Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | TheReal D.TeL | Dante Dupuy | Born May 30th 1988 in Seattle, Washington at Swedish Hospital to Sondra and Gary Dupuy. Dante Dupuy aka TheReal D.TeL (TRD) being the baby of 2 older brothers, Gary and Donell. All brothers went to a catholic school in Tacoma, WA, Holy Rosary. TRD, being the only one to move to a public school in the middle of 3rd grade. His family stayed up to date with the latest music, sports and played sports for their schools. Taking after their footsteps, he followed suit and developed a love for music and sports, up until high school when an interest in music became greater. In school, he would make music in the same room the school news was reported which encouraged him to take it to the next level. Beginning only with a stage microphone taped to the wall in his closet, a bedsheet as soundproofing, equipped with a music program he never used before, TRD started his music career. Soundclick was the first site he uploaded his music to with great reception and criticism. Further perfecting his craft, he started to dabble with beat production. Having no one else to mix and master his songs, he taught himself that as well. With the passing of his grandmother in 2004, him and his family moved to Northern California, where he collaborated with other rap artists and producers. As TRD continued to get better, he won local unsigned radio awards. As time moved on, he upgraded his home studio and skills to sound like a professional studio. Making all party music, a positive song or a song about God every now and then without knowing much about Him other than what he was taught in catholic school, that's when he started to reflect on his life and music catalog. TRD began working on new material, but as he finished a number of songs, he felt like most of his new music had no positive impact, he knew something had to change. He didn't know what it was until 2015. TRD made a life-changing decision which started the transition to Christian music, releasing his 1st Christian single in 2019 and never looked back. |

Search | Add | 3 | Steve.e! | Steve Kasper | The ways of music lovers are actually not that inscrutable as you might think. At least Steve’s ways of musical preferences are pretty easy to reconstruct. In his home town Demmin on the Baltic Sea there was Hip-Hop at first. After he moved to Dresden, he danced his ass off at Drum’n’Bass parties and not long after he got into djing. Dresden’s small, unfortunately now defunct club legend L’Houp was the first location for his DJ sets which were still under the banner of rough Breakbeat at that time. After he discovered Dubstep, the parties became more numerous, bigger and musically versatile. His dedication to Dubstep is reflected in his more recent productions. In spite of his young age, he is up to every trick when it comes to producing hot tunes. Good proofs of that are not only the three releases on jamendo.com but also his constantly evolving live set. At Uncanny Valley he is responsible for the required twist, for example with his “Unvexed Dub” on UV010. As part of the Sub Sickness crew again, he is taking care of Dubstep in Dresden. from: http://www.uncannyvalley.de/artists/steve-kasper/ |

At the age of 16, he joined the music club of the Bonabéri high school where in 1984 he won the prize for “~Best School Singer~” awarded by Joe Mboulé, the great Cameroonian star of the moment. Two years later, he was director of the high school orchestra and of the school cooperative. A position he held for 3 years. At the Cameroonian youth festival in 1988, he largely contributed to the artistic success of his establishment named “~Best School Establishment~”, himself being proclaimed “~Best School Singer of the Coastline~”. Convinced of his talent, Njohreur decided to make music his job. Thus begins the artistic adventure of the young Francis Victor Njoh. From then on, cabarets and renowned groups in the country solicit him. Experiences that allowed him to adapt the repertoires of the most famous artists of the time, such as [a=Eboa Lotin], [a=Francis Bebey], Alexandre Douala known as "~ [a=Douleur]~", [a=Guy Lobé], [a=Hoigen Ekwalla] or again [a=Petit Pays] known as "~King of makossa love~” or “~Turbo d'Afrique~”, amazed by the talent of the young artist. |

Quite obvious these guys draw influence from bands like CKY, Metallica, Mastodon, and Queens of the Stone Age, but their approach is different. They stand out, similar to how Ren & Stimpy stood out from all the other Saturday morning cartoons... |

Search | Add | 3 | Галина Казакова | Галина Григорьевна Казакова | Galina Kazakova was born on April 13, 1928 in Moscow. She entered the Gnesenykh Institute, where she initially studied piano, and later switched to the choirmaster's course, while simultaneously studying vocal skills. The years of study ended with an invitation to the Bolshoi Theater of the USSR as a choir director, but Galina had already firmly fallen in love with the vocal art and, having won a representative competition, became a member of the Bolshoi Theater choir. In 1957, the talented singer took part in the International Festival of Youth and Students, where she met the novice composer and organizer of the youth pop orchestra of the Central House of Arts Yuri Saulsky, who invited Galina to his team. Then there were the years of working as a soloist in the famous Oleg Lundstrem Orchestra and returning to the choir of the Bolshoi Theater, in which Galina Grigorievna worked for a third of a century. She died on November 6, 2011. |

