Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025

Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Hardstyle Enforcement Agency H.E.A. stands for “Hardstyle Enforcement Agency“ As the name Hardstyle already reveals, this project concerns about a harder music style of the Techno genre. More precisely it is a mixture of the traditional Hardcore Techno, which has its origins in the Netherlands and Germany of the early 90's and Hardtrance / German-Trance, which was particularly often to be heard at parties in the late 90's. This project predominantly pursues the goal of creating hard tracks with melodic backgrounds. Technical and abstract song structures are followed by melodic and sometimes spherical pads. The music's only purpose is to supply people with maximum energy for them to drive each party to the absolute climax.

Search Add 2 Noussommes formed in 1986, originally the band was a four piece, with the addition of Grant Kirkhope in the summer of 1987 the bands direction leaned further toward a heavier, but more accessible sound. The band soon gained a strong following locally and started picking up airplay on local radio. Support slots with major bands soon followed as Noussommes name began to be better known with rock fans throughout the UK. What moved Noussommes up to the next level was the band being invited to open up for Ozzy Osbourne on his No More Tears UK tour, playing in front capacity crowds in sold out venues. This increased the bands profile hugely. It was around this time the band first recorded with producer Stephen Harris, a relationship which lasted the duration of the band’s history. Stephen had been working with Little Angels and had got to know Grant as he was also a member of the Big Bad Horns, the brass section of Little Angels, away from his guitar duties with Noussommes. Rise Up, Steal Your Fire and Still So Hungry were recorded at Slaughterhouse Studios in Driffield, Yorkshire. The band knew that in order to get their newly recorded music to where it needed to be, in the ears of the record labels, strong management representation was required. Only a few weeks after the Slaughterhouse session was completed Noussommes signed a management deal with Andy Farrow of Far North Music. The band then embarked on their first UK headline tour, receiving positive reviews from the UK rock press including a five-star review in Kerrang magazine. After the tour had finished, the band were asked to record a session for BBC Radio One’s Friday Rock Show, which was a coup for a band who had yet to ink a recording contract. Another successful 32 date UK tour was undertaken during April and May of 1990 which took the band to new towns and cities, but despite this none of the record companies courting the band would take the leap and offer a recording contract. Just a few weeks after the tour Brian and Gareth (drums and bass guitar) both elected to step away from the band, Noussommes were left looking to find a new rhythm section. Andy Greaves was recruited as the new bass player. He was from a band who had toured with Noussommes previously. Drummer Michael Lee (who also knew Grant from his time with Little Angels) became involved shortly after. Michael at the time was playing in The Cult, but had time away from his commitments with them, so came onboard for the recordings of No Absolution, Blinded and Backbone at KGS studios in Wakefield and the subsequent live shows that the band played that summer. Despite the blistering sound of the KGS session, and many complements on the bands ability to write and perform at the very top of their game both in the media and from record labels, the band again found themselves with no concrete offers on the table to release an album. With Michael returning to his commitments with The Cult the band found themselves with some very big boots to fill. After a couple of short-term incumbents behind the kit, Phil Moody joined the band, this was also the time the band reverted to a four piece again with Nick Dunne leaving. Later that year, the band went to London to record what turned out to be their final session at Chrysalis studios. The tracks Break Me Down, Death of Me and No Conscience showed a band not stagnating, but still evolving. It seemed the newfound popularity of Grunge was turning the heads of the record companies at this point in time toward a different direction to that which the band was heading, and the decision was taken by the band to split up in 1993. Band Members Paul Kettley – Vocals (all sessions) Grant Kirkhope – Guitars (all sessions) Nick Dunne – Guitars (Slaughterhouse & KGS sessions) Andy Greaves – Bass guitar (KGS and Chrysalis sessions) Gareth McKenzie – Bass guitar (Slaughterhouse session) Brian Wilson – Drums (Slaughterhouse session) Michael Lee -Drums (KGS session) Phil Moody – Drums (Chrysalis session)

Search Add 2 Rev Charles Miles Guitarist born in Meridian, Mississippi, the grandson of a pastor. He played guitar from an early age, leading to steady work in nightclubs around Meridian and an invitation to join an Ernest Tubb performance. The death of his daughter and near-death of his wife in an auto accident after a gig led him to "give his heart to God unreservedly" and start playing only Gospel music and to preach and pastor ("from honky tonk to pulpit" as described on the liner of his album). He lived in Jackson, MS, was pastor of Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church, and recorded in Jackson, Baton Rouge, LA, and in Memphis, TN.

Search Add 2 Atomar ASM Atomar ASM is a german artist who was significantly influenced by electronic music and the techno era of the 90s. His first contact with electronic music production was in the mid-90s, but until Y2K he was more into hobby DJing. But the possibilities of a DJ to change and influence the music in the mix were ultimately limited back then. And while commercial trance and hard trance continued to "deteriorate" around the turn of the millennium, Atomar ASM turned away from mixing and started producing his own trance and hard trance music. The first track released was "Hardtrance Lives Forever". Soon the home studio got upgraded. Most of the tracks were produced using a Kawai MP9500 stage piano and an Access Virus b synthesizer. A Jomox Xbase09 followed later. The creative heyday was in the years 2000-2003 where most of the tracks were produced in his spare time during his studies. Atomar ASM also maintained contacts to Australia with another hard trance artist called Etrozia (aka DJ Omran). This even resulted in some remixes of each other's tracks. Unfortunately, the last music project from 2004 could not be completed, as studies took precedence. In the following years, the artist unfortunately no longer found the time to produce music and therefore decided to sell his equipment in 2009. After all, an entire album (non-publicly released) was created in this way: "And the journey continues" ... without thinking at the time that the journey would actually continue - but more than a decade later! It was 2022 and it started with a Virus - again. One of the most iconic synthesizers in electronic music. And once again, the home studio had to be upgraded. In 2025 Atomar ASM decided to finally release some of his tracks publicly.

Search Add 2 Fonome Alfonso Ojeda On the musical scene since 2001, Seville based DJ and producer Fonome has not stopped making moves. With a number of machine heavy productions behind his belt and ever-growing presence behind the DJ booth, Fonome is quickly garnering support and interest from the scene with increasing focus shown for his productions and track selection. Nearly two decades behind the decks have allowed for ample time to develop a deep understanding in musical curation, while the ongoing growth and hustle has reaped plenty of benefits on and off the decks; whether it would be beat making in a studio or sharing the booth with Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola and Eduardo de la Calle. As a previous clerk behind Seville’s legendary Union Records store, he currently occupies a job at the port of Seville where the industrial environment shines influence on his recordings and promotes the merging of learnt history of the music scenes with day-to-day work mechanics and engineering of commercial shipping economy. Fonome’s productions often relay and contrast elements between the two and form a bass heavy, atmospheric and acidic synth laden grooves that may as well be as easily plaid at a port or a record store or any other space that may be as open to create sound as to take it in too.
