Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

All pieces are Mohammad's own compositions, but are reinterpreted at each concert, leaving the musician with enough space for free improvisation. In this way, the pieces always become a unique performance. Mohammad / AHURA plays in various compositions on stage. As a solo artist, with his wife, who accompanies him on the Celtic harp, or / and with percussion accompaniment (frame drums and Persian dombak) and solo singing. He also seeks dialogue with instruments and musicians from other cultures and has been working for several years with a 5 to 6-piece ensemble, integrating sound elements from other cultures into his music. | |

Their unique vocal blends mesmerize their listeners while their compositions touch their hearts. As young teenagers Lilian & Manon toured with "The International Stars of Europe" in Canada who referred to the sisters as the ABBA girls. They recorded in Warsaw Poland with Anna Jantar opening the Polskie Nagrania Studio Muzak Records under the direction of Jan Kukulski. Their Polish musical peers were very enthusiastic and wanted the girls to represent Canada at "The International SOPOT Festival", but that never materialized. Another recording highlight was recording in Hendersonville Nashville Tennessee at The Oak Ridge Brothers Studio backed by Ronnie Milsap’s Band. Lilian & Manon went on and became the lead singers of "Skyliner" who recorded on the Mercey Brothers Label and attained a top 30 single on the Canadian Country RPM Charts. Skyliner headlined in many of the "Top Clubs" on the circuit, touring forty-nine nights straight with weekend matinees and after hour club appearances at the "Matador" before having one night off and starting back again. Skyliner was one of the featured country bands to perform on the last day of live country shows at "The Horseshoe Tavern" in Toronto. They performed extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada. Highlights include guest spotting with "The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra", appearing on many radio and T.V. shows, regular appearances on the weekly CFGM Opry North Shows, Toronto Press Club events, United Nations celebrations, CBC radio shows with Milan Kymlicka, their own "Special" on City TV, CNE Bandshell, sharing the stage or performing along side many stars as Lucille Starr, Alan Thicke, Ian Tyson, Ronnie Hawkins, Carroll Baker, Anne Murray, Frank Mills, The Mercey Brothers, Stompin Tom, Gary Lalonde, Kelly Preston to name a few. Lilian and Manon also embarked on solo careers. Lilian, an Actra member, became part of the "Backstage Productions" roster-Ronnie Hawkins Management in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s under Steve Thomson and became know as Lil in the highly acclaimed CBS recording children’s rock n’roll "But, I’m Just A Kid" group who were Juno nominees. Besides her adult career as Lilian, Lil a.k.a. "Miss Lilly" (her first children’s book "Sky Blue" was released on Golden Book Tapes) still performs and writes children’s material actively part of www.markusmusic.com. Manon went on entertaining in the piano lounge circuit performing at exclusive resorts in Germany and Canada. | |

Raised in a large, musically inclined family, he discovered his singing voice early and learned to play guitar and violin during his school years at a church-run boarding school focused on music. He studied education, theology, and religious studies in Tübingen and Reutlingen. While working as a primary school teacher in northern Germany, Ball began composing songs, often in collaboration with the Evangelische Akademie and the Religious Education Institute in Loccum. From 1976 to 1980, he released several children's albums including "Ach wär’ ich doch ein kleines Karussell", "Komm, wir klettern auf den Regenbogen", and "Gib nicht auf, Gänsefüßchen". These works combined playful and poetic language with deeper themes such as life, death, nature, peace, and resilience—a recurring motif in his music. In 1985, he released "Lobet den Herrn", a collection of spiritual songs based on Old Testament texts, featuring choral and instrumental arrangements. This marked the beginning of his integrated approach of publishing accompanying songbooks with lyrics, sheet music, and ideas for meditation, movement, and group participation. Subsequent works include settings of poems by [a=Christian Morgenstern] ("Lirum larum Löffelstiel", 1986), songs inspired by the New Testament ("So ist das mit dem Himmelreich", 1988), and "Alles hat seine Zeit..." (1990). He also composed numerous unpublished songs, including adaptations of poems by [a=Michael Ende]. Due to early-onset dementia, Joschi Jonathan Ball had to end his musical and professional activities in 2001. He passed away on July 20, 2011. |

