Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026

Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Cynge Cynge is a nu metal band originating from Lincoln, Nebraska US. Emerging from the local underground scene in the early 2000s, the band developed a reputation for an aggressive, abrasive sound characterized by high-energy performances and a raw, unpolished aesthetic usual of Midwestern DIY metal acts. The group circulated demo recordings during this period, including physical material dating to around 2002-2004, which showcased their “in-your-face” style blending elements of heavy metal and groove with a party-driven, chaotic edge. Their music reflects the regional live circuit ethos—loud, direct, and performance-focused rather than studio-refined. Cynge remained active within the Lincoln music community for years, appearing on local bills alongside other regional acts and performing at established venues such as The Bourbon Theatre and Sokol events in Omaha, which was tied to the city’s independent music scene. The band was also part of early showcases like Omaha Metalfest II in 2004 and later showcases like Lincoln Exposed, a festival highlighting the city’s diverse underground and independent artists.

Search Add 3 InChanto The InChanto's musical experience is therefore inspired by the presence of a particular land; and if the Tuscan musicians propose this journey, they well know that going along these areas means discovering a part of the soul that men little by little have left to things. Once more, there is the attempt of recovering literary and musical traditions from different times and cultures, from the Latin and Mediterranean to the Celtic, that in Tuscany have met during centuries: the one of InChanto would like to be the model journey of people recognizing in his own land the land of everybody. InChanto was born in the summer of 1993 with the intention of proposing a fusion between ancient and electronic sounds and instruments. Afterwards, feeling the need to go back to acoustic and essential resonances, the group introduces historical instruments as the hurdy-gurdy, the baroque flute, the dulcimer and the bodhràn, that have reduced the importance of electronic. In this context, very important are the recent lyrics in fifth and sixth century Italian, in Latin and French.

He won an Arthur Godfrey Talent Scouts program when he was eight years old. He was hailed at a young age as a child prodigy and appeared on radio and TV, playing with symphony orchestras. He was taught by Edward Weiss, the famed pupil of Busoni. He was called "rather self‐indulgent, emotional pianist, who likes sharp contrasts and much rubato" when he was a young player in 1964 but seven years later said he "has made significant progress, producing a mellow, quite lovely keyboard tone". He recorded for Columbia’s subsidiary Epic label. He issued a Gershwin album in 1959 but a car accident damaged his hands in the 1960's. He continued to play but in a diminished capacity.

Search Add 3 Quinton Blair Michael Quinton Blair Honest as a day spent on a tractor, and driven like the drifting Prairie snow. 2018 Manitoba Country Music Association Roots Artist of the Year, Quinton Blair is a road running, tale-spinning songwriter. Silky and smooth like a diesel engine, his beard glistening in the setting sun, its rodeo mud in his teeth and horses in his blood. Blair’s wide understanding of country music suits him perfectly to the task of working the stages with the all-stars of both roots and mainstream country music in Canada. He has shared stages with Del Barber, Tim Hus, Shred Kelly, The Bros Landreth, and the likes of George Canyon, Doc Walker, High Valley, Corb Lund, Terri Clark, Charlie Major, Restless Heart, Emerson Drive, and more. He has showcased and performed at the CCMA’s, Folk Alliance - Kansas City, Break Out West, Manitoba Arts Network, OSAC, Dauphin’s Country Fest, Festival du Voyageur, Canada Day at the Forks, and Chinook Rodeo Association Finals. Named Manitoba Country Music Association’s 2015, 2016 Roots Artist of the Year, and 2017 Male Artist of the year, was again named the MCMA 2018 Roots Artist of the Year. His blue collar approach to the music business has him pickin’ a guitar nearly every weekend, and has allowed him to play stages as far north as Nunavut, and Dawson City and as far south as Nashville, Tennessee, demonstrating his insatiable thirst for the stage. The authenticity of Blair shines through in the many formats in which he travels. Blair as a solo artist, relies on his guitar, witty stories, and keen ability to capture the crowd night after night. He is often joined by good friend Bill Western Jr (Nathan, Del Barber) on pedal steel, or his whole band of honky tonk All Stars. Through the summer months, Blair is most often seen moving his band back and forth across the prairies, in between hauling his horses to Ranch Rodeos in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Wrangling horses is in his blood, and has been a part of the Blair family for generations.

During the 1970's, "Ole Ivars" went through many lineup changes, culminating with the 1978 departure of (among others) [a1059377] (the "Ole" in "Ole Ivars"). Shortly thereafter, [a1059377] and other former members of Ole Ivars got together and formed Ole Ivars Veteranene (The Ole Ivars Veterans). The lineup has since then remained relatively unchanged. They released two albums under the "Ole Ivars Veteranene" name.
