Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | KastningSiegfried | The KastningSiegfried Duet Project was formed in 1990, and is an ongoing artistic collaborative between [a4968562] and Siegfried, a guitarist and composer based in Portland, Maine. The KastningSiegfried compositions are written in open score, but are performed and recorded by us for acoustic guitar duets. Compositionally, the works fall into one of three basic categories: pieces composed by Siegfried, pieces composed by me, and pieces collaborated upon and composed by us both. The music defies easy categorization. Instrumentation consists of Siegfried on acoustic 6-string guitar, and me on 6- and 12-string acoustic guitars, extended baritone guitar, 12-string extended baritone guitar, classical guitar, fretless classical guitar, and mandolin. The Binary Forms pieces tend to be extended compositions. The Binary Forms series (currently a set of 11 compositions) employ a compositional technique wherein one of us will compose one voice (the score being laid out in a two-voice system), either Voice I or Voice II. The completed single-voice score is given to the other person, who then composes the part of the unfinished voice. Usually, no predetermined guidelines have been specified for the unfinished voice, but there have been pieces wherein the first person has specified certain harmonic or structural elements as a kind of palette for the second person to use when composing their part. This compositional method has produced some very unique pieces.

With this new band Burden Is Burning, where he was the main vocalist and screamer, he toured all Europe and Russia and played with the most important metalcore artists cooperating with very important agencies as Avocado Booking and The Agency. On March 2015 he started his personal new music project, inspired by 2Cellos and Lindsey Stirling but with the intent to create something new, bringing his main instrument to the first line and using all his skills to create electronic samples. On July 2015 he started to record the first EP called "Icarus" and to shoot the first videoclip of "Daily Eclipse". On December 2015 he released "Icarus". |

Search | Add | 2 | Merle "Red" Scobee | Merle Nicholas Scobee was an adept five-string banjo player, born in Adair, Missouri on June 6, 1907. He led a hillbilly band called Red And His Arkansas Rangers, which included his brother Ray (“Zip”) and Art Brier (“Shorty”). The three played together for years on the Warner Brothers and Fox Circuits before landing work in the 1930s on WHO Radio in Des Moines, Iowa. In the late 30s, the group added two more members, the Rash Twins (Sally and Buck), and according to a Souvenir Program for the WHO Barn Dance Frolic, the group would “bewilder” folks as they switched from banjos to violins to guitars. He is credited as an on-screen musician in two Tex Ritter films, Starlight Over Texas (1938) and Down the Wyoming Trail (1939). Scobee continued his career with WHO as it added television broadcasts in the 1950s. He was a part of The Buckaroos music group, led by fiddler Slim Hayes. In the 1960s, he authored a 2-volume banjo instruction book called Picture Chords for Bluegrass Banjo, published by Pacific Coast Music. He also ran a music store in Des Moines called “Red Scobee’s, the Banjo Center of Iowa” (Billboard, 01 July 1967, p. WS-50). Red Scobee died in Putnam, Missouri on September 26, 1973.

Search | Add | 2 | Bronislava Nijinska | Bronisława Niżyńska | Bronislava Nijinska (8 January 1891 {O.S. 27 December 1890}, Minsk, Russian Empire — 21 February 1972, Pacific Palisades, California) was a Russian-American ballerina of Polish origins, influential choreographer and pedagogue, sister of [a=Vaslav Nijinsky] and [a=Irina Nijinska]'s mother. With a prolific career lasting over 20 years, Nijinska came to international stardom with [a=Serge Diaghilev]'s [a=Ballets Russes], more engaged as a choreographer and stage producer since the 1920s. She toured extensively in the UK, Europe, and Northern and South Americas between 1925 and 1934, collaborating with notable impresarios, directors, and theaters, such as [l=Teatro Colón], Opéra Russe à Paris, [a=Ballet Russe De Monte Carlo], [a=Anton Dolin] and Alicia Markova's "London Festival Ballet," the [l=Hollywood Bowl], Jacob's Pillow, [a=Max Reinhardt], and [a=Le Marquis De Cuevas], and ran two ballet companies in Paris, Ballets Nijinska (1931) and Théâtre de la Danse Nijinska (1932–34). Bronislava Nijinska immigrated to the United States in 1939 and naturalized as a US citizen in 1949. She continued working as a choreographer and artistic director, dedicating most of her time to teaching. Name variations: Branislava Nižynskaja, Bronislava Fominichna Nijinskaya, B. Fominitshna Nizhinskaya, Бронислава Фоминична Нижинская, Браніслава Ніжынская. Born in Minsk, Russian Empire (now Belarus), Bronislava was the third child of touring Polish dancers; all children were baptized in Warsaw and grew up in Poland. Her elder brother, [a=Vaslav Nijinsky] (1889—1950), also became a renowned ballet dancer and choreographer. Broni and Vaslav took initial training from their parents, who ran a full-time dance studio for adults and children. Circa 1900, nine-year-old Bronislava began taking lessons with a famous Italian pedagogue [a=Enrico Cecchetti]. Following Vaslav's footsteps, Nijinska attended the Imperial Ballet School in Saint Petersburg, graduating with honors in 1908. The same year, Bronislava made her stage debut with Mariinsky Ballet in [a=Michel Fokine]'s Les Sylphides. Broni Nijinska joined [a=Ballets Russes] company in 1910, debuting in Fokine's Carnaval production, with the "Papillon" role specifically written for her. Bronislava assisted Vaslav Nijinsky with his controversial L'Après-midi d'un faune choreography, which premiered at Théâtre du Châtelet in May 1912. The following year, Broni again aided her brother with equally contentious [a=Igor Stravinsky]'s Rite of Spring, which saw unprecedented public unrest during the premiere (mostly on behalf of provocative costumes and Nijinsky's extremely unconventional choreography). Bronislava Nijinska quit Ballets Russes after discovering her pregnancy. In 1914, she joined a short-lived Saison Nijinsky company established by her brother Vaslav and based at the London Palace Theatre. Bronislava returned to Russia with her husband the following year, living in Saint Petersburg and Kiyv; Nijinska split her time between dancing and working independently to design and stage her first choreographical productions. After the 1917 revolutions, life in Russia became too unpredictable and tumultuous, and Bronislava Nijinska expatriated in 1921. She reunited with Ballets Russes, appointed by Diaghilew as a choreographer. Nijinska created several cutting-edge and critically acclaimed ballets over the next four years, most notably Stravinsky's Les noces. |

