Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | EARCOM 2 | Earcom 2 is a project of experimental electronic music of Emilio Totta and Valentina Rametta. Analogue and digital synthesizers with intense grooves that propagate and extend into dizzying paths of ambient drone and gusts of noise pulsating and neurotic structures in a compact and uniform amalgam combining analog and digital instrumentation. Sonority in which darkness prevails and recall and remind Berlin's atmosphere of city center clubs.

Search | Add | 4 | Pat Fontes | Patrick Fontes | Being quoted by his peers as "Mr. Techno" this humble encyclopedia of electronic music knowledge has been there, and done that, and is still finding ways to capture the imagination of others through his music! Pat Fontes' love affair with music began at the tender age of 11 during the early 90s- collecting mix tapes he’d purchased at the local Portuguese market. As a teen he quickly progressed to buying records en mass of garage and house vinyl. By 16 Pat started DJing throughout Boston, and by the early 2000s was managing and later became owner of Satellite Records. During this time Pat was also a resident DJ and manager of the long standing often heralded, Midweek Techno in Cambridge with buddies Soul Clap. As a 22-year industry veteran and local hero Pat Fontes has shared the stage with the likes of Martin Buttrich, Paco Osuna, Timo Maas, Cassy, Pan Pot, The Orb, and Patrice Bamel. Pat’s production style is uniquely his own ranging from upbeat tech house to deep melancholic techno and house. His discography includes releases with Slumber (Amber Cox & Oona Dahl), Martin Eyer, and Derek Marin. In 2017, after being diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) Pat began focusing all of his energies towards his love of music and sharing that passion with others. “My emotions run much deeper than I could imagine and I’ve been learning how to leverage this creatively. I haven’t stopped doing what I love for 21 years- and will continue ‘til I physically can’t, and have since left my mark on this world of music and beyond.” Fontes is excited to share his upcoming release on Re.tune and Future is Now Recordings with the world, as well as some gems from techno’s past, present, and future |

His bands (Normie Dogs & the Melody Boys and the Normie Dogs Trio) entertained polka fans for over 50 years. In addition to playing for hundreds of weddings, anniversaries and private parties, Normie played throughout the Midwest at Polka Festivals and dances. He was a regular at the New Glarus Hotel and Essen Haus in Madison. On occasion he organized travel tours to Europe for his fans where he and his band performed. In Normie’s heyday, his band played up to 80 dates a year. He recorded numerous records and CD’s, many of them containing original songs. He was rewarded for his lifelong love of polka music by being inducted into the Polka Hall of Fame in November of 2001." |

Search | Add | 4 | Tàlveg | [a=Ferran Fages] - electric guitar [a=Marcellí Bayer] - baritone and alto saxophone [a=Oriol Roca] - drums Tàlveg. Behind this enigmatic name, we find three of the most experienced musicians of the Barcelona scene who, with only three years of work together, have managed to materialise a very personal way of facing improvisation and even transcending it. A very efficient mixture of individuality and common understanding. The method is scrupulous, the forms precise, and the sound generous. They know how to build sonic architectures that go beyond genres and get rid of the need for classification. Sound in its most direct, concise and at the same time, essential sense. But, if we talk about a method, it is precisely because procedure is the cornerstone of this whole building; with implicit boundaries that are never guessed, but which support each gesture and each intervention. The sound circulates as a single flow made of intriguing and captivating textures. The compositions or, perhaps it is better to say, guided improvisations are generated with a careful concentration and a limpid vision of a global sound, which allows room for the interventions and leaves more space for the listener’s interpretation. To allow them to participate fully in the experience. And "space" is the word that curiously comes to mind when listening to this music; and then the word "arid". Although sometimes the space is saturated, we sense that it is with full consciousness; in the same way that this imaginative aridity, sometimes reduced to a few harmonics, is expanded with grunts and bursts that end up flooding the space with sound. The work on listening is absolutely fundamental in this trio. To better distribute energy, each contribution is strategically dispensed; close to the form of an oratorio, but without the solemnity or religiousness that characterises it, each piece alternates possible combinations, not only to better highlight and expand the timbres and atmospheres, but also to not exhaust the global form. This alternation opens up the listening, eliminates expectation and ensures that our attention never lowers its guard. When the storm arrives, it is both beneficial and brutal at the same time; and soon, it becomes a catharsis. Tàlveg possesses the energy of the power trio and, in addition, the intelligence of proportion; each instrument has the necessary space to be able to affirm itself without having to make a place among the others; as if they all had their doors open to manifest themselves, but only at very specific moments. And every time they appear alone, their presence seems unconditional and we never miss the others. Here, structural rigour exceeds the most visceral spirit, without any ostentation; but, even so, there is an organic strength in this structure. An emotionally intense journey on course to discovery, which undoubtedly activates the imagination. Alfredo Costa Monteiro, December 2021

Search | Add | 4 | Caldicot Male Voice Choir | The Choir was founded in 1963. The origins can be traced to the searing heat at the base of a blast furnace, at the new RTB works (BSC Llanwern) that was completed in 1962. Several of the workers, who would regularly harmonise in song, were to become the new residents of the rapidly developing communities of Caldicot and Underwood. Many of them had experience of singing in long established valley choirs. It was decided to try and organise a male voice choir in Caldicot and after an informal meeting in the Cross pub, Ray Hogan, Len Waters and John Grindle walked around Caldicot, knocking on the doors of fellow steelworkers to see if there was any interest. Amongst those who were recruited that night was the fledgling Choir’s first Musical Director, Ralph Hodges and subsequently an inaugural meeting was arranged and then held in Caldicot Methodist Church.

