Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Born around 1920s, she was the daughter Vitthalrao Pradhan and Tarabai. Like her contemporaries (Shanta Apte etc), Snehaprabha spent a culturally diverse childhood. The first 10 years of her life took her to Nagpur, Bombay, Poona, Delhi, Calcutta, Lahore and other places. As the story goes, by the age of 18, she was already fluent in 4 languages. Her love for animals was legendary. Dogs and cats and birds were her best friends, and she longed for the day when she would be a doctor, no doubt to take care of humans and animals alike. Sadly, she never went past a couple of years of college. It was probably around the late ’30s, that she got the first jolt of reality. Her father had left the family some years ago, and her mom Tarabai was taken ill, and could no longer support the family. Movies were the last thing on Snehprabha’s mind, but circumstances and good contacts i.e. Chimanbhai Desai of Bombay Talkies led to the first few assignments in films like Saubhagya (1940), Civil Marriage (1940), and Sajani (1940). Thanks to Chimanbhai Desai, she got the first lead role of her career opposite Kishore Sahu in Bombay Talkies’ Punarmilan (1940) – music by Ramchandra Pal with possibly some orchestral guidance by Saraswati Devi. The most popular song of Snehaprabha’s music career was “naacho naacho pyaare man ke mor”. Punarmilan became the biggest hit of her film career and it also introduced her to Kishore Sahu. They met, fell in love, and tied the knot, but the marriage lasted about a year. In the early ’40s, there she was, fending for herself all over again. The divorce made the tabloids. She was upset, and talked about responsible journalism, but did not go any further. Also around this time, she connected with the Master Vinayak’s circle. Coincidentally, a 13-year old Lata Dinanath Mangeshkar was desperately looking for a job around 1942. A Vinayak colleague (R.S. Junnarkar) was in the process of making Paahili Mangalaagaur (1942), and Snehaprabha fitted right in as the leading lady opposite Shahu Modak. The movie is a landmark because it got an A certificate on account of a suggestive bedroom sequence (dark screen, hushed background sounds). People saw this movie over and over again, and some even carried strong flashlights into the theatre, hoping to get more out of that one scene! Paahili Mangalaagaur was Lata’s first movie as a child actress. Snehaprabha and Lata sang a duet in this film, picturized on themselves. There is no question about it as Snehaprabha herself confirmed that in an early ’90s interview. Therfore, Snehprabha made history by singing the first ever duet with Lata. On Christmas day 1946, Tarabai died, a tired lady, very sick and very proud. Both of her parents had dedicated large parts of their lives to social work, particularly to the cause of literacy in India. That left no time for the material life. The daughter was always on her own, fiercely independent, utterly radical, outspoken, gentle, and strong. But this loss broke her. On one occasion, she tried to take her own life and failed. Sometime in the ’50s, Snehaprabha Pradhan married Dr. Shirodhkar, and came back to Bombay. She lived the last 40 years of her life in peace and relative oblivion, totally dedicated to social work and the stage. She died in 1993 |

Sgt 6 (aka Mark Henry) - vocals, guitar Rock Bottom (aka Dan Henry) - drums Subarton (aka Chris Subarton) - bass "The Dummies moved to NYC in 1996, shortly after recording their full length debut on Get Hip. Months later, the band decided they hated the way their ambitiously recorded album ended up being produced. They then got lean, mean, yet remained unclean, aiming for a heavier sound. Sgt 6 took over all guitar duties, while Subarton hopped over to bass. As a three piece, the band changed their name to the Sgt 6 Assault to drop the sloppy garage moniker/stigma. The band create the sound of true drug-addled, hate-inspired, precision punk rock in the form of one minute tunes... the sound that began echoing within the minds of these once-rural-now-urban transplantees. They first released a 5 song 7" EP through their own label, 007 Records; uncorked the second as a limited issue, one-sided jukebox single; then cut a tune for Philadelphia’s Carbon 14 Magazine. For their fourth release, the Assault recorded 2 cuts just prior to their collapse. Since 2009 Plexigo is leashed by the driving basslines and enlightning melodies