Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Dwight Hayden | Dwight Anthony Hayden | Songwriter, rapper, producer and vocalist Dwight Anthony Hayden aka MC Dilly was born in Jamaica, close to Port Antonio, one of the main tourist area. He got interested in music at a very early age : he did his first appearance at a local stage show as he was only 9. Some years later, be moved to Bronx (New York), where he hooked up with reggae dancehall sound, building his American fan base. After graduating Truman High School, he did not have any money for college. So he joined the US Army, which brought him to Germany. There, he continued his musical carreer by collaborating with Sahara music and Intercord records, out of Fulda and Stuttgart. He learned how to perform and record professionally. He also picked up on producing, arranging, mixing and song writing. This is how Dwight became ragga-rapper for the project 2 For Love, his first major project. With ex hair model Jacky, they released two singles and toured all over Germany, performing with some of Europe's big names such as La Bouche, DJ Bobo, Reel 2 Real. and C-block. He also contributed to Matchboxx Love Peace And Harmony. Then, Dwight went back to America to build his recording company and label UNT Records in the Midwest. He released 2 compilations under that label : Mercenaries and Colabo. In spite of many attempts, he did not got the expected success, so finally Dwight went back to Europe, this time Italy. He met DJ Lele Finetto who let him freestyle in the clubs in Vicenza, gaining popularity among a military community. Then he started collaborating with DJ Tony Prince who wanted him as a vocalist. He worked in Venice, Milan, Florence, Rome, Bologna, Treviso, Verona, Rimini and Naples, and also visited neighboring countries (Slovania, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary and Spain). 2004 : he contributed to Ottomix's single Raggasex and to PLM's The Big Casino "Hoes" (with vocals by Reuben Ehigie, production by Lele Finetto and Ottomix). He started touring Europe and Asia. He also went to Afghanistan and Iraq with MWR and AKA Productions for the US military intertaining soldiers and family members across the globe. 2005 : he released his solo album Da Don under UNT Productions. He describes the style as dancehall reggae with a Hip Hop twist. He also released two singles (Run, Bounce) from the album. |

Search | Add | 3 | Phonic Psychomimesis | Phonic Psychomimesis was conceived at the fall of 2009 in Riga, by two course-mates of philosophy studies who united their will to create an experimental works of sound. The participants of the project are confederates hardcore reflecting on the sound art - they come together irregularly to work on specific topics. The duo pays close attention to various strange sound details of objects and occurences that inhabit our everyday life and space around us - both associatively independent from their materialistic origins or simply vivid and special audio marginalities, viewing them as separate beings and enjoying their sonic autonomy. Guys are perceiving the beauty of these sounds exactly in their intangibility and, in order to experience them as long as possible, they seek to adopt them and to produce an ideally fixed, finite loop similar to gif image. Phonic Psychomimesis are using the zoom of their hearing, makes a sonic autopsy, removing the sounds out of their surroundings and inspecting them separately under the magnifying glass. Project works with the imaginative analysis of sound, focusing on constructing unreal audio situations where the result of the synthesis of different records has rather purely aesthetically grasped identity than empirically descriptive and documenting side. There are dense compositions made, where the thick structures of sound leaves a very tiny space for conceptually stimulated emotional atmospheres. The title of the project should be understood as a mimetic imitation of basic-atoms of psychical conditions via sound. In the theories of mind psychomema is an analogue for semema or the core element of the meaning in semantics.

Their debut album 'Annunaki' was released on Black Widow Records in 2017, consisting of unusual spaced-out material over the course of more than 100 minutes playing time. This is art influencing art influencing art, namely Hawkwind’s influence on Acid Mother’s Temple then influencing Chromium Hawk Machine, forming the new Space Rock music for the intrepid listener. The band reinvent a sound mass of sax, synths, guitar, bass, drums, and some processed voices without form, add some rhythmic chanting and a motorik beat emerges from this sonic sound and of course sax noodling on force.

