Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Thee Creepfreaks | Thee Creepfreaks are a psychobilly trio from London, combining up-tempo drumbeats, loud dirty guitar and demonic vocals. In the summer of 2012 Peter (ex-Nocturnal Teds/ Miniskirt Blues) dusted off his rockin’ guitar and called double bass player Anthony and they started starting rehearsing and stringing together a few tracks and after a few different drummers they found the bone rattling beats of Jeremy (Devil Crockett). After Anthony left the country we have hooked up with our new bass player Ash and are roaring and ready to go again…. Since their first gig at The Klub in Camden, they’ve been playing regularly in London supporting bands like Mad Sin, Tall Boys, Demented are Go and many others. With a love of horror, armed with macabre lyrics and a view of the world in demise, these psycho love children of Lemmy and Elvis will get the pit going and have you howling at the moon until the early morning light.

Search | Add | 3 | Willie Bovain | Keyboardist Willie Bovain was born in 1944 in San Diego, California. He began playing the piano and organ at the age of 9. His first training was in his father's church, Reverend John Bovain. At the age of 21, he plays in clubs with his trio and is very successful everywhere he plays. Chuck Johnson, General Manager of Rhythm & Blues' first local radio station "XEGM" and his "Soul 95" program in San Diego, discovered Willie Bovain on his shows. In 1969, for Bovain's only album, Chuck Johnson co-wrote several songs with Willie, and composed the excellent "Love Walk", the album also included a beautiful version of "Hurt So Bad". Aside from his only album, Willie Bovain recorded two singles, one on Radio City RC-1000: Willie Bovain Trio "Soul In The Morning / Carnival Of Soul" and another on Soul City SC-1000: Willie Bovain And The Rocks "Sippin ' Soul "which is a kind of" Hurt So Bad "revisited, coupled with a title that appears on the album" Patricia's Delight ". Both labels seem related because Radio City is published by Soul City Pub. Co.

Search | Add | 3 | Jackie Storrar | Jackie Storrar was raised in Kirkcaldy just outside Edinburgh and attended the same school as Gordon Brown, the last labour prime minister. Music was always her first love which was to take her to perform in over 80 countries worldwide, from the early days at school and in church to Country festivals, cruise ships and theatre shows. Jackie quickly became a media person after being given the chance to present her Country Girl show on Dundee's Radio Tay, the first female Country jock on the station. This led to other media work and the chance to be the breakfast jock on Island Sound Radio in Malta. This soon encompassed tv work and eventually to her performing live all over the Island. Jackie all this time maintained her songwriting skills which led to her becoming a premier presenter on CMR Nashville from 2009 to 2011. Genre: World Music / Afro Manding / Gambian Afrobeat / Dance Music / Independend Music… According to critics, they are »one of the most influential bands in The Gambia«, but still mostly »[u]nknown to the Western listener. Active since the 1980s. Powered by the Jarju Brothers. Utilising electric guitar, drums, bass and keyboard to mix and adapt the different elements of traditional Gambian music and culture to create a new Gambian sound.« (Chicken Attack Records, G.B., that produced and distributes the before 2019 E.P. »Abarake Bake«.) »The band is named after a powerful historic village in The Gambia, where slaves were transported to America and Europe. This is the village where a brave slave called Kunta Kinteh was born. His name spread in most parts of the world. We named the band after this village to sustain the historic momentum and name of the village.« — »Juffureh Band is a long time band from the early nineteen-eighties. A lot of musicians passed through this band. We recorded few albums, and two among them, one was done with musicians from England, and another one with a saxophone player from Germany.« (Founding member A.S.J.) In the beginning the musicians were dependend to construct their own musical devices. Still they welcome technical support regarding musical instruments that are hard to obtain in The Gambia for them, further they need financial support of their musical work. Search | Add | 3 | Hayelala | היללה | Hayelala (Hebrew: היללה), which translates as "The Howl", is a band from the north of Israel with a mesmerizing human odyssey of poetics, groove, and sound. They play original folkloric music, which takes its time and movement from the houses of prayer and the gospel, the trumpets of the saints, Chinese calligraphy, and as well as from the never-ending enchantment of the earth - grass, sea, rock, lightning, thunder, and morning stars. The band performs the compositions and songs of Nitay Kelly, the lead singer of the band. The songs are hymns, lamentations, and prayers to the mystery that may help carry the wounded to this miracle. |

