Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Jeff Blakely | Jeff Blakely | Hailing from the dark and dank streets of Detroit comes the often mentioned yet rarely seen, Detroit electronic music producer The Madd Roller AKA Dr. JiFFY. In the Roller’s early years he began experimenting with electronic music in a rare MOD format. The songs were heard by members of the underground industry and Dr. JiFFY was spawned. Years later he became the Vice President of the well-known and highly respected Detroit label, Electrofunk Records. Electrofunk Records was at its peek in ‘97 when The Madd Roller, then dubbed Dr. JiFFY, joined the forces of Mr. De’ and DJ Assault. It wasn’t until now that the often mentioned, rarely seen, Madd Roller has decided to rise into the lights. In a recent tour in The UK, during the EF Live tour, The Madd Roller stomped the crowed with immense beats and rhythms. Shortly after the UK tour The Madd Roller went into the studio with other great Detroit artists such as DJ Godfather and Mr. De’ to produce some deeply laced tracks to be released in succession throughout 2004. |

Search | Add | 4 | Broken Seals | Alternative rock band from Thessaloniki , Greece, that formed in 1997.

Search | Add | 4 | Charles Gorczynski | Minneapolis-based composer and producer Charles Gorczynski creates future-driven and emotionally resonant music. He is involved in contemporary chamber music, new tango, improvised music, and electronic production. His writing embraces our increasingly anti-genre new music world and freely cultivates a new sound, one with equal parts deep reverence for cultural traditions and brazen new compositional work. “A force in modern sound design…” - Jazz Times Charles is also a professional bandoneonist and saxophonist. He has worked as an instrumentalist for a decade in the jazz and improvised music circles in Chicago, and a decade working in both contemporary and traditional tango ensembles in San Francisco: spearheading projects, collaborating with like minds, and organizing 100+ performances annually. His bands Redwood Tango Ensemble and Colorlist have toured extensively, performing widely in North America and Europe. His compositions have been premiered with Chamber Music Northwest Festival and Intermusic SF, where he was twice awarded the MGP grant commissioning new work for chamber ensemble. As a producer, Charles creates free-form electronic music under the name IVYASA, cultivating a video series and collaborations. “Lovely contrapuntal melodies and kaleidoscopic harmonic explorations… gorgeous music that brings to mind the serene aesthetic of ECM records” - Chicago Reader

Search | Add | 4 | D.J. Detweiler | Part-human part-meme, DJ Detweiler is an enigmatic character made of musical parody, cultural collage and a splendid collection of rare mp3s. As an artist he explores the limits of life online; from self-fulfilling prophecies, creating and destroying genres and ideas, to creative ways of copyright criticism. As a Dj works against anticipation and boredom in the dancefloor, breaking any rule established in the art of djing. As a label co-owner he takes an excited and unrestrained approach to his projects. More importantly, as an internet persona he has breathed childlike humour into an online world that is increasingly dark and cynical. "a world where we can’t have a “flutedrop” remix of John Cage is not one we want to live in" - Ben Davis (Artnet) -

Search | Add | 4 | Lyr-x-ist | In 2003 Kalo/Are-tistik returned to Saskatoon to form the group Lyr-x-st with Atrium and Aposle. It happened on David Knight Cresent, outside of Atriums house, near his cucumber fields. Lyr-x-ist released it first cd entitled Lyriks Exist in November 2003, creating a buzz around the city for its unique sound. Lyr-x-ist headlined various events and venues around Saskatoon such as the Odeon Events Centre and the Jazz Basement. Lyr-x-ist first public performance was headlining a fashion show. In August 2004, Lyr-x-ist released its first professionally pressed sophomore album entitled The Krossing. Lyr-x-ist released the album to a capacity crowd at the Odeon Events Centre in March 2005. Opening for Lyr-X-ist was ‘Dro’ of Canadian rap group ‘Rezofficial’. To date this show remains one of the largest local talent hiphop shows in Saskatchewan history, and made the Odeon a respectable hiphop venue. In the summer of 2005, Are-tis-tik, Atrium and Aposle, moved to Calgary to record their third studio album. Within 30 days they had recorded 32 songs. In August 2005, they released half of these songs on Chapter one: Riders of the North. This album received critical acclaim and international recognition in German magazines, being compared to fellow Canadian recording artists Swollen Members. Lyr-x-ist performed several shows in Saskatoon to promote the album at the Odeon Events Centre and Jazz Basement. Chapter 2 was released digitally. The Final Chapter is completed and we hope to release it sometime.

