Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Its work combines an unconventional approach to pop music, catchy choruses and a longing for Millennial youth to the hum of whizzing synthesizers and the pounding of a straight drum. |

Born on 1 October 1997 and currently counts as an extraordinary up-and-coming producer at the industry. The sounds of DSTRQT would be described as clubby, futuristic and groovy. The brand DSTRQT came alive at the end of 2015, when he released his first unofficial remix of Infinity on the internet. The first big highlight came already one year later. Bojac and DSTRQT teamed up with their track "Formula", with a spot on Oliver Heldens’ imprint Heldeep Records. A few months later DSTRQT sent some music over-and over to Tiësto. One single song got his attention, with a final release on Tiësto’s Musical Freedom. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Carl Thien | Grew up in Long Island a little too young to be fully part of the first wave NYC CBGB/Max's scenes, but nonetheless able to get into shows, which became a huge influence on future endeavors. Enjoyed music discussions with Jimi LaLumia, who worked in a local Sam Goody's and guided me to my first independent record store, Norlee's in Ronkonkoma. First studio recordings were with Vial Of Life, all friends and from the same area. Moved to Boston in 1983 and played in Sinn Fein, then fell in love with the Paisley Underground sound. Moved to Los Angeles by invite of David Roback to play in post-Clay Allison band, which didn't quite work out. Fell in love with the Nardcore and skate scene in LA and super fast hardcore with Ill Repute as favorite band. Jammed several times with Sylvia Juncosa. Moved to Santa Cruz. Moved back to Boston and joined GingerBread Men, bringing the NYC/Paisley/HC unlikely blend into songs. Started Gull Records and put out a GBM 7" (another came out on Arf Arf). More studio recordings were made at the time which have become a new Gull Records release. Became a College radio DJ, first at Harvard's WHRB, then Boston College's WZBC (Gulls Window Circus still airs every Tuesday 5-7pm EST). Formed Turkish Delight after seeing Kudgel at a Billy Ruane Birthday show, blending that sound with west coast bands such as Oiler, and the Atlanta band Pineal Ventana. In 2017 started the art punk band Gull Boy, currently in its fifth lineup and going strong. | |

In the span of only two years Gipsy has become the premier destination for techno and house music in the Russian capital. The club's varied and all-encompassing program, which Roustam is responsible for, has featured a wide spectrum of great modern electronic artists, from Art Department and Nicolas Jaar to Ben Klock and Petre Inspirescu! In Gipsy and other places around the country Roustam has promoted events and performed with the who is who of cutting edge dance music. He has become known for comfortably fitting in as a back 2 back partner with many of his guests such as Matt Tolfrey, Droog, Clive Henry, Valentino Kanzyani, Seuil and the notoriously meticulous Romanians — Petre Inspirescu, Priku and Praslea. These daring journey sets have showcased Roustam's fluid and original style. Formerly Roustam was also an integral part of the magnificent trio of accomplished producers and djs hailing from Russia, better known around the world as Special Case. As a crucial member of the collective, along with his partners Arram Mantana and Tripmastaz, Roustam has released accomplished records on Culprit (which was remixed by no other than the great Petre Inspirescu) and Souvenir. Special Case have also crafted stellar remixes for Supernature, Akbal, and Plant 74 among other labels, featuring unique takes on such artists as Tiefschwarz, Inxec & Droog and Gwen Maze. As a part of the group he has also performed at leading festivals such as Sonar, WMC and Amsterdam Dance Event and in clubs like Watergate, Odeon and Katerholzig. Special Case was three individuals with varied tastes and styles that seamlessly blend into a beautiful composition whether it was through their mesmerising sets or through breathtaking productions on tasteful labels! As a solo performer Roustam has visited most parts of his native Russia along with great destinations in Europe and USA. He has crafted complex, engaging and usually extended sets which perfectly combined all sides of house and reduced elastic techno for such great party brands as Concrete in Paris, Half-Baked in London, Kontrast in Belgium and Just Wax in Berlin. Every month he continues to captivate club audiences everywhere from Oslo to Kiev. His debut solo record "Rustospace" was signed to the respected All Inn record label. It was released to much industry and critical acclaim on their new sister label Nilla in March of 2013 and is one of the label's all time top sellers as of now! "Rustospace" features a mind-bending remix from the talented Romanian duo NoiDoi. Special Case have also a record in the pipeline with Turquoise Blue, featuring an outstanding Seuil remix. His own vinyl-only Redpanda label also dropped its first release in April of 2013 with a Phrasis Veteris record! So far this young Russian producer, dj and ambassador of quality music in the motherland is only getting started! |