Search | Add | 3 | Cardavercus | Took the name Cardavercus in 1998, and led by ex-Severe Warning founder Bryan Renken and main songwriter Ace The Raven in 1998. Formed from the combination of two previous bands. Renken, led by Renken, Ace, Darrin Winne, and Gary "Meat" Vosecky from 1993 to 1994 (which also recruited Mike Marczak in 1994), and 1996-1997, and an unnamed band of Ace, Scott, and Mike that lasted from 1994 to 1996, before they combined into the new Renken lineup in 1996. This lineup would record a 5 song demo in June of 1997 that includes future-Cardavercus songs. This lineup then changed their name to Cardavercus in early 1998, a name that Ace thought of in August of 1997 and was included in a list of possible band names to change Project Raven to, until this project was put on hold to focus on Renken. Under both names, Renken and Cardavercus, they would end up playing some previous Project Raven songs, and newer Ace-penned songs that he would later bring back his solo project after Cardavercus split up. The 1997 demo included "Immune" and "The Secret (Non Omnis Moriar)" and "Life Will Decay", all past Project Raven songs, and after the name change to Cardavercus they would play these as well as "Free" and "Threshold", "The Dark Plan", "Blinded", "The Unseen" and others, many later recorded on the Ace the Raven album "Fortress of Apathy" in 2005. Cardavercus also even played a cover of Nitefall's "Island of Courage... Sea of Despair", which Project Raven and Ace The Raven both also covered, although both versions are unreleased. During the early days of Renken, 1993-1994 they would play many re-structured Severe Warning songs, as well as future-Cardavercus songs such as "Cold Vengeance", "Water Into Wine" and "Dying Day", as well as future Ace The Raven songs such as "Hell Is Above" and "Journey Into Fear". Cardavercus' recorded their debut 4-song demo in early 1999 and independently released it in spring of the same year. Their official press packs of the era list Venom, Mercyful Fate and Sepultura as some of their influences. In late 1999 they went back into Digitrax Recording Studio and began working on their second CD "Cardavercus II: We Return Again, but unfortunately they split up for good during the recording process and it was never completed. In 2005 Ace The Raven re-issued the demo, with a varied front cover and on an enhanced CD with a bonus QuickTime Video clip of the song "Dying Day", recorded in concert in 1999 from one of shows that Severe Warning bassist Darrin Winne played with them for. This is another song that dates back to Renken rehearsals in 1994. After the Renken/Cardavercus lineup of Renken/Ace/Scott/Mike was established Renken started another band as well, called Bat Rastard. This band included both Renken drummers in the band officially, alongside original Severe Warning bassist, Poyzon-founder, future Cardavercus bassist Darrin Winne, and Bryan Renken on guitars and vocals. Bat Rastard recorded a 3 song demo "Bat Rastard Live at Practice", played live onto on 8-Tracks on July 8th 1997, and soon after played their only 2 live shows, with Greg on drums for one and Scott on drums for the other. After their split Darrin would fill in live for several Cardavercus shows in 1998 and 1999, before officially replacing Mike Marczak in 2000 shortly before the band split up.

