Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Johnny Regan | recently came across this info On Johnny Regan on a website devoted to Band / Groups from the Potumna, Co. Galway Region Hi Ian you have me stumped on a couple of the lads but left to right they are JJ Lombard from Mallow (Bass)Tony Kirby Clonakilty (Fiddle) The lad in the middle I'm not sure neither the the guy next to him. I'm sure one played trumpet and one sax. next to them on right is Shay Spain Nenagh (Drums) Me Johnny in the Middle then left is Johnny Rush from Thurles (Keyboards) and John O'Brian Dublin Guitar John O'Brian incidentally is a member of Bagatelle and still picking great guitar. Check out the pic!! John Regan cyrusfilms@eircom.net Johnny Regan and The Tumbleweeds was a top English modern country band in the sixties based in London. We worked on American bases throughout Europe. Some of the great country Artists we worked with in those days were. Tammy Wynett, Melba Montgomery, Hank Snow, Hank Locklin, Slim Whitman, Charlie Pride and my great old mate Willie Nelson. Plus many more. Some of my Tumbleweed band members over that period included. Roger Dean (ex John Mayall) Albert Lee (ex Hogan’s heroes, Emmy Lou Harris, and an Emmy winner in his own right) Jerry West (a regular with Slim Whitman on Steel guitar) Johnny Boniface on Drums and (recently with Georgie Fame) Dave Peacock on bass. (Dave is the other half of Chas and Dave a super star act in London. A appearance on the “Life of Riley” TV show in 1969. was watched by Dance hall entrepreneur Con Hynes from @Portumna, Co. Galway He approached me and asked if I would come to Ireland, and form a Show Band. The money and conditions of the contract were great so over I came. I collected a great bunch of musicians JJ Lombard,(Bass) Shay Spain (Drums and driver extraordinaire), Tony Kirby (Fiddle and vocals) Johnny Rush (Keyboards) Senan Drury (Keyboards) John O’Brian (Guitar)Myself on Rhythm guitar, We also had a Steel player who’s name I can’t recollect but often supplemented by that top picker Basil Henriques At the time I was already signed to the Decca record label and had made an album titled “The Tumbleweeds live at the Hitching post” ( Leixlip). However I signed up with Con’s own label “Quality records” and made a number of singles. “ If the world turned into Ashes” “Stand beside me” “Four strong winds” etc. Life in Portumna was a wonderful experience I always knew I would end my days living in Ireland. However my fiancée had other plans and at the death knell of the show band scene we married and took off for Australia. We enjoyed Australia for thirty years, raised two fine boys. I developed a career as a Musician, Actor, and Video Film Maker. Oh how the years fly. So now, here I am back these last three years, living in Barna Galway. I have been working in a three piece pub band called “Top Form” Ronnie Mangan ex Indians on drums and Noel Keane (Sean’s brother on Bass) I had to leave Top form after a heart operation. However now I’m fully recovered, and as fit as a Mally Bull (Aussie _expression) and am the producer/Director of my own Video production Company “Cyrus Films International” I still love to sing and play guitar and tenor sax. I am on the lookout for another band to join... If you have any contacts with any of the musicians I have mentioned here I would love to catch up with them again and chat over old times. |Perhaps somebody out there knows some of them. | Search | Add | 3 | Bard Hoff | Colorado based guitarist Bard Hoff has spent his career trying to find the middle ground between Keith Richards and Joe Pass. On one side is the rocker, adorned with tattoos, wanting to play loud. On the other is the jazz man, always cool as he picks his way through the standards. Hoff is the happiest when he can be both, which is what the audience at Elliot's can expect Saturday when Hoff appears with his trio. "Elliot's is the hippest place we play," said Hoff, who grew up on Fort Collins, the son of Hollis Bard Hoff, the radio voice of the Colorado State University football and basketball teams in the 1960s. "We can play anything -- Al Green, Jimi Hendrix, Sly and the Family Stone. We'll get people in there asking for Charlie Parker. Then Clinton, the bartendar, won't let us leave until we play Little Wing and Third Stone Fron the Sun." H off began his musical pursuits as a child, first playing the guitar when he was 10. It wasn't until a few years later, though, when the Beatles first emerged from England, that he considered music as a profession. "Anyone from my generation who plays guitar and says they weren't influenced by teh Beatles is lying," Hoff said. Of course, his first influences were rock musicians. But there came a time when Hoff decided to explore music, listening to and studying different styles. "It's when you open yourself up to music that you start hearing the jazz and the great country players," Hoff siad. "that's when you take the big head-long dash into it!" By the time Hoff turned 14, he'd mad e the decision to pursue music professionally. And he has continued that pursuit ever since. "If I was a teen-ager in New York or on the East Coast somewhere, I could have probably started playing a few gigs and worked my way into some studio time," Hoff said. "But let's be realistic. We're 40 miles from Wyoming here. When I was 13 or 14, I had to make my mind up that that's what I wanted to do." Hi sprofessional career has led Hoff around the world. He's performed on cruise ships and on tours throughout Europe. He has recorded with a variety of groups. And for the first time this year, Hoff released a CD as a solo project -- "Earthquake Weather," available through hapi Skratch Records. The CD is a seven-track collection of mostly original songs written by Hoff and his son, Devin Hoff, a professional bassist. "Devin took to music like a duck to water," Hoff said of his son. "He had some great educators here. The music education in the schools here is fantastic." Devin even joined Hoff on a tour of Europe, where the two learned first-hand the importance of music and art in European cultures. "Traveling to Europe is a real wake-up call," Hoff said. "They put such an emphasis on the arts." When not traveling, Hoff plays somewhat regularly around Fort Collins, including shows at Elliot's and occasional appearances at the Moot House. But those who have seen Hoff only at the Moot House haven't seen the true Bard Hoff Trio. "We have to scale back our show, because we're playing while people are eating," he said. "We don't want to get too heavy into it while they're enjoying their dinners." The Elliot's show promises to be a much harder-hitting version, Hoff syas. "At Elliot's, they see the real Bard Hoff Trio," he said. