Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Heimatstürmer | They come from the wide valley basin in front of the entrance to the "Gesäuse": the home strikers. From their Styrian "homeland" they conquered the hearts of an ever-growing fan base in the "storm". Wolfgang Maunz, band leader by trade, has, together with the brothers Manfred and Peter Schnepfleitner, inclined towards music from childhood and earned his spurs with the perseverance of decades of practice. Various formations, including the legendary "Austria Quintet", preceded the home strikers before they were called to the trio in 1998. Countless live performances were and are the tools of their professionalism. 1998 - 2009, Austrian Folk Band The path to success led from private engagements on the large festival stages in the Alps to countless guest performances in the German-speaking radio and television world. With their sympathetic and atmospheric appearances, the home strikers have established themselves in the music business of the entertainment industry and have legitimized this with many top placements in the charts. It is not for nothing that they are repeatedly invited by all the important broadcasters. With their captivating routine, a lot can still be expected from the "passionate musicians": as a fixed star in the sky of popular music, to the delight of their fans, successful organizers and program directors. Wolfgang Maunz on the home striker: "Enjoying success means working hard on the future at the same time. The joy of this work helps us step by step to success that confirms our path!" | |

A leading figure of Portuguese rock in the 1970s and 1980s, António Garcez was one of the most intense "stage animals" of the national "electric art": with Pentágono, he played for millionaires in Cascais; with Arte & Ofício, he embraced jazz rock and graced stages across the country; with Roxigénio, he was a "hard" and cheeky rocker.

| Search | Add | 3 | George Bohrnstedt | George's professional music career began at the age of 15 playing polkas, waltzes and schottisches with Ernie Reck and his Country Playboys--a band that traveled throughout western Wisconsin and eastern Minnesota. After a brief stint at Winona (MN) State Teachers College, where he played in the College's swing band, he matriculated to the University of Wisconsin. There he played in the 32nd ("Red Arrow") Division National Guard Band, a colorful if not downright rowdy group that was stationed at Ft. Lewis, Washington during the Berlin Crisis in 1962-63. Back in Madison after his active duty stint, George played the clarinet and soprano sax with the Riverboat Ramblers -a popular traditional jazz band in the Madison-Milwaukee-Lake Geneva area and which recorded two LPs. While at Indiana University, George played tenor sax with the Faculty Fiveand the Royal Garden Irregulars in Bloomington. He also played tenor sax with the Yale Jazz Band while there on sabbatical leave in 1976-77 -a gig which was pure joy. But George played very little for nearly 20 years, even with wife Jennifer 'badgering' him. He did agree to play "Laura," for her birthday every year which forced him to practice just a little. Upon moving to the California desert, George found an easy venue to begin playing again at the Back Street Bistro in Palm Desert. With the encouragement of pianist and vocalist Linda Peterson as well as that from other musicians and friends in the audience, George has vowed to "keep his chops up." | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Hanyani Mangwani | Hanyani Faith Magwani | Hanyani Mangwani, had his humble beginnings as a musician as a pianist for a local church. His love for music grew ever so increasingly over the years, from whence he joined a 5 piece band. It wasn’t long till his love for music also lead him to join forces with his long-time friend, Gauta Lenake whom he’d met at primary school. Hanyani is a creative musician, who loves his craft, and quite evidently who’s love for music seems to know no bounds! Through working with the band, Divine Essence, Hanyani has enjoyed sharing stages with some of S.A’s most celebrated musicans, DJ Black Coffee, DJ Cleo, City Band, Kats, DJ Christos, Four Seasons, Morgan Beat Box, Tzozo & Professor and Rhythmic Elements at the 2010 FIFA Fan Fest. When Hanyani a.k.a Uber-Harmonics, isn’t making or playing live music, you’re likely to find him behind the mic, not singing or rapping necessarily but doing voice overs! |

