Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Fugato (2) | They have a reggae/funk sound with an occasional rock bass line and psychedelic guitar, and Steele’s girlfriend Tamara Gough sometimes guest vocals with her big diva voice. When playing Steele is always bare foot, Holmes bites his bottom lip and Stevenson’s cheeks get red on his straight face. Holmes and MacDonald have played together before the in bands Port Citizen and Supercar. Steele says he and Stevenson were fans of Port Citizen and Supercar as teenagers. “They were up and kickin’, and listening to music before we were born,” he jokes. “These guys are young pups, I’m an old fart,” 29-year-old Holmes said of Steele, 22, and Stevenson, 23. Steele and Stevenson played in the band Tumbleweed, and MacDougall played for the bands Eyes For Telescopes and The Tuesdays. MacDougall joined the group in August, although he is not on the CD and could not make it to the release due to family commitments. Holmes says MacDougall is an excellent percussionist and brings a new aspect to the band’s sound. “I bought my first set of drums off of Mike.” The band doesn’t really have any creative differences when writing music, says Holmes. “It all comes from Mark in the get-go and then we mold it.” Steele says the credit is not all his own. “I don’t come up with the drum beats,” he said. “Damn right you don’t,” laughs Holmes. The band’s name came about by chance. They were discussing names when Steele said something and Holmes asked, “Did you say Fugato?” “And I said, ‘Fugato what the hell,’” said Steele. Other names discussed for the band were Black Lung Boutique, and Hot Buttered Elvis. “I was pushing Hot Buttered Elvis pretty hard,” said Steele.

Search | Add | 3 | Pro-Death | PRO-DEATH started in 1994 playing all over Southern California at many underground shows. Through their own funds PRO-DEATH was able to record a self titled CD-R in late 2000 that was sold only at shows. After playing with Mortician at the Whisky A Go Go, PRO-DEATH was able to release a 3 inch CD-R entitled "Drowning in Discord". This album was comprised of mostly Black Ambient tracks and had two live songs from the sold out show with MORTICIAN. This album was also limited and sold only at shows. Through it all Pro-Death always managed to donate all their funds to support the stop of animal testing. PRO-DEATH has been crushing and destroying its audience since 1995 with harsh noise and visuals. With its hatred for humanity they Toured and played with many bands like CATTLE DECAPITATION, MORTICIAN, VADER, PIGFACE, BRUJERIA, ASESINO, IMMOLATION, UPHILLBATTLE, The BERZERKER,IMMOLATION, Strapping Young Lad, DEICIDE and lots of local bands..

Their reflections on the contrasts between the contemporary 'virtualised' world and the reality it is twice removed from give birth to inspired music, with profound, powerful lyrics, a much needed wake up call.

Search | Add | 3 | Star City Meltdown | Brad Dills - Vocals Lukas Patterson - Guitar, Vocals Chris Stewart - Guitar Cody Cupp - Bass Todd Vesey - Drums Johnson City, TN With their explosive stage show, their uncompromising confidence, and a sound described as "Journey meets Avenged Sevenfold”, this 5 piece rock act from Johnson City, TN has been winning over audiences from Mississippi to Michigan. Produced by former Creed bassist Brett Hestla (Dark New Day, Framing Hanley, Tantric), their debut album 'Stick in the Eye' (2009) was an impressive start to what is shaping up to be an energetic adventure into active rock history. The album and impending tour with Saliva gained the band a rabid underground fan base, and spurred independent sales beyond 2500 copies from live shows alone in the first 4 months of its release. After relentlessly touring the country, Star City Meltdown headed back to Florida in 2011, and back into Brett Hestla's studio to record their sophomore full length album. The album title changed from the original name, “Razorblades & Handgrenades”, to ‘Music=War’ after the band departed from their record label in mid-2012. ‘Music=War’ reflects on the constant battle the band faced just to get label support, a solid release date, and for the album to get to their fans in the form and fashion in which it was meant to be heard. Star City Meltdown decided to “soldier up”, after putting so much effort into a project that has gotten rave reviews from rock radio insiders, and they finally worked out an independent release date for ‘Music=War’, now set for Oct. 30, 2012. The first single,"Here's To Us!", is hitting rock radio nationwide, and constant touring is on the agenda for the remainder of the year and well into 2013. Star City Meltdown takes powerful, pop laced melodies and blends them with shredding guitars and bone thumping double bass drums, to form an active rock grenade of epic proportions. One listen to ‘Music=War’, and you’ll see that the band is poised for an all out assault on the active rock world!