Search | Add | 3 | Leonid Sabaneev | Леонид Леонидович Сабанеев [Leonid Leonidovich Sabaneyev] | Born: 1881-10-01 (Moscow, Russia) Died: June 03, 1968 (Antibes, France) Leonid Sabaneev was a Russian musicologist, music critic, composer and scientist. Leonid Sabaneev [preferable & more common form is 'Sabaneyev'] was a Russian composer, musicologist, music critic & scientist. Son of a prominent naturalist & hunting/fishing expert, he studied mathematics, physics & natural sciences at the Moscow University while additionally attending historical/philological courses. Also, he was able to receive a high-class musical education, with some of the best teachers around (e.g. [a= Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov], among others). By 1920s he became a famous – if rather scandalous & (self-)contradictory - music critic; as well as a music theorist, both highly innovative & inconsistent. A colourful & eccentric person, he was a close friend of [a= Alexander Scriabine] & a good acquaintance of many significant (musical or not) figures of the era, impressions of which relations later finding themselves in print in his highly acclaimed memoirs. However, almost throughout his life, regularly though not exactly prolifically, he has been writing his own music – beginning at the turn of the 20th century & ending (obviously/mostly) somewhere in 1940s. He finished orchestration score for a grandiose oratorio 'The Revelation of St. John' (aka simply 'Apocalypse'), high-demanding & time-devouring on the author's part, in 1940; still, according to reports, he continued working at the opus until his last years. The score is believed to be entombed up to this day in some US archives, unpublished. Yielding to looming shadows of dreadful changes, Sabaneyev left Russia in 1926 & relocated to Paris where he was still engaged in busy & diverse music-related activities (composed/staged a ballet; published a good book on history of Russian music; etc.). Subsequently he dwelled, for limited spells of time, in London & US. During all his time in emigration Sabaneyev never stopped working actively in many authoritative music periodicals; he also wrote music for films. He returned to France, a 'home regained' of Russian emigration, in 1933 where he died in Cap d'Antibes near Nice in October 1st, 1968. Sabaneyev's music – almost inevitably though never too heavily influenced by Scriabin & other late Romantics, was, as a matter of fact, another, divergent, going further & beyond the conventional music conceptions even of those revolutionary times; technically much complex yet unusually brittle in it’s moods, innately bearing some weird ‘romantic’ kind of darkness. It obviously hasn’t struck a chord with his contemporaries, either in Russia or in the West, & has mostly laid in obscurity for many decades, with only some broader-minded &/or rara-avis-catcher performers (like, e.g., [a= Marc-André Hamelin]) trying it out once in a while. In 2012, three daring & already well-experienced musicians has recorded two essential Sabaneyev’s 1920’s piano works - treated with all due care & exactness, rendered with inspirational sincerity, & recorded with top-notch modern quality - in Munich’s BR Studios. Accordingly, a CD (‘Piano Trios’) was issued on GENUIN label which has caused quite a stir & won much acclaim among music connoisseurs’ circles. Three years later a double CD, ‘The Complete Works for Piano Vol. 1’ came from GENUIN, containing a dozen small piano pieces performed by [a= Michael Schäfer (5)], the pianist from the previous recording; it equally & deservedly garnered most positive reviews. Sabaneyev’s one-year elder brother, Boris Sabaneyev ([a= Борис Сабанеев]), who hasn’t survived the Russian Red Revolution, was also a musician: classical organist, organ composer & theorist, and pedagogue. On the 3-figure photo (among those linked to on this page), left to right, are: L. Sabaneyev; A. Scriabin; Tatiana Schloezer (Scriabin's Muse, as also his common-law wife). |

Search | Add | 3 | Ometra | Ometra is a Lugano-based music project offering alternative rock -grunge. Influences include Radiohead, Alice in Chains, and the whole grunge scene with atmospheric overtones in the style of Anathema. In 2017, driven by the desire to start again from the basics, founder Carlo Gervasini (My Stupid Dream, Parole Perse, Doomed Timeline Theory and Beansidhe) starts writing his own songs in the form of 'one man band'. In the recording session he personally takes care of all instruments and vocal parts, accompanied only by the voices of Claudio Lucchini and Giulia Schertler. The first release "Ometra" is in 2019: it gets visibility and a place in the compilation "Confederation Music" managed by Marco Kohler (RSI) with the song "Ahead." This good debut will push the guitarist to believe he can compose better music, with a real band. Thus, in 2020 the writing of new, more dynamic and emotional pieces begins. In 2021, made by a group consisting of Elia Heutschi (drums), Paride Casu (bass), Giulia Schertler and Anastasia Gautschi (vocals), as well as Gervasini on guitars, "We used to look at the stars," recorded and mixed by Stefano Scenini at Stairway Studio in Cimo, sees the light. The work gets further visibility than the previous release and with the track "Crossroads from my Past" OMETRA deservedly returns to feature in the selection of "Confederation Music" . "We used to look at the stars" is an album that helped the project leader accept and embrace the pain, to move forward.... Made in the hope that it will also intercept the feelings of those who have experienced severe suffering during their journey. Choices, the new Album, has been released on April 20th | |
