Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025

Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Mission For Christ Centered around bassist [a=John Gibson (9)] (aka JC Agnatha), Mission For Christ featured a rotating cast that was equally well-versed in full-throttle punk, go-go funk, and art-damaged junk. A loose-knit project, MFC flaunted an absurd, topical, and gleefully bizarre mesh of styles that recklessly disregarded subcultures, colors, and easy definitions. No Trend mastermind and guitarist [a=Frank Price (2)] had come aboard in 1985, shortly before the band broke-up.

Search Add 3 Ferroblues Ferroblues The origin dates back to an earlier group that had the guitar Fernando Rubio, and Amador Blaya (voice) in Cartagena, the Miraculous Medicinal Primitive Blues Band, playing essentially the same repertoire that would then Ferroblues. In 1986, Fernando Rubio, taking advantage of his stay in fans, recruits drummer Juan Ramón Cuenca and Bass player Pepito Cuenca for a project, Ferroblues, which takes the name of the brothers (who worked at the Renfe). Besides Amador, the first full training Manolo Gomez. Soon after, Manolo leaving the group to form Blueswagen, and in turn become two former Primitive, Carlos Campoy keyboards and José Antonio Tur bass, which would, Juanjo Rodriguez taking his position. Juan Antonio Ross also goes to the battery. This training revolve around Spain, playing in all sorts of places. Later, Juan Antonio Ross is leaving to start his solo project, entering Diego Canovas (well known in Cartagena) in getting manager and record label, Club Sirocco Records, the Sirocco room where usually acted and had won the prize best live at 93. Thus, they recorded their first album, "tripe" (Club Sirocco, 1994), in studies of Pepe Moreno Murcia. Produced by Juan Antonio Ross, shows robust sound, based on the soul and touches of other styles. "Black Soul in the guts" they call it. It is best to let go and do not stop to analyze. With the album under his arm again revolve around the bull's hide. Half tour, Diego is unable to balance work, personal life and actions, leaving the group, and Juan Exposito is incorporated, which will be the final formation -recapitulemos: Amador Blaya (voice), Fernando Rubio (guitar) Juanjo Rodriguez (bass), Carlos Campoy (keyboard) and Juan Exposito (drums) -. Also a couple of times in the Sea of Music (Cartagena, Murcia) and in the spring of the Autonomous University of Madrid. Following often act in a mod den Madrid -The Bareto of Paco on the Plaza de Chueca, they emerged performances at various concentrations of mods, like Zaragoza and Centelles (Barcelona), and a large group of followers mods, given the soulful vocation and Ferroblues they were among the few soul bands practiced in Spain in the 80s and 90s. On his penchant for live band and the difficult style -in terms noncommercial practiced only recorded a CD, "Blind Lizard" (Big Bang, 2000), on Granada's Big Bang, which is considered one of the best albums Spanish soul. Although never formally separate, the group is almost nonexistent, but meet occasionally for some special occasion. Fernando Rubio participate in Soul Finger, American Pie and Malaventura, and start a solo career; Carlos Campoy militate Marañones and Grrrr !, The Juan Exposito in American Pie and Juanjo Rodriguez Street Rhythm.

Search Add 3 Gérard-Philippe Broutin Gérard-Philippe Broutin, known as Broutin, is a French lettrist artist, born August 18, 1948 in Saint-Cloud. He has lived and worked in Berlin since 2010.. Broutin studied Art History at the University of Paris and the École du Louvre. Alongside other artists such as Maurice Lemaître, Roland Sabatier, Alain Satié, François Poyet or Jean-Pierre Gillard in particular, Broutin meets Isidore Isou in 1968 and from then on participates in most of the events and literary exhibitions of the lettrist movement. His first pictorial works were shown in March 1969, during the exhibition “Today Lettrism and Hypergraphy” at Galerie Stadler in Paris. The scattered elements that he proposes—lines of writing, hieroglyphic ideograms, empty compartments, precisely drawn—evolve towards the creation of a personal alphabet, made of notional signs, mainly animals and plants, which will be his particular mark.

Search Add 3 Unknown Mystery 60's Group "The songs released on the Distortions CD in 1997 were found on a reel to reel tape at an outdoor flea market in Philadelphia. Nothing was known about the group except for the song titles which were written on the tape box. In 2001 Octopus Records attempted to track down the identity of the band and eventually made contact with the band's drummer, living in Spain. A second and a third volumes (2007, on Birdhouse Records) of material were released but the band elected to remain anonymous." It seems that the "Unknown Mystery 60's Group" is in fact a clever modern artistic project from Philadelphia and made to appear to sound like it was recorded in the 60's.

Search Add 3 Zombies Loves Videogames Matt Gallagher & Julie Rutherford Zombies Loves Videogames was a Chiptune/Emo project based in Port Macquarie, Australia. Founded in 2007 originally by Matt Gallagher and Owen Guttormsen, Matt and Owen created the band as a hobby rather than something serious and released the first EP in 2009 Where would be the only release where Owen would be present since at the end of that year he died from a car accident. After months, Matt decides to recruit Julie Rutherford (A friend who met her on Myspace) and for the following year, they decided to release the first full-length album. The duo released a total of: 2 albums (Pretty Bits Machine and The Living Sprites), 3 EPs (Self Titled, Penguins And Nintendo Games!! and Konami Code) and 1 live-album (Thx U Sm, UK <3) and 1 compilation (Untitled), The project lasted from 2007 to 2014 when Matt and Julie decided to leave the band because they wanted to pursue other projects not related to ZLV. And it wasn't until 2021 that they returned to work on the project and would create new songs again, although so far they haven't released anything yet. •Members• Matt Galmagher (vox, screams, programming) - 2007-present Julie Rutherford (backup vox, keyboard) - 2009-present •Former Members• Owen Guttormsen (keyboard, programming)[deceased] - 2007-2009

Search Add 3 Wizzards Of Rock Wizzards Of Rock (MC Sheeck and B-Boy Hutch) Sheeck has been in the Hip Hop game since the 80's. He was an original member of the infamous group “Above The Law”, doing production on several tracks and having a highly influential impact on the group. Due to contractual disagreements, Sheeck and Above The Law parted ways as a group. As Above The Law continued on, Sheeck stayed busy behind the scenes producing and writing for himself, Above The Law and other groups alike. Through a long journey in the music industry, often taking a back seat on his own career, Sheeck has since emerged with his solo album “UnderGround Hog” , released in 2007, with the first single “Crazy” featuring Suga Free. After hooking back up with fellow Pomona producer, Tony “TouchTone” Isaac, the two collaborated on a few tracks and Sheeck followed through with his own production on the rest of the album. Not only showing the mastery of his music production skills, Sheeck displays an ability like no other on his lyrical style and content. Once you hear his music, you can clearly see that this artist is a seasoned vet and not a newcomer to Hip Hop. Sheeck is now part of a NEW group entitled Dreaded. The Album will release early 2011, while the first sneak peek song is on Youtube entitled "Krooked Letter'r" performed by Rickshaw with Sheeck doing the spoken word. The new project is "conscience" music, meant to stimulate the mind and teach knowledge unlike the brainless mind music out today.