The origins can be traced to the searing heat at the base of a blast furnace, at the new RTB works (BSC Llanwern) that was completed in 1962. Several of the workers, who would regularly harmonise in song, were to become the new residents of the rapidly developing communities of Caldicot and Underwood. Many of them had experience of singing in long established valley choirs. It was decided to try and organise a male voice choir in Caldicot and after an informal meeting in the Cross pub, Ray Hogan, Len Waters and John Grindle walked around Caldicot, knocking on the doors of fellow steelworkers to see if there was any interest. Israel Sardiñas joined Los Van Van in 1980. During his three years with Van Van he sang hits such as "Seis Semanas", "Vine a Verte", "Hoy Que Quieres de Mi". In 1983 he left the band during a tour of Mexico and later he moved to Miami. He was replaced in Los Van van by Mayito El Flaco who was then replaced by Mayito Rivera. It is clear that Formell was looking for singers with a similar timer and syle to fill the void left by Israel Sardiñas's departure. It is also interesting to note that César "Pupy" Pedroso hired Pepito Gómez who interpreted "Seis semanas" for Los Que Son Son and has the same type of brilliant timbre as Israel Sardiñas Influenced by Benny Moré, Raúl Planas and other Cuban legends, Israel paid his dues with Los Reyes '73 (a popular Van Van spin-off), Iresón, Neosón and other … Mr. Israel Sardiñas was regarded as one of the best soneros (a singer of the Cuban musical style known as son) of recent decades. "When he came on the scene [in the late '70s], other singers copied him," said influential Latin bandleader Juan Pablo Torres in a 1997 … He changed his name to Israel Kantor in 1984 in New York City, on the suggestion of Puerto Rican musician Johnny Pacheco. The atmosphere of Miami in the 1980's was not receptive to modern Cuban music preferring salsa romantica or "salsa nostalgica" such as covers of Benny More and Arsenio Rodríguez. Israel Sardiñas's attempts to create a new music style were not successful but he did find success singing traditional Cuban music with his voz de sonero. In 2003 Israel Sardiñas became a member of The Tropicana All Star Orchestra, which was nominated for two Latin Grammy Awards and two Grammy Awards for their albums "Recuerda a Benny More" and "Tradicion". a tribute to Benny Moré and other traditional songs. The band was very successful with it's show that included dancers á la tropicana. Israel Sardiñas was one of very few modern singers truly capable of interpreting Benny Moré with an authentic sonero flavor. Israel Sardiñas also performed with Fania and the legend says that it was Hector Lavoe that gave him the nickname "El Cantor" which he then took to be his artist name "Kantor". It's not easy to find info about Jimmy Reeves Jr. The following article sheds some light on the album - "One other session [from Walter Horton] that merits attention from this period is a Chess LP done under the name of guitarist Jimmy Reeves Jr., who as his name alludes, was a young Jimmy Reed lookalike and soundalike, complete with a photograph of rack mounted harmonica around his neck. The session was a straight Willie Dixon affair that featured a few Reed titles and a lot of Willie's songbook. Fortunately, M.T. Murphy was the lead guitarist and Shakey [Walter Horton] performed some outstanding sympathetic backing in tandem with pianist Lafayette Leake or Sunnyland Slim. Reeves Jr., the star of the session, was relegated to vocals. Crazy Cavan and the Rhythm Rockers (also known as Cavan & The Rhythm Rockers, Crazy Cavan "N" The Rhythm Rockers, Crazy Cavan & The Rhythm Rockers) are a Teddy Boy band from South Wales. The band formed in 1970, and has still been actively touring and recording. The band appeared in the 1980 film Blue Suede Shoes which detailed the revival of 1950s rock 'n' roll music scene at the time. The first incarnation of the band was formed in 1964 by Cavan Grogan (vocals), Lyndon Needs (lead guitar) and Terry Walley (rhythm guitar) under the name "Count Dracula and the Vampires". In 1968, joined by Brian Thomas (piano) and Don Kinsella (bass), they took the name "The Sundogs" which they borrowed from Alan Freed who was known as "Moondog" and combined it with their taste for Sun Records, a label which they used to buy at that time. Then in 1970, with the addition of Mike Coffey (drums), they took the name "Crazy Cavan 'n' the Rhythm Rockers", a name which has endured. In 1973, the band formed its own record label, Crazy Rhythm Records (named after their own description of their music) and released their debut single, "Teddy Boy Boogie" (backed with "Bop Little Baby"). In 1975 they released their first album Crazy Rhythm on the Dutch Rockhouse label. In 1976, they signed with Charly Records in the UK, and released their second album, Rockability. |