Search | Add | 2 | Nego Blue Da Ilha | José Luís Rodrigues | Brazilian singer and songwriter, born in Curitiba, Paraná. He told his mother that he was going to spend the weekend on the coast with friends and that he would be back on Monday. It stayed a year. "I felt like Robinson Crusoe himself. I saw all that bush and I went crazy. This is where I belong, I thought." To ease her mother's suffering, Blue sent letters. He just wasn't sure how to fill in the return address. After all, he slept where he could. One of the favorite stops was the abandoned Navy post, next to the lighthouse. "It was a nice shack. It just leaned to the side. It was kind of a Batman cave." One day, Blue returned to the mainland to go shopping and found her mother at the warehouse in Pontal. She had notified the police and the judge, and she was already getting on the boat to go after her son. Blue returned to the capital. He studied until the seventh grade and started to make the Curitiba-Ilha script frequently. He became friends with fishermen and residents, left the Navy post and started sleeping at the house of acquaintances. Grandmother Maria, one of those who most assured landing, got music, played until today. The first stops were in Brasília. Enchanted, at the time, was a mystery. "It was a jungle. It was hard to get there." One day, Blue decided to take a chance. He walked for almost three hours and discovered that in Encantadas there were also fishermen. He liked it, and as usual, stayed for several months. Music became more frequent on the grotto side than on the lighthouse side. The people from Brasília demanded Nego, after all, had stopped there first and couldn't just change sides. With diplomacy and a full agenda, the issue was overcome. "I currently do shows on both sides. I'm not from Brasília or Encantadas. I'm Nego from Ilha do Mel." The singer, who is popular today, lived his early days away from maternal protection, giving guitar lessons, doing occasional fishing and "any kind of work that came up". On the mainland he had so many jobs he doesn't even remember. "I've been a mechanic, a store salesman, a tire repairman. A lot of bad jobs." In the meantime, Blue was already doing small shows on the island and on the coast. He didn't let go of the guitar. He practiced grips and strokes. One day, he spent the afternoon playing on the rocks of Praia Brava de Matinhos. He gathered a lot of people to see it. Blue made a sequel worthy of Muddy Waters (musician considered the father of the Chicago Blues). That's when Polaco, an experienced guitarist from Curitiba's nightlife, released the phrase. "It's a Nego Blue." Ready. The nickname stuck. He was taken to Curitiba. He performed at the old Tetro Universitário in Curitiba and also made friends, among them the rockers Blindagem. "They supported my first album", says he, who has already recorded two CDs. He even sang in Pará, where he played for months in exchange for bed and food. Blue only got more homely when he got married. The woman in his life, who would he say, was next to his mother's house. "I would come home from the party and always find that beautiful brunette leaving for work." In fact married. He has five children and lives only on music. He lives in Curitiba, but spends the season in Ilha do Mel, playing from Monday to Monday. He has among his admirers members of bands like Djambi and Capital Inicial. Flávio, bassist for Capital, was following Nego's performance in a bar in Vila Brasília, two weeks ago. "We always make a sound. But it never works. We end up just drinking," says Nego Blue, the pop star from Ilha do Mel.