of Goa Trance and Psytrance. After discovering the synapse twisting sound frequencies of a DJ-Set mixed by the old Goa stager “Stefan Ludley”, well known in the Rhein-Main area, he was instantly addicted to this kind of music. Stefan helped him to get a connection to the recording company “Crystallin Music” and Plexigo started to produce tracks which are characterised by his very own style. Hardly what you’d call a run-of-the-mill academician either; he seems more at home on the streets of Brooklyn where he grew up than in the halls of higher learning. Up until a year ago, when Bill walked into April & Blackwood hoping to sell a couple of songs, he had never thought of himself as a performer, but since then he has been attracting the attention of an ever-widening circle of “old pros” with his many talents. He has been approached to write Broadway shows and major TV commercials; the Fifth Dimension are recording one of his songs, and cover versions of many others are in the works. All indications are that Bill Puka is one of the major discoveries of the decade. His first album on Columbia, entitled simply “Bill Puka,’” was four months in the making and is one of the most sophisticated albums in pop music today. It’s appeal, however, is universal; “Sunshine Days” and “Nothing at All” are potential Top 40 hits, “Barbara Knows” and “She's Just That Way” are due for strong MOR airplay, and “Dry Spell,” “City Nights” and “Selling Yourself Out’ are destined to become underground classics. ‘Beautiful Bird” is a perfect one-minute gem in anybody’s bag. | Search | Add | 3 | WOUNDEDSPiRiT | 1989 - Formed in West Bromwich, WOUNDEDSPiRiT created a distinctive sound that had Steve Wright of Radio 1 and 2 fame screaming that this band sound like no one else they have a sound all to themselves, with whispering vocals, driving melodic guitars, blushing piano and a backline of bass and drums that would drive all night in the pouring rain to reach its audience. The band formed by Jason(Vocals) and Biggsy(Guitar) they where soon followed by Elton(Drums) and Terry(Bass), 1990 - the first ever gig was supporting the Wazzocks at the Prince of Wales in West Bromwich playing 15-30 min sets as there set grew, original songs included Bring me tears, Lithuania and Outside. The first cover song they played was a cover of U2s I Will Follow. 1991- saw the band play there first headline gig at George Salter High School where 3 of the band members attended. This would be the catlyst for the band to grow. 1991 - WOUNDEDSPiRiT appear on a compliation album called Local Heroes, the band had 3 songs appear on the Vinyl album Lithuania, Bring me tears and I dont Know. The album gave them there first taste of local press coverage and there music availble for the first time. Late 1991 the band recruited school friend Benno on guitar, adding more energy and songwriting into the mix the songs gave the band a fresher sound, gigs started to follow up and down the country with a headline gig at the Robey in London and Convent Garden, new demoes recorded gave the band songs that still feel and sound releveant today the Indie anthem 11Months,3weeks,6days and the more guitat driven track Higher. 1992 -Steve Wright on Radio one played 11Months3weeks6days, declaring that this band has a sound all to themselves. More press followed, the band recruited Jasons cousin Debbie onto keyboards 1995 - WOUNDEDSPiRiT music began to appear on numerous compliation albums before releasing their debut single “Alone Without You” in which achieved national and international airplay. 2000 - Tour of Spain promoting She Knows 2016 - Reformed for Judgestock concert 2017 - Recorded 11months,3weeks,6days at Cube studios Cornwall, video filmed at the home of West Bromwich Albion. 2018 - Debut album FOREVERyoung released 2019 - Taking Back Contol single released 2019 June 21st Winners Best Album at the BCMAwards 2020 3rd Jan Outside single released WOUNDEDSPiRiT a 6 piece indie/pop/rock band from the UK announce their return with a mix of synth/guitar driven hooks for their fans with the the release of their 2nd album U Me and the Ocean. The album is a follow up to the 2018 award winning debut album FOREVERyoung. U Me and the Ocean is released on all platforms and on physical copies CD and Blue Vinyl WOUNDEDSPiRiT plan to tour the album in late 2021, singles from the album in 2021 include IN THE MOMENT which will be released with a full video feature in Spring 2021. | |