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Maki Polne | Michal Kowalczyk | Born and raised in Poznan, Poland. The close neighborhood of Berlin had a strong influence on his music education and helped to develop the one passion that continues to guide Maki through his life - the love for quality sound. But it's in his hometown where besides running radio shows, organizing his first events and beginning to DJ and collect music, he graduated the highly acclaimed studies in acoustics - Audio Engineering at the Adam Mickiewicz University. Studying in Winter, during Summer time the love to party would bring him to Ibiza where he experienced first hand the rise of contemporary minimal style. A pair of own technics and a first record bag followed. His devotion to music and sound wouldn't go unattended, soon after he was playing for Zoo Project, Privilage and many bars, boat and after parties around the island. The longtime passion for electronic music led Maki to settle down in Berlin. For some years he organized a successful monthly "MySundays" event series at now dysfunct KaterHolzig. More recently he got the chance to throw some parties at infamous Club der Visionaere and these days Maki is clubs regular. He can be found there, hosting numerous nights or by one of many surprise after party appearances. Having played in both, major clubs and more intimate venues, Maki has developed a unique style. Difficult to encapsulate in one genre, his focus is to create a moment and a story, following the mood of the party rather than classifications. When not in the club, Maki spends most of his time in the studio and is currently breaking through as a highly crafted producer. With releases on labels like VinylClub, Melisma and Amaniel, expect lots more to come soon! |

| Search | Add | 3 | Stephen Rey | American singer/songwriter, guitarist and bassist. Works mostly in the Americana/roots genre, his music blending elements of rock & roll, blues, country, honky tonk, and southern swamp. Has played with a number of artists as well as fronting his own acts and releasing works under his own name and as Stephen El Rey. Stephen Rey was born in Victorville, California. When he was three his family moved to San Diego, where he grew up mostly in the suburb of Lakeside. He attributes much of his musical influence to time spent on his grandparents' ranch in El Centro. He got into punk rock, started playing in bands at age fourteen, and at seventeen spent time busking in San Francisco and Berkeley. After some demo recordings funded by major labels, in 1998 he obtained a publishing deal with Warner Chappell as a songwriter; some of his songs appeared in movies and documentaries. However, he put this venture aside to focus on his growing family. In the 2000s he began performing as a side man in local San Diego acts, playing bass in Operator X and Lady Dottie & The Diamonds. He fronted his own group, Stephen Rey & The Slicks, with drummer Brian Cantrell (Operator X, Lady Dottie & The Diamonds), guitarist Mike Butler, and bassist Ryan Sinn (ex-[a=The Distillers] and [a=Angels & Airwaves]). They released the album Old Fashioned Future in 2011. The following year he put together a stripped-down version of this act called Stephen Rey And The Sextrash, with Nathan Beale (Lady Dottie & The Diamonds, ex-[a=Dirty Sweet]) on guitar and Tim Lowman ([a=Low Volts]) on percussion. Over the next few years he played bass with [a=Bartender's Bible], [a=Mad Juana], [a=Diablo Dimes], [a=John Reis], [a=El Vez], [a=The Schizophonics], and [a=The Little Richards]. Joining the Johnny Cash tribute band Cash’d Out, he began playing original material as an opening act on tour. This led him to record and release music under the name Stephen El Rey, including the self-released Stephen El Rey Sextet EP, (2016), the Poor Born EP (2017, on Pig Baby Records), and the Memphis Sessions LP (2019, Pig Baby), along with several digital singles. In 2020 he formed the avant-garde "21st century duet" Tormenta Rey with [a=Leilainia Marcus] (aka Leilainia Lovelight), in which they perform original compositions and obscure songs from the 1920s and 1930s, with Rey playing guitar and singing and Lovelight playing trumpet and performing theatrical dance. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Aleksandr Shuniborov | Aleksandr Shuniborov | Shuniborov and music are inseparably connected since childhood. Playing his parents' tapes and vinyl collections on repeat, he would beg with tears to turn Yury Antonov's 'Moonlight way' on. And then he would break into a dance absorbing the rhythm and dynamics of the piece. ABBA, Boney-M, Michael Jackson, the Army of Lovers, the Beatles and other wonderful records were unfolding for him as he was growing up. Aleks's dad worked as a truck driver and he went on trips far abroad. You may guess how lucky Aleks was to have access to the world of music. This changed his life significantly. The 90's were not the easiest time for Belarus, just as for any other post Soviet country. And he was the one with Pringles, and records from the mysterious abroad. Dad kept buying all the new musical stuff to brighten his long way home. But as soon as he reached home all the tapes found their place on Aleks's shelves. Shuniborov's first DJ experience happened at the age of 14. He practised at house parties after school where school mates were getting addicted to apparently not only music. The school graduation party was a great event at his teen age. Then until his 23 he was continually looking for his own ways of self-expressiin in electronic music. He began to understand rather clearly what he wanted and needed for his favourite activity. Nothing was possible without equipment, skills of making textures, mixing them and producing. 'Music is my best friend, the beloved wife and child. There're no unpleasant sounds, no bad music. My greatest fear is to lose the ability of comprehending sounds, to stop feeling the bit of dynamics, to forget how to mix sounds and enjoy them. That sound like the end of me and for me. ' Shuniborov keeps his mind open. Experimenting, searching for' incorrect' mixes, state-of-the-art dynamics of the tapes filled with complex combinations are born in his studio. Aleks has preserved his internal child not setting boundaries to his freedom at the same time. |
