Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Freres Peur | Freres Peur | The Freres Peur (Jeremie Lasseuax, Circus Disfus, Gresio Lubbia, Languido Policorvio, Seflü Onglet and Peur Whis) are an European art collective best known for avant-garde and experimental music, multimedia works, famous for being the founders of the Rumedelic Music. Throughout the group's existence, the individual members have ostensibly attempted to operate under anonymity preferring, instead, to have attention focused on their art output. Much outside speculation and rumour has focused on this aspect of the group. In public, the group appears hidden behind a huge Plasmatron often wearing noisy helmets and dressed as elephants. Although the Freres Peur developed a substantial following and generated considerable press coverage, they never released a record until 2013. The Freres Peur hail from Sumanie (France), where they met in high school in the 1980s. In 1986 the members headed south, but after their truck broke down in Arvier (Aosta Valley), they decided to remain there. While attempting to make a living, they began to experiment with tape machines, photography, and anything remotely to do with art that they could get their hands on. Word of their experimentation spread and in 1979, an Italian guitarist and multi-instrumentalist named Gresio Lubbia and the mysterious Circus Disfus (whom Lubbia had picked up in Belgrad where the aged avant-gardist was recording dogs singing) paid them a visit, and decided to remain. The two Italians would become great influences on the band, Lubbia's guitar playing technique earned him the nickname Aquarium Player. The group purchased crude recording equipment, instruments and began to make tapes, refusing to let an almost complete lack of musical proficiency stand in the way. In 1982 the group began to make the first of their unreleased tapes. Rumors have surfaced of two (of perhaps hundreds) unreleased reel-to-reel items titled "Northern ballads of The Dumb Elephant with the Czech Chameleons". The album has never been released in any form, and until 2013 they did not record any albums or single. In many says there are lots of tapes dating back decades, but they were all recorded before the group had officially become "The Freres Peur" so the band does not consider them to be part of their discography. Since 1980 they have performed only in secret and very few live performances, all carried out inside the forests of the Aosta Valley. In 2001 the former member of the band Jeremie Lasseuax left the Freres Peur. He was replaced by the follower of acousmatic music known with the nickname of Languido Policorvio. Until 2009, they have always refused to record their music, stating that the real music is that which does not exist, one made at random. In 2009, the first Freres Peur composition (Black Flesh) in more than 30 years was available on the Internet. In 2013 their first single record will be available on their label "Rumedelic Records". Near the end of 2013, Gresio Lubbia felt some of his own creative contributions were going unrecognised. At the end of 2013, with a recording session already booked to record another album, Lubbia quit the Freres Peur. In January 2014, the group added Peur Whis as the fifth member of the Freres Peur. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Emitto Audio | Built by modern techno minds and derived by self intended oscillating slapdash consequences that emit tweaked out phaser-esque realistic modulated sounds in an unclear or ambiguous tone. Our sound comes from a balance of huge spaces and smooth echo chambers forging machines from scratch; tweaking tools as a modern tribal creamy momentum that resonates a Robotic Servo device that corrects the action of a mechanism forming odd repetitive modulations. We look for mutations that cross-rhythm in a specific form of polyrhythms, unaimed distinguished rhythms that simultaneously adapt to reconstructed rhythmic conflicts that may be the basis of an entire piece of music or a momentary intuitive and impassive disruption. Just as poems elevate we amplify sound by aesthetic vibrations, working towards a hit-or-miss type approach in order to create and induce random sequences and analog reverberations emulating caveman sounds. He formed his first band the Rockin’ Kids in 1987. In 1988 he co-founded the Voodoo Cats which became Fantomi in 1989. Whilst working in Fantomi he worked as a DJ on legendary Blue Moon nights in Kulušić. Fantomi broke through and had national hits in 1990 with a 50 inspired sound and look. In 1995 he worked as a radio