Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Debanjan Bhattacharjee Debanjan Bhattacharjee Debanjan Bhattacharjee is an Indian classical sarod player and composer from Kolkata. A disciple of the renowned Ustad Aashish Khan, he received the President’s Gold Medal Award in 2008 and was nominated for a Global Indian Music Award in 2012. He is a proponent of Indian classical techniques and wishes to share them, both to ensure their continuation and to breathe new life into them. To that end, he teaches music classes in his home and spreads his knowledge to a new generation of younger musicians, while also composing and arranging regional folk songs himself. But far from limiting himself to folk and classical idioms, Debanjan is an avid and experienced collaborator and has participated in musical exchanges with artists ranging from Azerbaijan to Germany, and beyond.

Search Add 2 Pärlfiskarna Pärlfiskarna was a music group in Stockholm, active in the latter half of the 1980s. Among the group's frontmen were singer Henrik Franzén, known from the groups [a291267] and [a1423718], and Mats Theselius, then a pianist and later a well-known furniture designer. Pärlfiskarna played experimental jazz, a mixture of jazz and rock, with elements of Swedish schlager from the 1930s and 1940s. The artistic ambition was high and the lyrics were inspired by both [a1215218] and [a517528]. The group played intensively at art school parties and the like in the Stockholm area, but despite the feverish activity they never achieved any major attention. Henrik Franzén and Mats Theselius were the band's central members and a large number of musicians circulated around them. Conny Nimmersjö, later in Bob hund, was the group's guitarist for a long time. The artist Kalle Berggren played drums in Pärlfiskarna for a period. [a639448] from Cortex and Mobile Whorehouse recorded the single "I'm Just an Ordinary Girl" with the group.

Chłopaki nawiązali współprace z Miejskim Centrum Kultury w Gdyni i wystąpili na „Nowej Scenie w Słupsku” (wraz z m.in.

Search Add 2 Data Koroptev Czech-Slovak experimental music trio. They made their first public appearance in November 2019. Brought together through a commission from Bratislava’s NEXT Festival, three skilled players coming from diverse backgrounds join forces in a collaborative adventure, on a playground that could be described as an “open paradigm”. In an ever-changing flow of musical interactions, virtually any sound including the most obscure seems to be equally likely. Improvisational guitarist Ondrej Zajac creatively spices up his instrument’s possibilities with effects and electronics, while producer and film composer, Ondřej Ježek together with drummer, Václav Šafka bring life to various objects and small tabletop devices. You could call the resulting collection of tracks a truly free and unbounded experimental expression of the 21st century, bearing the form of a fluid electro-acoustic improvisation. Evocative sonic narratives are carefully knit together from surprising motifs, creating an ongoing dialogue of distinct sonic personas. Often unfinished and imperfect, more transformative than ironic, these fragments coexist next to each other informed by the rich histories of their different musical styles: from circuit-bent noise and industrial, to electronica, post rock and even blues. Sometimes an insistent machine logic arises, manifested in repetitive rhythmic loops which eventually dissolve long before they become established. Through restless exploration of unheard sonic territories, the band’s effort looks toward the future revealing a visionary potential, but at the same time keeping the listener always “in the game”, focusing on the present moment. Search Add 2 Vivar Vivar Vivar is a hardcore / punk rock band that seeks to explore the melodies that these genres can offer, not putting aside the aggressiveness and discomfort characteristic of this style of sound. Since 2017 the band has played live compositions of their own, having recorded four of them in an EP released that year. Some say that it sounds like Californian skate punk or the 90's emo and pop punk. The lyrics are in rough English and Portuguese, and brings an social and personal themes. In the "Not the same" album (2020), with nine tracks, the band remains concerned with the melodies and explores the sound aesthetics from different references. The lyrics carry collective experiences and social concerns, but also personal, intimate and subjective issues. They are common themes, as they deal with relationships that touch everyone, sung in English, Portuguese - and a special track in Spanish. The idea is not to bring a superficial notion and make it easier for the ear, but to expose and offer reflections, questions about our possible relationships these days.

Search Add 2 GODSiC Godsic was formed in 2000 as the solo project of Peter Tuthill, former bass player of Dog Faced Gods and current lead singer of Swedish rockers Construcdead. By early 2003, Peter had recorded all of the songs in his living room in Stockholm, Sweden. However, in early 2003, he decided to take the project further and move it into a new phase. Teaming up with Niklas Matsson, drummer of Backdraft, the two began searching for members to complete a full lineup. They found Gebba—also a member of Wounded—who turned out to be the perfect fit to handle one of the guitar duties. The band is now rehearsing the material and is currently looking for an additional guitarist and a bassist. Band Members: Peter Tuthill – Vocals Gebba – Guitar Niklas Matsson – Drums

Search Add 2 Bracode Bracode were pioneers of Sydney, Australia's inner west feminist punk scene. They were fronted on vocals by [a=Zec Zechner], with [a=Rebecca Mayhew] on guitar, [a=Jacquie Besgrove] on bass and Erica Lewis on drums. Active from 1999 to 2009, Bracode were arguably Australia's most fierce all grrrl bands. They issued three releases with '[i]The Sound of Bracode[/i]', a 4-track demo, being their first. Their debut full-length LP '[r=11097313]' was infamously posted to the music industry as 1.5kg of frock wrapped in a 'vegan meat tray', with their final album '[r=11924293]' released in 2006. They shared stages with international artists: [a=Sleater Kinney], [a=The Dresden Dolls], [a=Partyline] (US) feat. seminal riot grrrl pioneer Allison Wolf, and [a=Belters] (Japan), plus riot grrrl band [a=The Haggard] (US). Tipping their fascinators Zec is now in seminal Melbourne post punk favs [a=Plaster of Paris] and a new wave synth band [a=Double Vanity]. Bec Mayhew and Jacqui Besgrove are with legendary rock band [a=Babymachine] ft. Kristy on bass and Trina on drums. Erica is a former drummer for [a=Chicks On Speed] (Germany).

Search Add 2 Christopher Eckart Taking refuge from life as the lead of Canadian band [a=Escape Goats] , as solo , he strums his old guitar, strains to sing on key, and howls in frustration on his harmonica in his attempt to give gut-wrenching twists to worn-out themes like old time religion, tragic love, and death. Ideas are their opposites in the hands of this smartass songcrafter.
