Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | KP Devlin | At the age of five when his parents took him to see a Pete Seeger/Arlo Guthrie concert, KP Devlin’s interest in music took root. His interest grew as he began to write poetry and while in college in New York in the early 90’s got his first guitar. Revering Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits, he started to write his own songs and began performing live in NYC. His first CD, Spirit of the Mule, came out in 1995. Since then he has toured the US and Australia and has received airplay in those countries as well as in Belgium, Holland, Costa Rica and other parts of the globe. In early 2014 he released his 9th CD, entitled Violescent. Of his work, listeners have said that it’s "eclectic, always compelling." He uses words not only for their meaning but because of the way they sound, completely stripped of meaning. Devlin strives to follow his own mystical vision and shies away from being constrained to one particular genre. As he says, "I just know that I hear music in my head and each record I make gets closer to sounding like that." In Violescent, to satisfy his fascination with ethnic music as well as early music, Devlin blends the two by his use of uilleann pipes, tin whistle, hurdy gurdy, viola da gamba and krumhorns. The result is distinctly Irish with a flavor of the renaissance. At the same time, he incorporates upright bass, drums and electric guitars to produce more of a rock context. In earlier recordings, he embraces a wide variety of ethnic music and instruments including Mexican (trumpets), Indian (sitar), Middle Eastern (oud), Chinese (erhu) and Greek (bouzouki). Accompanying him on Violescent are many fine musicians including Eric Bazilian (the Hooters, Joan Osborne) and Sammy Merendino (Cyndi Lauper). From that first inspiration when he was five years old, he has honed and continues to sharpen his musical sense into what is distinctly Devlin. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Under A Black Sun | Under a Black Sun is a dark, experimental musical project that came to fruition in the fall of 2005. "Descend as Wolves" was the first of several obscurely, self-released albums that have come into existence. While the music typically consists of incessant, repetitous guitar chords strummed amidst a wall of hauntically evocative noise-scapes, the lyrics deal with recurrent themes of existential darkness, contemplative nihilism/nihility, as well as a seemingly ever unfolding occult philosophy. Bordering somewhere between neo-folk, experimental ambient and ritual noise, Under a Black Sun still manages to stand alone as a pioneer of a uniquely dark, personal and uncompromising musical niche. | |

The hospital was again re - named the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in 1997, after the South African Communist Party leader who was assassinated in 1993. It is the largest hospital in Africa with nearly 7000 staff members and more than two thousand patients check into the hospital's specialised clinics and out-patient departments daily. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Duo Leon - Rios | Folk group officially formed on February 5, 1955 by David León Libuy and Juan Olivares Ríos in the city of Viña del Mar, although temporarily baptized with the name of Los Tempraneros. David León and his great friend Juan Olivares were born in 1938. David sang the second voice and played the harp, while Juan was the first voice and guitar. They were mainly good friends since childhood, beginning to play together from the age of eleven. Its history stretched into the late '90s. Its members are: Juan Olivares Ríos, first voice and guitar and David León Libuy, harp and second voice The collective album Cuecas de la ramada oficial from 1970, where they participated with other musicians from the Valparaíso region, presents them like this: “David León and Juan Ríos, were born into artistic life in February 1955, under the friendly eaves of Rancho Criollo from Viña del Mar, from where they set off on a tour across the country. In 1958, they had the opportunity to perform in Goyescas, now disappeared, for 45 days. Later they made various tours throughout the country and on two occasions, to Peru and Argentina”. As that record, released by the Phllips label in 1971, says, the ensemble of the two friends from Viña Marta was forged fundamentally live. In 1971 they qualified in the folkloric competition of the XII Viña del Mar Song Festival with the tune “Espigas para un recuerdo”, winning in the category of Best Performer. The same year they participated in the Huaso de Olmué Festival and won the Guinda Festival with “Tonada en la noche”. It was then that they finally recorded their own album, the LP edited by Phillips Dúo León-Ríos. The presentation of the album, written by the director of Radio Porteña Jaime Atenas (father of the Congreso saxophonist) thus describes its history and the delay in registering its songs, according to the transcription of the Cuecas Chilean Recording Songbook site. “The León-Ríos duo was not formed or made for a Song Festival. I met them more than 15 years ago, when they were still wearing shorts, but I also met them with their harp and guitar and their tremendous love for Chilean folklore, I know them well and I know of their many pilgrimages to show their art and only 1971 comes to be a year of effective achievements. Maybe you don't know them, despite their many important performances: Tour with Chile Laughs and Canta, Festival de la Inda, in Olmué, Casino Municipal and especially in a nightclub in Viña del Mar, where they spent more than six years waiting for the hour… and the hour arrived”. In 1972 they qualified again at the Viña Festival with "Pa' no soñarte", and although their musical profession was displaced several times by other activities, they remained active until the '90s. They traveled to unusual destinations, such as Dubai or Toronto, performing before the Chilean colonies, and in 1987 they returned to the Viña del Mar Festival accompanying the singer Tito Manríquez. Juan Olivares passed away in 2011 and David León Libuy passed away on February 18, 2016. His remains rest in the Parque Jardín del Mar Cemetery. Viña del Mar, Chile | |

