Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 6 | Shopping Trolley | "I am unashamedly nostalgic" sings Melanie Pappenheim on the luxurious 'Bring back the Mary Hopkin days', one of 10 songs penned by John Miller on Shopping Trolley's eponymous debut album released on Hannibal Records in 1989 (Hannibal HNBC1349). Shopping Trolley was the band Miller led for several years in the 1980s and early 1990s. John Miller's work aches with a nostalgia for a golden age of English and American rock and pop music often of a somewhat off-centre variety. It is the world of the late Sixties/early Seventies and the annus mirabilis was 1971; reflected in the release by CBS of the double album compilation 'Rockbuster'; an event which Miller credits as a life-changing experience. John Miller's work over his entire career, starting with the superb Painswick Tapes in the late 70s/early 80s and continuing right through to the recent release of 'Preference', captures this era in style with a back catalogue of original songs and excellently judged cover versions. Around the age of 2 in Cobham, Surrey, John Miller began listening to records and hitting things. The lack of a drumkit partially diverted his musical inclinations from furniture to the piano, which he started learning formally at the age of 6. Gradually teaching himself to play by ear, he began making his own jazz/blues/pop concoctions and playing for various shows, concerts and plays. He had also become interested in making tape recordings using keyboards, drums, voices and biscuit tins. In 1989 he wrote and produced the 'Shopping Trolley' album for Hannibal Records, and he has created many more albums for his own 'Polenta' label featuring new and archival material. His work based in London has been highly diverse, with solo and group appearances and gigs with Stackridge, Van Morrison, Jacqui Dankworth, Simon Rackham (as 'Ornamental Balustrade') and many others. He is currently collaborating with the drummer Ben Reed in the duo 'Cardboard'.

Search | Add | 6 | Broken Finguz | Martin Weber | Started back in 2007, as the official DJ of the underground group [a=Killakikitt] and founding member of the label [a3544200]. Quickly improved production skills and came out with his first release on [a=Destruct]`s - Rebel Minded album (USA-2008) and [m936059] (HUN-2009). With the rap crew [a=Killakikitt] they toured the region and opened for artists like [a=Method Man], [a=Snowgoons], [a=MObb Deep], [a=Psycho Realm] & [a=B-Real] and many more. The rookie beat maker quickly became a highlighted producer in the underground scene, and his sounds started to reach out Mc`s and bands from overseas. In 2010 he entirely produced an LP named [r7174807] for two Mc`s from Los Angeles [a=Destruct] and [a=Beond] of [a218826], and the ball was just on roll, as he came out on several international releases with [a=2Mex] (of The Visionaries), [a=Gavlyn], [a57509], [a=Rebels to The Grain] and many more. After co-producing and release the LP [r3529926], the focus was again on the label [a3544200], as BrokenFinguz and Aza hooked up with international known heavyweight lyricists like [a431798], [a44392], [a14745] and many more, to release the worldwide album named [m788883]. In 2011 he founded the group “Mash Tape” together with [a2705548]. Their debut album [r9169455] has been released in 2012 and they invited the cream of Hungarian Mc`s. The same year he hooked up with the well-known lyricist [a3621972] and produced the contest winning song for [a=Red Bull] Pilvaker. |

No longer able to hula without leakage, he turned to music. As a idiot-savant of the panpipes, he strived to be cast as Tewt in every live musical adaptation of the 1963 Canadian children's cartoon "The Mighty Hercules". He failed. His frustration led to him screaming at police outside doughnut shops which led to the phrase, "The Cruller Knows Only Cruelty". He realized he found his true purpose. The doughnut-hole in his life was filled. |

Search | Add | 6 | Edgar Albert Guest | Born: August 20, 1881, Birmingham, England Died: August 5, 1959, Detroit, Michigan, USA A prolific English-born American poet who was popular in the first half of the 20th century and became known as the People's Poet. In 1891, Guest came with his family to the United States from England. After he began at the Detroit Free Press as a copy boy and then a reporter, his first poem appeared December 11, 1898. He became a naturalized citizen in 1902. For 40 years, Guest was widely read throughout North America, and his sentimental, optimistic poems were in the same vein as the light verse of Nick Kenny, who wrote syndicated columns during the same decades. From his first published work in the Detroit Free Press until his death in 1959, Guest penned some 11,000 poems which were syndicated in some 300 newspapers and collected in more than 20 books, including A Heap o' Livin' (1916) and Just Folks (1917). Guest was made Poet Laureate of Michigan, the only poet to have been awarded the title. His popularity led to a weekly Detroit radio show which he hosted from 1931 until 1942, followed by a 1951 NBC television series, A Guest in Your Home.

