Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Bliss Repair | Bliss Repair consists of St. Paul's [a=Eric Rea] and Omaha's [a=Stephen Sheehan]. The two first met while working at Spaghetti Works in Omaha in 1983 -- Sheehan as a waiter and Rea as a chef. They became musically bound thanks to a shared 3-year stint behind the counter at Homer's Records. Sheehan went on to form Omaha's first [a=Durutti Column] / [a=Throbbing Gristle] / [a=The Left Banke] - inspired rock band called [a=Digital Sex], which enjoyed its share of notoriety both locally and in, of all places, France. Rea also played in a few local bands, none of which he's willing to name (though they included The Decades), before moving to the Minneapolis / St. Paul area in '93. Bliss Repair music is anti-techno. With its lumbering beats, hippy-man bass lines, fuzzy-distorto guitars and synths, and myriad of '60s-era cult-reference samples, loops and sound effects, the duo's debut CD, Lo-fi Enlightenment, is nothing less than a stoner rock answer to Moby. And I haven't even touched on the blotter-acid-inspired spoken-word lyrics yet. Most listeners, especially those of the TRL / commercial radio variety, will find the whole thing downright weird and slightly unseemly.

Search | Add | 4 | Nicholas J. Michalak | I, Nicholas J. Michalak, created RavensFilm Productions in Spring, 2004 as a serious statement that filmmaking would be my life's passion. What began as a focus on comedic shorts eventually veered toward more dramatic and noir style narratives born from my evolving fandom of the work of Chicago born filmmaker Michael Mann. Thief was the first, but it was Collateral that solidified my deadset interest in the crime genre. Hitmen, criminals, syndicates, lawmen, private detectives, and vigilantes have all become common subject matter since then. Other influences upon my work include John Carpenter, Ridley Scott, Christopher Nolan, Robert Rodriguez, Quentin Tarantino, Clive Barker, Russell Mulcahy, and Kevin Smith, just to name a few. These influences have driven my creativity far, but the desire is always there to branch out into other genres. RavensFilm Productions is aided by an array of highly talented actors and filmmakers across Chicagoland. My closest and most trusted collaborator is Cinematographer, Videographer, and SteadiCam Operator Eric Woltman of Voltage Visual Studios and Steadi Zephyr. His expertise, technical knowledge, and artistic eye have benefitted my endeavors greatly, and the favor has been returned many times. Beyond a great collaborator, he is a valued friend, and that is the relationship I like to spark with everyone I work with. RavensFilm Productions also has a long standing and ever expanding collaboration with Chicago heavy metal band HEMI. Numerous music videos have been produced for the band by me, I have designed their entire official web site, shoot nearly all of their live shows since April of 2011, and in 2012, I recorded, produced, edited, and mixed their first live album, The Chosen Ones: Live in the Fire, along with designing all of the interior artwork for the CD release. The friendship with the band has officially made me the fifth member of the band. As of 2011, RavensFilm Productions is a registered Service Mark in the State of Illinois. That only further legitimizes RavensFilm Productions in my eyes, and the expansion to offering a variety of video production and web design services aimed at the burgeoning artist has broken the possibilites wide open for what RavensFilm Productions can grow into becoming. The future is starting to develop more and more with the release of Dead Of Night on Special Edition DVD, the impending completion of The Fixer on the horizon, and several promising scripts in development. The year of 2013 brought high definition finally into the grasp of RavensFilm Productions, and several new YouTube video series were launched including Forever Cinematic video movie reviews and the Leftover Junk series where I feature abandoned, alternate, or unreleased footage from my projects that need a little context. The future holds many exciting opportunities and possibilites for everything I hope to do with RavensFilm Productions.

