Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 6 | Eazy Makgobatlou | Eazy Makgobatlou | Co-Manager, producer, beatmaker, and DJ from Limpopo Raised in Rustenburg And currently in Johannesburg, South Africa, Eazy started his musical adventure at an early age. Born into a family of music lovers, he quickly developed a love for the sounds of Golden age hip-hop, Kwaito, underground, and house music. As his family was always playing various genres around him, he grew to love and understand the power and energy of music. He started out writing at the early age of 10, moved on to dancing, and soon started making beats and producing. Eazy started composing tracks at 15 and around that time got involved with local artist which progressed to international collaborations with independent artists including Jboo Tha Bully, PEchi , Juzmi and many more. Releasing mixtapes with friends lead to forming a production duo with Blayze Deville called The Virtuosos. Together they took over the local scene by producing singles and mixtapes. Eazy also now DJ's anything along the lines of deep tech, electro, techno, deep house, electronic, and dub step. With his ability to entertain the crowd and read their emotions, he's always able to make sure the crowd keeps moving. His genre specific versatility gives him the ability to switch and mix sounds on the decks that keep the crowd entertained with "his dirty bass music" leaving the crowd always wanting more of what he has to offer. Eazy is a true force to be reckoned with and he is a true entertainer now leading the development of the electronic side of Tree Machine Records from across the Atlantic. |

Search | Add | 6 | Eugene Brosnan | Eugene Brosnan | EUGENE BROSNAN grew up in the rural/industrial town of Millstreet in County Cork. His mother, possessing a beautiful singing voice was well known in the locality for herchoir work and her participation in many musicals. His father, though not a performer had a love of music and introduced the young boy to Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash, to this day huge influences on his music. Though geographically close to the traditional music stronghold of Sliabh Luachra, this brand of music did not rub off on the young musician. Instead, large doses of Rory Gallagher, Thin Lizzy and other pop rock and punk music were administered. Under these influences Brosnan left his native Ireland at the age of 18, guitar in tow and took to the streets, pubs and café bars of various towns and cities throughout Europe where he developed on his musical style by busking and gigging. In 1996 Eugene released his debut CD, "Well he said he'd be here!" to critical acclaim. Songs like Darwin Sound and I Can't Imagine marking him out as a very promising and creative young songwriter. |

Search | Add | 6 | The Bon Ton Soul Accordion Band | Kansas City Inspired by Zydeco accordion legends Clifton Chenier and Rockin’ Dopsie, Richard Lucente rediscovered his long-abandoned childhood instrument on extensive travels in Creole Louisiana. Soon after, he was afforded the opportunity (at age 40) to start his first band. Lucente’s prolific songwriting skills enabled the ever-evolving band to present an adults-only, dance-friendly original blend of Zydeco, Blues and R&B to their considerable and rabid fan base. It also supported the release of five successful albums comprised totally of original songs. Their annual Crawfish Fiestas routinely drew 10,000 fans. The band’s proud induction into The 2014 Kansas Music Hall of Fame is dedicated to the late, great Ed Toler, bassist for 17 years of the bands existence.

Cigani was one of the most innovative and talented groups within the past 30 years of American tambura history. Some of the great tamburitza artists who played with Cigani through the years were Jim Kopriva, George Salopek, Bob Vukic, Mike Kruljac, Bill Yurkovac, Tom Vesolich, Mike Klanac, and Ron Herak. Steve was also honored to have been able to play with his very good friend, Ken Herak, one of the greatest tamburitza musicians and vocalists of this or any era. Cigani played for picnics, clubs, weddings, concerts, christenings, and dances in the eastern half of the United States and also traveled as far west as Seattle, Washington. Cigani strived to develop their own distinctive style with innovative vocal and instrumental arrangements. Five popular long-play albums and one cassette were produced and many of the songs on these recordings still remain very popular. |

Search | Add | 6 | Joachim Stiller | Joachim Stiller is one of many monikers used by visual artist and experimental musician [a=Mees Joachim] and is a character from a book by Hubert Lampo, namely ‘De komst van Joachim Stiller’, from which Mees’ middle name is derived. The artist has been using the Joachim Stiller moniker for many moons, though the name was only used for a series of performances, a documentary and DJ-sets prior to the release of [r=29239720] in late 2023, a project in collaboration with [a=Absolute Candor], which was their first outing of original music as Joachim Stiller. April 2024 saw the release of Joachim Stiller's debut album [r=30513193], which was released on and by the Bad Boy Jesus Tape Club ([l=BBJTC]). The album emerged from remnants of the soundtrack from a cancelled videogame and a shelved space-jazz album and were reformed as a 45 minute ambient-synth opera about 'the many states of water and what lays within'. The exhuberantly long track titles, though curtailed on streaming services, function as little vignettes to paint a scene around the audio.