Search | Add | 3 | Ansuman Roy | ANSUMAN ROY (1936-1990) Date of Birth – 19th August 1936, Jhargram, West Bengal, India Place of Work - Bengali Classical and Folk and Contemporary Music Family: Parents – Late Rampada Roy, Late Bibhabati Roy Spouse – Late Kamala Roy Children – Bhaskar Roy, Antar Roy, Meita Guha Roy Education – Kumud Kumari Institute, Jhargram Raj College Ansuman Roy was considered as one of the most eminent Bengali versatile singer who had enriched Bengali Music with a huge number of varieties. Though most people remember him as a Legendary folk artist but his devotional songs, Nazrulgeeti and Modern Bengali songs (Swarna-Juger Gaan, Songs of the Bengali Golden Period) were equally popular and was marked as all-time hit music. Early Life Ansuman Roy was born and brought up in Jhargram, now a district of West Bengal on 19th August 1936. As a kid, he had a huge interest in Bengali music. His music training was started by one of his uncle (father’s friend) in his locality. Though music reign in his gene, at that moment there was no one in his family who was directly associated with music. Later on, Pandit Gyan Prakash Ghosh trained him on Bengali Light music. In his early life, he was a Radio- Artist and was frequently audible at All India Radio (AIR India, Akashvani). During this period he was involved in various research work on Bengali folk, especially the folk music of Radh-Bengal (South West Bengal). He played the pioneering role to introduce the flavour of Jhumur-Vadu-Tusu to the urbanized world. His kin interest in instrument was also well known. The Santhali instrument Madal was a regular component of his music composition. The first music record of Ansuman Roy was recorded in 1971 from Hindusthan Record. Music Career In his Music Career he had worked with many legendary figures of Bengal, such as- Prabir Majumder, Sudhin Dasgupta, Gauri Prasanna Majumder, Aloknath Dey, Pulak Bandyopadhyay, Shibdas Bandopaddhyay, Hemanta Mukherjee, Manna De, Manabendra Mukherjee, Shyamal Mitra, Sandhya Mukherjee, Nirmala Mishra Banashree Sengupta, Arati Mukherjee and many other contemporary artists. His tonal quality, the pitch of voice, clarity in music makes him different from others and people considered him as a genius in Bengal folk music. His genre of music is highly adopted by young musicians and is used by many banners even today. But the only grievance in this pretext is that they forget to acknowledge the name of this legendary composer. One of his most remarkable work on music and also on the socio-political aspect for the War of Independence of Bangladesh (Muktiyuddha of Bangladesh) was “Shono Ekti Mujibarer Theke”. This song is considered as one of the main patriotic songs in Bangladesh and is sang after the National Anthem - “Amar Sonar Bangla Ami Tomai Valobasi”. The lyrics of this song was written by Gauri Prasanna Majumder, and Ansuman Roy composed the music and sang this song. He was felicitated with Bangabandhu Gold Medal in 1975 for this historical song. In 1978 he won the Best Male Singer Award for the film Charmurti for the song “Ghochang Fu, Khabo Toke”. Search | Add | 3 | Lindley Band | 14a Holly Bank Road, Lindley, Huddersfield HD3 3JE T: 07792722190 Email: bookings@thelindleyband.net With the advent of keys and valves on brass instruments in the late 1820’s all brass ensembles became viable. Lindley must have been one of the first all-brass bands to be formed in Great Britain. The first evidence of the band is in the late 1830s when it was recorded in the Parish register that a group of players from the village of Lindley organised to play at a Sunday service at St Stephen’s. Lindley Brass Band is also recorded in the minutes of the Lindley Zion School being engaged to perform for their Whitsuntide parade in 1835 and so must have been in existence some time previously in order to achieve a suitable standard to be able to perform in public. The school minutes record that a fee was paid plus beer for band members. One can only speculate what may have happened as the following year it was minuted that milk was to be provided for the younger members of the band!

Search | Add | 3 | SilverSpirit | Tommy Bailey-Graham & Daniel Bailey-Graham | SilverSpirit are a pair of musicians who specialise in synthesised electronic music in various different styles, though generally centred around the dance and pop genres. Dan Bailey-Graham started writing music on a small Casio keyboard at the age of eight and in 1997, his father bought him a Korg Trinity Pro synthesiser for achieving good GCSE grades. This synthesiser is still in use by SilverSpirit today, along with an Alesis Micron which Dan bought and an electro-acoustic guitar that Tommy bought in order to provide a greater depth and variety to the group's sound. Tommy Bailey-Graham writes lyrics and provides vocals for SilverSpirit's original tracks while also supplying conceptual support for music production. Tommy's lyrics are raw and organic, often focusing on social issues and relationships, a poignant juxtaposition against the entirely digital and synthetic musical environment in which they are presented. |