Search | Add | 6 | Laurens Tol | Laurens Tol | Laurens Tol is only 28 years old, but has become an integral part of the Volendam music scene. The bass player is involved in the lion's share of local musical projects. Although he graduated from the Conservatory five years ago, he still studies his instrument every day. This institution has done him no harm. "What I really thought was a great honor, for example, was raiding the 3JS," the musician proudly explains. Laurens has now reached a new milestone. His debut album, entitled The Four Trees, is complete and will be presented next Friday. By Kevin Mooijer In 2013 the Volendammer unknowingly writes the first song for the piece that would become his debut album five years later. ,, At the time I was very active with improvisation lessons from a good guitarist. After a few sessions, the teacher asked me to come up with my own piece a week later. I tried and actually liked it. ”Laurens got the taste for it and often ventured to write instrumental compositions. ,, At one point I had dozens of pieces on my computer and then the idea of making a record came up carefully. Once that thought is alive, you start using it much more intensively. Songs are improved and you want to create a certain line in the album, so it takes a lot more time. " There is good reason why The Four Trees is an instrumental album in a jazz atmosphere. ,, I really like to solo and improvise. You can hear that on the album, also with the other cooperating musicians. Whereas in pop music, for example, you are primarily supporting as a musician, in jazz you have room for improvisation. ” Despite the fact that jazz is often regarded as heavy music, it appears that Laurens ’album is experienced as very accessible. ,, Various people, both music lovers and musicians, have already touched on me with positive reactions about the atmosphere of the music. In the early stages it felt a bit uncomfortable to make this album, because I am used to playing music that appeals to me. So I am very happy that a lot of people like it. " Four instruments can be heard on The Four Trees; the bass guitar, guitar, alto saxophone and drums. The musicians who play the instruments are (old) acquaintances of Laurens from the music world. ,, For such a project as musicians it is important that you have a good click with each other. The boys who participated in this album vary in age between their twenties and fifties. They are all great guests and moreover virtuosos. ”In addition to Laurens Tol on the bass guitar, you can hear Tom Rutgers (drums), Florian Hierdeis (guitar) and Erik van der Weijden (alto saxophone). ,, I am really proud of the end result. As a bass player you have the possibility to record your own album in the studio, that is such a special experience. Nobody takes that away from me anymore. " |

Search | Add | 6 | הולי | Holy was known in the local scene as a top guitar player for a short time during the 80's. He recorded "Hayanshuf" trying to break through but since his music was rooted deep in the 60's & 70's psych-blues-rock he didn't managed to sign with any major record company. He decided to produce the album entirely by himself including a completely DYI cover which he folded and taped by himself. As for the music, the album has the grace of a low budget production and the feel of a real enthusiastic guy, devoted to his music and free spirit. two tracks of the sound sample include his cover version to Jimi Hendrix "Hey Joe" (which combine phrases from Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Hendrix's own US anthem fuzz cover!) and a instrumental "hendrix style" track full of fuzz-feedbacks and swirl guitar, Rest of the songs on the album are sung in Hebrew! Privately pressed somewhere in the early 80's in no more than 100 copies (50 copies is agreed to be the most accurate number). This album was never reissued on LP or CD. The album failed to sell and got lost in history, Holy's only "big" success was a great blues gem session with Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac) while Green's visit in Israel in the 80's (recorded on a private CD). Although he's still living in Israel he has vanished from the music scene since then but was spotted many times playing his guitar around the streets of Haifa and other bars blues & rock evenings, additionally, he used to be a guitar teacher.

