Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Toña Granado | Antonieta Granado | Toña Granado, (Antonieta Granado), was born in the city of Caracas, Venezuela. She was born into a family that loves music. Since she was a little girl she astonished her music teachers by the tone of her voice, so she became part of the school choir. Her father was a pianist and composer, and her mother She taught the secrets of the guitar when she was little. Later, he joined the chorus of the Applied Lyceum, being directed by the teacher Inocente Carreño. In his higher education, Toña, becomes a part of the Choir of the Andrés Bello Catholic University, being directed by the teacher Gonzalo Castellanos. He began singing in charity shows, but the reality of his voice led him to continue in the world of song, during the day he sold books and at night he played songs in nightclubs. Until, after his participation in the Ronda Award, in a tribute to Don Armando Manzanero came the proposal of the master composer to record an album "I have not stolen anything" was called the album. |

Search | Add | 3 | Randy Heller | "When Randy Heller was in college, studying to be an ophthalmologist, his favorite pastime was sitting in his dormitory room in front of his record player, listening to original cast albums of Broadway shows, and accompanying the performances on the bongos. But instead of turning out to be the best bongo playing ophthalmologist in Beverly Hills, he wound up being perhaps the only bongo player in Hollywood who could spell ophthalmologist. Randy Heller is kept might busy nowadays, however, arranging, playing and conducting albums that feature his "Percussionists." "Fortunately," says Randy, "I've been able to do a lot of what I like best – the great Broadway show songs played with all kinds of Latin rhythms and instruments." Randy's not the only fortunate one; the listener and dancer are lucky, too. As record buyers have come to realize, dance packages are often not worth listening to, and many displays of Latin-jazz fireworks defy dancing to. But Randy Heller's Percussionists fall into neither classification. Without compromising in either direction, Randy comes up with tunes, tempos, sounds and ideas that make for equally fascinating dancing and listening. It's what he chooses to call "vertical stereo," the kind of music that appeals to both the top and bottom, the ears and feet, of the human body." (from sleeve notes of LP "[r=8540797]."

Search | Add | 3 | Richard Perso | Richard Perso, being an only child, always had to make up for his isolation by creating the same amount of mess as 3 kids. It was only a natural progression that led him to making as much noise as a 3-piece band. He doesn’t seem to have enough arms, legs or lungs to pull off such a physically demanding performance but that doesn’t stop him from playing 3 didgeridoos, driving a weapons cache of overdriven acoustic guitars and somehow managing to replace the roll of a drummer with little more than his 2 feet. It is fair to say that Richard Perso is living the dream. He played his first festival at 15, won a string of competitions and awards at the age of 16, played at the Adelaide International Guitar Festival and National Folk Festival by 17. At 18 he has added Woodford Folk Festival and New York performances, a further 16 festivals 2009, as well as recording his Debut album in New York. By 19 he added a tour through Canada and East Coast USA He continues to blaze a trail through Australia’s vibrant festival circuit and live music scene. (from Web Link below)

Search | Add | 3 | Ida Andersson Band | IAB | IAB started out in 2013 as a one night band celebrating the women of the blues. But they loved playing together so they continued throughout 2013. Original songs started to emerge and the funky bluesy kind of "IAB Sound" started to take shape. 2016 saw the release of their first album "Funk 'n' Blues”. Recorded in Fårösund, by David Stiby. In 2018 they released "IAB TVÅ” recorded in Capstan Studios, Stockholm again with David Stiby. The album featured guest appearances from blues celebs Lisa Lystam and Ida Bang. The 25th of May gig at Joda in Visby was recorded for a live album. The album was recorded by Fredrik Larsson and mixed summer 2019 by Martin "Konie" Ehrencrona (of Viagra Boys fame) and released August 20th (streaming only). In spring/summer of 2020 writing sessions for ”Fyra” started. The album was – as with all previous releases – recorded live. All basic instrumental tracks on the 17th of October 2020. And a few retakes the 18th. The vocal tracks on a session a few weeks later. The album was recorded and mixed in Studio Massarve by Peter Otberg and mastered by Linus Larsson. Fyra was released in April 2021 as streaming only. Finally in January 2023 a vinyl LP version was released. Form the original 2013 line-up singer Ida Andersson Jupiter, drummer Johan Larsson, bass player Edvin ”Räkan” Holm and guitarist Christopher-Robin ”Garbo” Maurin are still with the band. In 2016 they were joined by singer and Rhodes player Linn Klintberg. (Text from Spotify.) |