host on Radio Sljeme. Between 1995-1997 he released four independent singles. In 1997 he appeared at the first Croatian Radio Festival and that year he reformed Fantomi with new members in order to make the album Iza zatvorenih vrata In 1999 he founded the band Swingers to play swing (and 5os, early 60s rock and pop) In 2005 he gathered the band Fantomi for a short while, so as to give two performances and record a single after 11 years, which was called Stari saxofon and appeared on the compilation album – Fantomi – Zlatna kolekcija (Golden collection) Mareković continues to work on Croatian radio. Swingers continue to play and release material and often collaborate with other like minded artists from Croatia and from around Europe. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Mark R Taylor | Mark Richard Bush Taylor | From the composer: I was born in the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel, on 7th October 1961, to a working family with roots in rural Essex (NE of London, England), where I still reside. My maternal great-grandfather led the town band on the penny whistle; in 1904, Vaughan Williams collected folk-songs in the road where he lived, though I've no evidence Charles sang to VW! Electrified as a boy of 4 by the sound of my mother playing the piano at home, I demanded she teach me, made precocious progress, and almost at once commenced writing my own little pieces. Very lucky with early teachers, I progressed with scholarships to Brentwood School, where such music as there was remained largely extra-curricular (though Art and Languages were strong). I was chosen to play to Dame Fanny Waterman at a young pianists' masterclass at the 1975 Aldeburgh Festival; after lessons at the Royal Academy of Music with Alexander Kelly (later Head of Keyboard there), in 1978 I gained the ARCM Performer's Diploma, and was Regional Finalist in the BBC 'Young Musician Of The Year' Competition. I was by this time playing concertos with orchestras, including as rehearsal-pianist to the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, having been noticed by their Musical Director when she was adjudicating locally. I'd become a voracious devotee of the BBC's new-music output, and had, furthermore, discovered for myself such seminal books as Michael Nyman's 'Experimental Music: Cage And Beyond', and had now already produced compositions I continue to acknowledge. In 1979 I gained an Open Scholarship to read Classics & Modern Languages at the University of Oxford; before taking it up, in 1980, I played to Jorge Bolet at a week of masterclasses at the Edinburgh Festival. Once at Oxford, I changed subject to read Music; I performed (studying now with Susan Bradshaw), wrote music-criticism for undergraduate publications, ran the University Contemporary Music Group, and joined the (non-University) composers' collective 'Soundpool'. Accepted for Post-Graduate study, but denied a grant by the policies of the Thatcher government, I worked, being asked to teach in the Music Department of Royal Holloway, University of London, from 1986, and subsequently at King's College, London, and in the Music Faculty at Oxford (this latter leading in due course to Lectureships, at Lincoln College, Lady Margaret Hall, and Oriel), whilst also giving pre-concert talks at the Wigmore Hall, and tutoring for the Workers' Educational Association. I had sought out first Howard Skempton and subsequently Horatiu Radulescu for guidance on composition; hailed as 'very different and quite remarkable' (Richard Barrett, in 'Tempo', 1988), and as an early avatar of what would come to be dubbed 'The New Complicity' (Geoff Hannan and others' term, to connote that particularly 1990's aesthetic convergence of the European avant-garde with American Experimentalism), my music -- solo and chamber -- was to be taken up by such distinguished interpreters as John Tilbury, Julian Jacobson, Ian Pace, Carl Rosman, Darragh Morgan, and Michael Finnissy; increasing exposure, nationally and internationally, saw it released on CD on the French 'Do' label in 1992, as well as being broadcast and published. I was also Featured Composer at new music festivals in Oxford (1992), Cardiff ('Explorations', 1999), and London (2000). My close involvement with artists working in visual media has led to invitations to exhibit in my own right, in London and in Amsterdam (this latter, in 2002, under the aegis of the British Council). The recent enthusiasm of New York-based pianist Teodora Stepančić has resulted in her releasing an entire album of my music, on the 'Another Timbre' label (2018). |
