Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Shady Stevens | On January 1, 1968 two trains collided in Dunreith, Indiana about 40 miles east of Indianapolis. In the aftermath of the wreck, local singer Shady Stevens whipped up a tune called The Dunreith Accident The result of a broken rail, the wreck derailed 26 cars and caused a hydrogen cyanide spill. Another car, carrying anhydrous ammonia, exploded resulting in flames shooting 100 feet into the air. The fire spread to a trackside cannery and a nearby liquid fertilizer storage tank, which exploded blowing up hundreds of cans of tomatoes which looked like blood spots on nearby patches of snow. Along with the cannery, seven local houses were destroyed by the explosion, but amazingly there were no deaths.

Search | Add | 4 | Swansong for a Raven | Swansong for a Raven (SfaR) started during summer 2007, created by Julien on bass and Estelle on vocals. They wanted SfaR to have a very strong visual identity. In december 2008, the promo video for the song Baby Goth Metal was shot. It was a reference to all the styles which used to influence the band back then. The first autoproduced EP « Secret » has been released in february 2009 and was featuring this video. After that, SfaR started to forge its name on the local scene, and played with the Japanese band Anli Pollicino at the Grillen in Colmar, and also at the 2010 Artefacts festival which took place at La Laiterie in Strasbourg. On the 1st of July 2011, the band released their first album « Love, Darkness and Decadence » which will definitely pose the bases of their style. After numerous concerts and the release of the One more on the Road PV and single, most of the members of Swansong for a Raven decided to leave the band in July 2012. Julien and Estelle decided to take advantage of this change to give the band a new musical direction. The band has been on hiatus for almost a year before coming back in a new form. In summer 2013, seven years after the beginning of the band even tough it’s the same name Julien and Estelle come back with a whole new style. The new music is composed only of strong distorted bass guitar, drums and vocals for a whole new sound. After making 3 new videoclips (Youtube Channel here), the band went to Japan for 2 concerts, and after that, in december 2013, they joined the Japanese band Eat You Alive as opening band for their European Tour.

Search | Add | 4 | David Robert King | The Bluegrass Situation has raved about singer/songwriter David Robert King by saying, “If you appreciate the likes of Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits, you might well enjoy what he’s up to.” Accolades are coming in for the troubadour and his album IDAHO, which will be released on February 16. Mary Gauthier, King’s longtime collaborator, began the wave of praise when she noted, “IDAHO, David Robert King’s new record, is a stunning soundscape of whispered confessions and poignant observations. A beautiful collection of haunting songs, it deserves a good listen.” Grammy-winning singing titans The Blind Boys of Alabama also approve, as they came on board to augment King’s brooding vocals with their harmonies on the title track “Idaho.” King recently performed at the 30A Songwriters Festival, alongside Steve Earle, Emmylou Harris, Mary Gauthier, Patti Griffin and many more. King has also shared stages with Josh Ritter, The Mark O'Connor Band, Tim O'Brien, Loudon Wainwright III, Darrell Scott, and Over The Rhine. He has collaborated with Emily Saliers of The Indigo Girls, Jonatha Brooke and others. This combination led to a top 40 song on folk and roots radio, wide critical acclaim, and a featured spot at AMERICANAFEST 2017. King was also named a finalist in the 2017 NewSong Music Competition, performing last month at Lincoln Center in New York.

Search | Add | 4 | GavinDaVinci | GavinDaVinci moved to Limerick from Tipperary in 2017 and began producing an album titled "Mr. MAAD The Inventor". By the time the project was complete, he had linked up with the earliest form of PX Music, notably DJ Replay and producer Akia, to release the album as the first project through the soon-to-be label. Since then, he has played every city in Ireland, building a reputation for raucous shows. He has since self-produced another album titled "superscumbagmode" to notoriety across the country. GavinDaVinci has been in the lists for top Irish artists from passionweiss, Nialler9 and District Magazine, and also won a fan-based vote for Best Music Video of the Year (2019) through new trend Squick. 2020 has seen him release another self-produced EP titled "Please, don't listen to my shit if you love me". Production credits include; Post Punk Podge, Hazey Haze and Murli. "What differentiates DaVinci and his crew from this current class of rappers is their steadfast commitment to re-imagining ‘90’s street rap through a contemporary working-class Irish lens. It’s like Griselda Records minus the gangster realism and the black American perspective—neo-noir dispatches from forgotten parts of modern Ireland where brawling, drug-fueled binges, unrequited love, and treacherous betrayals are an everyday thing. Just don’t ask them how to cook crack." - Passion Weiss "Plenty of filthy bass-lines, eerie samples, and scumbag based lyricism" - District Magazine “Transcending genres and tearing up the rule book when it comes to writing a hip hop album” – Prima Volta “DaVinci displays a flare for the self aware, penning from a perspective that oozes understanding and maturity” – Nialler9 “Brusque accented rap” – Notion Magazine "A madcap performer who shreds Hiberno-English into bloodstained, zany rap, DaVinci is the group’s ODB, but somehow also its RZA. His refreshingly strange songs show why, and how, the unvarnished rural Irish accent can work in rap." - VICE

Search | Add | 4 | Richie Gomez | Rich was born and raised in Bayonne NJ. Rich’s life has been marked with music as both his father and older brother were professional drummers. His mother was very involved with community groups and The Sweet Adeline’s Singing Group. After graduation from High School Rich was spotted by the producers of the 1910 Fruitgum Company. Impressed with Rich’s voice, guitar playing and animated stage presence, he was approached and asked to formally audition and joined the group. Through recordings Rich made with the “Fruitgum” Company, he was awarded the RIAA Gold Record Award to commemorate the sale of more than one million copies of several hit singles. Touring with 1910 Fruitgum Company Rich appeared in concert with notable groups like, “The Monkees”, “Sly and the Family Stone” and “The Ohio Express.” He also composed songs for two albums, “Special Delivery” and “Hard Ride” which were released internationally, all this at age 18. Some years later he auditioned for the Broadway Show "Beatlemania." Rich was thrilled to hear the news that he had gotten the part. For the next 4 years he appeared on Broadway and in major cities throughout North America as “George Harrison” in the world-renowned show. Rich received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1973. He enrolled in Advanced Christian Training School and began to attend church faithfully. Graduating as valedictorian, Rich became actively involved in music ministry as worship leader at Faith Fellowship Ministries. He began with a small group but the music ministry grew to include a 20 piece orchestra and a 100 voice choir. A highlight in ministry came when Rich had the opportunity to lead worship for a live praise & worship recording for an Integrity Hosanna.® praise album entitled “Almighty.” He was also blessed when his original song “Let Everything That Has Breath” was selected for the top selling praise & worship recording by Ron Kenoly, entitled, “Lift Him Up.” Rich currently resides with his wife Cathy in Prescott, AZ, where he is currently a Worship Pastor at Prescott Church Of Nazarene. |