Search | Add | 3 | Triple Stitch | After a four-year hiatus of the members working on other projects, Triple Stitch is back with a fresh line-up and new music on its way. The Lonsdale, Minnesota quartet—now made up of Jimmy Riot (frontman), Tony Campion (drums and vocals), Joe Schaumann (guitar and vocals), and Katie Schaumann (bass guitar and vocals)—plans to pick up right where the old guard left off. The band’s debut full-length album, This is Rebellion, released in 2010, seven years after the band’s formation, proved to be an explosive catalyst to the bands career. On the back of the success of that record, the band released the EP, Your Love Will be the Death of All Rock ‘N’ Roll in 2013.Full of power driven guitar riffs, the band’s reverence for acts like Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Tom Petty, and Johnny Cash is palpable. The band even included a Cash cover on the EP. Their unbridled rock abandon, towering riffs, and aggressive vocals flirt with the line between anarchy and hope. 2013 was the busiest year for the band, with close to 80 shows performed. In 2014 they played shows across the country and around the world, including Woodstock Festival in Poland. Through their tireless tour efforts, the band made a name for themselves as a punk/Rock N’ Roll roll powerhouse.

In 2005, he got his first big booking in Fantasy dance Theatre where he stood between the big names as Remy, Erick the man, Vincent de Wit, and many more. He owns three record labels Intergrade Records, Gizmania Records and TPC Music. This man knows what he's doing and surprise the crowd time on time with his technical high qualitative performances. |

Search | Add | 3 | DJ Robson Vidal | Brazilian DJ and Music Producer. At the age of 13, he started partying at friends' playgrounds until he was invited by Paulo Lima (owner of the turbo disco club team) to fill a vacancy for a speaker loader and illuminator. Seeing in me the awakening and the enchantment that I had for the figure of the Dj on the dance floors and for the interest that I had shown, he was the first to give me an opportunity as a Dj in a team so famous and respected until today, TURBO DISCO CLUB (Atlas and Mackenzie clubs in Méier). Shortly thereafter, it also gave me the opportunity to start working on radio with the invitation to run an evening radio program on TROPICAL FM 104.5 called "Saturday Party". From then on the doors were opened and he was invited to work at Manhattan Disco (one of the most prestigious dance clubs in RJin season ). Always wearing a cap on his head, DJ Robson Vidal is appointed as one of the biggest names of the night in Rio and became famous after being the first DJ of a dance music program in the afternoon, with Adrenalinaon radio Transamérica-RJ (audience leader at the time). He also worked on Tropical FM, Manchete FM, and Jovem Pan FM RJ radio stations. He stood out as a music producer and composer of successful themes such as the famous opening of Planeta Xuxa called GIRO DO PLANETA (the only opening of the program that became successful on all dance floors in Brazil), with the partnership of Daniel Figueiredo and Abdullah in composition. He produced several successful remixes, especially Milk, Toast and Honey - Roxette, the only Brazilian remix approved by the band itself. In addition, in his studio, he produces several musical styles.Vidal took part as a DJ for 4 years in one of Rede Globo's most watched programs (Planeta XUXA), alongside Queen Xuxa.He is responsible for the creation of the unique musical style called “TEKNOBEAT”, a rhythm that exploded in Brazil and abroad through Teknobeat Radio Hit (internet radio specialized in the style he created). His sets are full of hits, news and exclusive versions whether at Electro House or Teknobeat, performing at various parties, shows and nightclubs inside and outside the country.

Search | Add | 3 | SKUNgK | Rap-Metal band from Buffalo, NY formed in February of 1997 and parted ways in 2001. Formed in February of 1997, Skungk immediately rose to the top of their local scene in Buffalo, NY. They quickly earned a reputation with promoters and press as an energetic, emotional, down-to-earth band with ample draw. By June of 1997 they had already released a self-titled debut CD and were headlining sold-out local shows, as well as opening for national acts that came through town. Having proved themselves on stage with bands like Incubus (Immortal Records), and Bloodlet (Victory Records) in their own hometown, Skungk shot out on the road. By 1998 they had sold 1,000 copies of their self-produced debut and logged countless shows in cities all over the Northeast. Through their tireless efforts and touring, Skungk has gained an impressive fan base in their own hometown, as well as cities they travel to. They were recently awarded "Best Hardcore Band of 1999 and 2000" in both the Buffalo Beat Magazine Readers Poll and the Buffalo radio station WBNY Listeners Poll. "We do not claim to be a hardcore band," says Skungk, "We merely contain certain elements of hardcore." Whatever you call them, the five members of Skungk add up to a serious assault on the senses. The band is again generating attention with their second release entitled “Status Symbol”, another self-produced CD showing more maturity and attention to detail. In fact, Skungk has generated so much attention that they have recently shared the stage with national acts like Static X (Warner Brothers), Taproot (Atlantic), Slaves on Dope (Divine), Papa Roach, Goldfinger, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Buried Alive (Victory Records), and One Minute Silence (V2 Records). The self-released, second EP further showcases the band’s strength as songwriters without losing any of the gritty edge found on their debut EP. “Status Symbol” is original, honest, and diverse. Once again Skungk has managed to deliver something a little different in an often overpopulated genre.