She is also known by the previous names Gerd Pettersson, Gerd Pettersson-Ebegård and Gerd Ebegård. She grew up in a Christian home. Her musical talent was discovered early on. She had absolute hearing, which among other things meant that even as a child after listening to records she could sit at the piano and play the songs she had heard. At the age of seventeen, she became a singer-evangelist in Malmberget. In 2008, she graduated as a cantor from Hjo Folk High School and then worked as a cantor within the Church of Sweden in Jönköping, where she was responsible for the church's music school and led several choirs. In 2014, she became a church musician in Norrahammar's parish outside Jönköping, where she led some of the parish's choirs such as Norrahammar Gospel Choir, the children's choir Soul Children and the youth choir Soul Teens, after which she became cantor in Mullsjö - Sandhem's parish. She has released a number of praise song records and instrumental records and participated in the TV series Do you remember the song. Gerd Lindgren was first married in 1970–1996 to Pastor Kenneth Pettersson (born 1949) and the second time from 1997 to the sound engineer and producer [a874881] (born 1949). After the divorce, the maiden name Lindgren was taken back. |

Search | Add | 4 | Downbeat Switch | Formed in 2002, disbanded in 2017. Downbeat Switch is a band of friends with a passion for music, life, and positivity. The group was founded in the Summer of 2002 in Mathews, VA by Wayne (bass) and Meredith (guitar, vocals). They moved to Richmond, VA for college that Summer and began playing with another Mathews High School friend, Michael Register (drums), who had also moved to Richmond for school. They began jamming and recording in Meredith's basement beneath his apartment in the Fan district of downtown Richmond. They soon met Bryan Clark (vocals), a Richmond-born vocalist whom they met through Meredith's sister. The band recorded and mixed their first L.P. entitled "Funk Shui", that was comprised of raw demo songs compiled on one disk which they released on June 29th, 2004. Blending rock, funk, reggae, jazz, hip hop, and folk in an eclectic ensemble of riffs, melodies, and grooves. With rhythms from the Caribbean, to Southern rock break downs, Downbeat Switch became known for their quick changes, tight rhythmic melodies, scat-like vocal harmonies, and high-energy live shows around Virginia. In 2005, Doug DeForge (keyboard, turntables), another Mathews, VA native joined the band and the band recorded a follow-up album entitled: "Seconds", which they released on July 6th of 2005. Downbeat Switch continued to tour around Virginia and North Carolina for the following three years until Doug left the band in the Fall of 2008. Tommy Vinson (keyboard), another Richmond-born musician and friend of Meredith's joined the group in the Winter of 2008. They began writing and recording in their new studio they had built in the West End of Richmond at Wayne and Meredith's house. Downbeat Switch released their third self-produced album entitled: "Run from the Sun" on June 5th, 2009. During the recording sessions of "Run from the Sun", the band brought in a talented female guest vocalist named Jenna Bayly, to add backup vocals to a few tracks on the album. She worked out beautifully in the songs she was on, and the band asked her to start performing shows with the group full time. In the Winter of 2010, Bryan left the group after 7 years as the frontman, and Jenna stepped up to become the lead vocalist with Meredith and Tommy singing backup. She brought a whole new sound and image to the band, and inspired the group to embark on a different level of musicianship. Jenna strived to diversify the sound and lyrics on new songs, while also staying true to the rich harmonies with Meredith that the band had always been known for. On October 1st, 2010, the band released an EP entitled: "The Red Door Sessions" that featured Jenna on lead vocals on 8 previously recorded and released songs from "Run from the Sun", as well as minor mixing and mastering adjustments were done. The EP was released for free at live shows and as a free download on several of the band's websites. "The Red Door Sessions" was very well received and the group was able to distribute hundreds of physical copies just within a few months. In the Winter of 2011, after 9 years as the co-founder and drummer for the group, Michael parted ways with DbS to pursue his career in marketing and embarked on an extensive U.S. tour with a promotion company. But with his recommendation and wholehearted support, the band asked their long-time friend and supporter, Rob Reardon to pick up the drumsticks. With Rob's diverse drum styles and seasoned skills, he was the perfect fit for Downbeat Switch. Shortly after Rob joined the group, Tommy stepped down as the keyboardist and was replaced by Sean Reese. A local Richmond musician who was eager to add his own flavor to the groups already diverse sound. Since then, the band continues to write, record, and perform their music for their fans all over.