Search | Add | 4 | Tico Zamora | American guitarist, songwriter and producer, born in 1967 in Washington D.C., USA. Real name: Torcuato Zamora. Tico Zamora began playing guitar at an early age. Starting at the age of eight, he received daily guitar lessons from his father, Torcuato Zamora, Sr., an accomplished flamenco guitarist from Almeria, Spain. After five years of apprenticeship with his father, at age 13, the young Zamora bought his first electric guitar, a Fender Stratocaster. Zamora was greatly influenced by his older sister's record collection, which included bands such as Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles and Aerosmith. Through countless hours of playing along with and emulating what he heard on those seminal records, he discovered his passion for the electric guitar. Too young to play in nightclubs, his first performance was at a Battle of the Bands in a local Washington, D.C. area game room where he won the competition. Shortly thereafter, he was asked to join H.R. ("Human Rights"), fronted by Paul Hudson, lead singer of the influential hardcore punk band Bad Brains. This was 16-year-old Zamora's introduction to the world of punk rock. After touring and recording in the studio with H.R. for two years, H.R.'s former band, Bad Brains, went back into the studio with its original band members and released a new album, I Against I. In 1987, Zamora moved to Athens, Georgia to start a new band, Gypsy Cab Company, and immerse himself in the thriving alternative rock and new wave music scene. Two years later, Maureen Tucker, drummer for The Velvet Underground, asked Zamora to play guitar with her in the opening act for Lou Reed on his New York tour across the U.S. and Canada. In 1990, Zamora played guitar in Mo Tucker's band and toured throughout many cities in Europe, including Berlin, Germany, where Zamora lived from 1991 to 2009. In Berlin, Zamora set up a recording studio and played with and produced many bands, some of which were part of the exploding electropop/electroclash music scene occurring in Berlin in the early 2000s.

Search | Add | 4 | Da Enemy | Ralf Rögner | Ralf's musical works began in May 1989 when he produced the first songs using an Commodore Amiga system. The early years mainly were the period of time were he tried a lot of different styles including techno, breakbeat and experimental stuff none of which ever has been released to public. In 1992 he acquired a set of Technics SL-1210 turntables which gave him the chance to get inspiration by the pioneers of oldschool hardcore. Following these influences he started to focus on these styles while he still produced techno and trance tracks, also in cooperation with other artists beside. The second creative phase began in 1994 when Vernon D. Hill was his working-mate at a musicstore. Influences from the early 1980's funk and soul era found their place in his music. In the later time he found back to his roots and dedicated his creativity mainly to drum & bass. In 2008 he released the first vinyl of his drum & bass project sn00ze on Enemy Movement, a label he started on January, 1st of 2006. |

The second set of recordings were recorded at a 5+ day marvelous musical marathon with many singers and guests staying at the home of Sandy and Caroline Paton, a remodeled barn in Sharon, Connecticut. Music was made together for a week or so and recorded. These were not exactly well-controlled recording situations. Microphones were set up, levels set and buttons were pushed before the engineer took up his pace in the chorus. There would often be experimenting with harmonies on a new song while scrubbing pots and pans during food breaks. Members reformed in somewhat smaller gatherings for further recordings: [a=Sharon Mountain Harmony]: [r=9316994] Twos On a Night Like This: A Christmas Legacy For All the Good People, A Golden Ring Reunion.

Search | Add | 4 | SeezNation | Sizwe Jabulani Miya | SeezNation | Sizwe Jabulani Miya | born 1996, April 02 started out as a student who did public speaking, poetry, sketching, dance, and debate at school (around Alexandra Township), he lived with his Grandmother. His passion for poetry and debating, with the assistance of his uncles who listened to Rap music ignited his love for the art-form. That’s when SeezNation came to be! He used to watch other battle rappers doing ciphers at school, and that assisted him in perfecting his freestyle. A “battle call out” with a school mate who was considered the “illest MC” (Prodigy) at the time made SeezNation take writing seriously. The would later form a group known as “FBI” performing in school shows and hosting their own ciphers. They shared the same passion and started writing songs using ”Beats” from Rappers like Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Bishop Lamont amongst others. SeezNation started creating his own beats and got better as time went on. He would also book studio time to record his music. He relocated to Soweto in 2014 (White City Jabavu) to stay with his great grandmother, which affected the group (FBI) due to distance, during this time SeezNation would meet and collaborate with other artists/producers and later decided to release his music under his own record label Indygo Entertainment. His debut EP: My Moment features producer “39Thirty” and rapper “O2“. The EP was released on 1st September 2019, with more to follow. |