With the rise of digital presences in our post-pandemic world, most notably with the origin of the Facebook ‘Meta-Verse’, where we won’t be limited to the absence of our physical entities on social media, WJX explores these ideas with their hyper-surreal pieces. Their works combine inspirations from nature and the physical human form with concepts of a technological future, such as hybrid creatures, apocalyptic prophecies and the possible futures for our world, all using 3D rendering tools and photography that question our future ahead with the rise of digital opportunities. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Syncretism | Syncretism, NOUN : the amalgamation of different religions, cultures or schools of thought. Dave Scotland and Peter Koppes first met in a different time as musical partner guitarists in a Glam Rock band called Baby Grande. Achieving some notoriety and success, the band ran its fiery course but ultimately fell apart. Peter soon after became one of the founding members of The Church which has become one of the enduring Australian acts able to achieve world wide success. Meanwhile, Dave kept away from the spotlight after an unproductive solo recording career with Wizard Records, at the time a part of EMI. But he kept songwriting and recording because the flame wouldn't go out. Recently, an opportunity arose for Peter and Dave to revive their musical co-writing and performing friendship. The music flowed from this and suddenly a first album was born with all instruments played by Peter and Dave. Peter wrote wonderful story-telling lyrics that allowed Dave to record vocals on the songs. The resulting record is very much a collaborative effort. This is and we are Syncretism. | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Strip The Threads | Strip The Thread’s short existence in 2001, which only lasted for a year, left a memorable impact upon the Dutch Straight Edge hardcore scene. At the time, there were very few European bands who played straight forward clean-cut hardcore, inspired by the ones from a recent past such as Chain of Strenght, Hands Tied, Mouthpiece and Over The Line. On top of that: Strip The Threads consisted of members who were committed to the Straight Edge, (formerly) being part of bands like Reaching Forward, Know Your Enemy, Abusive Action, Product X and One Day Closer. With a budget of no more than just a couple of euros, the band released a limited edition 6 song demo-tape that was recorded in someone’s basement within a day. It sold out immediately and has never been re-released ever since, not until the songs were re-recorded and released as the "Won't hold back" EP by NOT JUST WORDS records not until 2010, but including two new songs. A year after their last show Strip The Threads made a guest appearance at the final show of fellow band Reaching Forward in 2002, the last time that all of the original members got together to play for a completely packed Goudvishal (Arnhem/Holland). A demo, some shirts, a handfull of shows and an amazing EP is what's left of Strip The Thread's legacy. Strip The Threads was: Johan - vocals Arthur - guitar Harm / Arold - bass Daan - drums Strip The Threads on the EP-recording: Johan - vocals / guitar Ries - drums Arthur - guitar / bass | |

Those 2 young men are actually born in the 60’s and take a walk with their youth in a retro-futuristic decade, a sort of temporal hole, somewhere between the 70’s and the 80’s. They were volunteers for a trip in a time machine, this duet now finds itself propelled into 2016. Equipped only with their instruments and their knowledge, The Past Travellers are here to regale our ears with revisited timeless pearls of disco-funk . They are heart brothers with Chic, Imagination, Michael Jackson, George Duke, Giorgio Moroder, Earth Wind & Fire. They also have an infinite connection with Daft Punk, Todd Terje and Mark Ronson… Great music, I’m sure you’ll agree, in such a family.

| Search | Add | 6 | Ulysses Manso | Ulysses Melo Manso | Singer and songwriter born in Brasília (BR). He began his career in 2010 with the band Salzband, with which he achieved significant relevance on the Christian scene, presenting an alternative sound to the congregational music of the time. Hits such as Somos um (We Are One) and Meu Coração Te Pertence (My Heart Belongs to You) already indicated his inclination towards rock, but with intimate and vertical lyrics. In 2015, with the album Sine Cera, the band dared to rock even more, but still generated a connection with the public, as shown by the success of the songs Foi de Graça and Oceano. In 2017, the album Sonhar e Viver (Dreaming and Living) showed an even more mature sound, consolidating their position as one of the most relevant bands in the history of the scene. The first single Nunca Me Deixe Parar reached number 13 on the Viral 50 - Brazil playlist, raising public expectations even higher for the band's new phase. With the end of Salzband in 2017, the artist launched the band Amen Jr. alongside Carlos Bezerra, Gabriel Eubank and Gustavo Ferraz. The singles V E R and L U Z marked the beginning of this new chapter in his career, followed by the EP F U T U R O, Ep.1 . Until 2022, when the band released their long-awaited album Buraco No Tempo (Hole In Time). |