Search | Add | 6 | Jesse Waldman | Jesse Waldman | One of Jesse Waldman’s most cherished possessions is a cassette of his grandmother singing the Yiddish folk song Papirosen to his mother. A remnant, like the abandoned guitar discovered in his parent’s basement, that drove his rock ‘n roll dreams out of the suburban sprawl of Thornhill, Ontario, and into the bars of downtown Toronto. A journey cross-country led him to mountains, ocean, and into the arms of Vancouver's Commercial Drive music scene. Now his home of over twenty years, the West Coast continues to inspire his lush imagery, sublime melodies, and outstanding technique. Influenced by folk and blues pioneers Townes Van Zandt, Taj Mahal, and Neil Young, Jesse has toured Canada, Western US, and the UK, performing everywhere from local pubs to soft-seat theaters, appearing at major festivals including Vancouver's Folk and International Jazz Fests. Mansion Full of Ghosts is Jesse's highly anticipated solo debut, an exploration of the city's vast duality, a backdrop of beauty mirrored by a fierce underbelly, and a need to keep a light on in the dark. |

Search | Add | 6 | Christopher Cash | Fallbrook, California Desc: Born in Pasadena, California in the late fifties, Cash grew up along side rock music. As a boy, he watched The Beatles perform on Ed Sullivan and joined the ranks of their countless fans throughout the turbulent Sixties. Inspired by artists like David Bowie, Neal Young, and Lou Reed, he began playing guitar and writing songs in the early Seventies. After a string of copy bands to develop his performance skills, Cash joined forces with singer/songwriter William Loveless to form an acoustic duo called Akimbo. Freshly out of high school, Akimbo grew amplifiers, added drums and ultimately evolved into The Privates. The Privates enjoyed considerable success during the Eighties playing along side bands such as The Motels, The Plugz, and The Suburban Lawns at many of the popular Los Angeles venues of the day. The Privates signed a deal with a well known production company but fame and fortune never materialized. Buckling under the strain, The Privates broke up as their demo tape was being shopped and before the promise of a European tour could be fulfilled. As it turns out, this too was serendipitous. Dreams of rock stardom were replaced by more profitable endeavors ultimately providing Cash the resources to pursue his art on his own terms. During the Nineties, Cash played in various original groups including The Intelligence, Gadflies, and Wobblewire but career and family were his central focus. In 2004, Cash met producer Joe Ongie and asked him to work with him on his debut album titled Hollywood Mirage. In 2008 Cash released his second album Invisible with the band he had been playing since late in 2006. San Diego producer Jeff Berkley did a nice job helping him make an album he is very proud of. Since 2014, Cash has devoted a good deal of his time to his professional recording studio Sonic-Rocket.com In 2017 Cash formed another band called The Brilliant Deductions, this time with long time pal John Saccoman on bass and backing vocals, friend and Chief Engineer at the Rocket Shea Thompson on keyboards and backing vocals, Lead Guitarist (and Grammy nominee) Jan Bugaiski, and the amazing Dick Winter on drums. This has been a blast and is the foundation forsome of his best work to date. In addition to music, Cash is an accomplished woodworker, artist and holds down a full time job working for a reputable high tech company as a technical support manager.

Search | Add | 6 | Ulysses Manso | Ulysses Melo Manso | Singer and songwriter born in Brasília (BR). He began his career in 2010 with the band Salzband, with which he achieved significant relevance on the Christian scene, presenting an alternative sound to the congregational music of the time. Hits such as Somos um (We Are One) and Meu Coração Te Pertence (My Heart Belongs to You) already indicated his inclination towards rock, but with intimate and vertical lyrics. In 2015, with the album Sine Cera, the band dared to rock even more, but still generated a connection with the public, as shown by the success of the songs Foi de Graça and Oceano. In 2017, the album Sonhar e Viver (Dreaming and Living) showed an even more mature sound, consolidating their position as one of the most relevant bands in the history of the scene. The first single Nunca Me Deixe Parar reached number 13 on the Viral 50 - Brazil playlist, raising public expectations even higher for the band's new phase. With the end of Salzband in 2017, the artist launched the band Amen Jr. alongside Carlos Bezerra, Gabriel Eubank and Gustavo Ferraz. The singles V E R and L U Z marked the beginning of this new chapter in his career, followed by the EP F U T U R O, Ep.1 . Until 2022, when the band released their long-awaited album Buraco No Tempo (Hole In Time). |
