Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Curse Of Samsara | CURSE of SAMSARA was an epic metal outfit from Philadelphia, PA active from 2009-2015. Drawing influence from thrash, death, black and power metal, Samsara takes the listener on a journey through the bowels of consciousness, expressing in it’s dark form the legend of life as we know it, that which we've been fooled to believe. Twisting harmonic patterns intertwined with chunky speed riffage, rhythmic intensity, and melodic interludes forge the phenomenon of this heavy metal band.

Search | Add | 3 | Greenmantle | Greenmantle was formed in September 1971, initially as a three piece with Ian Campbell, Billy Campbell & Jack Law. They brought together their background in rock music, blues and folk to create a distinctive blend. Whilst Ian left in 1972, due to ill health, Billy and Jack carried on as a two piece carving out a reputation as singer/songwriters across Britain. In 1973 they signed a management deal with Johnnie Morris, who secured a recording contract with Philips records. By 1974 they released a single, a Rupert Holmes song called ‘Terminal’. However, Billy and Jack felt the production didn't represent their sound. After recruiting two additional members, Allan Stevenson on drums, and Peter McBrearty on guitar, they felt more satisfied with the new sound. The new line prompted other changes as they moved away from folk clubs and concert halls into the rock-pub and club circuit. Allan was replaced by John Houston in 1975 on drums, and the band carried on writing, recording and playing. A year later, Jack decided to leave, having become disillusioned with the music business, and was replaced by Mick Tausney. Greenmantle continued for a further six months before breaking up. Reformed early 2009, releasing a couple of albums on the Hub Records label.

In one area of Eugene, Oregon, the streets are named after presidents, but on the streets where they would have had to duplicate a president's name, they've named the street something else. One of those streets is Blair Blvd., which stretches from the hearing center to the trainyards, and courses directly through tweekertown, also known as Whiteaker. On this street, Eugene's finest toothless hookers roam the streets at night, and young people who have no idea what they got themselves into jitter, jaw and jabber til sunrise. |

Search | Add | 3 | Slithey Tove | The band was germinated when Simon Whaley (guitar) met Simon Burgin (guitar) in an Essex college in 1989 and went to work on Whaley’s backlog of demos, musical whiffs and nick nacks. They made ‘The Si’s tape’ which became an inspiration and quickly a band materialised via college friends Aaron Liddard (sax) and Toby Baron (drums) to develop the tunes. The band was completed with Conrad Winchester (bass) and occasional Steve Baker (guitar/perc) from psyche band Triptych. Together they started to gig, embellishing the tunes with extended jams and never playing a song the same way twice. They played double bills with The Green Ray around East London, for whom Simon was drummer with his brother Ken Whaley on bass. Burgin and Liddard were also Green Ray players later on. Slithey Tove quickly became a draw for their fun psychedelic gigs with odd timings and mid-song genre shifts. The band’s on-stage joy was infectious. They were soon playing the mushroom parties and pub skittle alleys of Devon, to the student digs of Manchester, as well as demos and squats, thriving in the heady days of the free-festival scene in the early 90s. They also played Glastonbury, Norfolk Festival of the Sun and Cambridge’s Strawberry Fair. The Tove family grew with the addition of Doug Southall (vox) from ‘Blitzed’ and David Reed (percussion) to become a tighter and more versatile band, weaving humour with highly practiced syncopations akin to Zappa, with the spirit of Gong and the driving riffs of Zeppelin. At other times they could be gentle and pastorale. Their gigs became an ironic pastiche; a smorgasbord of styles that offered unpredictability and musical surprises. Some of their range is demonstrated on this album. An exciting support act, Slithey Tove played with The Crazy World of Arthur Brown and Doctor and the Medics and were occasionally joined by Ozric Tentacles’ flautist Jumping John. As the decade wore on and the free festival scene became prohibited, the band slowly disintegrated with little to show except a handful of live recordings. Conrad moved away and formed Whip the Minister, Toby became the drummer for Ray Davis. Aaron moved to Manchester to become a renowned jazz saxophonist and later joined Amy Winehouse’s band at her peak. Simons Whaley and Burgin continued with The Green Ray, where Whaley still resides, now on guitar. After Simon Burgin’s sad passing in 2000 the band came together to support The Green Ray in Walthamstow once again, joined on bass by Jonty Bankes whilst on sabbatical from The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, and the magic was reignited. They continued to play gigs here and there for a while but commitments, babies and emigration got in the way, so Aaron suggested recording an album instead. Several years of studious tinkering later and we are proud to share the results. So here it is folks! Slithey Tove’s Big Top of musical acts.

Search | Add | 3 | Telairon | Ben Wachter | Ben Wachter,A.K.A Telairon, was born December 24, 1975, in the small town of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. Though he grew up listening to 80s synth pop, among many other genres of music, what intrigued and caught Ben’s attention most was music which said something, music which was complex, intriguing, lush. By the early nineties he started listening to artists like Age of Love, Cygnus X and Push, all of which turned him on to the (then) new world of electronic music. Ben started creating his own music on his PC around 2003. It has become his full time hobby and he has been making tracks and mixes ever since. He has worked at an independent university radio station and has played as DJ for eleven years, working mainly within the electronic genre. As a DJ and producer, Telairon works within various sub-genres of electronic music, trance being his main focus. |
