Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025

Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 DJ Вург Eugene Rudin (Евгений Рудин) Spelled on album's cover as DJ вурГ, this was an alter-ego of [a547453], used on his 2003 Techno album "Зеркало". The artist called this release his "reflection in techno music", for this reason he "reflected" his artist name. At the time the artist established his main alias [a547453] as a "commercial" electronic artist & remixer of pop/rock songs, so he didn't want to shock his numerous pop fans with this experimental underground sound.

Search Add 3 Aisha Eisa Aisha Eisa, alias AE, is a singer, record producer, actress, dancer and visual artist. This enterprising artist recently signed with the Vienna indie label, Urban Legends Records, which specializes in soul, hip hop and electronic music. Her in-house produced debut album Starchild was released on July 18, 2015. AE was responsible for everything for this album: from the composition of the songs including texts and vocals to the visual design and video production. In addition to an in-depth study acting at the Bruckner University in Linz, the young artist took lessons in singing, public speaking, music theory, piano and guitar. After that, she completed a three-year dance training, resulting in engagements at the Landestheater in Linz and Berlin. She later immersed herself in the independent film sector. AE produced her first artistic videos and short films. At the age of 19, AE moved to Vienna to study theater and musicals. In addition to her acting work in various theater projects, she had already dedicated herself in full to music. She studied classical singing and began to compose her own songs. During this time, AE met and began cooperation with the cooperation with the brilliant music producer, Wolfgang Schlögl alias I-Wolf, the founding member of the Sofa Surfers. Through this cooperation, AE also meets fellow singer and label owner, Nomadee. As I-Wolf & The Chain Reactions together with AE release two albums on the successful indie label, Seayou Records and playing numerous gigs at home and abroad., AE continues to work in parallel on her own album, working with various musicians such as Tosca, Lee Scratch Perry or Markus Kienzl. AE worked in cooperation with numerous musicians over a period of three years to fine tune the subtleties of the album. The musical spectrum ranges from breakbeats, soul and jazz elements to classical instruments such as piano, violin and harp and includes beatbox.

"Flu" recorded and independently released two solid yet obscure albums, "Fish With Necks" and "Peculiar" (both now rare and hard to find). After their two long plays as "Flu", they changed their name to [a3111954], signed a deal with Sony BMG and released a third album [m1431216] in 2004. That band broke up soon after and Jason Darr went on to form [a755761].

Search Add 3 Blackguy Blackguy spent his youth in the streets of north side Omaha. The St. Joseph, Missouri born rapper moved to Omaha, Nebraska at the age of eight. In 1991, he ran into producer L-Mac-N and has been dropping rhymes over hot hip-hop instrumentals, honing his clever lyrics and street knowledge over whatever style of beat thrown his way. Blackguy is a veteran rapper who established a name for himself in 1997 as member of the group Full Clip. The debut album entitled “Stuck In The Game” (distributed by ichiban) became an underground classic and Blackguy was an immediate standout. His distinctive style, articulate delivery and his humorous but hard-hitting wordplay has always set him apart. Even now he is one of the most under-rated MC’s in the Midwest region. His current independent album “Think About It” is being released by StatusOne Recordings through Black Smack Records; a label founded by Blackguy and long time friend and producer L-Mac-N. In 1998 Full Clip’s second release “Late Night”, hit the underground market but unfortunately Ichiban; the company responsible for the groups distribution, filed for bankruptcy. Just one year later Blackguy made the decision to release a compilation album with Shonuff Records entitled “Back Stage Pass” followed up with his first solo album “All About Me”. As Blackguy’s entrepreneurial spirit continues to thrive Black Smack Records will release remixed versions of all Blackguy’s independent label work as well as more albums and compilations from Omaha’s finest.

Meanwhile, despite his young age, the young Huelva-born musician has played in theaters and festivals around the world, including the Flamenco Festival in New York and Chicago (USA), Qatar National Theater of Doha (Doha, Qatar), Teatro Masrah al Madina (Beirut, Lebanon), Maestranza Theater (Seville), BPC Theater (Boston, USA), Roulette Theater of Brooklyn (New York USA) Festival del Cante de las Minas (La Unión, Murcia, Birzeit University (Birzeit, Palestine) ), Boston Performance Center (Boston, USA), Baruch Concert Hall (Haifa, Palestine / Israel), Asunción Jazz Festival (Asunción, Paraguay), Cantabria Jazz Festival (Spain) Regarding his training, it should be noted that he has studied classical piano, in Huelva, Seville, and at the Conservatoire De Boulogne Billancourt (Paris, France), Baroque Organ and early music with the organist Andrés Cea. He studies jazz in a self-taught way, and later at the prestigious Berklee College of Music (Boston, USA) graduating in jazz piano and composition with the qualification "Summa Cum Laude", the highest qualification granted by American universities. Search Add 3 Stephanie Brickey Saint Louis, Missouri Stephanie Brickey: vocals. acoustic guitar, national guitar. Dave Brickey: bass and backing vocals. Gary Hunt: electric guitars, mandolin, dobro. Jack Petracek: drums. Successfully mixing modern folk lyricism with straight-ahead pop/rock arrangements and an Americana sensibility, Stephanie Brickey has come up with a distinct sound of her own. She calls on her diverse musical influences to embellish the traditional folk song and to keep the crowd moving with timeless, stand-out rock performances. Brickey has the ability to grind out a crowd-pleasing, high-octane rocker and then follow it with an irresistible lullaby so hauntingly beautiful it may leave you in tears. Brickey’s vocals complement the songs in a way that seems to accentuate the instrumental accompaniment rather than overshadow it, with a voice that’s somewhere between Margo Timmins and Linda Thompson. Brickey has been highly visible on the St. Louis music scene for some time performing as solo artist, as a member of SLIM (along with Lynn Reif and Mary Alice Wood) and as the frontperson for A Room Away. Stephanie Brickey’s sound is infectious and unique. Her songs are timeless, smart and alluring.