The use very early of the machines like VIC 20, COMMODORE 64, and trackers on AMIGA influenced his musical choices considerably. But most important was undoubtedly his meeting with the music of ART OF NOISE, then WARP (LFO), Orbital and THE ORB on the one hand, and the world of dance music with Richie Hawtin, Joey Beltram... on the other hand. From now on, his objective is to produce a high quality music without compromise, in order to perpetuate the movement initiated by the aformentioned artists. |

Soon, Merceedes made her way to New York and began to perform in Harlem night clubs; she also ran a well-known after-hours club in Harlem, the Gee-Haw Stables. On September 2, 1942, she joined the American Women's Voluntary Services (AWVS), leading a Harlem-based motor corps unit. In May 1943, she transferred to the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC). As Second Lieutenant Mercedes Jordan, she served as a Special Service Officer at Fort Huachuca, AZ, then became Transportation Officer with the all-black 6888th Postal Directory Battalion in England and France. Starting in the late 1930s, Merceedees also enjoyed some success as a composer. Her song "Like A Ship At Sea" was recorded by [a=Jimmie Lunceford] in 1938. Another piece, "Do You Know (Well I Do)," was featured by Jimmy Dorsey and recorded by Charley Barnet in 1942. She also created the official unit songs for the AWVS, "American Women for Defense," and the WAAC, "We're the WAACs." After the war, she became a local celebrity in Seattle, Washington. Apart from performing in local clubs, she had her own shows on KING-AM radio and on KING-TV. She also recorded several of her own songs for the [l=Linden] label. Between 1949-1951, she was married to local mink rancher, Russell Walton. |

Search | Add | 6 | Purveyor of Death | Purveyor of Death is a metalcore band from Norway which was founded in December 2010. The original lineup got a change in the summer of 2011 as Eirik Gausen (Vocals) decided to leave the band. They did a few concerts as a 4 piece band in the autumn of 2011. Remi Aleksander Borgsø joined the band at Christmas 2011. In the spring of 2011 Unknown Weakness was written, and several other songs were added during 2011. 2012 started with studio sessions for Man of Sin and I'll find my way. Man of Sin was to become their first vinyl single, and it made quite attention as the music video of this song participated in a local band competition. 3 more songs were recorded during 2012. Retaliation was recorded in January 2013 and released as a 10" vinyl single in June. Purveyor of Death are heading towards faster, harder and more complicated music, and are leaving the metalcore style. 5 new songs are planned to be recorded in the start of 2014, and a 12" EP or LP will be released within a year. _________________________________________________________________________________________________

Search | Add | 6 | Grupo Illiniza | Grupo illiniza (also known as illiniza) is a cultural association from Ecuador centered in Popular Latin American music since 1979. It has been recognized as one of the most influential musical ensembles in the country. Grupo illiniza was established in 1979 in Quito city and debuted on TV by winning a national music contest. The ensemble was created with the idea of culturally linking and preserving the different nationalities and music of the communities that make up Latin America. It all began at the Instituto Nacional Mejía of Quito, a high school made up of city youth, some of whom were quite concerned about the reality of the time, and wanted to do something proactively in order to change things and influence people in a positive way. To talk about Latin America, its music and traditions, means speaking about its cultural identity. Only by getting closer to those communities that still preserve the roots of their nationhood and engaging with their different cultural manifestations (i.e. song, music, dance, art), can we begin to understand the reasons for their behavior, assess their roles in history and their struggles to preserve a millenarian, multicultural heritage that has defied the incessant alienation to which it has been subjected. Grupo illiniza has performed on stage next to musicians and dancing ensembles from Latin America, North America, Europe and Asia such as Inti-Illimani, Joan Manuel Serrat, Luis Eduardo Aute, Mercedes Sosa, Silvio Rodríguez, León Gieco, The Moscow Ballet, Piero De Benedictis, Alex Alvear, Los Olimareños, Los Visconti, Tito Fernández, Illapu, Gabino Palomares, Los Folkloristas, Pete Seeger, Holly Near, Bernice Johnson Reagon, Sweet Honey in the Rock, Vicente Feliú, Tania Libertad, Quinteto Tiempo, Manuel Capella, Grupo Raiz, Noel Nicola, Kosetsu Minami, Adrian Goizueta, Pueblo Nuevo, Jaime Guevara, Roy Brown, Carlos Díaz "Caíto", Luis Enrique Mejía Godoy, among others. The members of the group are generally invited to tour European or American countries with the purpose of sharing their repertoire which is varied and elaborate, demonstrating instrumental and vocal virtuosity in festivals and concerts that include performing genres such as fusion, world music, folk, Latin, trova, Afro Caribbean, Andean, Brazilian, and nueva canción, among others. In 2010 Grupo illiniza received several Awards in a national music composition contest entitled Canción de los Andes which is organized yearly by the Education Ministry of Ecuador. The categories include Innovation of Musical Genre and Execution of musical instruments. Throughout its long musical career spanning over 30 years, the Association has received several National and International awards as well as distinctions including trophies, gold and silver medals, certifications in European as well as American music and dance competitions, festivals and concert performances. They have also been awarded the prestigious title Ambassadors of Art and Friendship in Belgium. Two books and other publications cite Grupo illiniza as a reference in various musical genres. These include Andean Music and Ecuadorian Musical Groups. Grupo illiniza has been recognized by respected musicologists like director and musical composer Julio Bueno as being one of the most important representative groups of Ecuador's popular music.