Search | Add | 3 | Leonid Sabaneev | Леонид Леонидович Сабанеев [Leonid Leonidovich Sabaneyev] | Born: 1881-10-01 (Moscow, Russia) Died: June 03, 1968 (Antibes, France) Leonid Sabaneev was a Russian musicologist, music critic, composer and scientist. Leonid Sabaneev [preferable & more common form is 'Sabaneyev'] was a Russian composer, musicologist, music critic & scientist. Son of a prominent naturalist & hunting/fishing expert, he studied mathematics, physics & natural sciences at the Moscow University while additionally attending historical/philological courses. Also, he was able to receive a high-class musical education, with some of the best teachers around (e.g. [a= Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov], among others). By 1920s he became a famous – if rather scandalous & (self-)contradictory - music critic; as well as a music theorist, both highly innovative & inconsistent. A colourful & eccentric person, he was a close friend of [a= Alexander Scriabine] & a good acquaintance of many significant (musical or not) figures of the era, impressions of which relations later finding themselves in print in his highly acclaimed memoirs. However, almost throughout his life, regularly though not exactly prolifically, he has been writing his own music – beginning at the turn of the 20th century & ending (obviously/mostly) somewhere in 1940s. He finished orchestration score for a grandiose oratorio 'The Revelation of St. John' (aka simply 'Apocalypse'), high-demanding & time-devouring on the author's part, in 1940; still, according to reports, he continued working at the opus until his last years. The score is believed to be entombed up to this day in some US archives, unpublished. Yielding to looming shadows of dreadful changes, Sabaneyev left Russia in 1926 & relocated to Paris where he was still engaged in busy & diverse music-related activities (composed/staged a ballet; published a good book on history of Russian music; etc.). Subsequently he dwelled, for limited spells of time, in London & US. During all his time in emigration Sabaneyev never stopped working actively in many authoritative music periodicals; he also wrote music for films. He returned to France, a 'home regained' of Russian emigration, in 1933 where he died in Cap d'Antibes near Nice in October 1st, 1968. Sabaneyev's music – almost inevitably though never too heavily influenced by Scriabin & other late Romantics, was, as a matter of fact, another, divergent, going further & beyond the conventional music conceptions even of those revolutionary times; technically much complex yet unusually brittle in it’s moods, innately bearing some weird ‘romantic’ kind of darkness. It obviously hasn’t struck a chord with his contemporaries, either in Russia or in the West, & has mostly laid in obscurity for many decades, with only some broader-minded &/or rara-avis-catcher performers (like, e.g., [a= Marc-André Hamelin]) trying it out once in a while. In 2012, three daring & already well-experienced musicians has recorded two essential Sabaneyev’s 1920’s piano works - treated with all due care & exactness, rendered with inspirational sincerity, & recorded with top-notch modern quality - in Munich’s BR Studios. Accordingly, a CD (‘Piano Trios’) was issued on GENUIN label which has caused quite a stir & won much acclaim among music connoisseurs’ circles. Three years later a double CD, ‘The Complete Works for Piano Vol. 1’ came from GENUIN, containing a dozen small piano pieces performed by [a= Michael Schäfer (5)], the pianist from the previous recording; it equally & deservedly garnered most positive reviews. Sabaneyev’s one-year elder brother, Boris Sabaneyev ([a= Борис Сабанеев]), who hasn’t survived the Russian Red Revolution, was also a musician: classical organist, organ composer & theorist, and pedagogue. On the 3-figure photo (among those linked to on this page), left to right, are: L. Sabaneyev; A. Scriabin; Tatiana Schloezer (Scriabin's Muse, as also his common-law wife). |

Their song "If He Can Fight Like He Can Love (Good Night, Germany)" peaked at #3 in the US in August of 1918. The names 'The Farber Girls' and 'The Farber Sisters' were interchangeable, often appearing in publications at the same time. Irene Faber sang duet wit Lewis James 'On the Level You're a LittleDevil (But I'll Soon Make an Angel Out of You)' while Constance did some solo recordings including 'They Were All Out of Step But Jim'.

Prior to his music career Mirko played for Partizan and Radnički basketball clubs. Dunked his first basketball at the age of 12 and just a few years later won the Serbian and Yugoslav junior championships. Graduated from 5th Belgrade gymnasium, social studies. At that time, he wrote as an associate of the high school paper Virus. Began pursuing music by playing guitar and writing songs. Member of the ska punk band Samostalni referenti as guitarist and backing vocalist. Founding member of the progressive crossover band RARE. RARE’s career start and presentation to a broader public came after the victory in the 2000 Urban demo fest, in a competition of 137 bands that applied from all parts of the then Yugoslavia. Mirko has released two studio albums with RARE - Breathing and Joyz, made 6 videos, held over 100 concerts all over Serbia and the region and gave hundreds of TV, radio and newspaper interviews. He performed at the biggest Serbian music festivals (Exit, Beer fest) and shared the stage with the most popular bands in the country. Besides the role of singer and front man, he wrote the lyrics for all of his songs, also collaborating as lyricist on albums by various authors writing both in Serbian and English. The band’s second album (2006) marked his debut as producer. At the sametime, he collaborated with Ana Stanić, Madame Piano and Aleksandra Kovač. During his musical career, he drifted into applied music and assumed a role in composing and producing musical themes for TV shows (Mile vs. transition), as well as numerous TV and radio commercials, collaborating with clients such as MT:S, Bitef, Banca Intesa, Coca Cola, Bambi, Sinalco, Nestle etc. Tried his hand at acting, appearing in several TV commercials, which is something he plans on continuing to do in the future. Plays guitar, bass, percussions and likes to think he can play the drums J As founder and owner of the HUSKEE music studio, Mirko lives and works in Belgrade. |
Search | Add | 3 | Evil Farm Children | Taking their name from a synopsis of the B-grade, horror flick, Blood on Satan’s Claw, EVIL FARM CHILDREN is a raw and raunchy trio from Canada’s capital with a reputation for intense stage shows. Their sound is real rock’n’roll, with a roots-rock flavour. The band can easily do a rocking surf instrumental with the fervor of Dick Dale, and, in a heartbeat, shift gears to roll right into a rockin’ rockabilly rave up, or a Stooges influenced, feedback infused, pounding rock’n’roll song. Formed in the summer of 2005, this trio was regularly playing many of Ottawa’s live music venues, as well as traveling to play various clubs in Toronto, Montreal, London, Hamilton, Peterborough, and several other towns in Southern Ontario. They performed at the 2008 Ottawa Blues Festival, one of the most popular music festivals in North America. Their original material, as captured in their recordings (see below) matters most, but for their live shows, the band likes to have fun by whipping out some heavily “Evil-ized” versions of songs by the likes of Max Webster, Dick Dale, Black Sabbath, Tom Waits, Deke Dickerson, Link Wray, The Cramps, and The Runaways.
