Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Owls Are Not | The style of the band may be defined as a drum'n'bass arranged for punk/hardcore setting, which is extremely rare and aggressive mixture. Unique and explosive mix of distorted bass, precise and dynamite drums with psychedelic electronic, which all create the very mesmerizing music ritual.

Search | Add | 5 | Atombuzz | Atombuzz is a four piece hardcore punk band from the sunny Sussex riviera. They have outlasted trends, scenes and governments by refusing to give in and just doing what they do. They play fast rock 'n' roll taking influences from Poison Idea, Discharge, The Varukers, The Exploited, Peter and The Test Tube Babies and more. Society gives them plenty of material and anger to craft their music and they do this anyway they like. They have been causing chaos since 1993 and in between drinking and splitting up, managed to record and release: 2 EPS, 3 albums and a double A side Christmas single. They are no longer playing as a band and instead prefer listening to Meat Loaf whilst drinking port and eating cheese. Although never say die!

Search | Add | 5 | Martin van Maële | Maurice François Alfred Martin van Miële | Maurice Martin van Miële (12 October 1863, Boulogne-Billancourt — 5 September 1926, Varennes-Jarcy), professionally known as Martin van Maële, was a French illustrator, particularly notable for his explicit and exacerbated drawings for erotic literature. He extensively collaborated with Charles Carrington in Paris, a leading erotica publisher, illustrating books by [a=Anatole France], [a=Paul Verlaine]'s La Trilogie érotique, and Apulée's L'Âne d'or. Maële created art for other antique and Renaissance authors, like [a=Ovid], [a=François Beroalde De Verville], [a=Pierre Choderlos de Laclos], and [a=Denis Diderot], and his contemporaries, including [a648094] under the "Sadinet" pseudonym, [a=Charles Baudelaire]'s pioneering French translations of [a=Edgar Allan Poe], or Aventures Extraordinaires by [a=Sir Arthur Conan Doyle]. Since many of Martin van Maële's works depict minors, partially or fully naked and engaged in frivolous activities, his name regularly comes up in contemporary discussions about the legal and moral status of virtual depictions of nude minors, particularly historically or artistically significant images. In April 2010, one of [a=Wikipedia]'s co-founders, Larry Sanger, published his letter to the FBI, accusing [a=Wikimedia Commons] of hosting "child pornography;" he specifically chose a selection of Maële's graphics and "Lolicon" category as two glaring examples. |

Search | Add | 5 | Filago | Filago, named for the beautiful Italian sound of both a flower and a municipality in Italy, was formed in Paris in 2013 when three like-minded musicians, Marco, Nico and Jim, were introduced by mutual friends. Classically trained as jazz musicians, Nico (Nicolas Charlier) plays drums and percussion while Marco (Marc-Antoine Perrio) plays guitar, piano, many other instruments, and sings back-up vocals. Lead singer Jim (Jean-Marie Paillard) is a self-taught guitarist who possesses a crystal clear, dream-like voice. The three share common musical influences of the Talking Heads, Nick Cave, Serge Gainsbourg and Mark Hollis. The Smiths are a clear influence both in lyrics and music, as are 80’s synth-pop sounds and simple melodies like post-punk American band The Cars, especially when instrumentals break down to bare bones bass and drums. Filago’s first EP "The Blue Part In The Flame," was released in 2014, and their latest, “Fetish” was recorded in Paris and Videlles (France) in the summer of 2015.

Search | Add | 5 | Bruce Munro | British artist Bruce Munro is best known for immersive large-scale light-based installations inspired largely by his interest in shared human experience. Recording ideas and images in sketchbooks has been his practice for over 30 years. By this means he has captured his responses to stimuli such as music, literature, science, and the world around him for reference, reflection, and subject matter. This tendency has been combined with a liking for components and an inventive urge for reuse, coupled with career training in manufacture of light. As a result Munro produces both monumental temporary experiential artworks as well as intimate story-pieces.

Ремикс на композицию "От непониманий" получил название "Where Are You?". В итоге ирландские DJ, которые сотрудничают с лэйблом, сделали ремиксы на "Where Are You?"

Search | Add | 5 | The Ex-Bombers | The Ex-Bombers are a sinister psychedelic blues duo who play suspiciously resonant songs harnessing the thunder of electric 8-string bass and drums, a pair of wrecking ball voices, and a delightful kaleidoscope perspective of a world on fire. Since 2010 they have been amassing a cult following through their scintillating live shows and five electrifying vinyl releases on Cavetone Records. Thee Story: “Can you hear my heart beat? Whisper in my ear.” Each breath brings with it a shared collective consciousness until, hesitation... it skips a beat. Electricity charges the moment with its velvet touch and The Ex-Bombers begin the sonic ritual with an electric 8 string bass, a small drum set, and a unique blues-meets-garage-meets-jazz dual vocal attack. Their songs are both timely and timeless. The Ex-Bombers promotional photo complete with leather, cat print, and plastic wrap " A sinister extension of the late 60s sound, the pair would have been the house band for the leather club across from the Fillmore West. Think Grace Slick and Lou Reed took over The Doors, add the verve of first-wave garage psych (ex: Music Machine, Chocolate Watchband, Shadows of Knight), and stir in some of the most clever songwriting ever committed to wax. Primal pop hooks, unforgettable frenetic performances, and the type of honesty that only a funhouse mirror can provide. The Ex-Bombers have been a cult band in the making since their debut in a “venue” called the Snake Pit (a townhouse garage) back in 2010 where the decidedly non-punk pair dressed in all black ripped out a set of scintillating originals, perverted versions of covers, and let a pre-recorded VHS tape take the place of banter between songs. Everyone became lost in a shared moment. Curious looks turned to dedicated followers. Since that show, M. Keri Cousins (drums) and S.M. Nancy Walus (bass) have played anywhere with a power outlet on some of the biggest and the smallest stages at clubs, bars, breweries, art spaces, and even three weddings (Catholic, Pagan, and non-denominational for those keeping track). Along the way, they put out five vinyl releases on Cavetone Records that have been met with adulation and intrigue. The releases include multiple long players (“The Tightwire” [2012] / “Five Star Night” [2015] / “New Love Is Easy” [2021]) and 7” releases (Anti-single [2013] / Original Halloween tune [2018]) all recorded completely analog in the spirit of 1967 complete with the crazy concept of playing the songs live / together in a singular take. Known for the production of their albums, the pair have also been the invisible hands that have produced countless other bands' records. The Ex-Bombers continue to dedicate themselves to the craft of being musicians, chasing sounds, and writing songs that describe a kaleidoscope existence that is anything but vanilla.

