Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Carol Dodds In the chronicles of our industry, when listing the most technologically advanced, visually audacious concert tours, U2’s Zoo TV is among the top. The 1992-93 video-heavy phenomenon was an ostentatiously staged multimedia experience intended to overload the senses. Whatever the band’s intention, its dazzling use of video left its mark, and that was emblematic of the work of Video Director Carol Dodds. As a video pioneer and innovator, she is equally technically proficient and artistically inclined. (She and Willie Williams would win an LDI Designer of the Year award for their work on this tour.) And this five-leg, 157-show world tour was just one of the many groundbreaking shows where Dodds was a trendsetter. There is also her work with David Bowie’s Sound+Vision tour, Madonna’s Drowned World tour, and Amnesty International’s Human Rights Now! tour. She was also one of the five directors of Woodstock 1999 worldwide live pay-per-view. Others she’s worked with through the years include Cyndi Lauper, Roger Waters, Todd Rundgren, Marvin Gaye, Toto, Ricky Martin, Paula Abdul, Mariah Carey, the Eagles, KD Lang, and Michael McDonald. Perhaps her work seen most was with Bruce Springsteen and most recently, Jimmy Buffett.

Search Add 3 Daddy Twan Shala S. T. Emmanuel Little is known about Daddy Twan. His past lays somewhere in the shades of the island of St. Lucia where he is told to have been a smuggler to make a living. His kind of Reggae is cool, dark, positive, and powerful, but most of all it is charismatic and it looks into the future. When performing live, the stage lights illuminate his wooden leg prosthesis when he leans on his handcrafted wooden stick and in his dark voice teaches his critical opinions about what's going on these days to the audience.

Search Add 3 Pombajira Formed in late 2017, POMBAJIRA was created by ex-Grave Desecrator Hellson Röcha. Soon enough, he roped in a drummer and also his old guitar-playing friend Blizzard. After a year of wasting time with this drummer, T. Splatter (Velho, Lápide, Poem's Death etc) took up the drum duties. Directly influenced by bands like Black Sabbath, Hellhammer, Venom, Pentagram, as well as others of a similar dark ilk. POMBAJIRA's moniker derives from their Afro-Brazilian cultural roots and serves as a foundation to flirt with the enigmatic spiritual imagery and sometimes superstitious atmosphere which is around them. In addition to their personal experiences, the band is influenced by magick, rebellion, sarcasm, and darkness. What results is uniquely POMBAJIRA, and what the band brand HEAVY ROCK INFERNO!

Search Add 3 Xenofanes Xenofanes is a thrash/death metal band, based in Strängnäs, Sweden. Formed in February 1993, by Jocke Hasth (guitar) and Morgan Wiklund (drums and vocals) with Danne Sporrenstrand (guitar) joining soon after. Crille Lundin (bass) and Klabbe Alaphia (vocals) joined Xenofanes in the summer of 1994, completing the lineup, and the band was initially active until November 23, 1996. The decision to restart/reform the band came about in 2009, after Jocke and Crille "met over a cup of coffee", and Klabbe, Danne, and Morgan were all asked if they wished to join again, with Klabbe being the only former member interested. After recording a 2 song demo, with studio owner Henke Borg filling in on drums, the band recruited Mange Edqvist, in August 2011, completing their lineup

Search Add 3 The InTime Quintet The InTime Quintet specializes in performing music in the style of tango nuevo created by Astor Piazzolla. The quintet consists of Henrik Perelló violin, Markku Lindeman accordion, Tuomas Turriago piano, Jorma Salmela guitar and Petri Mäkiharju bass. The musicians continue to carry on the live performance of Piazzolla's quintet music in a self-righteous manner, bringing it to its own temperament, which may not be quite normal in the Nordic countries. In 1994, InTime Quintet came to the attention of the music world by winning the first international Astor Piazzolla competition in Italy. and has since recorded 5 CDs of this music (ALBA). In addition to concerts in Finland, the band has performed in Sweden, Estonia, Denmark, Russia, France, Argentina, Japan, Emirates and Germany and has received an enthusiastic reception in concerts and jazz clubs as well as in chamber music, folk and avant-garde festivals. Finnish contemporary composers such as Kalevi Aho, Hannu Pohjannoro, Ilari Laakso, and Leonid Bashmakov have commissioned works for the quintet, with a viewpoint extending from the traditional style to the avant-garde. InTime Quintet also collaborates with dance artists such as La Camorra (Mobita-Dansco), Kaari Martin and Tommi Kitti. The InTime Quintet repertoire now also includes finnish well known songs adapted to the tango nuevo spirit. In 2015 the quintet released the record "Kotimaiset Tangoklassikot" featuring the singer Jari Pekkinen.

The following year, he was hired by the then-powerful Radio Nacional, where he would remain until 1967. This would be the peak of his productive period. There, he evolved as a musician, from copyist -his first role- to director and arranger.”

Search Add 3 This Year's Comeback Brian Matthew - Vocals. Nick Stier - Guitar. Justin Quintana - Guitar. Ken Rapsas - Bass. Ryan Connor - Drums. With Screaming guitar riffs, powerful vocals and even stronger choruses, This Year's Comeback is the perfect blend of the nostalgic 2000's pop-punk and emo sound we've all grown up with. Fans have come to say that "This Year's Comeback isn't a band, they're a party." Formed in the summer of 2014, by friends Brian Matthew, Nick Stier, and Ryan Connor, This Year's Comeback took quite a while before finding an identity for itself. However, through many line-up changes and a few genre adjustments, in September of 2016, the band finally released its first demo tracks. Despite this step in the right direction, it wasn't until February of 2017 that an official line-up had finally been set in stone. With the accompaniment of Justin Quintana and bassist, Ken Rapsas, the band was finally ready to move towards much more grandeur projects. In June, 2017, TYC released their single, "Despite The Flood", less of a demo and more of an aural assault demonstrating the band's DIY capabilities, and raw musical prowess. The year following "Despite The Flood", 2018, This Year's Comeback released their first full length studio album "Far From Fine, A Garden State Tragedy" in 2018, the followup "Missing Pages" in 2019, and their "Douglas Wake" EP in 2019. Search Add 3 The Original Bullshit Band TOBB is a Norwegian band consisting of first-call musicians working as freelancers in tv and the recording industry. TOBB was started as a playing ground for friends, all with the love for AOR-west coast music, and has since 1987 been touring on and off, mostly playing their own cover versiones of west coast and funk classics. In 2010 TOBB had the great fortune and honor of touring with the legend Bill Champlin, and he encouraged the band to record the ”lost song” Sweet Marie”, a track that didn`t make it on the legendary Chicago 17 album. Inspired by Bill, TOBB started recording their own original material witch had been neglected for years! The result is The album ”True To Our Sound” The Album consists og 10 songs with a strong emphasis on melody, with extensive vocal arrangements and horns all over every track! Guest vocalists is Bill And Tamara Champlin on Sweet Marie, a true honor for the band! The album also features a recording of The Tubes classic ballade ”Don`t want to wait anymore” with an intricate horn arrangement added! If you like Chicago, The Eagles, The Tubes etc. You will like TOBB!
