Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 6 | The Exploding Meet | The exploding meet was formed in Fredericton, New Brunswick in the autumn of 1983 as a songwriting workshop and experimental recording project. Throughout subsequent years the loose collective vastly improved production techniques and expanded early lyrical and compositional ideas. Once described as "Surrealist-Ethno-Underworld-Fusion", the Exploding Meet led by composer Mark Carmody, were equipped with standard rock instrumentation but with modified tuning and a broad palate of percussion voices which opened up a somewhat unique and mesmerizing sonic range. Rhythms and harmonic structures reflect the group’s interest in the exotic soaring dance modes of Psychedelic Rock, Jazz and Ju Ju Music. The power and freedom of Coltrane and Coleman mix with the meditative pulses of afro-centric music, Middle Eastern modes and the always present, expansive, influential body of accurately referenced material. Environmental sights and sounds from the weathered cities and diverse rural landscapes of Eastern Canada offer the greatest contribution. This atmosphere furnishes a dreamscape from which the whole identity of the music evolves. On July 13th, 1985, the exploding meet performed "Inaugural Address" @ Memorial Hall on the U.N.B. campus and thus embarked on a long journey that always focused on developing live performance potential. The intention always being to discover ways of expressing thoughts and feelings in a musical language tapped at its source. Performances over the next few years included "the Pineapple Analogy", "Slugfest ' 86", "Scream", Wolverine", "Lola Palooza ' 88", "Bard Mongrel", "Gatineau Rebellion", "Circus Of Disharmony" and many others. The collective performed many shows and released a number of albums in various formats over the course of several decades which garnered global praise from the underground and great support from Canadian community based radio. The exploding Meet performed primarily in Fredericton although a number of shows took place in Ontario and Quebec. The collective performed a number of times in their home base at "First Night", "Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival" and also at the first ever "Maritime Independent Music Festival". The exploding meet also had a “pop” side as well, which manifested itself within the division known as Decade of Dreams. Under this banner several vinyl LP’s and CDs were also released and were generally well received once again by the aforementioned recipients of recorded material. Mark Carmody also saw the release of what is truly a magical vinyl only LP which provided the soundtrack to NFB film called “Tuesday Wednesday” released under his own name. Those involved in the exploding meet collective collided through the mutually felt isolation of their existence with a desire to expand the mind. On retrospect, this appears to have been coupled with a born internal need to self discover through the channeling of music and art. Pretty much everyone to this day practices their craft in many forms and we all have extremely fond memories of our times together as “the meet”, touching the universe as one single entity whenever we played. Enjoy this experience and always remember to look for the flare! | |
| Search | Add | 6 | Hans Priem-Bengrath | Hans Priem-Bergrath | German violinist and conductor, born 9 April 1925. His name is given on many releases as ‘Priem-Bengrath’, but the more idiomatic-looking ‘Priem-Bergrath’ gets more results on Google… His musical training took place at the Conservatory Gregoriushaus in Aachen. His violin teacher was Max Pfeiffer. Hans Priem-Bergrath studied under Artur Rother, Herbert Ahlendorf, and Wilhelm Pitz, and later worked with Sir John Barbirolli, Franco Ferrara, and Herbert von Karajan. At 20 he was in 1945, the first violinist of the Municipal Orchestra in Aachen. In 1948 he was engaged as concertmaster at the Municipal Theatre in Rheydt. From 1950 to 1980 he was deputy principal violist with the [a260744] (Berlin Philharmonic). In the meantime, he made his debut as a conductor in 1967. He conducted recordings and performances with the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Orquesta Sinfonica Venezuela and the Mexican Orquesta Filarmónica de la UNAM. |

From the liner notes of the record 1961 recorded at the festival: "At Whitsun, jazz lovers from all parts of Germany, and even from the large regions behind the Iron Curtain met in Berlin. They were there to see and hear jazz on stage, its different musical ways of expressions, and its various relations to other forms of art. This festival was marked by two highlights: first, the genius of Thelonious Monk spreading dramatic tension, as usual, and the performance of the European All Stars presented by Joachim-Ernst Berendt. -- Thirteen musicians came together, from twelve countries -- each country sending its leading musician, says Berendt. ..."

