Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Klaus Bloch | Klaus Bloch | From 'The Crack in the Cosmic Egg' by Steven Freeman & Alan Freeman: "Hiding behind the moniker of 'A La Ping Pong', Klaus Bloch was a talented amateur guitarist who broke on to the independent scene in a small way in the early '80s. Apart from being the project name, the 'A La Ping Pong' phrase was what he called his tape delay system, which was in essence his variation on the Frippertronic system. Klaus Bloch went on to make two very different albums. The first [Phase I] featured a highly inventive music featuring more recognisably 'Frippertronic' style guitar looping and delays, with multi-tracking and electronics, often comparable to Manuel Göttsching's echo and delay guitar work, early Heldon, or Camera Obscura. Then, in contrast, Phase II took a diversion to Kraftwerk styled electro-pop blending with Frippian touches" After an extended recording hiatus, Klaus Bloch resurfaced with the 'Gnomania' LP, recorded in 1999. |

Search | Add | 4 | Amembal Dinkarrao | Dinkar Amembal | D'Amel or Amembal Dinkarrao If alive, Amembal Dinkarrao or D'Amel (1909-1990) would have been 95 on September 24, 2004. Old time listeners of All India Radio would recall fondly his innumerable compositions used again and again as signature tunes. D'Amel is rightfully called as the Father of Orchestration of Hindustani classical music. It is necessary to differentiate in simple terms how difficult it must have been to set Indian or Hindustani classical themes, melodic and individualistic in nature in orchestration which is infact harmony based as is Western classical music. This very quality highlights the contributions of D'Amel. Though not trained in true Guru-Shishya Parampara in 'Gharana' style on one to one basis, D'Amel was a master craftsman when it came to orchestration. Have you heard of a conductor of musical ensemble without his baton leading the group as it were to its ultimate climax? Have you heard of a lead conductor being a part of the orchestration holding and playing a metal flute providing impeccable listening pleasure? D'Amel did this feat successfully from 1935 to 1966 on All India Radio Bombay Station for over 30 years! Born in Guwahati (North-East tip of India) D'Amel belonged to South Kanara Chitrapur community. He was a singer, harmonium player and conductor of Indian ensemble all rolled into one. Another oddity was he was little hard of hearing and in his later years he had turned totally stone-deaf. V.K. Narayan Menon, a musicologist, Indian Dance Expert and Founder Director of Prestigious National Centre of Performing Arts called him "Beethoven of India". Greatness of D'Amel lies in his expressive way of simplifying Raga music which even a novice could understand. A whole new generation in Independent India was brought up on his music could differentiate raga music from one melody to another. True to the motto of All India Radio, he propogated good music to common radio listeners. In 1947 with Independence came a ban on 'harmonium' - a foreign instrument with French reeds. Though this was a setback, it did not deter D'Amel. He took up simple metal flute and even presented full length events on All India Radio Bombay. He led a life of a saint steeped into spiritualism and ended his life like a Yogi in 1990. Biography by Prakash Burde, September 2005 |

Search | Add | 4 | Jelsomena | Japanese goth band from Osaka and Kyoto area formed in 1988 by their original singer Yuichi (aka Yuki Kukami), inspired by the bands like Auto-Mod and Madame Edwarda. Yuichi meets a keyboard player Kaama who was deeply into a wide variety of gothic and new wave music. Jelsomena originally played Christian Death and '80s British 'Batcave' inspired old-school gothic rock, then later started adding darkwave and industrial elements to their sound. Sometime during 1992 the band changed its name to 'Ex-Nihilo' but changed back to Jelsomena in 1993. They were very active within the Kansai area goth scene, occasionally going on Tokyo tour, and often played shows with other goth bands like Jubilee, Judith, La Madame Rochas, Gille' Loves, Neurotic Doll, Rosen Kreuz, Mother Goose, Genet: Rock Of Romance (ex Auto-Mod), Speed-iD, as well as some visual-kei bands such as early LA'rc~en~Ciel, Gilles de Rais, Scare Crow, Zinx, The Harem Q, etc. After having numerous lineup changes since 1990, they broke up in 1994. Yuichi later joined Jubilee as their new singer. Jelsomena played a reunion show in April 2010, reformed and active again since 2015. The new lineup included: Vocals - Ranze ([a=La Madame Rochas]), Guitar - Ren (Musu Bore / Gregor Samsa), Drums - Tell (Musu Bore / Emmurée / Mother Goose / Auto-Mod / Neurotic Doll), and Keyboards & Vocals - Kaama They played the "Gothic Night Reverberation" live show event in Tokyo with Auto-Mod, Madame Edwarda, Phaidia, Neurotic Doll, Jubilee etc. ●●●●●●●● Discograhy ●●●●●●●● - The Lord's Will (Cassette, 1990) - Gigs (Cassette, 1990) - YHVH (Cassette, 1990) - She Says So Afraid (Cassette, 1991) - Braintrash (V/A CD, 1992) --- as Ex-Nihilo - Jelsomena Act '91 (VHS, 1992) - Ex-Nihilo (Cassette, 1993) --- as Jelsomena - Gothic Night (V/A VHS, 1994)

Search | Add | 4 | Steady States | Steady States began as a casual jamming project between Mark and Kyle. After a while, some song ideas developed and they decided to form an actual band. After some false starts with different drummers, they settled on Bob, whose solid, powerful, hardcore punk-informed drumming perfectly complemented Kyle’s melodic bass lines and Mark’s angular, dissonant guitar riffs. The lineup was solidified in February 2011 with the addition of Joel on vocals and guitar. Joel’s unhinged and oddball vocal sensibilities turned out to be well-suited for the band’s strangely natural-sounding mix of hardcore, noise and post-punk skronk.

