Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Oh, Oh, Ecstasy | Peter Carlovich | Oh, Oh, Ecstasy is the doing of New York/Jersey native Peter Carlovich, a multi-instrumentalist who is responsible for most of the sounds if not all heard on the recordings. Musically untrained in guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, vocals, and glockenspiel, Peter also records all the music himself either in his parents garage in New Jersey or various spots throughout New York State. His sound over the past 2 years of activity has already evolved one, twice, thirds, to the point where the sound can only be described as genres bleeding into each other to the point of contamination. Earlier sounds were modeled after a “surf rock” sound, until the incorporation of punk influences quickly gave OOX its reputation for sudden genre hopping, especially after the sudden incorporation of experimental and electronic arrangements. The line up has changed significantly over the years, first starting out as a three piece, then growing into a four person group effort, until that line up inevitably dissolved, leaving Peter to take total control to force the most authentic representation of the music in his head. Now, the live band serves as a revolving door for Peter to work with different line ups almost every show. The sound of the live band varies but never disappoints. Peter’s recordings have been surfacing for years before under different names like Shoes Off Rule, or CandyFlips (w/ Chris Elmer), until finally sticking with the my bloody valentine inspired name Oh, Oh, Ecstasy. The first release an EP titled “Lo Fi Goodness” was an extremely distorted and confused effort that received some minor “internet buzz”. Only a few months after another EP was released titled “Vista Cruiser.” The EP’s more refurbished (but still “low fi”) sound and a wider spectrum of sounds led to critial acclaim including spots on two websites “best eps of 2011” lists. 2012 was slower for Peter in public activity. Now working with a new “fixed” line up, the band managed to release two 3 song EPs/singles. The inactivity from playing live also left Peter to record two full length albums: “Murder Tape” which was released on March 12th, 2013, and an upcoming EP/LP duo. |

Search | Add | 2 | Samuel Gelev | Samuil Gelev | Bulgaria: solo guitar - Samuil Gelev - a modern troubadour Samuel's music is freedom! It forms a strong contrast to the backdrop of numerous rock musicians with a rough sound. His music is very lyrical, very intimate. When you hear it, you feel life with its whole being, and the meaning of existence comes from itself as deeply guarded knowledge. And he is in the little things that make us really happy, in the sense of freedom and closeness to the magic of nature that we touch when we dream and create. And little by little the whole city sounded on his guitar, and the music seemed lost inland. I recently met Samuel again and decided that this magic should be shared with more people. Now I'll meet you with him - to tell more about his music. How did the guitar get into your life? |

Search | Add | 2 | Gang Is Alles | It is the autumn of 1993, one of the Ameland village festivals is in full swing. And sometimes you don't need much more than that, a beer and a chat in a marquee, to come up with the best ideas. For example, the idea of starting a new band. The plans that were carefully drawn up in that autumn still need some time to mature, but in 1994 Taryadi Boelens and Daniël Metz founded 'Gang is Alles'. The Amelander band also consists of Martijn Boelens and Heru Metz. The fast repertoire with many own songs, the sounds from an old, dusty accordion by Daniël and the high party level mean that the link with the music of Rowwen Hèze is quickly established. It brings the boys to stages in various halls, tents and bars. First on the island, but not much later, performances ashore are increasingly the rule rather than the exception. The popularity of Rowwen Hèze rises to great heights and Gang is Alles is regularly impresses the band at concerts, because not much later they are asked to play support act for the Limburgers. It will be a great success, resulting in even more performances and special requests. In this way they also end up in the support act for Jovink and the Voederbietels. After seven years full of highlights, including their own album, Martijn and Heru decide to leave the band. Their successors are Gerjan den Hartogh and William Beijaard. They are rapidly being prepared (because corridor is everything) for big performances. With the arrival of the new band members, the repertoire also gets a small metamorphosis. The Rowwen Hèze style is complemented by other genres. The result: more songs, more variety, but still performed in a unique way. The success continues unabated and the agenda of Gang is Alles remains busy. In the meantime, training courses are completed, new jobs are taken and sometimes even relocations to the mainland. The individual agendas are increasingly difficult to combine with those of the band and in 2008 it is decided to stop. Daniël, a stage animal pur sang, continues to perform together with William. From Hollum to Haarlem and from Buren to Broeksterwoude, the two crowds know how to sing along and celebrate. The accordion still plays an important role, now there is a whole arsenal in the cupboard. The only thing missing all these years is an official band name. Gang is Alles Because the statement 'Gang is Alles' still fits perfectly with the energetic performances full of sing-alongs and danceable songs, Daniël decides, with the approval of the former band members, to restore the old name in 2016. The composition may have changed, but Gang is Alles still provides one big party. And that will never change. | |
