Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Dr. Wm. H. "Bill" Alexander | William H. Alexander | Born: January 20, 1915 at Shelbyville, Missouri, United States. Died: April 3, 1960 at Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, United States. William "Bill" Alexander's father was a pastor based in St. Louis, Missouri. As a young man, Bill initially pursued a career in show business as a vaudeville emcee and musician. In the early 1930s, he attended the University of Tulsa with the aim of becoming a pastor like his father. In 1935, he became a student pastor First Christian Church in Stroud, Oklahoma, where he grew the congregation from 35 to 600 within a few years. Bill then stepped away to focus on his education and subsequently headed a Los Angeles, California, church for a year. In 1942, he became the pastor of First Christian Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A few years later, after World War II, Bill focused on realizing his vision for a campus called the Church of Tomorrow. The complex would be one of the largest in the United States and included a modern sanctuary, educational buildings, theatre, youth center, picnic and camping grounds, baseball fields, tennis courts, and a 3,500-seat amphitheater. Design was undertaken by Conner & Pojezny Designs and the complex's phased construction began in the late 1940s. In 1950, Bill lost his bid as a Republican for the U.S. Senate. In 1952, he became the national chaplain for the Republican Party during Dwight D. Eisenhower’s first run for office. In December 1956, a milestone for The Church of Tomorrow was reached when construction of the First Christian Church was complete and it opened. The sanctuary had a dramatic egg-shaped dome configuration. The futuristic design became a beloved icon for the state of Oklahoma and it was lauded in national publications such as Life, Newsweek, and Architectural Record. However, Bill did not get to see the rest of the Church of Tomorrow project come to fruition. In April 1960, while flying to a speaking engagement in Hershey, Pennsylvania, his plane crashed during a rainstorm. Bill, his wife Mary Louise, and their pilot M.S. Shuman were all killed when their twin-engine plane crashed into a parking lot while attempting to land. Bill’s life insurance would fund the Church of Tomorrow's William H. "Bill" Alexander Memorial Youth Center, which was dedicated in 1961. Work continued on completing construction of the campus, with the final building being completed in the mid-1960s. In 2011, the First Christian Church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2016, the aging building and the rest of the Church of Tomorrow property were placed for sale. In 2017, the church building was placed on Preservation Oklahoma's list of the state's Most Endangered Historic Places. In 2022, the First Christian Church was demolished. |

Search | Add | 2 | The Lenzmen | Lenzmen are a four-man New York based rap group. The Lenzmen have been making songs together for nearly a decade. The name Lenzmen is structured from Lyrically Enhanced Scientists and expresses the creative slant their version of Hip Hop is geared to. Each Lenzmen is designated with a number and a sight description based on his order of origin (when he joined the group) and personality. The Animal/ Insect Totem, among other things like The Alphabet Symbol Chart and The Planetary Alignment Map further establish the Conceptual Square each Lenzmen develops in. They are That Next Thing to inject a whole new sound into the under nourished music industry. The Lenzmen concept is complete in all angles and has far reaching goals beyond the immediate struggle for survival. The industry needs to awaken from its' hibernation and embrace the aLiENZ.

Singer/Songwriter Dave Cassell and Drummer Oscar Hermosillo are first cousins and have been playing music together since the age of 13. They played in a band together throughout high school. After High School, Oscar went to the University of California Santa Barbara where he met and lived with Guitarist/Producer and Mix Master Harold Lee and Bass Player/Player Chris Ohno for over 7 years. Dave continued playing and touring with a band called Applekore. In about May of 1993, Dave's band broke up and so did Harold's infamous Los Guys, another band that toured and played for several years here and even in China. Chris and Oscar were practicing riffs in -the garage- Santa Barbara for Santa Mierda, a band that had members of every band within a 12 mile radius and no songs. Chris and Oscar thought it would be a good idea to start playing actual songs and decided to call Dave and talk to Harold about starting a band. Within a few days, Dave packed his stuff, moved to Santa Barbara and Rice N Beans was created. Rice N Beans played in the Santa Barbara area and traveled whenever possible for about 3 years. In the Santa Barbara area, Rice N Beans shared the stage with Snot, Dishwalla, Nutmeg, and many other great acts. In 1996, Oscar, the drummer, decided that L.A. was the place to be and moved to the City of Highland Park in Los Angeles. He started hanging out at a place called the Peace and Justice Center in Downtown L.A. and several other warehouses occupied by active artists, musicians and others involved with the advancement of the arts and its people. At these warehouses, the following bands were created and/or performed: Blues Experiment, Ozomatli, Aztlan Underground, Quetzal, Ollin, Very Be Careful, Quinto Sol, and many others. Performers such as HR from the Bad Brains, Zack De La Rocha of Rage Against The Machine, members of the Watts Prophets and many other artists residing in L.A. often did spoken word or played with projects they were participating in. Rice N Beans started playing L.A. on a regular basis and released their first full length CD called POLVO. It was self-produced under the Rice N Beans record label called Chupa Cabra Records. The other three members of Rice N Beans Living in Santa Barbara eventually moved to Los Angeles.