Search | Add | 4 | Aaron Jaxon Band | Whether he is performing at Nashville’s legendary Bluebird Café or during the NATO headquarters Christmas party in Brussels, Aaron Jaxon is one part guitar master and one part lyrical storyteller. The East Texas native, now living in Johnson City, Tennessee, packs a blend of rock and roll, blues, country and Americana ... creating Aaron’s unique sound referred to as “roots rock.” Aaron’s lyrics are reminiscent of the likes of Bob Dylan and Tom Waits, focused on telling stories of spirituality and survival through tough situations. 2021 is set to be a busy year for Aaron. His latest single, "Long Before The Sun", released on April 23rd and a full-length album is expected to drop later in the year. Aaron has already released two EPs to date; his debut EP, The Aaron Jaxon Band, dropped in 2013 and the follow-up EP, Light on the Inside, was released in 2015. The Aaron Jaxon Band and Light on the Inside were recorded at The Sound Asylum Recording Studio and were co-produced by Aaron and Troy Whitson. Aaron's music is available via popular services such as iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and can be purchased through Jaxon’s official website. When he isn’t working on new music, Aaron volunteers some of his free time to helping recovering alcoholics taking part in twelve-step programs. Aaron loves to travel, having visited locations like New York City, Tokyo, Glasgow and Paris. He is also an avid viewer of television shows like Game of Thrones, Narcos and Goliath.

Search | Add | 4 | Necrofulgurate | NECROFULGURATE hailed from the United States, and released two demos in super-limited editions. It was a one-time project, helmed by one man, intended for vile, raw death metal: NECROFULGURATE was hateful of all trends and posers, and suitably aimed for its music to be a rejection of that. Thus, it rejected lofty metaphysical concepts so prevalent in nowadays death metal and instead stuck to violent, war-themed lyrics espousing a hatred for mankind. Similarly, minimal equipment was used, with intentionally simplistic riffing that showed complexity in the smallest of details, nor was any "atmosphere" intentional. NECROFULGURATE never intended for either of its two demos to be released - in fact, they were almost deleted - but support from underground labels changed that. No gimmicks, no frills, no mystery: NECROFULGURATE's epitaph is written with Putrid Veil.

Search | Add | 4 | Suthun Boy | The nineties gave birth to a revolution of crunk music propelled in part by the Iconz release of Get Crunked Up. A huge smash in the streets, the song established Iconz as an internationally recognized brand in todays hip-hop music scene while driving the STREET MONEY album to debut at number 10 on Billboard Magazines Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart . After a long hiatus, a discussion with Iconz label head, Fentz, reveals the companys plans to set the streets on fire in 2006. With great confidence, Fentz proclaims; We have discovered a hit artist. The streets cannot be lied to, says Fentz, in this game, if the streets dont feel you, theres no winning. Our new artist, SUTHUN BOY is a natural star and hes soon to be the darling of the industry and the streets. In one meeting, it becomes clear why SUTHUN BOY is the designated flagship talent of Iconz Artist & Music. He is a man of few but powerful words. With his intriguing demeanor and humble spirit, Suthun Boy is no average rapper. He comes across like a philosopher, readily expounding upon life and its many facets. A devoted husband and father, Suthun Boy speaks candidly of his love and plans for his family. He wears the hallmark of a prophet unashamedly sharing his faith like an activist ready to stand up for what he believes in regardless of the personal cost. While hes no stranger to serving beat downs and hustles on the street, Suthun Boy demonstrates a great deal of spirituality, always attributing his successes to God. When asked about his feelings towards representing a brand that some consider tainted, Suthun Boy states; I thank the Lord for blessing me with the confidence to represent myself before a label. Thats where artists go wrong. They hide behind their labels. A company cant connect you with the streets. A label can open some doors, but the way the streets feel about you is in our own hands and in Gods hands. As the name suggests, Suthun Boys debut album, GHETTO MUSIC is inspired by and created for the ghetto. In his words; this album is for my ghetto people; people raised in the projects by their grand-mama daddies not around; people that get harassed and abused by crooked cops but live just long enough to watch those cops get promoted to higher ranks and get higher pay; all those hurt but blessed people. I see myself leading a flock into a revolution thats going to heal and change every ghetto with my gifts. Many rap artists transition from music to films. Like the late Tupac Shakur, Suthun Boy is launching his acting career simultaneously with his music career. Noted for his chilling portrayal of Koke, the loyal henchman of a powerful drug lord, in the Falcon Films/Twentieth Century Fox movie entitled BLOODLINE, Suthun Boy is already a double-edged sword
