Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Aleksandra Kabakova | Aleksandra Kabakova | Aleksandra Kabakova is an artist from St Petersburg, Russia. Since 2008 working on worldwide commissions, including book and magazine illustrations, greeting cards, CD covers etc. "Working primarily with pen, ink, pencil and watercolour, the sensitive, young creative’s art is both simplistic and involved – utilising basic shapes and line work to create patterned, black and white graphic works. At times her imagery feels melancholic but devoid of cynicism, then carefree & playful whilst always distinctly feminine and delicate". James Watkins "In my works I would like to show an emotional perception of a glimpse of a life span, its mood and atmosphere. It can be an emotional splash or a total quietness and melancholy, when the wind has abated and all around has stood. I believe that not only people have emotions, but also all the things around us. Slow movement of clouds, shades of trees, soaring of birds, falling of a raindrop, old boats, houses, street lights, electric mains, branches of trees, snag trees and blades of grass create their own special mood of the moment. We can feel their loneliness, sadness, expectation and hope that fleeting mood of a moment which I want to capture. Frequent subjects of my works are trees and a floral subject matter in general. Trees for me are similar to people, as unique, mysterious and beautiful, as people with their individual characters and specific features. Also I adore drawing birds, I love them since my childhood. I remember a story when my cousin and me have found a rook with a broken wing in the snow. The bird lived with us in the apartment until it completely recovered and was able to fly away. Birds are absolutely astonishing creatures, nobody has got feathers but them, and their feathers are so light and fragile, like petals of flowers. They soar freely above the earth seeing our world from a bird’s eye view". Aleksandra Kabakov For inquiries please contact me: aleksandra.kabakova@gmail.com www.kabakova.com |

Search | Add | 4 | Oliver Petersen | Olli Petersen | Olli Petersen (alias Oliver Petersen), another pseudonym "Olli Zischt" as a policeman in the Swabian rock theater group "Odeng", born in Stuttgart in 1966, is a German guitarist, singer, actor and entrepreneur. He was the guitarist of the New Age Electro Rock formation "Ricochet" from 1983 to 1984. Then guitarist and singer in "Scarlet Heels", a rock band from Stuttgart, who mixed their own songs with covers and in 1987 published a homage to the first victories of tennis legend Steffi Graf (Steffi's Rap). In 1989 he was a founding member of "Gonzo - Schwabenrock from Stuttgart". With this band he released 5 albums and a DVD from the 20th anniversary of the band's 23-year history. First attention came through TV appearances with Gonzo on the SWR show "Mundart & Musik" with Christina Reichert and Uwe Hübner at the beginning of the 90s and the SWR-Landesschau, which was broadcast nationwide. Later through joint appearances with the Swabian rock legends Alexander Köberlein and Wolle Kriwanek (IGA Stuttgart 1993, live broadcast on Radio 7 with around 100,000 listeners on the radio and around 2,500 viewers live on the Killesberg open-air stage). Last but not least, as a band member of Gonzo, he was part of the exhibition and the accompanying volume "Swabian Pictures - For the Construction of a Regional Character" of the Ludwig Uhland Institute for Empirical Cultural Studies at the University of Tübingen. After leaving Gonzo, he founded the Swabian rock theater formation "Odeng" with other colleagues from the local music scene in the greater Stuttgart area. Here, own songs in Swabian dialect were combined with a criminalistic stage play in dialect, in which traditional Swabian dishes combined with a dialect rock theater were presented as a "full Swabian event" for the first time. In 2014 he took first place in the audience voting at the TROLLINGER SONG CONTEST of the wine cooperative in the Stuttgart area with ODENG and the song "Trollinger, guader Wei für guade Leut" ("Trollinger, good wine for good people"). In addition to his work as a musician and independent management consultant (M&A consultant), he appeared from time to time in supporting roles in various TV formats from 2011 onwards. Most recently in 2019 as a gardener in the ZDF series SOKO-Stuttgart in german television. Petersen is married and lives in Stuttgart. |