| Search | Add | 6 | The Rhymney Silurian Male Choir | The Rhymney Silurian Male Choir was formed in 1951 and swiftly established a reputation for the quality of its performance and variety of its repertoire. The desire to embrace musical innovation has been its trademark throughout its history. There have been three main areas of development for the Choir:- competition, concert and international friendship and exchanges. During the almost 60 years of its existence the Choir has never rested on its laurels, to do so would have resulted in musical decline. On the competition stage the Choir has amassed no fewer than four National Eisteddfod titles, five Championships:- Cheltenham Choral Gold Cup and the Cornish Open Championship to name just two. The repertoire of male choirs have been enhanced and enriched with the commissioning of music from composers such as Mervyn Burtch and the late William Mathias. Balanced against this strive for perfection through the musical discipline of competitions, the Choir has also channelled its energies into the promotion and support through concerts of various national and international charities such as heart and cancer appeal funds. It has even been invited to support a Royal Gala Concert at the thjeatre in Windsor and even a concert at Eton College under the chairmanship of a certain Sir Terry Worgan. One of the Choir's major projects in the late 1980's was the support given following the Mexican Earthquake disaster when it made a topical football record to coincide with the Mexican World Cup and donated all profits to the Children's Orphanage Fund headed by our ambassador and also the Placido Domingo Fund. | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Kids Indestructible | Tim Robinson and Phil Quaite | Kids Indestructible are Tim Robinson and Phil Quaite. Both hail from Yorkshire, England and first began recording, under the name Antidote, in 1998. Encouraged by their friend, Beatnik Records boss Carl Emery, Antidote released a 12" EP on that label called "Riot in Studio 54". This experiment in combining the disco sound of Chic with Drum &Bass gained favourable reviews in DJ Magazine among others and eventually sold out its modest run of 500. Later they would change their style to a more expansive, ambient electronic sound. They adopted a new name, Kids Indestructible (chosen as it sounded like a cartoon series yet to be made). They decided on 'Please Avoid Strong Light' as a potential album title which has since become their catchphrase and band logo. The phrase is taken from the text on the back of packets of Seabrook Crisps manufactured in Bradford in their native Yorkshire. This also became the title of one of their definitive tracks, a vocoderised Beach Boy chant mixed with electronic drones and jaunty piano, which grabbed the attention of Parisian record label, Gooom Disques. This combination of unexpected musical influences sums up the Kids Indestructible sound very well. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Paul's Big Radio | Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti, MI Paul's Big Radio is a roots influenced rock and roll band featuring songs by Morris Paul Lippens. Harmony driven vocals, a tasty two guitar punch and *pedals* Morris Paul Lippens - vocals, guitar Josh Killom - guitar, vocals Jerry Hancock - bass Robin M. Grant - vocals Paul's Big Radio is led by singer and songwriter Paul Lippens, who is specialize in a kind of delightfully ragged alt-country-tinged roots rock that seldom drifts into genre clichés, thanks largely to Lippens' heartfelt and personal approach to the stories he tells. This is the kind of thing Gram Parsons had always dreamed of, a seamless mix of country, soul, and rock & roll that he termed "Cosmic American Music," and Paul's Big Radio music is exactly that. The traditional material is done with the ragged passion of the truly smitten and possessed, with lead singer Paul Lippens' vocals careening through mountain standards in a kind of spry, spirited hoedown that would make any mountain string band proud. Yeah, it sounds distantly like bluegrass, but it isn't, drawing its strength from an older and deeper well. Lead guitarist Josh Killom in particular really shines and points to how unpredictable and versatile PBR really are. This isn't a band content to stand in one place very long, and it will be interesting to see where they go next | |

Extraordinary trio ensemble of vocal/voice, bass, and hurdy gurdy triggers an unique chemical reaction of various expressions such as sensitive sound within silence, vocalization of a forgotten and nameless language, interplay of discordant masses of sound, the magic of minimal repetition, and dark/dense drones. They also attempt to improvise with text readings. It is as if the words are given resonance, and appear as a spirit, then seem to melt with the sound.