In July, Bon Bon and the trio waxed ten tunes. Four of them ("I Drove You Into Some Else's Arms", "Do You Know How It Feels To Be Lonesome", "Building A Dream", and "I Just Had To See You Dear") were issued as Bon Bon and the Red Caps Trio. The other six ("Playin' The Field", "Riffin' With The Riff-Raff", "Must We Say Goodbye?", "Heaven Happens Tonight", "Too Bad", and "It Was So Nice Knowing You") were released as Bon Bon and the Park Avenue Trio. In August 1945, Bon Bon and the Red Caps Trio recorded "My Dreams Are Getting Me Nowhere" and "You'd Better Stop Playing With Fire". This time, the Red Caps Trio consisted of Steve Gibson, Romaine Brown, and bassist Israel Crosby (who had been with Fletcher Henderson's orchestra and had briefly been a member of the 3 Sharps And A Flat). November 1945 saw two records by the "Magnolia Five" (all four songs, led by Romaine Brown, had been recorded in September: "It Hurts Me, But I Like It", "Don't Come Cryin' To Me", "If You Can't Get Five, Take Two", and "Ouch!"). This was actually the Red Caps Trio (Steve Gibson, Romaine Brown, and Israel Crosby), augmented by musicians Walter "Foots" Thomas and Reginald Merrill (both sax and clarinet players). At that same session, they did the last Bon Bon and the Red Caps Trio recordings: "I Admit" and "Two Can Play That Game".

"Zingerla" became a big hit in Israel and following the The Psagot Band it was recorded by other artists including Enrico Macias, who recorded it in French for his performances in Israel that year... | Search | Add | 5 | Marco Burgatto | Marco Burgatto | Italian musician and composer, born 21 December 1975 in Milan, Italy. Marco's musical career evolved quite rapidly following an early, illuminating approach to guitar - his first-choice instrument - in a gone-by hot summer. After some years spent in steadily refining his playing skills, in 1997 he started his involvement as a session musician on four studio albums by rock group 'Loverwolf', culminating in a long series of live performances in clubs all around Italy. Already gained, by that time, a higher degree of guitar mastery, he made a decisive breakthrough towards new musical experiences by pushing into the background performing, and devoting himself to composing. Starting from 2001 on, he scored several works by directors Cristian Mazzola and Raffaele Piscitelli; in the meanwhile, he completed his first video clip, "Pioggia" (2002), which eventually resulted in the release of the homonym double concept album in 2003. Also in 2003, he released the mini CD "Dall’Inizio Alla Fine", including three short poems set to music using classical tunes, while, the following year, he found the right combination of time, inspiration and energies to complete his second full-length album, "Fantasmi". The growing importance of classical music in Marco's compositions led to the landmark release of the symphony "Giornata In Campagna" (2005) on Fridge Records, followed - that same year - by his third full-length album "L’Eroe Della Notte". But the time was ripe for more ambitious goals, which materialized with the release of his first rock opera, "Il Castello In Mezzo Al Mare" (2007), followed by the album "Il Canto Del Vento" (2008) - featuring prestigious guest performances by Angapiemage Persico, Stefano Tessadri, [a=Ubi Maior]'s rhythm section, 'The Real', and [a=Stefano Tamiazzo]. In the following couple of years, he brought to completion an out-and-out trilogy by releasing two more rock operas, "Il Rovescio Della Medaglia" (2009) and "La Sottile Linea" (2010). As a fringe activity - from 2003 to date - he's been creating commercial jingles, soundtracks and scores for several production studios and, more recently, for the online soundtrack and advertising music library "Unusual Library". Marco's later projects include the re-recording of "Giornata In Campagna" (2011) - with the support of a bunch of talented classical music performers -, and his new album "Epica" (2012), available for download from iTunes Store and other online digital music stores. |

Daniel Pomerantz’s jazz-band was the best exponent of swinging orchestra in the interwar Lithuanian little stage. The band usually performed in Konradas cafe in Kaunas. Pomerantz studied violin with Itzhak Vildman-Zaidman at the Kaunas Juozas Naujalis School of Music and Willy Hess at the Berlin Conservatoire. In Vienna he attended master classes given by Bronisław Huberman, a renowned violin virtuoso. While in Berlin, Pomerantz played in cafes and Marek Weber orchestra, at the time one of the most popular orchestras in Europe. Upon returning to Kaunas around 1933, Pomerantz formed an ensemble of multiinstrumentalists. The ensemble performed in Konradas and Monika cafes and not before long started competing with the celebrated Hofmeklerband in terms of mastery. He liked to play solo violin in cafes; he played almost the entire violin repertoire fascinating his listeners by virtuoso passages and improvisations. In 1936, orchestra conducted by Pomerantz joined by recording studio orchestra members and soloist Antanas Dvarionas recorded for label Columbia 11 shellac records, featuring fashionable tangos, waltzes and foxtrots.

| Search | Add | 5 | Andy Pendle | Andy Pendle started DJ'ing in 1990 after falling in love with Hip Hop and then House Music. "I have been doing it ever since, covering all sorts of genres: Chicago, rave, old school, breakeat, UK house, trance, hard house and electro". "I started collecting house music back in 1986 after hearing some of the early classics from the likes of Raze, Ce Ce Rogers and Marshall Jefferson". "My first foray in to club DJ’ing (unless you count putting on a night from college in 1991) came after sending a tape (remember those?!?!) to the biggest rave night in Blackpool at The Zone in 1992. After a couple of nights filling in there, I became a resident Zone DJ for most of the next 7 years before starting to play for many more nights around the North West and West Yorkshire". | |