Search | Add | 4 | Ophir Ilzetzki | Ophir Ilzetzki | Ophir Ilzetzki (*1978) is a classically trained composer of experimental music living in Tel Aviv, Israel. He holds a doctorate in music from the Southampton University, where he studied under Michael Finnissy, as well as an MMus from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, and a BA from the Koninklijk Conservatorium – both in composition. Ilzetzki's music explores various forces through instrumental, electronic, computer, performance, task and conceptual scores, where his works often research the intersection between through-composed and improvised pieces. Ilzetzki’s ongoing compositional goal is to strip forms to their bare essentials whilst still maintaining their identity. In recent years Ilzetzki has been applying games to musical structures, as well as focusing on alternative avenues for scoring music - an activity often leading to the meeting of music with dramaturgy. Ophir’s music is regularly performed in Israel and abroad, and has been featured in numerous international festivals, such as: Tectonics, MATA, Norwich and Norfolk Festival, ACL Asian Music Festival, ISCM World Music Days, City of London Festival, Israel Festival, and more. His works have been published by: Open Source, Stenton Press, Classwar Karaoke, Surrism Phonoethics, False IND, Babelscores, Oryan & Ressling. |

In 1975, Daniel Pons leaves the band, replaced by Patrick Schmitt on bass guitar.Sealsia becomes a semi-acoustic band, with hovering sounds interpreting his own compositions (Sealsia is an imaginary and magical kingdom populated by elves, fairies and gnomes, in which take place the tales written by three friends). In 1983, Sealsia merged with another arlesian band: Nef, and became Wladimir Sealsianeff (Richard Lorenzi: electric guitar, Vincent Tronc Chérézy: keyboards, Daniel Florès: drums, Guy Chanut and Yves Jourdanet). In 1989, the formation became acoustic again, sometimes as a trio, sometimes as a quartet, with the return of Daniel Pons, and an additional voice. In 2014, after 40 years on stage, Yves Jourdanet and Guy Chanut perform as a duo, revisiting the sixties with a fully acoustic energy, two voices and two guitars that cross the 'Woodstock Generation' from Dylan to Led Zeppelin, passing by the Stones, Beatles, Kinks, Neil Young, Simon and Garfunkel, Cat Stevens and many others. Yves Jourdanet is also singer, guitarist from the tribute bands Harvest (tributing Neil Young) and Sticky Fingers (tributing Rolling Stones). |