| Search | Add | 5 | The Nevels Sisters | With powerhouse vocals and energy that electrifies and empowers listeners, the Nevels Sisters aren't your typical gospel girl group. Offering a new style of gospel music dubbed “new traditional thump,” the ladies are the latest gospel artists helping to redefine what the genre looks and sounds like in the contemporary era. Natives of Youngstown, Ohio, the group is made up of four biological sisters: Debra, Veneice, Gail and April. Their singing ministry dates back to their father's church, Nevels Temple Church of God in Christ, where as young girls they warmed the souls of his congregation, delivering their special brand of praise and worship. Encouraged by the overwhelming positive response to their artistry, the sisters ventured out on the road with their father where they further evolved their talents. “The time that we spent on the road has really prepared us for where we are today,” says Gail. “At first, we were unaware of our gifts as artists, but now we are filled with great confidence as we share those gifts in praise of the Lord.” With a push from God that kept moving them forward, the Nevels Sisters eventually caught the ear of gospel music pioneer Vicki Mack Lataillade, who immediately recognized their unique talents. “I was just amazed by their talent and energy,” says Lataillade, who got to work, striking a deal with MoLife Entertainment to bring the Nevels Sisters under her direction at Lataillade Entertainment. “We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Vicki and we look forward to where this opportunity will take us in our journey,” says Veneice. At last primed for the big time, the Nevels Sisters are set for their first major label release, It's My Time, coming in April 2011, which offers a sparkling showcase of their mesmerizing talents. While comparisons to other gospel sister acts, like the famed Clark Sisters, are inevitable, the Nevels Sisters are excited to share what they uniquely bring to the gospel music landscape. “To be compared to the legendary Clark Sisters is an incredible honor,” says April. “We certainly hope to do them proud as we walk down the road that they paved, and to keep carrying the torch of excellence with the gifts that God has given the Nevels Sisters.” “Our goal is to make a great impact on people,” says Debra. “Each of us feels that it is an honor and a privilege that we have this opportunity and we don't plan to waste a minute of it.” | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Tiny Hueman | iny Hueman is a five piece indie rock band from Philadelphia, PA. The group was initially formed in December, 2016 by Dustin Miller and Richie Hollahan, while the two began writing music in Hollahan’s basement during the cold winter months. After self-recording and releasing their demo ‘Growing Bones’, Miller and Hollahan quickly realized they had something special going, and decided to book time at the Headroom Studios in Philadelphia (Hop Along, Kississippi, The Districts). After writing five songs, they enlisted Dustin’s cousin Kevin to play drums on what would become their studio debut ‘Shallow’. The band performed on Philly’s largest FM alt-rock station, Radio 104.5 on the day of Shallow’s release, and has continually played the north east (Philly, Brooklyn) to packed crowds. In June 2017, the band officially added three new members - Kevin Miller, Vinny Vaccaro, and Josh Halberstadt to solidify their lineup. Tiny Hueman has since recorded their sophomore EP ‘Drift’ at The Headroom Studios, engineered/produced by Kyle Pulley of Thin Lips, released on November 24, 2017. | |
| Search | Add | 5 | Croskill | Brazilian Heavy Metal Band. Croskill is a Brazilian heavy metal band formed in 1989 and was active until 1998. During the years of activity the band recorded two songs on the compilation Whiplash Attack Vol. 1 and an album entitled Escape into Fantasies, considered the first heavy metal concept album in Brazil, released on vinyl in 1991 by the Rock Brigade Records label. Croskill's music during this period reveals striking nuances and rhythmic variations, showing the musical and timeless quality of his work. Bringing influences ranging from 80's heavy metal to 70's progressive rock. Easily identifiable, its sound immediately takes us to the contemporaneity of these musical styles. In 2013, the band got together for a single performance at the renowned Festival DoSol in Natal, in the Northeast of Brazil. This show ended up making the founding members Eri Soares (bass) and Jucian Lima (vocals and drums) feel the impetus to return to activities that ended early. After a few years, more specifically in 2021, during the period of the covid pandemic, the two teamed up again and started composing new songs. This work brings a more avant-garde approach than the music practiced previously, thus presenting a natural maturation in his work, already rich in details and with very elaborate lyrics, a characteristic that is also remarkable in his work. Currently Croskill has Jucian Lima (vocals and drums), Eri Soares (bass), Karim Serri (guitar) and Denilton Falcão (guitar), and is preparing to release new material in 2023, songs with a current footprint , mixing new trends like psychedelic space rock and stoner rock to their progressive metal. Check out Croskill's unique and original work and stay tuned for new releases coming soon and see Croskill at the forefront of Brazilian metal. | |