| Search | Add | 3 | Siddy Valentine | Siddy Valentine is an artist that just want to scream it loud. His pop punk is full of influences, from classic punk to 2010’s metal, he’s always searching for a mix of every shade from the music witch he’s grown up with. There’s always a reference to his personal life and experience in his lyrics. “I play music since I’m 6 years old and punk scene has always fascinated me because of the grit and the right attitude has pushed me to fight against the world. From the ashes of the previous project, I decided that it was the right time for me to make my music and my own choices. I always tried to make my music as personal as possible, both lyrically and musically. After two years of battling from a thyroid cancer, I’m finally ready to go against my written destiny, and win." | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Silent Warhall | Doran Kidd (Rhonda Elaine Zirkle) was born in Kansas and raised in Minnesota. She’s from a town called Park Rapids. Minnesota is famous for producing artists. Bob Dylan, Prince, Craig Kilborn and Judy Garland are among her fellow Minnesotans. She left for London in her Junior year at Bimidji State. There she joined a theatre group, after attending the Royal Academy of Arts. She spent 3 years there working theatre at night and painting flats with a member of the Thompson Twins by day. She became a Mime working Portobello Road. As a mime, she was discovered by the Welsh Traveling Company. She almost settled in Wales, but for the errant heart of the company’s director. Returning to the States, she landed in San Francisco and started her music career. Teaming up with a number of musicians, she started a band called Touch, moved to Los Angeles and became Silent Warhall. Using public access, she took video equipment to the most remote locations, directed, shot and edited every frame. She worked part time jobs, painted portraits and acted to finance her art. She produced two CD releases, a cassette release, 54 music videos and 20 works of art. In the early 90’s, her band was often listed on the CMJ list. In Europe, “Vampire’s Lament” became an underground classic; and her videos were widely broadcast. Doran Kidd passed away September 1, 2003 in Torrance, California. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Victor Marinov | Victor Marinov | Victor Marinov is a Bulgarian musician, DJ and live performer. His professional journey in the electronic music started in early 90’s with the formation “Dve Kupeta” (experimental dark ambient), moving through the “Band of Mad Women” (electroacoustic band), “Vataff Project” (downtempo, ambient, IDM) and “Victor’s Mob.” (tech house, minimal, techno).Victor is also a cofounder of the label “Port One”. With his collection of analog synthesizers, effect processors and various software Victor has established his own recording studio. Within the years he has developed a specific musical taste, perfectly represented by his vinyl DJ sets. The magical music he creates falls undoubtedly into the categories of the intelligent techno, tech-house and ambient. Unless in the music and visions for his performances, Victor was also involved in composing of theatre and film music. One of his most prominent projects was in 2002 when he was invited in Berlin with “Vataff” by the advertisement company “Triggerhapptproductions”. He has been working there under a project with the director Zoran Bichach and the camera man Robbi Mueller (who used to work closely with Wim Wenders on many of his movies). Victor has been participating in different international musical events and appeared on many stages worldwide as a DJ & live act. Victor has various projects in creating and experimenting with the electronic musical sound and therefore, any attempt to describe or explain the essence of his music would be rather incomplete without listening to and directly experiencing it. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Bluegrass Reunion | Red Allen gave me my first job as a record producer ("Red Allen and Frank Wakefield" Folkways FA2408) in 1963 and my first job as a bluegrass mandolin player in 1965. In 1967, Herb Pedersen and I played together in the "Smoky Grass Boys," a short-lived California aggregation, and later on in "Here Today" with Jim Buchanan. Herb and Red found themselves in Nashville subbing for Scruggs and Flatt in the late 60s, and in 1973, Garcia and I joined forces in "Old & In The Way." Jim Buchanan joined my quintet in the early '80's, as did Jim Kerwin who also plays in the Garcia/Grisman band. Although this group is one which never played together previously, it felt like a reunion of kindred spirits... a Bluegrass Reunion. ~David Grisman, December 1991 | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Deildarbungubræður | Deildarbungubræður was a band that fought on the country market in 1977-79 and managed to release two large albums at the time. The band was originally assembled as a fun-filled event for the Melgerðismel in Skagafjörður in the 1976 shopping mall, where she played at Eik. The band was composed by Axel Einarsson guitarist, Bragi Björnsson (driver Eikar) bass player, Þorsteinn Magnússon (guitarist Eikar) drummer and Lárus Grímsson (keyboardist Eikar) guitarist. The country (which can be called Eikar's sister song) was a kind of counterbalance for the heavy music that Eik played, while Deildarbungubræður played a lightweight ballet that was easy to dance with. (Google translation of the text below until somebody provides a proper biography in English) - - - - - - Deildarbungubræður var hljómsveit sem herjaði á sveitaballamarkaðinn á árunum 1977-79 og náði að gefa út tvær stórar plötur á þeim tíma. Hljómsveitin var upphaflega sett saman sem grínverkefni fyrir útihátíð á Melgerðismelum í Skagafirði um verslunarmannahelgina 1976 en þar lék hún í pásu hjá Eik, Deildarbungubræður skipuðu að sögn þeir Axel Einarsson gítarleikari, Bragi Björnsson (bílstjóri Eikar) bassaleikari, Þorsteinn Magnússon (gítarleikari Eikar) trommuleikari og Lárus Grímsson (hljómborðsleikari Eikar) gítarleikari. Sveitin (sem réttilega má kalla systursveit Eikar) var eins konar mótvægi fyrir þá þungu tónlist sem Eik lék en Deildarbungubræður léku léttpopp sem auðvelt var að dansa við. | |