Search | Add | 5 | Grandma's Boys | Barbershop Harmony Society's 1979 International Quartet Champion. They first got their start in high school on Memorial Day of 1968. The quartet originally consisted of Jeff Calhoun on tenor, Jay Giallombardo on lead, Hank Brandt on baritone, and John Miller on bass. The quartet decided to call name themselves after the Four Rascal’s popular song, “Grandma’s Boy.” They group got coaching from Bob “Moose” Haeger in the early days and won the 1968 Illinois District Championship. Shortly after winning the district college got in the way and the quartet had to take a brief step back. In 1969, they competed in their first preliminary contest but unfortunately failed to qualify for international. Around this time, Hank and Jay swapped parts and changed the sound of the quartet a bit. The quartet qualified for the 1970 international and placed 11th in Atlantic City, NJ. They placed 10th in 1971, and 14th in 1972. They didn’t compete in 1973 but repeated as 10th place finalists in 1974. Following that international, tenor, Jeff Calhoun, moved to Colorado. In late 1974, Jim Sikorski from Milwaukee, WI joined the quartet as the new tenor. At this time, Mac Huff also became their primary coach. They released their first album in early 1975 entitled, “Tonight.” They jumped from 10th all the way to third place bronze medalists in 1975. Following the 1975 international, Jim left the quartet. Mac Huff suggested that Don Barnick join as their new tenor and he did. With Don, the quartet dropped down to 6th in 1976 and 7th in 1977. In 1978, the quartet jumped all the way up to second place silver medalists. They released their second album entitled, “I Had A Dream Dear”, the same year. They finally won it all in Minneapolis, MN. A year later, following their swan set, John Miller left the quartet due to job changes and Randy Loos joined as bass. With Randy, they released their third and final album entitled, “Grandma’s Boys III”, in 1983. Grandma’s Boys finally retired following the 1985 AIC Show. John Miller went on to win a second gold medal in 1985 with The New Tradition and Don Barnick won his second gold medal in 1992 as the bass of Keepsake. Don and Randy Loos went on to sing in a quartet together called the Sidekicks. Jay Giallombardo went on to direct the New Tradition Chorus and sing in several more successful quartets. The championship version of Grandma’s Boys reunited several times over the years and performed their last show to date on the 2004 AIC Show to celebrate their 25th anniversary of winning the gold. Today, all seven members are still with us.

Search | Add | 5 | Zainab Majid | Zainab Majid, was born in 1936 from a pakistani parentage. She was a student of Raffles Girls' School and was a nurse at the School Health Institute. In the mid 1950s, Zainab had participated in a local talentime and had won the first placing. Zainab who was capable in singing English and malay songs was also an expert in hindustani and tamil songs. She was then offered to make a recording to sing malay songs with the hindustani beat which was very popular in the 1950s. During the recordings, Zainab was accompanied by Ahmad Jaafar Orchestra and Ahmad Wan Yet Orchestra on different recording dates. Most of the songs that were recorded were mainly cover songs from the popular hindi films. It was believed that the lyrics were mostly written by the singer S.Hamid. Among her popular songs were Kau Dihatiku, Kechantikan and Kita Bersama. Zainab also sang duet with Razak Majid in songs such as Alam Impian and Penggoda Hati. Beside singging hindustani beat, Zainab also did a Rock n' Roll tune which called Siapa Dia. Soon she became the competitor with established singer like R.Azmi who was famous in singing the same genre. Competition was seen when both sang the same song called Sampaikan Salam. In the early 1960s, Zainab had joined the all chinese girls band called The Blue Belles. The group which was formed in 1959, decided to have another singer into the band. Zainab Majid will always be remembered of her part in contributing malay songs in hindustani tune in the mid 1950s.

He went through all sorts of phases until he has found psyhedelicbreak which has breakbeat, techno and psychedelic elements. In his tracks he is focusing more on the melody rather than genres. Between 2009 and 2012 he was a resident member of Artkatakomba and Mappa club and also organised techno and drumandbass parties at Deja Vu Music Club as well as other events with a former crew called Mindwarp. Ever since he performed at several festivals throughout Budapest. Currently Omech has his own radio show on High Frequency Radio on dnbnoise.com. Contact: omechmusic@gmail.com