Search | Add | 2 | Hut-Four | The Hut-Four are the Barbershop Harmony Society’s 1958 Land O’ Lakes District Champions. First organized in early 1953 with Herb Fane on tenor, Bob Dykstra on lead, Bob Moksnes on baritone, and John Hansen on bass. They were all in the US Army at the time and the name “Hut-Four” came from the Army. During their two years in the army, they would sing around base at Fort Riley and around Kansas. They performed on the Ed Sullivan Show, the Arthur Godfrey Talent Scout, and an Army talent show hosted by Arlene Francis. After the guys got out of the Army in late 1954, the quartet temporarily broke up. In early 1955, the quartet got back together with Johnny Wheeler on tenor and Don Sundt on baritone. Johnny left the quartet after a very short time singing with them to pursue a career in acting and was replaced by Bob Spong as tenor. They started competing and won the Land O’ Lakes District Championship in 1958. They placed as high as 11th in the SPEBSQSA International Quartet Contest. In 1962, Dan Howard replaced Don Sundt as baritone. They sang on a few USO tours between 1968 and 1970 entertaining hospitalized soldiers in Japan, Okinawa, and the Philippines who were injured in Vietnam. The Hut-Four retired in 1972 after nearly 20 years of singing together. They sang over 1,400 performances, traveled nearly 400,00 miles, sang all throughout the United States, Canada, Japan, Okinawa, and the Philippines, and sang as semi-finalists in the SPEBSQSA International contest seven times. Bob Spong went on to win the 1975 SPEBSQSA International Championship as the baritone of the Happiness Emporium. Bob Dykstra and John Hansen went on to sing together again for another 17 years in the “Salty Dogs” quartet. Today only Bob Dykstra and Dan Howard survive. Don Sundt died in 1999, John Hansen in 2019, and both Bob Spong and Herb Fane in 2021.

Á langri starfsævi vann hann einstakt frumkvöðlastarf í þágu félags- og íþróttastarfa fyrir íslenska æsku. Árið 1899 stofnaði sr. Friðrik bæði Kristilegt félag ungra manna (KFUM) og Kristilegt félag ungra kvenna (KFUK) og rúmum áratug síðar skátafélagið Væringja. Hann kom einnig að upphafi Vals í Reykjavík og Hauka í Hafnarfirði, en þessi rótgrónu íþróttafélög rekja bæði upphaf sitt til KFUM. Hið sama má segja um Karlakór KFUM sem stofnaður var í október 1912, og sem aldarfjórðungi síðar ól af sér Karlakórinn Fóstbræður. Séra Friðriki hafa verið reistir minnisvarðar, svo sem í Vatnaskógi og einnig var reist af honum stytta í lifanda lífi við Lækjargötu í Reykjavík, gerð af Sigurjóni Ólafssyni myndhöggvara. Search | Add | 2 | The Runawayz | Formed in 2015 by 17 year old Joe Newbon (Guitar & Lead Vocals) and Curt Jones (Drums) along with original Upright Bassist Jake Needham. The band started out playing covers of Rock n Roll and Rockabilly tracks, and eventually incorporated some original material. Sam French replaced Jake Needham in 2016 and the band remained popular on the Rock n Roll circuit for a few years. A few more lineup changes and eventually Joe was the only original member of the group and decided to split. After the COVID pandemic, Joe started to reform a lineup of The Runawayz which eventually settled back with Curt (original drummer) and Peter Lawson who did a spell with the band previously, and also plays with Joe in King Joe & The Atlantics. The band still play a lot of Rockabilly events and are well known for a wide knowledge and capability of playing various style of Rock n Roll related music, and even get booked to perform at venues like The Cavern Club in Liverpool where they cater for an audience that appreciates the early Merseybeat and British Rock n Roll sounds. The band still perform (as of writing this in 2024) but only as and when they are available due to being involved in other projects such as King Joe & The Atlantics, Toto & The Raw Deals, Emilio Santoro & The Creoles etc...