Search | Add | 3 | Talgevo | Japanese punk band from Saitama. Active from 1982 to July 1988. Formed by high school friends, played the original and The Stalin cover songs in their early days. Early-Mid : Fast-paced punk with Typhus influences musically and lyrically. Later : New wavey punk rock. Generic sound. (Different vocalist) (Review by Brave New World) "Talgevo - Live at Explosion 8'' flexi Explosion Records - RO701 - May 1985 What can i say about this one ? Inessential but a rare find, pretty obscure record. Talgevo played upbeat Japanese punk-rock, which could be compared to a poppier version of The Stalin, for example... This is a live recording taken from the soundboard which does really well to capture the energy of the band, who might have sucked with a cleaner but mediocre studio recording. Here, the sound quality is pretty good, from the recording itself to the vinyl mastering, the work was done by passionate and dedicated professionals . Rock House Explosion was a "live house", a venue for punk, rock and metal bands, and also a record label. According to the catalog numbers, it seems they had produced many many different records during the 80's."

Search | Add | 3 | Mutandini Karl | "Mutandini" is italian and means "panty". Now if "karl" meant "kill" this would be the electronic reincarnation of the 90s allgirl band "Bikini Kill". But instead "Karl" is a male german name... Karl is the illusionary hybrid of Giovanni, Ice and Charlotte who are performing a clumsy electronic wave happening using a Roland Juno-60, Emu-Drumulator and sometimes a girlchoir dressed up as "Professore Simon". You might think of exaggerated, dramatic "Klaus Nomi" or impulsive, cold "Das Ding" or "Deux". But maybe they´re just a meldodramatic shifting shock; The contemporary version of the Doom Patrol if they were a band. Born at an artshow in frankfurt late 2012 and joined by 3 videobabies they now released a 7inch (limited on 250). "i would rather dance with you dear corpse than all the celebrities of the dancing world. you accept me and i accept you. i have no shoes and you have no skin. together we will flavour trees and flirt with dirt"

Search | Add | 3 | Totalitarian Musical Sect | The most interesting project of a new wave of modern St. Petersburg's musical scene. Describing the style of this collective's music is extremely complex. Musicians call it «a new Russian primitivism ». Music includes the features of rock, jazz and improvising music. The most influential names are German krautrock band CAN, ART ENSEMBLE OF CHICAGO and SUN RA. The group is a derivate from « Z ensemble », in which many Petersburg's musicians have played. Despite of a rather long history their first official release was only in 2002 by the company "HOR records". TMS is the constant participant of festivals of avant-garde art. The leader of the TMS, Dmitriy Kahovskiy, has played with all considerable musicians in St. Petersburg. At the festival SKIF-6 he performed in a duet with the legendary American guitar player Eugene Chadbourne, on SKIF-7 he played with unique Dutch drummer Han Bennink. Music by Kahovskiy and TMS will be used in some cinematographic projects («It is difficult to be God», А.German). Musicians of TMS also played in many other projects: Vitaliy Kucherov in Union of Commercial Avantgarde & Nado Podumat'; Alexey Stavizkiy in solo-project "Musicproduct"; Ilia Belorukov in DaDaZu & Miro; Maxim Pozin in DaDaZu & Bimka. Dmitriy Kakhovskiy - bass and objects Vitaliy Kucherov - guitar and objects Alexey Stavizkiy - trombone and clarinet and flutes and objects Ilia Belorukov - alto and baritone saxophones Max Pozin - alto and prepared alto sax and clarinet and flutes and objects