Already at young age, he started listening to his fathers music collection, which was embossed by Jazz and Bossa Nova or got influenced by his mothers love for Harry Belafonte. This laid the foundation for his deep sense of music, which you can hear down to the present day. But also Techno, Funk & all that Soul, Hip-Hop and Punk'n'Roll played a big role within his musical development. The year "Homework" was a turning point in his life where he mainly focused on techno and house music and started off producing. DJ-ing followed shortly after that and contributed to improve his skills and knowledge of quality music. Nowadays you can still find this slight breeze of jazz but also the roots of house music in his music style.

For this "mission" he recruits Peruvian, same drummer of L'Impero delle Ombre, Francis Probus and Gabriel Goya on guitars and Nicholas Lestat on bass, giving life to debut "Reborn from the Ashes", pure Heavy Metal horror-concept mini album (22 minutes) featuring as very special guest Steve Sylvester (Death SS vocalist, John's real point of reference) on first track. Search | Add | 3 | Discröyd | DISCRÖYD from Munich/Bavaria is a metal band with a well-marked DIY-attitude. Based on their diverse individual influences they cover several metal and rock-styles from Thrash and Hardcore to Hard Rock and Doom, creating a unique alcohol-soaked sound - oldschool without being antiquated and heavy without being monotonous. Their story began in 2008 when the two ex-Hateful Agony members Matt (guitar) and Marty (bass) decided to start Munich's next big thing after meeting and drinking at a Hanoi Rocks concert. Shortly afterwards AD/AC Motörwelt drummer Matthias joined the band (then called Beermöb). Tim, singer and guitarist of Speedwhore, completed the line-up in late 2008 after having quite a few drinks with Matt in a bar. Several months later they finished writing songs for their first album, started to play gigs and began to record their first full lengths album by themselves – now under the name of DISCRÖYD. Their lyrics cover much-loved topics like alcohol abuse (say what?!), sex and violence, but also obscure, science fiction and sociocritical themes. So far they shared the stage with bands like The Accüsed, Ramming Speed, Alpha Tiger, Indyus and many more. The band finally released their first self-titled CD in late 2013 - also available as a limited cassette tape.

Search | Add | 3 | Alain Demari | Yapo Adopo Alain De Marie | With his first hit, Alain Demari burst the screen. On radio and tabloids. The young prodigal of Akyé music seduces and wins the sympathy of music lovers. In particular the fairer sex. When he was born, Alain had given up by his father ... and that, at one point, disrupted his childhood. Fortunately, he will grow up in an environment of women, where he has received a lot of tenderness. His mother cradles little Alain and both form a "bond" until 2000, when Alain decides to go to France in order to embrace a real career as a musician. He has the support of his mother. But at the same time, she worries about the loneliness that she will have to do without her adored son. Alain, it must be emphasized, was his only son. He leaves donations. But whenever his mother had a problem, Alain immediately returned to his Ananguié village, to give his support to the one who has always guided his steps. One of his plans was to allow his mother to go to Paris. In 2001, she fell ill. This wish will not come true, because illness got the better of Mary (her mother) on June 12 of the same year. A real blow for Alain. The death of his mother affected him so much that he believed that his existence should end there ... He buried his mother with dignity. And, each time he is in possession of his guitar, the first note he "plucks" is a chorus in homage to Marie, his mother. |
