Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Igor Gil Ibero | Igor Gil Ibero | Basque electronic musician, born in 1977 and based in Iruña (Pamplona). [a=Igor Gil Ibero] has been playing live shows and producing music under different names (Broka, Hikikomorinoise, Produkzio Okerrak, Bizitza Kaotikoa, etc) since the late nineties. The most part of his music is produced with the aka "[a=Mailu]" ("Hammer" in basque language) . Igor describes his musical process as "therapy". As a result of this process, his musical compositions can cover a very wide range of styles that includes IDM, experimental, ambient, breakcore, industrial, electro, techno, house, jazz, funk, breakbeat, drum & bass or a very own music style called by himself as "euskobeat". Beyond this variety of musical proposals, Igor's music is recognizable by his characteristic way of playing the piano and keyboards. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Michael Haneke | Austrian film director and screenwriter (b. 23 March 1942, Munich, Germany). Michael Haneke authored twelve feature-length films, often reflecting modern society's most controversial topics. Praised for outstanding cinematography and meticulous approach to every aspect of his oeuvre, Haneke won over 100 prestigious accolades. He is the only Austrian director to earn two Palme d'Or awards at the Cannes Film Festival in three years (and just the seventh filmmaker in the competition's history who achieved this). Michael Haneke worked in theater, staging several plays by Goethe, Strindberg and [a=Heinrich von Kleist], and two of Mozart's operas: Don Giovanni (2006) at the [l=Opéra National de Paris] at Palais Garnier and Così fan Tutte (2013) for Madrid's [l=Teatro Real]. He also teaches at MDW's Film Academy in Vienna. Haneke grew up in a family of professional actors; his mother later remarried composer [a=Alexander Steinbrecher]. Michael studied at Vienna University but didn't excel academically, spending more time at local movie theaters. In 1974, he debuted as a TV director, producing seven television films and mini-series for various Austrian and German broadcasters and channels over the next fifteen years, such as [l=Südwestfunk], [l=ORF], [l=ZDF], [l=Sender Freies Berlin] and [l=Saarländischer Rundfunk]. In May 1989, Haneke's first feature-length film, The Seventh Continent, premiered to much notoriety in Cannes and Munich, portraying an unmotivated and unexplained murder-suicide of a prosperous, "cookie-cutter" bourgeois family. In one of the cornerstone scenes, they cut all their cash and flush it down the toilet. Haneke predicted it would be the most offensive and disturbing for the audience; he claimed that in modern society, "the idea of destroying money is more taboo than parents killing their child and themselves." Indeed, he later witnessed people walking out of the cinema in shock during the money-flushing scene. The Seventh Continent started Michael Haneke's "emotional glaciation" trilogy, which explored the progressive societal alienation in Austria, followed by Benny's Video (1992) and 71 Fragments of a Chronology of Chance (94). It also established some recurring traits in Haneke's films, such as almost exclusively diegetic music (i.e., no "offscreen" soundtrack besides what characters are playing or listening to). The movie won the [l=Film Fest Gent]'s "Georges Delerue Prize" for Best Use of Music in Film. In 1997, Michael Haneke wrote and directed Funny Games, filmed by [a=Jürgen Jürges] and starring [a=Ulrich Mühe] with [a=Susanne Lothar] as lead characters (who are married in real life and frequently worked with Haneke), and [a=Frank Giering] as one of the villains. Commonly misunderstood as horror or "slasher," the movie was created as a commentary on how violence is presented in the media — extremely brutal, yet entirely pointless. Following a "mainstream" breakthrough with his 2001 French film The Piano Teacher and the commercial success of Cachè (2005), Haneke revisited "Funny Games" a decade later — this time, as he always intended, set in Hollywood. Premiered in October 2007 at [l=BFI]'s London Film Festival and in January 2008 at [l=Sundance Film Festival] in the USA, Funny Games was a rare example of a "shot-for-shot" remake. Haneke used the same house's interior and props and collaborated with distinguished cinematographer [a=Darius Khondji], painstakingly replicating every detail, including lighting and back tones in every frame. Thus, the only difference was in the English-speaking cast, featuring [a=Tim Roth] with [a=Naomi Watts] as a tortured couple and [a=Michael Pitt] with [a=Brady Corbet] as assailants. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Zanderman | Zanderman are a band of classic rock ‘n’ roll sensibilities with a contemporary twist. Their music is both emotive and uplifting combining soaring vocals with campfire melodies. Zanderman arose out of the ashes of the band ‘Addict’ in January 2000. After recording a radically different second album in New Orleans in summer ’99, working with Malcolm Burns and Emmy Lou Harris, Addict dissolved into a new musical direction and freedom and Zanderman was born. Along with a new bass player came a renewed sense of creative liberation. Drawing on influences as varied as Neil Young, the Beatles, The Byrds, Beck and REM six months were spent writing as the band dynamic evolved. The philosophy at the heart of the band is as important as the music; "collectively we are positive, optimistic people and we want to communicate this through our music. We want to unite people, to inspire them". Zanderman are: Mark Aston – Vocals Nikolaj Juel – Guitar Bastian Juel – Bass Luke Bullen – Drums | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Dookie Bros | The Dookie Bros – Why the name? Because they drop nothin’ but hard shit. This explosive Hip Hop duo from the GTA, made up of veteran producer/MC Shylow and razor-sharp newcomer Franchise, is stomping through the underground with unapologetic style. Their sound? A potent mix of hard beats and heavy rhymes, soaked in the spirit of the Golden Era but built for today. Funky, filthy, and undeniably fresh. Shylow’s resume reads like a Hip Hop head’s dream crate — he's featured on songs with legends like DJ Premier, Conway the Machine, The LOX, Benny the Butcher, and Pharoahe Monch. He’s been crafting heat behind the scenes and on the mic since his teens, performing internationally and bringing boom-bap energy to every beat. Franchise, on the other hand, brings a unique voice, sharp wit, and a deep respect for lyrical artistry. Inspired by icons like Nas, Q-Tip, and Phife, he’s been sharpening his pen for over a decade and is now fully unleashed. The Dookie Bros made their filthy debut with “Shit On ‘Em”, followed by the full-length album When the Shit Hits the Fan in 2022 — a project praised for its creativity, grime, and authenticity. But don’t let the toilet humor fool you — behind the name is a serious love for the craft and bars that can clean out the competition. Their origin story? The two met at a local record shop, bonded over their love of Hip Hop, and one day Polo hunting downtown, Franchise joked, “We should call ourselves the Dookie Bros and rap about being the shit.” That same day, they recorded their first track. The rest is a wild, funky history in the making. Since then, they’ve made noise on shows like DJ Premier’s "Live from HeadQCourterz", DJ Eclipse’s "Rap Is Outta Control", and Southern Vanguard Radio, and started blazing stages live in 2023. Whether they’re dropping tracks, streaming DJ sets on Twitch, or chopping it up with fans on social media, Shy and Franchise stay locked in with their audience. With new music always on the way and no signs of slowing down, the Dookie Bros are here to stay — dirty, dedicated, and deadly on the mic. | |