Search | Add | 2 | The Skopes | Growing up, high school friends Buddy Good and James Marvell would while away the hours in Brandon, Florida singing and writing songs together. Buddy & James wrote many songs during their teenage years and even had songs published by The Isley Brothers’ publishing company in New York. It was during this time that James and Buddy formed there first band together The Skopes. In 1965 Buddy happened to run into John Centinaro, the manager of a local record store, in Tampa, called Ron's Record Shop. Buddy invited Centinaro over to hear the bands garage rehearsals and he liked what he heard. Thanks to John the band started recording at an early age. John was also instrumental in getting there single "She's Got Bad Breath" & "Tears In Your Eyes", issued in the summer of 1967 on the USA label out of Chicago. The song features John and company doing a "mersey beat" spoof on the A side, with a decent mid tempo song on the B Side. Unfortunately for the band the Scope Mouthwash Company didn't see the funny side of "She's Got Bad Breath" and banned the song. It was this decision that forced the duo to change their group name to The Surprize.

Search | Add | 2 | The Getarounds | The Getarounds | the getarounds is a new musical group that was started by dan dresser and gaelynn lea during the dark winter months of 2012, more or less by accident. it's not that either party was lacking musical endeavors in their lives, after all. dan played for many years with the brushstrokes and, later, three song sunday. he also played shows as a lone wolf from time to time. meanwhile, gaelynn was up to her eyeballs in music with snöbarn and the murder of crows. but the first time dan & gaelynn played together, they knew they'd hit a nerve of sorts. so, trying to keep sane, they told themselves that they were just gonna do one show for fun, because, seriously, does duluth really need another band? but after that show, people started asking questions. like, when is your next show? and, when are you going to record together? so then dan and gaelynn had some musical reevaluating to do. dan and gaelynn decided that maybe they actually would record a few songs later in the spring. and, heck, if they were going to record, they might as well start a band so they could sell their new ep/cd/whatever-it-was at shows. and heck, every band needs a name at some point... so approximately 2 months and 5 shows later, the getarounds were officially born. their music is heavily influenced by dan dresser, as he wrote it. but it's what dan and gaelynn both bring to the table as musicians that make their shows especially fun to hear live. they've been told that their voices blend better than one would ever expect... that the combination is actually pretty magical in the proper moment. dan's skilled songwriting gives room for lots of emotion and varied dynamics; it is the perfect musical style for embellishment and support from the violin. also, they are great friends who don't mind being weirdos at shows if they feel like it, so they've been told that their stage banter is quite entertaining. the getarounds are booking shows in duluth/superior for the summer and fall of 2013, and recently released a 6-song ep that is available for download at their bandcamp page... it costs a mere $7! The money raised from selling their ep will go towards recording a full-length, studio album at the hideaway studio in minneapolis later this fall. they plan to invite lots of their dearest friends to contribute their musical talents to this recording project, so prepare for the unexpected! if you have any questions about the getarounds or would like them to come play music for you (at your bar or in your living room), please email dan and gaelynn at getarounds@gmail.com. you can also find them on facebook, of course! |

Search | Add | 2 | The Stoudion | The namesake of The Stoudion is an ancient eastern Christian monastery which was known for its artistic calligraphy, manuscript illumination and religious poetry. Like the creativity produced by the monastery, the soundscapes of The Stoudion are rooted in spiritual reverence. Analog electronic instruments are the artistic tools used to craft layered instrumentals that range from dark and contemplative to joyful and triumphant.