"I'll Live On" was the original A side and "Someone Tell Her" was the B side, though Northern Soul fans later chose to reverse those choices. The songs were recorded twice. The single came from their October 10, 1967 session, which also included four gospel songs. The sessions were held at 919 Studios, at 919 North Road Street in Philadelphia. Search | Add | 4 | Throwing Aces! | TA! was a hardcore band from Pittsfield, MA (USA) that was active between 2007-2009. The band was originally formed by vocalist [a8076606] (Born Into Hate, [a8071845]) and bassist [a8141939] ([a8087763]). The two found themselves without active bands and when they met up at a local show they laid the groundwork for a new project. They then recruited guitarist [a8076604] a.k.a. The Deze (Aisle-4, Born Into Hate) and drummer [a8147618] (Born Into Hate, [a8072037], [a72641]) to round out the quartet. Tentatively using the name Shut The Fuck Up (STFU) they began rehearsals and writing new songs, including an instrumental version of an old Born Into Hate song. After a while they fell into a hiatus. It didn't take long for Jay, C.J. and The Deze to reform the band along with a new drummer [a8141940] ([a5526224]) and a new name. However, after their first show, The Deze left the band for family obligations and the band was able to secure a new guitarist in [a3300694] ([a8087763], [a8136181], [a5526224], [a8140876]) cementing what would become TA!'s core line-up. There was a brief time when Steve left the band due to personal reasons and was replaced by Long Island, NY transplant and punk rocker, [a8149320] ([a2749802]). and occasionally C.J. would move over to guitar and the bassist position would be filled in by friends of the band such as Bryan Larkin (Zombie Assault) and [a10847353] (Born Into Hate, [a8071845]). And there was another show where [a8138132] ([a8136181]) filled in on guitar for the night. With a set line-up the band began building a name and reputation by ripping through shows in Western Massachusetts and Upstate New York. They also recorded a demo, but it was never finished as the recordings were lost by the engineer. However, the band had a CDr of the rough mixes and made 6 of the 7 tracks available on the band's MySpace page. TA! kept pushing forward and signed to [l824807]. Things looked promising for the band as they were set to record an EP and on June 5th, 2009 they met with [a257226] at [l319173] in Troy, NY before that night headlining a DemonSeed Records Showcase also in Troy. That show also saw the return of The Deze to the active line-up after joining the band onstage for a pair of songs at a previous show. Unfortunately, as members of the band had other contending commitments TA! began dissolving quickly after that playing just one more basement show. They went away quietly and without much of a bang. The Don Fury sessions never happened. The EP was never recorded and their remaining shows were all cancelled. Eventually in 2014 the Unfinished Demo was released with all 7 tracks on a split CDr release with [a8071845] but It was a limited quantity and is not very easy to locate. And on Saturday, May 6th, 2017 the band was set to play a reunion show in their hometown with good friend [a8147938] ([a8139993]) handling the drum duties. Again, Unfortunately, after a few practices the band had to drop from the show. Some of the guys would go on to play in other bands and release some great music. C.J. went on to play in [a3876085], [a3195850] and was in the first line-up of [a6245235]. He would move to Kansas City, MO and play with a band called Choppin' Block. Steve moved to Boston, MA and plays in metal band [a5893154]. Johnny would also play in [a3876085] and continues to play with new projects from time to time. Kane has put out numerous releases, both solo and in other bands, but most notably with [a8021600], [a3996313], [a3876085], [a3591026], [a2768371], [a7019037] and [a4437079].

Search | Add | 4 | The Nace Bros. Band | US country music band based in Kansas City, Missouri, headed by brothers [a=Jimmy Nace] and [a=David Nace]. Fourth generation performers their musical heritage began in the latter part of the 19th century with their great-great grandfather the classically trained violinist Valandingham Nace. The legacy continued in the 1920’s and 30’s with their grandfather Percy a multi-instrumentalist and square dance caller. By the late 40’s their father was playing box suppers and square dances. Johnny Nace progressed from playing rural dances to leading the house bands on the regional radio and television programs “Hillbilly Jamboree” and “Circle Six Ranch”. He recorded rockabilly in the late 50’s before finding his musical home during the golden age of honky-tonk. An astute songwriter he led a top notch band to regional success with songs like “Sing me the blues” and “Blue Notes”. Their 1997 release “Roots of Steel” is a tribute to their father and the lessons he taught them. In their 37th year as a touring group the Nace Brothers are poised for a larger audience.

His compositions can only be described as an eclectic mix of electronica, hip hop and ambient styles layered upon an urban landscape. Along with founding the "The Hip Hop Project" at Loyola University Chicago's radio station WLUW 88.7 FM, Brother El has cultivated musical collaborations with various artists including Chicago rap group Earatik Statik. In addition, Brother El shared his journey through chaos with the release of the solo album “Through the Cracks of Concrete”. His award winning album threads the inspirations and voices of African diaspora, past and present while showcasing his individual technique capturing the sighs of Chicago's elevated trains and pavement pounds despite the cracks. A native of Chicago, Brother El is CEO of The Beat Bank, an independent record label and production studio focusing on artist development and quality productions over quantity and trend. |

Search | Add | 4 | Ugly Bluz | Swiss rock-jazz group. Established in 1984 as a blues duo by vocalist and blues harp player [a=Sleepy Dan] with the Czech guitarist [a=Lukáš Machata]. Initially performed mostly blues cover versions as “The Ugly Blues Connection” with guest players. Merged with the parallel jazz-rock project “Rat Tomago” in Autumn 1985, becoming “Ugly Bluz Connected” and resulting in a gradual style shift to free funk and ‘punk-jazz’. Adopted an unusual group naming scheme in early 1986: the attribute “…ected” was changed for every individual live performance or release, often being a commentary of the respective event. Among these names were: Ugly Bluz Injected, Erected, Intellected, Selected, Suspected, Infected, and many more (see ANVs). Disbanded in October 1988. Members: Daniel “Sleepy Dan” Boemle (vocals, blues harp, trombone), Lukáš Machata (guitar, vocals), Joel Kaiser (bass guitar), Roman Gondolán (drums, 1984–1985), Martin Pensa (keyboards, 1985), Christian Wolfarth (drums, 1985), Gitta Kahle (tenor saxophone, 1985–1986), Therese Allemann (alto & soprano saxophone, 1986), Andi Hug (drums, 1986–1988), Christian Brantschen (keyboards, 1986–1988), Tinu Schneider (trumpet, 1986–1988), Christian Germann (tenor saxophone, 1986–1988).
