Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 8 | Borislav Vakinov | Borislav Vakinov | Borislav Vakinov (also known as "Witness True Sorcery" on the internet) is an artist, writer, blogger and a gamer based in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. A long-time reader of horror fiction, mysteries and existential philosophy. He is an independent researcher of the Occult, Western Magic and Esotericism, and he currently runs three musical projects in different genres. Borislav started out as a freelance graphic designer back in 2008/2009, where he mostly created album covers, posters, banners and logos for personal projects, as well as for various websites, clients and bands. Most of his late work draws inspiration heavily from fantasy, mythology, video games and design, objectivism, occultism and magick. He became very interested in the fields of the more fringe-end and weird side of life since his early childhood, while watching The X-Files and reading Stephen King's novels. Years later he became known on the internet with his DeviantArt page and YouTube channel. All of the artistic work he did in recent years led him into branching out into new territories and develop the necessary skills in order to grow as an artist and as a writer. He also has a rather varied taste for Art and he's heavily addicted to black and white movies, BioShock, RPGs, Jazz, Bluegrass and Country Music. These days, Borislav mostly writes books and works as a graphic designer for a living, but sometimes he also works on music and various art-related projects. In his spare time, he often goes for long hikes in the local forests and mountainous regions of his native home. |

Search | Add | 8 | Los Pibes Trujillo | Ecuatorian brothers Marco Oswaldo, Luis Enrique and Juan Ernesto Trujillo Echanique are better well known for their Christmas Carols album as "Los Pibes Trujillo". The artistic name of the group (Pibes Trujillo) was inherited from one first intent that formed their father with a close relative. Their artistic beginnings were given at "Pablo Julián Gutiérrez" school, in "America" neighborhood of Quito downtown. Their musical leap gave them from the school to the Perpetual Socorro Church in the same neighborhood, the church organist encouraged them to sing Christmas Carols. They were announced in some radio shows in Quito (Radio Tarqui), as well as in broadcast of other radio stations such as Radio Democracia (Quito), Radio Cristal (Guayaquil), Emisora El Prado (Riobamba) and even in the "Julio César Hidalgo" coliseum in Quito. They become known by Segundo Bautista, a non-seer artist that performs keyboards and guitar with whom they recorded a tape demo for send it to Mr. José Domingo Feraud Guzmán (founder of J. D. Feraud Guzman Recordings) in Guayaquil city, they recorded in 1961 a Long Play album in which were included 10 Christmas Carols tracks, also recorded 5 mini discs of 45 RPM. Their only and unique album printed and titled "Dulce Jesus Mio" becomes a classic Christmas Carols in Ecuador that practically has been immortalized into the whole Ecuatorian music. Unfortunately the Trujillo brothers in their childhood didn't had the professional support to continue their career, according to themselves they had too much regret with an uncle of them that was their "manager", this man was acting without scruple (because they were orphans of father and mother), exploited them in such a way that they did not perceive any money gain, yet being the main stars of the spectacle. | |

Search | Add | 8 | So.undso | Christoph & Markus | DJ & Producer duo from Munich + Passau Over the course of their career, So.undso piled up 7 EPs, a dozen of singles and several free download goodies. Internationally represented on labels in Germany, United States, Italy & Russia, their sound is as multifarious as spread over the world. Something that is obvious considering their strong believe in creating the right mood for every party is what counts most. Although 2020 made a halt to playing live, they bundled their energy with Jorginho Joao to create their label and musical outlet „Dance Petrol Records“ to give home to various styles of house music. Apart from forming their idea of house music on their own label, they are already looking forwarding to ending 2020 with a bang, their first vinyl release on Mango Sounds! While they already released on well known labels like Plastik People, Soulbrain Records as well as Igor Gonyas Sundries and Lisztomania Records, their so far most successfull belter was released on HDSNs NBAST. “Disco Dolly” climbed up to Traxsource top 6 deephouse charts and stayed in top10 for 3 weeks. |