Search | Add | 4 | Ansuman Roy | ANSUMAN ROY (1936-1990) Date of Birth – 19th August 1936, Jhargram, West Bengal, India Place of Work - Bengali Classical and Folk and Contemporary Music Family: Parents – Late Rampada Roy, Late Bibhabati Roy Spouse – Late Kamala Roy Children – Bhaskar Roy, Antar Roy, Meita Guha Roy Education – Kumud Kumari Institute, Jhargram Raj College Ansuman Roy was considered as one of the most eminent Bengali versatile singer who had enriched Bengali Music with a huge number of varieties. Though most people remember him as a Legendary folk artist but his devotional songs, Nazrulgeeti and Modern Bengali songs (Swarna-Juger Gaan, Songs of the Bengali Golden Period) were equally popular and was marked as all-time hit music. Early Life Ansuman Roy was born and brought up in Jhargram, now a district of West Bengal on 19th August 1936. As a kid, he had a huge interest in Bengali music. His music training was started by one of his uncle (father’s friend) in his locality. Though music reign in his gene, at that moment there was no one in his family who was directly associated with music. Later on, Pandit Gyan Prakash Ghosh trained him on Bengali Light music. In his early life, he was a Radio- Artist and was frequently audible at All India Radio (AIR India, Akashvani). During this period he was involved in various research work on Bengali folk, especially the folk music of Radh-Bengal (South West Bengal). He played the pioneering role to introduce the flavour of Jhumur-Vadu-Tusu to the urbanized world. His kin interest in instrument was also well known. The Santhali instrument Madal was a regular component of his music composition. The first music record of Ansuman Roy was recorded in 1971 from Hindusthan Record. Music Career In his Music Career he had worked with many legendary figures of Bengal, such as- Prabir Majumder, Sudhin Dasgupta, Gauri Prasanna Majumder, Aloknath Dey, Pulak Bandyopadhyay, Shibdas Bandopaddhyay, Hemanta Mukherjee, Manna De, Manabendra Mukherjee, Shyamal Mitra, Sandhya Mukherjee, Nirmala Mishra Banashree Sengupta, Arati Mukherjee and many other contemporary artists. His tonal quality, the pitch of voice, clarity in music makes him different from others and people considered him as a genius in Bengal folk music. His genre of music is highly adopted by young musicians and is used by many banners even today. But the only grievance in this pretext is that they forget to acknowledge the name of this legendary composer. One of his most remarkable work on music and also on the socio-political aspect for the War of Independence of Bangladesh (Muktiyuddha of Bangladesh) was “Shono Ekti Mujibarer Theke”. This song is considered as one of the main patriotic songs in Bangladesh and is sang after the National Anthem - “Amar Sonar Bangla Ami Tomai Valobasi”. The lyrics of this song was written by Gauri Prasanna Majumder, and Ansuman Roy composed the music and sang this song. He was felicitated with Bangabandhu Gold Medal in 1975 for this historical song. In 1978 he won the Best Male Singer Award for the film Charmurti for the song “Ghochang Fu, Khabo Toke”. Search | Add | 4 | Ādolfs Kaktiņš | Latvian opera singer (baritone) (born July 26, 1885 in Ērberģe, Latvia [then Russian Empire] — died July 25, 1965 In San Jose, CA, United States). Kaktiņš worked as an apprentice for several craftsmen and trained as an accountant before he began his stage career. In 1902, he had his theatrical debut in the theater of the abstinence society "Auseklis" in whose choir he and brother Robert were singing. Between 1908 and 1913, while playing increasingly more important dramatic roles at a variety of theaters, he took singing lessons. His first operatic role, in 1910, was the Prince in [a=Konradin Kreutzer]'s "Das Nachtlager in Granada". In 1912, he won a three-year contract with the Nuremberg State Theater, where he sang in Wagner's "Ring des Nibelungen," Verdi's "Troubadour" and others in the 1913-1914 season. The start of World War 1, however, forced him to return first to Riga, and then, when the front came closer, to flee to St. Petersburg. Between 1915 and 1918, he performed in various Russian cities in front of Latvian refugee audiences. Having returned to Riga in 1918, Kaktiņš began working at the Latvian Opera (from 1919, the Soviet Latvian Opera). He performed the title roles in Wagner's "Flying Dutchman", Verdi's "Rigoletto", Mozart's "Don Giovanni," Tchaikovsky's "Eugen Onegin" and many others, including operas by a series of Latvian composers. From 1925, intrigues forced Kaktiņš to go abroad for some time. During this time he performed at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo and at the Théâtre National de l'Opéra in Paris. In 1934, he acted the role of Maigas' father in the first Latvian sound feature film "Son of the People" (director H. Ballašs). During the German occupation from 1941-1944, Kaktiņš continued to sing at the Riga Opera and give numerous concerts elsewhere. In September 1944, he followed the retreating German armies to Germany. He spent the next years performing to Latvian refugee communities in Germany. In July 1949, he emigrated to the United States. There he continued to perform in concerts and at theatrical performances organized by Latvian emigrants in the U.S. and Canada. He made his living, however, by working for a number of companies before he finally turned to chicken farming. Starting around 1910, Kaktiņš recorded both operatic arias and Latvian folk songs for numerous labels.

Search | Add | 4 | Carolina Fasulo | Carolina María Fasulo Kemper | Carola was an exceptional singer, she gave life to each song she performed, vocalizing both strong and subtle songs equally well. She told [a1227150] her story in a 1996 interview: “I always sang, since I was little. The first thing I did was study Spanish dances, play the castanets and hit the shoes while dancing. I loved rock n´roll, which at that time was a half forbidden thing. " Then Carola discovered what it was to compose songs "in a rocker sense", in her own words. “The two composers that influenced me the most were [a1263448] and [a1006851]. Precisely, everything I did in Damas Negras has to do with that poetics. And is that Carola was not improvised, in addition to composing beautiful lyrics, had a great formal musical training and knew how to play the guitar. He also had the possibility of working side by side with an extremely talented musician like [a1678587], who officiated as an arranger, companion and musical director. In 1973, through the Harvest label, Carola published a single with the songs "The Night Journey" and "Eva estirpe terrena" accompanied by [a945590]. That same year he recorded in the Phonalex studios what would be his only solo album: Damas Negras. Published through the Talent label, which was currently directed by [a516809]. Also, the album featured the participation of various musicians such as [a1539219], [a1750869], [a6170712], [a2298016], [a1006850], among others. |