CHEB CREW - 7 years of strict punk rock with bloody hematomas "Пизды получат все!" |

| Search | Add | 3 | Saltwater Vampires | Saltwater Vampires is a three piece punk band from Charleston, IL. The trio met in high school where they quickly formed friendships sparked by their mutual love of obscure music and by their distrust of mainstream everything. The first two years consisted mostly of heavy drinking and sporadic writing which eventually led to creating and refining a style and sound that which consisted of a own-a sound the band affectionately describes as…"hook, heart, and balls". Over time, they perfected the anger/confusion-based love song which had became their specialty. After a few years of ignoring the music scene and avoiding public performances, they released a disc of ten songs chosen from their repertoire of over seventy originals, and entered the underground music scene. saltwatervampires@hotmail.com | |

Í árdaga tók hann þátt í ballharki hér heima á Fróni og lék með ýmsum sveitum frá Ólafsvík sem trymbill. --- Born on January 1st 1951 in Rekjavik, Iceland. The son of a taxi driver and a fish factory worker, Biggi Gunn was a dreamer, and had plans to lead I life much different than that of his parents. His love for music began at a young age. At the age of 14 he started his own band in which he sang and played the drums. He participated in school plays and when he was able, and he and his band would play at dances and events in small surrounding towns and soon all over Iceland. At the age of 30 he made his move to America where his younger brother resided. He has lived in southern California ever since. To hone his vocal skills, he studied opera and musical theater with a private teacher and through the next few years after making his move to America, Biggi formed many bands, with music genres ranging from jazz to rock to classic Icelandic favorites. In 2008 he released his first album “I was younger then” then just one year later in 2009 he released his second album “on the sunny side”. This year he is releasing his 3rd album, and although it reflects his first musical works, this album differs slightly. It is all in Icelandic. American favorites translated into Icelandic, so that he can share the great American songbook and all the music he loves with his people. Biggi will be making his debut performance of his new album at club Rosenberg in Iceland on November 10th 2012. Biggi has several more projects up his sleeves and plans to continue his musical career for as long as he can. |

She taught there from 1945 to 1965, rising to the rank of Associate Professor. In the early 1960s, Balling regularly accompanied the choirs of Our Lady's High School in Newton, Massachusetts at their Annual Spring Concerts, which were released on LPs.

| Search | Add | 3 | mc2000 | BJ Scofield | MC2000 (BJ Scofield) is a programmer / remixer who started Limitless Records in 2000 to publish his own dance material. His first record was entitled "Spiritual Awakening." Next, he released "Musical Evolutions." His final record on Limitless was called "Psycho." Adam Freeland claimed it was one of the best produced demos he had heard in the US at the time (2001). It was a hard nuskool track that caught the attention of Scott Weiser of Jackal & Hyde and Dynamix II. Omar Santana also heard the track and then flew MC2000 to LA for a week to work on music for a proposed new project called the Cyberian Knights; a group of artists who produced dark, nu skool and electro music. His remix of [a=Jackal & Hyde] "Seek and Destroy" was released in 2006 on Warped Recordz. After working with [a=Omar Santana] MC2000 remixed a track of his called "Impending Boom" which is unreleased. BJ Scofield currently lives in San Francisco and produces electronic music as a hobby but not as seriously as he use to. |

