Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

In 1999, he begins to ‘play’ with music with a simple software on PlayStation. He starts to get into the music world in 2005, switching to Mac and using Logic, a well-known music production software. After so many years of study and attempts, in 2012 enters into the production world, using the pseudonym ‘Il Viaggiatore’ with the Gamepad Records independent label, debuting with the single ‘Anima’, containing three electronic tracks. One year later, Gian Paolo releases EP ‘Fotogrammi Di Vita’, a mini collection of unpublished tracks. The path of Gian Paolo is colored by other projects, including another single titled ‘Rinascita’ in May 2012 and a few months later, in November, the album ‘Ali Di Azzurro’, containing 20 songs. In Gamepad Records, Gian Paolo continues to produce other tracks and various remixes of songs by other producers. His tracks are placed in various compilations. In 2013 Gian Paolo produces the single ‘Melancholy’ on Italo Rumble Digital independent label, managed by the producer Salvatore De Rubis. He continues to work for both labels and in September of 2014, after a brief stop, Gian Paolo leaves ‘Il Viaggiatore’ pseudonym and he signs with his real name, he produces the single ‘Spirit’ with the orchestral introduction produced by Ruben Paganelli, a well-known musician, arranger and composer who also worked in Media Records alongside Gigi D’Agostino. The 2015 is surrounded by a variety of productions that Gian Paolo produces on its own digital label. In February 2016 Gian Paolo sets up the record label Fountains Records. Time will tell… |

Search | Add | 4 | Dusty Watt | Dr Allan Charles Watt | Dusty Watt (real name Dr Allan Charles Watt) joined the NZ Army Territorial Reserve Force in 1978 and 1980 transferred to the Regular Force. He served a total time of 17 1/2 years combined service in the Regular and Reserve Forces. He further served with the NZ Police as a sworn officer for around 9 years. After which he attended University and completed numerous qualifications, the highest being a PhD in Forensic Computing. What does this have to do with the music? Nothing, but as the writer of this album it is worth a mention. At age 12 whilst attending the early years of high school, with a group of others attended guitar lessons and soon realised he had a natural aptitude for the instrument. Apart from a few talent quests in his younger years and the odd Karaoke appearance, until now has never written any music or performed on a stage as a musician. Inspired by his maternal Grandfather Phillip Charles McBarron, who was shot and wounded in the fields of the Somme in August 1918, in 2014 Dusty commenced writing songs in commemoration of the 100 years of the ANZACs involvement in the Great War. He wrote the tunes and lyrics for all the songs on the album “The Ghost of the Somme”. After this he ventured into a new era, this time recording his own songs and the album “The Dusty Trail” and it is slowly developing. I hope you enjoy my music. |

Search | Add | 4 | Hidden Highways | Hidden Highways is a musical collaboration between [a=Carol Anne McGowan] and [a=Tim V Smyth]. Delivering quiet Americana-inflected folk, combining waltzing acoustic guitars, blended harmonies and brooding ambiance. The two first started working together in late 2010 and their eponymous four-track EP was released in April 2012 on [l=Out On A Limb Records]. They have toured at home and abroad sharing stages with The Staves, Lucy Rose, Terry Reid and John Smith amongst others. In the midst of all of that, Hidden Highways were awarded the RTÉ/RAAP breakthrough bursary for best emerging musical performers in their genre. 'Old Hearts Reborn' the duo's full length studio album was released in September 2013 on Out On A Limb Records and has garnered much critical praise. "...for those who appreciate simple, honest songwriting, this is gorgeous stuff" - The Irish Times ☆☆☆☆ "Potential album of the year...this is pure songwriting at its absolute best" - Hot Press ☆☆☆☆ "Road trip records - the ones that inspire you to pick somewhere and just get going in your very own movie. Neil Young's After the Gold Rush, Tom Waits' Closing Time and Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska are three of the greatest, but there's always room for a new soundtrack, and that's where the aptly-monikered Hidden Highways come in." - Harry Guerin, RTÉ ☆☆☆☆ "Hidden Highways have delivered one of the most strikingly lovely Irish debut albums in recent times, a haunting collection of songs of quiet power and tear-stained beauty." - Entertainment.ie ☆☆☆½ "...an incredible collection of songs that are thoroughly crafted and utterly timeless...they deliver songs that don't just aspire to Americana, but transcend it." - The Irish Mirror