Search | Add | 4 | Folklorni Ansambl "Milica Križan" | HKUD "Osijek 1862" | As an expression of necessity of cultural, music, and social activities and simultaneous feeling of affiliation to the Croatian and Central European civilization, a cultural artistic work has always been continuous, although the names were altered and activities adjusted to the contemporaneous needs. Nonetheless, it was always done with an aim to preserve a Croatian national and domestic identity, observable in the following examples: - In 1862, the establishment of the First Osijek Singing Company (FOSC); - In 1885, the FOSC is restyled as Sloga (Harmony); - In 1907, the Sloga changes its name into the Kuhač Croatian Singing and Music Company (CSMC). In the follow-up period preceding WW II, the CSMC's activities expressed a profound feeling of veneration when it comes to the Croatian music and singing, thus representing a nucleus of the Osijek citizens' general Croatian cultural endeavors. Subsequent to WW II, the CSMC´s activities ended, but a new Milica Križan Youth Cultural Artistic Company was founded on the bases of music and singing amateurism. The Milica Križan Youth Cultural-Artistic Company worked under this name till November 19, 1991, when its appellation was changed into the Osijek 1862 Croatian Cultural-Artistic Company (CCAC). From its beginnings, the Osijek 1862 CCAC cultural, artistic, and social program was directted toward the basic music an amateurism principles and organization of gatherings, education, and skilled training dedicated to the school, university, and working youth of Osijek and its suburbia, as well as to the original music and traditional folklore dances of Slavonia and other Croatian regions. The Company also directs the youth to the cultural and artistic work in their social and working environments. Faunded and guided by these principles for already the 14th decade, the Osijek 1862 CCAC contributes to these efforts by virtue of its performances and instrumentals and the flight of its songs and melodies throughout Croatia and abroad. Its voices motions, and tamburitzas merrily speak on behalf of the free bread on the table of peace. The distinguished and experienced artists, music pedagogues, numerous enthusiasts, skilled leaders and performers do this kind of work. All choreographies are based on the popular customs, original songs, and instrument playing in the Croatian folkloric areas. This necessitates a superior dancing and singing technique as well as an expressive vocalization. Thus, the Osijek 1862 CCAC has always been a welcomed quest at all domestic and foreign festivals. Numerous concerts in Croatia's cities and towns have enabled the Company to be equally praised by the experts in the traditional Croatian culture and by its large audience. On its tours in Italy, Hungary, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Sweden, FRG, USA, Canada, Luxembourg, Greece, Slovenia, France, Switzerland, Spain, Egypt, Vatican City, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, China, Malaysia, Mexico, India, etc., the Osijek 1862 CCAC represented a traditional Croatian folkloric art at its best, having connected a sharp contrast of different folkloric areas into an esthetic entirety, sometimes by an impulsive temperament and sometimes by a melancholic symphony of movements, sounds, shapes and colors. The Osijek 1862 CCAC is a regular guest of the Croatian radio and TV broadcasts but has also taken part in numerous radio and TV shows abroad, in Poland, Sweden, FRG, the Netherlands, USA, Egypt, etc. The Company has recorded two LP´s, two audio, and seven videotapes. Many honorary awards decorating the Company's showcase cabinets testify of the Osijek 1862 CCAC's importance to its environment. In addition to numerous prizes won in Croatia, many awards have also been conferred to the Osijek 1862 CCAC abroad. Artistically mentored by of one of the most famous Croatian and world ethnologists, choreographers, and scientists, Dr. Ivan Ivančan, the Osijek 1862 CCAC is successfully led by the artistic dancing master Damir Doležal and the artistic music master Dušan Topić, aided by the vocal instructor, Prof. Dinko Fio. Their professional, artistic, and pedagogic advices and ideas are followed by 70 members (dancers, singers, and instrumentalists) in the A group and ca. 300 active members in other (B and C) groups. Search | Add | 4 | D. Lorean | 30 April 1984. The birth of D. Lorean. A humanoid child was found amongst the embers of classic Motown, the spirit of the electro-pop era and the prospect of the fall of the Iron Curtain. Their first message beamed to the future was the single Hardwired, a dark, sleazy missive of italo-disco-infused pop, formed with their kindred musical spirit Damocles. D. Lorean went on to perform with soul goddess Jocelyn Brown and UK synth heroes Hurts, and followed in the latter's footsteps by picking up regular international airplay in the Benelux and Eastern Europe before making it in their home territory. D. Lorean will be crash landing at the I Venti D'Azzurro Italo Disco party in Milan, Italy on 7 May 2016. | |
