Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Christine Jorgensen | Christine Jorgensen (May 30, 1926 – May 3, 1989) was an American trans woman who was the first person to become widely known in the United States for having sex reassignment surgery. Jorgensen grew up in the Bronx, New York City. Shortly after graduating from high school in 1945, she was drafted into the U.S. Army for World War II. After her service she attended several schools, worked, and around this time heard about transitioning surgery. She traveled to Europe and in Copenhagen, Denmark, obtained special permission to undergo a series of operations starting in 1951. She returned to the United States in the early 1950s and her transformation was the subject of a New York Daily News front page story. She became an instant celebrity, using the platform to advocate for transgender people and became known for her directness and polished wit. She also worked as an actress and nightclub entertainer and recorded several songs

Организатор и художественный руководитель: [a3815478] -------------------------------------- The ethnosphere project brings together outstanding musicians, composers, and folklorists whose work is connected with the ethnic culture of the peoples of Russia. This is not just a Union of famous creative personalities, but a rapidly developing cultural movement that aims to attract the attention of professional musicians, creative youth and all those who care about the fate of Russian culture to the problem of preserving and developing the Russian tradition in new forms of modern music. The genre palette of the project "ethnosphere" is extremely diverse: from acoustic solo instruments, bells and old Russian choral singing to jazz, fusion, pop and electronic compositions. The composition of virtuoso musicians performing within the project is no less diverse.

He was an actor, known for "The United States Steel Hour" (1953) and "Music with a Smile" (1938). He died on October 21, 1964 in New York, New York, USA. Portly, aptly-named dance bandleader of the mid-1930's. In the 1950's, he presided over the 'Brooklyn Dodgers Knot Hole Gang' on TV. The Knot-Hole Gang was a club created by the Brooklyn Dodgers to attract younger fans. It was run by Happy Felton* an ex-vaudeville star. It eventually was featured on a pre-game show for T.V. Happy Felton (a former vaudeville, stage and radio comic actor and musical entertainer) & the members of NYC's most successful little league teams would see professional players utilize their ball playing techniques live on the fields of the Brooklyn Giants, Brooklyn Dodgers and N.Y. Yankees Stadiums. After seeing their heroes play on the fields, the kids were given the chance to play against themselves on the fields and earn the chance to win scholarships for their schools and toy prizes. Plus tickets to upcoming baseball games. "Happy Felton's Knothole Gang" was seen weekday afternoons and on Saturday afternoons on WOR Ch. 9 from Friday, April 21, 1950 until station execs finally closed up Happy Felton's knothole in the ball parks for good on Saturday, August 24, 1957. |

Search | Add | 2 | Denys Irving | Denys Irving | British musician and filmmaker. Irving was born on 4 January 1944 in Colwyn Bay, North Wales, and died on 5 August 1976 aged 32, after he was fatally injured in the maiden flight of a prototype hang glider at Mill Hill, Sussex. As [a1389674] he released 2 albums and 4 singles between 1971 and 1973, and 3 silent 16 mm films in 1969 plus 1 full length film in 1971, viz. the "motorcycle shock film" Exit coproduced with professor Naomi Zack - of which [r2001376] is the soundtrack album. Denys Irving studied at Oxford University (where he became friends with [a123484]), at the London School of Economics and at Columbia University, New York, where he became fascinated by artificial intelligence and developed a marked interest in computers. Using Columbia University's mainframe computer, Irving developed his own programs to produce short computer generated silent films. Also in New York he pioneered projection systems for 'psychedelic' effects, and upon his return to the UK a working partnership with [a2694022] culminated in light shows to accompany performances at the [l720953] in [l338951]. "Regardless of the primitive recordings and the occasional lyrical misogyny, Denis Irving's determined and some may say egotistical music career defined a cornerstone in British music. Proto punk, doom metal, satanic rock, psychedelia, electronica, all fixed genres that were carved from Irving's unique creative flow and single minded energy." Two years after Lucifer's fourth and final single, Irving's fascination for computers and simulated sound structures moved to synthesizers. As a result he worked closely with old friend [a252383] on [r5167640], the soundtrack to a 1977 film directed by Laura Mulvey & Peter Wollen. Having taken an interest in hang gliding in 1976, he would then tragically break his back that very same year having been thrust into a rockface by a strong wind. He left a wife, the actress Merdelle Jordine, and a son, Arthur. In 2012 the English composer [a1725758] released the track "Lucifer's Song (A Passacaglia in Memory of Denys Irving)". Some of Irving's work has been shown at the Tate Gallery in London, and his films are held in the LUX collection of experimental film and video art.. |

Search | Add | 2 | Tomáš Hrubiš | MgA. Tomáš Hrubiš, DiS. | Musician and artist Tomáš Hrubiš (1984) oscillates between a melancholic/psychedelic atmosphere and sometimes expressive expression in his instrumental compositions. He uses a combination of electroacoustic sounds (prepared piano, organ and synthesizer) with overlaps for minimalist, experimental and ambient music. He hermetically wraps his concerts and musical performances into one dynamic story. |

Search | Add | 2 | Sans Corps | Sans Corps is an experimental team of musicians and artists. The idea is to freely traverse different genres and mindscapes in a process of collective psychic automatism. Everything is improvised live on the spot. No advance planning in structure, form, rhythm, melody or words. No second take. No overdubs. This is a one-off. Life is a one-off.
