Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025

Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 4 Bliss Repair Bliss Repair consists of St. Paul's [a=Eric Rea] and Omaha's [a=Stephen Sheehan]. The two first met while working at Spaghetti Works in Omaha in 1983 -- Sheehan as a waiter and Rea as a chef. They became musically bound thanks to a shared 3-year stint behind the counter at Homer's Records. Sheehan went on to form Omaha's first [a=Durutti Column] / [a=Throbbing Gristle] / [a=The Left Banke] - inspired rock band called [a=Digital Sex], which enjoyed its share of notoriety both locally and in, of all places, France. Rea also played in a few local bands, none of which he's willing to name (though they included The Decades), before moving to the Minneapolis / St. Paul area in '93. Bliss Repair music is anti-techno. With its lumbering beats, hippy-man bass lines, fuzzy-distorto guitars and synths, and myriad of '60s-era cult-reference samples, loops and sound effects, the duo's debut CD, Lo-fi Enlightenment, is nothing less than a stoner rock answer to Moby. And I haven't even touched on the blotter-acid-inspired spoken-word lyrics yet. Most listeners, especially those of the TRL / commercial radio variety, will find the whole thing downright weird and slightly unseemly.

Search Add 4 SAINTVILLY SaintVilly is a rapper and producer based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Born and raised in the city of brotherly love, his production style and writing reflect the deepest and truest parts of himself, however whacky or whimsical they may be. After finding a love for the art form in his sophomore year of high school, SaintVilly would go on to produce 2 EP’s that would later be lost to a wiped hard drive. Though some artists might have marked that as the end of their career, SaintVilly continues to use his love for his art and the world around him to help propel him from the studio to the stage.

Search Add 4 Da Enemy Ralf Rögner Ralf's musical works began in May 1989 when he produced the first songs using an Commodore Amiga system. The early years mainly were the period of time were he tried a lot of different styles including techno, breakbeat and experimental stuff none of which ever has been released to public. In 1992 he acquired a set of Technics SL-1210 turntables which gave him the chance to get inspiration by the pioneers of oldschool hardcore. Following these influences he started to focus on these styles while he still produced techno and trance tracks, also in cooperation with other artists beside. The second creative phase began in 1994 when Vernon D. Hill was his working-mate at a musicstore. Influences from the early 1980's funk and soul era found their place in his music. In the later time he found back to his roots and dedicated his creativity mainly to drum & bass. In 2008 he released the first vinyl of his drum & bass project sn00ze on Enemy Movement, a label he started on January, 1st of 2006.

He is best known for his high speed solos, for which he has been nicknamed la machine a coudre ("the sewing machine").He began his career in [a=Orchestre Stukas], a soukous band that reached the apex of its popularity in Zaire in the mid-1970s. In the 1980s he played the lead guitar briefly in [a=Bipoli Tshando]'s short-lived band [a=Victoria Principal] but reached the apex of his popularity in [a=Bozi Boziana]'s [a=Orchestre Anti-Choc], one of the bands the dominated the soukous scene in that decade. Dodoly was so fundamental to [a=Orchestre Anti-Choc]'s sound that, when he left, the musicians that replaced him (including major guitarists such as Rigo Star) all sought to imitate his style. Dodoly left [a=Orchestre Anti-Choc] briefly in 1987, to join [a=Djo Nolo]'s short-lived project [a=Choc Musica], but rejoined Boziana's band in 1988. That year, he was nominated "best guitarist" by the Kinshasa press. In Anti-Choc, he also contributed as a composer, writing hit songs such as Lelo Makambo – Lobi Makambo ("problems today, problems tomorrow"). He left Anti-Choc again in the mid 1990s.

Search Add 4 AL'S BAD AL'S BAD was a band from Neuwied/Germany that originated as a 1992 high school graduation band. After graduating from high school, the band started as a jazz fusion band, performing covers of Dave Grusin, Lee Ritenour, and Billy Cobham before increasingly incorporating comedy elements into their music and beginning to write their own songs in various styles. The cover repertoire was gradually replaced by their own songs from a variety of genres (rock, metal, country, pop, soul, funk, a cappella, hip hop) and enriched with comedy elements. This musical versatility helped the band take an important career step: in 1998, AL'S BAD became the late night band off the "Johannes B. Kerner Show" (broadcasted on germany's second national television channel) where they performed live with nationally and internationally renowned artists on over 100 television programs. The "Johannes B. Kerner Show" averaged one million viewers per show and was recorded at Studio Hamburg. The band revised and modernized the title theme (originally written by Dieter Bohlen for the show) and performed it live on the show. Musical guests were accompanied by the band, and typical late-night show jingles were developed and interspersed during the show. The band's growing popularity led to endorsement deals with renowned instrument manufacturers (including Marshall, Korg, Ernie Ball and Takamine) as well as performances at the Telemesse Düsseldorf, the Bundeskunsthalle Bonn and the legendary Funky Pussy Club on Hamburg's Reeperbahn, among others. After the show's production changed its focus from a late night show to a cooking show, the band's engagement in Hamburg ended. In total, the band played 150 gigs altogether.