Search | Add | 4 | Johnny Aladdin | John B. Alagna | Johnny Aladdin b. Nov. 27, 1914, Monessen, PA, d. Jan. 14, 1987, Hilton Head Island, SC. Johnny started playing the piano at age five. About 1930, at age 16, Johnny auditioned in Pittsburgh for the Chicago based Husk O'Hare band. He toured with them for four years as the featured pianist and arranger. He also composed many of the band's songs. He attended school on the road, returning home just long enough to finish high school. Later, he also made time to attend Chicago's American Conservatory of Music. After the O'Hare band broke up, he went to work with the Larry Funk Orchestra, out of Cleveland, OH, for three and a half years. There, he worked with music newcomers Vaughn Monroe and Helen O'Connell. Over the years he also worked with the such Bands as The Al Trace Band, about 1946-47 (where Al gave him the "Aladdin" moniker), The Gray Gordon Orchestra, and 'The Eric Langer Orchestra', about 1948-1950. While the piano was his primary instrument, he was also accomplished at: Trumpet, Trombone and Baritone horn. He studied with concert pianist, Professor Leo Ornstein of Philadelphia and he earned a music teaching degree under Ornstein's tutelage. During World War 2, he was a Master Sergeant attached to the 94th Army Ground Forces, then stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. There he organized (as the pianist) a six piece band that toured for three years, with Dick Powell as the movie-star singer, entertaining the troops. This little Army band, called "The Cracker Dust Six", won top honors in a nationwide contest being judged by none other than Benny Goodman. After the war, he formed his own New York based 17 piece Big Band known as the "Johnny Aladdin's Society Band". Among the well known clubs and hotels of the East Coast area they played were the Drake Hotel, the Aquarium, The Mt. Washington, Coney Island, and Umbriago's. When the band went on tour, it often included Chicago hotels such as the Blackstone, the La Salle, and the Ambassador. The band played a 32 week return engagement at the Bismarck Hotel. Starting in the late 1950's, with the ending of the Big Band era, he switched his focus from Big Band and Swing music to smaller trios of Piano, Upright Bass, and Drums playing dinner and dancing music (with a strong leaning toward Broadway Show tunes), at the big hotels in Nassau, Bahamas and all over South Florida. Johnny cut two L.P. records and two 45's during his career. While mainly recalled today as a band leader, he was also a fine song composer. Later, he also wrote commercial Jingles. He was a true gentlemen in every respect, and a musician who was second-to-none. Johnny was 73 when he died. He's buried at the Veterans National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC. |

After a long break, she then released her CD Liv on her own label in October 2005, where the song "Älskade barn" has been played on Sweden's Radio P4 and many local stations. "Älskade barn" was for a period the most requested song on Radio Gävleborg. In the summer of 2008, Green released another CD with 12 new tracks - Mitt bultande hjärta. It was a somewhat more beat-based CD with a wide range of genres - everything from the symphonic Lyss till den kärlek to the rock ballad Du är inte ensam. Green's music is built around her strong and self-revealing lyrics which are arranged and processed by her producer [a931758]. Search | Add | 4 | Virtual Trio | Virtual Trio are a collective of Irish musicians formed in 2008. They released their debut album Grief Proof Pauper in 2012. Their ninth album Drift, released 3rd May 2022. The group played together for the first time in 2017, after nearly 10 years of working together across continents. Their 2012 debut album Grief Proof Pauper was the culmination of 4 years of work, with emigration starting their collaboration across multiple continents. They have continued intercontinental collaboration since, and employ diverse methods to create music - their 2014 album Departures was improvised and recorded in one day, Dextor Gordon's words became a perfect glue for 2015's 16 minute long Fishbowl, Noam Chomsky was employed for vocals on 2016's Doing Great (he was clear that it "sounds fine"!), and the group released 3 albums and a single in June 2018 to celebrate a decade of fun. 2020's Six marked a shift for the group towards more accessible and lively music, although they twisted towards weird again with 2021's genre hopping meditative Vile Circus Body Scan. Their exploration of synthesizers brought them to a more relaxed (and sometimes dark) place with 2021's Cinema and 2022's Drift.

В 2006 году группа заняла первое место в Top for 2006 musical label Arisk Star.

Search | Add | 4 | Paulão Sakae Tahira | Paulo Sakae Tahira | Respected Brazilian DJ and music researcher DJ Paulão gives Spannered a sniff of his sprawling record collection When it comes to digging up lost Brazilian classics, Paulo Sakae Tahira is something of an archaeologist. A full-time researcher of música brasileira from the second half of the 20th century, Paulão (that's 'Big Paul', to non-Portuguese speakers) isn't, thankfully, the kind of vinyl addict who keeps his prized finds hidden away under lock and key; his DJ performances have taken him all over Brazil, and as far afield as France, Spain and Switzerland. Hailing from the concrete jungle of São Paulo, Paulão moved to the nearby city of Campinas in the early nineties, where he developed both his skills as a DJ and his reputation as a discerning connoisseur of his country's music (with particular focus to the 60s and 70s). There he helped to establish Rádio Muda, a terrestrial radio project to which he still contributes. Together with friends, he was responsible for bringing big name acts to Campinas during the nineties with a series of seminal parties, Festas Black. In the years since, Paulão has been involved in promoting various other events, and has played alongside many of the country's best-known artists. He also writes for the excellent Brazilian music site Gafieiras. Now based back in São Paulo, Paulão is currently finalising details of his second European tour (you can find out where and when to catch him by visiting his site). His scope as a record selector extends far beyond the shores of Brazil, to Afrobeat, New Orleans jazz and various other strains of Black music and rare groove, but if you want a taste of real deal Brazilian hot stuff, check this out... |

Search | Add | 4 | Кали Жантлеуов | Қали Жантілеуов | Kali Zhantleuvov (1902-1970) - dombra player from Kazakhstan. |
