years of Elena Kalugina’s work in the Omsk choir, the collective has taken a special place among other Russian folk choirs, worthily representing the creativity of our region around the world. Just three years after the creation of the team, its first victory happened - at the World Festival in Bucharest. The Omsk choir won 1st prize and a gold medal, beating 32 competitors from around the world. This victory became the most striking milestone in Elena Kalugina’s creative activity; it opened the international touring life of the choir. |

| Search | Add | 13 | James Sammon | James William Sammon | James Sammon's career began in his late teens as a pirate radio DJ on Dream FM in Leeds, England. From there he went into club djing through contacts made at the radio stations where he had worked. By 1991 James had begun to press his own vinyl after being inspired by certain records heard whilst managing a record shop. At that time, the sound in the North of England was the Italo Piano sound. This was the sound James stuck with from the early 90s when he released "Whitney Tune" in 1992 through to the release of “Blurred" in 1996. “Blurred” got James his first UK top ten chart hit as Pianoman. Other aliases he has used are Bass Boyz, Piano City Productions, DJ Friendly and Technical steps. After the worldwide success of “Blurred” (which sold 380, 000 copies), problems at the record label James was signed to (London / FFRR) prompted him to start his own labels and publishing company to look after his own material. James currently owns two record labels, [l=Solo Vinyl] and [l=Salford Central Records], along with a publishing company, Blurred Music Publishing. Since 2004 James has concentrated on the genre of house music once again, particularly electro and funky styles. He also writes original songs for his own productions at the hd1 recording studio based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. |

| Search | Add | 13 | Philippine Brass Band | Philippine culture is a combination of Eastern and Western cultures. The Philippines exhibits aspects found in other Asian countries with a Malay heritage, yet its culture also displays a significant amount of Spanish and American influences. Traditional festivities known as barrio fiestas (district festivals) to commemorate the feast days of patron saints are common. The Moriones Festival and Sinulog Festival are a couple of the most well-known. These community celebrations are times for feasting, music, and dancing. Some traditions, however, are changing or gradually being forgotten due to modernization. The Bayanihan Philippine National Folk Dance Company has been lauded for preserving many of the various traditional folk dances found throughout the Philippines. They are famed for their iconic performances of Philippine dances such as the tinikling and singkil that both feature the use of clashing bamboo poles. In these fiestas and festivals various bands and ensemble play the Brass Band Instruments- the tuba, xylophone, saxophone, clarinet and oboe. The sheet above issued in 2001 features these instruments.