Search | Add | 8 | Master Ibrahim | Master Ibrahim (1915-1980) | Master Ibrahim (1915-1980) started learning the clarinet at the age of 11. A prolific musician, Ibrahim (often also spelt as Ebrahim), seems to have been equally at home as a Hindustani classical musician (he recorded both for AIR and HMV) and as a film musician. Unlike many of his contemporaries in the film orchestras, his name was well-known amongst the general public because HMV also released many records of his instrumental versions of popular film songs. Searching on the Internet, I came across an extract from a dissertation paper by a New York-based clarinetist Shanti Raval titled 'The Adaptation of the Clarinet to Hindustani Music: The Playing Style of Master Ebrahim'. In her paper, Raval claims that Master Ebrahim 'remains to this day, the only Indian clarinetist to play on the Boehm system.' The Boehm clarinet, Raval explains, is used by 'the majority of Western classical musicians.... Master Ebrahim, however, was able to convey many of the inflections of Hindustani music on a Boehm clarinet.' Another admirer of Master Ibrahim was the young Ruskin Bond: "I was also fond of the clarinet (turj) playing of an Indian musician, Master Ibrahim, and I had some of his recordings which transported me back to the streets and bazaars of small-town India. Light, lilting and tuneful, I preferred this sort of flute music to the warblings of the more popular songsters." |

The first Bob Kayli recording, "Everyone Was There," came out in 1958. Berry leased it to Carlton Records and it sold well until Kayli made personal appearances and the public discovered he was black. Record sales screeched to a halt, and Berry didn't receive any further requests for appearances. He worked at the Post Office until Motown started hitting on all cylinders. He left the government job for an entry-level position in Motown's engineering department. He didn't record again until the November 1961 single "Small Sad Sam" (b/w "Tie Me Tight"), an answer to Jimmy Dean's "Big Bad John" that failed upon release. Motown didn't release any more Bob Kayli recordings. When his sister Loucye died in the mid-'60s, he became the head of Jobete Music, and apparently ran the publishing company like a military platoon. |

Finding his way in the world of underground theatre through the 90s and early 2000s, he eventually started working with sounds, focusing on the (de)construction of language and the manipulation of pre-recorded spoken materials. The voice is the main instrument, moving from repetitive eccentric vocalizations to abstract electronics landscapes, using repetition, distortion, noise and screams in a way that sounds unheard and liberated from schemes or clichés, giving precedence to the pre-verbal forms of language to disturb its functional logic. He produced a handful of ultra limited cdrs and tapes, as well as some noticeable live performances |

Search | Add | 8 | Sarah Franklyn | A singer and songwriter from Ireland. Sarah Franklyn was born in Kenya, Africa, and raised in Ireland. At six years old she began her performing career with her parents touring around Ireland in a converted Wells Fargo ambulance stage-managing and performing Shakespeare, Shaw and Chekov in the rural villages throughout Ireland. She grew up in Dublin, pursuing music and theatre interests from an early age where she attended the Royal Irish Academy of Music, Dublin, and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, London. She put herself through college by busking and playing wine bars, folk clubs, rock clubs and festivals and session singing for recording studios. While singing in London, she landed a touring job with Jethro Tull and went on to work with many eclectic acts, including Sally Oldfield, Art of Noise and Roxy Music. Sarah's original songwriting reflects both the rich cultural heritage of her native lands, Africa, Ireland and the world music melting pot of the San Francisco Bay Area, where she resides part time. Sarah has been a regular performer on the US and European festival music circuit and as a result, has attracted a strong and loyal following for the fiery mix of traditional, jazzy, rock, folk music her songs portray. Her heartfelt vocals and magical music have begun to influence a large number of soulful musicians and spirited listeners all over the world. Gracious, earthy and talented, Sarah Franklyn has something very unique. She posesses an extraordinary voice.