| Search | Add | 3 | The Dorothy Heralds | Eclectic Rock? Progressive Art Rock? Electronica-Induced Power Pop? Attempts to categorize Madison-based The Dorothy Heralds seem intriguing at best. For, if you've seen this ensemble live, you know that the experience is one that defies conventional expectation. The Dorothy Heralds mesh Matt Nelson's quirky, experimental electric guitar parts with Kevin Lozada's keyboard lines that stretch anywhere from ambient and subtle to intensely melodic and driving. Put these parts on top of the pounce-like, athletic bass leanings of Gary Chin, and an intricate instrumental bed unfolds. Vocalist Katy Rykken rounds out the sound with her rich mezzo-soprano voice that flows easily from airy and ethereal to brassy and bold. Each with a diverse array of influences and experiences, members of The Dorothy Heralds come together to create lilting melodies that thread together their unique package of sound. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | 110% Pure | Matthew Bradley | Music Career 2004-2007: Early Career and 1st Placements In 1998 a young Pure came to a fork in the road of his life where he had to decide whether to continue down the path of destruction or try to do something positive. Pure took his last $800 and purchased an Ensoniq ASR-X, and started cranking out beat after beat. Over time his skills increased to the point where he finally gained the talent and confidence to shop his tracks to major recording artists. In 2004 Pure met Bump J, a Chicago recording artist signed to Atlantic Records through a mutual friend and producer Boogz. Bump made countless songs to Pure’s beats and featured two of them on his “Chicagorillas/Gangsta Grillz” mixtape hosted by DJ Drama. Pure was on track to have his 1st placements with Bump’s debut album on Atlantic, but the project ended up getting shelved. In 2006 he earned his 1st placement through Disturbing Tha Peace/Def Jam, for their artist "Shawnna." He went on to earn two more placements on that project with the help of "DJ Geno," an employee of "Hustle Period," Studio Coordinator and personal associate of "Shawnna." By now the word got out in the Chicago music scene about 110% Pure. Pure needed representation now that he was ready for the big leagues. So in mid 2006 he inked a deal with multi-platinum management company "Track Kingz." That same year the producer launced his own production company, "Point Blank Productions, Inc." He worked with countless artists in the industry and also appeared on B.E.T's "106 And Park" in February of 2007. 2008-2011: Pitbull and Bad Boy Entertainment Management In 2008 Pure scored another placement on former TVT artist "Pitbull's" album "The Boatlift," entitled "Un Poquito" featuring "Yung Berg." That same year Pure inked a co-management deal with "Bad Boy Entertainment Group's" "Fran Spero," Senior Vice President Producer Management, Music Publishing and Special Projects. In 2010 Pure releases his new album "Pure Raw And Uncut," a compilation of songs featuring collaborations with both major and independent artists including: Shawnna, Brisco, GLC, Buk of Psychodrama and Bo Deal just to name a few. The album also features the smash hit single heard on the airwaves: “Boyshorts” featuring Co-Still. The same year, the record “Un Poquito,” featuring “Pitbull” and “Yung Berg” was featured in the 2010 film “Inhale” directed by “Baltasar Kormákur” starring “Dermot Mulroney”, “Diane Kruger” and “Rosanna Arquette.” 2011 was another good year as Pure produced the unofficial stripper anthem, “Big Booty Judy” featuring former DTP artist Shawnna and former Slip-And-Slide artist Trina. 2012-Present: An emerging Chicago Music Scene Pure took a brief hiatus from the music business to start his clothing line Grimey League, but was inspired by the young producers and artists that emerged in the Chicago music scene in 2012 and decided to get back in the game. Pure is currently working with Chicago artist Tree, who is from the infamous Cabrini Green Housing Projects and the creator of Soul Trap (an infusion of soul samples and trap drum sounds). They are working on an EP called “Trillin” which will be all original music produced entirely by Pure. The 1st single, “Karl Malone” has been well received by Internet blogs, record labels and tastemakers, locally and nationwide. The final project will be available for sale on iTunes the beginning of November 2012. |

| Search | Add | 3 | The Plain Hot Shots | From Plain, Wisconsin, in the Driftless Area. In 1948, Harlan Fingerhut and Joe Wankerl started playing with the Badger Valley Boys, a band that played for WWCF radio station out of Baraboo. Being of an innovative nature, these two musicians decided to form their own local band and soon, with several friends, they were beating out polkas, waltzes, and country western tunes. Harlan Fingerhut played the drums, Joe Wankerl the tuba, Kenneth Rieder the accordion, LeRoy Walters the trumpet, Dick Strait, vocals, guitar, or banjo, and Hank Dederick trumpet, tuba, or base guitar; a formidable group! Their most requested song, "E-I-O Polka," was recorded in 1967 and crossed the ocean to Bavaria. In 1971 (recorded in 1970), this outgoing group cut their first album, "Saturday Night with the Plain Hot Shots," at the Sauk City recording studio. The popularity of their infectious rhythm won wide recognition and soon they were taking in larger areas, traveling to La Crosse, Madison, and Waunakee. | |