| Search | Add | 3 | B-Funky | Ruud Boon | Back in the mid-eighties, when house music evolved to a massive genre, B-Funky got hooked on the elevating, energetic and funky records spinned by DJ’s in trendsetting venues around the globe. Instantly, B-Funky realized all he needed to arouse a crowd were 2 turntables, a mixer and an impressive collections of funky house vinyls. Born in Beverwijk, near Amsterdam, B-Funky was close to the beating heart of house-music. This is the place where B-Funky grows out to be a well skilled DJ: constantly on a mission to create an inspiring fusion of uplifting beats an funky house sounds. B-Funky: “It’s indeed a blessing and of course a pleasure to spin the decks in Holland’s hottest clubs that brought the international house-scene so many amazing talents”. Back in 2010, while still active as a DJ, B-Funky started producing his own funky house tracks. The Sound of Ibiza Records signed B-Funky in 2012. After the first release on this label (Sekunda, 2012) B-Funky got invitated by Giel Beelen, one of the leading DJ’s of the national radio station 3FM. B-Funky mixed a live set during Giel's radioshow “Nachtegiel”. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Mery's Key | Mery's Key are an unlikely duo of female voice & bass guitar masquerading as pop music. Imagine how Newton Faulkner brought alternative guitar playing styles into pop music, but with a bass guitar instead and a female singer in the vein of Natalie Imbruglia or Natasha Bedingfield. Singer Mery Bertòs and bassist Kevin Reginald Cooke formed the duo at the beginning of 2021 and debuted at the G.Modena Theatre in Palmanova, hand-picked to provide musical entertainment during the life-time career award presentation for Italian journalist Enrico Mentana, and have since begun a collaboration with producer Matthew Parisi (Shayne Ward, Luna Blue, Nobody's Wolf Child) to fulfil their vision of being able to build songs from the bass and vocals up in such a way that the music can be appreciated far beyond the audience of their niche. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Dan Grain | Danny de Graan | Although Danny de Graan (AKA Dan Grain) worked and still works in the contemporary art music scene as a composer, his career started in the early 90's in the dance scene. As one of the producers of the group Cyberlab, he released several EP's and performed in the Netherlands and Germany, sharing the stage with artists like Yves de Ruiter, Sven Vath and Paul van Dyk e.a.. Music studies at the University of Amsterdam and Portsmouth England and later at the Rotterdam Conservatory, kept him from pursuing a career in the dance scene. Yet, he retained a strong feeling of connection to the music, especially to groovy, atmospheric, dark and melodic techno and house. Working as a contemporary art music composer he has written many compositions for all kinds of settings ranging from small and large ensembles, vocalists, (microtonal) organ, harpsichord, pan flute and much more. Recent work consists of a mini opera about Facebook and a composition for feedback only controlled by 4 players and a computer. In 2003, Danny de Graan remixed the classic "O Superman" by Lauri Anderson for the infamous record label Staalplaat. That was the impulse that reignited his interest in dance music. In 2008, he made a demo which received great responses from Dave Clark, among others, and motivated him to start producing again. Danny draws his inspiration from many genres, ranging from Dance, Jazz, Folk, Rock, Pop and Classical music. His solo debut was on Eevonext records with his track The Run. His first EP Happy Accidents will be released beginning 2012. Since 2011 Dan Grain started the producers duo DAN9ER together with Gerard Snippe (AKA 9ER). Their debut is on aDepth Audio with the sampler Emerging Elements (limited edition coloured vinyl) |

| Search | Add | 3 | George Kamel | Nashville-based, Boston-bred artist George Kamel is no stranger to the world of songwriting. He released two albums in the past five years, one as part of Boston-based folk outfit “Meadowlarks” and another under the pseudonym, Lapsley. But a three-year stint in the city of Mobile, Alabama would force Kamel to reevaluate his identity as a songwriter. "You grow up real fast when you move 1,500 miles away from home to a place you're not familiar with and people you don't know...you're out of your element and things kinda hit you differently..." said Kamel. After countless open-mics and coffee shop shows, Kamel met an emerging producer named Matt Baker and decided to bring his songs to life in the studio with his latest release, The Great Coward. Kamel believes that The Great Coward represents a significant season of personal growth. "I think the songs come from this place of wanting to escape the cynicism that I've been in for so many years now" he said. "It's not necessarily that I've figured it all out-or that I have all the answers-but I've found the path that I want to go and it's time for me to grow up and pursue that." Drawing influences from Bon Iver, Avett Brothers and David Bazan, Kamel effectively unites the ethereal and earthly using an impressive array of folk instrumentation, while guiding the listener through haunting seasons of beauty and pain. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Acero Negro | Acero Negro is considered the most iconic hard rock and 80's heavy metal style band from Lleida, settled in the western province of Catalonia, in Spain, since their early origins in 1986 until their last gig in November 2015. They were formed in the middle of 1985 after the guitar player Alberto Monsonís "Berto" left the band Lev3 to found the seminal Tealakian with Tomás Carmona (drums) and Agustín "Angus" Lara (bass). Soon, the singer Juan Yeste joined the band, also playing guitar and later on bass as soon as Lara left the already renamed Acero Negro. They become a quartet with quite a good projection around Catalonia and Aragon throughout their concerts around, until in 1992 they released their first demo "Acero Negro" with Diego Pelegrí (guitar) and Xaba Badía (drums). After some hiatus and lineup changes (Ramón Ramos, Oriol Cornet, Juan León, Carlos Capilla) in 2003 Acero Negro reunited as a quintet (with a new bass player, Josep Mª Lasierra "Lasi") and two years later they released their first studio album "20 Años y Muchas Noches Más", winning first prize in the Pepe Marín Rock contest and taking part in the national festival Senglar Rock 2005 edition. As opening band for other important groups such as Sepultura, Saxon, Gama Ray , Barón Rojo, Los Suaves, Soziedad Alkoholika or Su Ta Gar, Acero Negro have gained respect and consideration from other new and settled bands from Lleida. Their last record "Mi Motor" released in 2014 became also their final farewell when soon after a concert in Sala Oh Yeah they disbanded, with Yeste becoming a professional photographer full time, Lasi involving with the Mister Jones and Pelegrí leaving apart from music. Eventually, Montsonís joined the metal band Blindpoint. | |
